reflect on them and know the outcome. Or
announce to us what is coming.
Who hath
declared from the beginning, that we may know? and
beforetime, that we may say, He is righteous?
yea, there is none that sheweth,
yea, there is none that
declareth,
yea, there is none that heareth your words.
Who has
declared this from the beginning, so that we may know, and from times past, so that we may say: ‘He was right’? No one
announced it, no one
foretold it, no one heard your words.

shew unto them.

declare his case before Me, since I established an ancient people. Let him
foretell the things to come, and what is to take place.

Tell ye, and bring them near;
yea, let them take counsel together: who hath
declared this from ancient time? who hath told it from that time? have not I the LORD? and there is no God else beside me; a just God and a Saviour; there is none beside me.
Speak up and present your case—
yes, let them take counsel together. Who
foretold this long ago? Who
announced it from ancient times? Was it not I, the LORD? There is no other God but Me, a righteous God and
Savior; there is none but Me.
Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure:
I
declare the end from the beginning, and ancient times from what is still to come. I say, ‘My purpose will stand, and all My good pleasure I will
accomplish.’
I have declared the former things from the beginning; and they went forth out of my mouth, and I shewed them; I did them suddenly, and they came to pass.
I
foretold the former things long ago; they came out of My mouth and I proclaimed them. Suddenly I acted, and they came to pass.
I have even from the beginning
declared it to thee; before it came to pass I shewed it thee: lest thou shouldest say, Mine
idol hath done them, and my
graven image, and my
molten image, hath commanded them.
Therefore I
declared it to you long ago; I
announced it before it came to pass, so that you could not claim, ‘My
idol has done this; my carved image and
molten god has ordained it.’
Thou hast heard, see all this; and will not ye
declare it? I have shewed thee new things from this time, even hidden things, and thou
didst not know them.
You have heard these things; look at them all. Will you not acknowledge them? From now on I will tell you of new things, hidden things unknown to you.
All ye,
assemble yourselves, and hear; which among them hath
declared these things? The LORD hath loved him: he will do his pleasure on Babylon, and his arm shall be on the Chaldeans.
Come together, all of you, and
listen: Which of the idols has
foretold these things? The LORD’s chosen ally will carry out His desire against Babylon, and His arm will be against the Chaldeans.
Go ye forth of Babylon,
flee ye from the Chaldeans, with a voice of singing
declare ye, tell this, utter it even to the end of the earth; say ye, The LORD hath redeemed his servant Jacob.
Leave Babylon!
Flee from the Chaldeans!
Declare it with a
shout of joy,
proclaim it, let it go out to the ends of the earth, saying, “The LORD has redeemed His servant Jacob!”
Lift up thine eyes round about, and behold: all these gather themselves together, and come to thee. As I live, saith the LORD, thou shalt surely
clothe thee with them all, as with an ornament, and bind them on thee, as a
bride doeth.
Lift up your eyes and look around. They all gather together; they come to you. As surely as I live,”
declares the LORD, “you will wear them all as
jewelry and put them on like a
bride.
Now therefore, what have I here, saith the LORD, that my people is taken away for
nought? they that rule over them make them to
howl, saith the LORD; and my name continually every day is
blasphemed.
And now what have I here?

taunt,
declares the LORD, and My name is
blasphemed continually all day long.
He was taken from prison and from judgment: and who shall
declare his generation? for he was cut off out of the land of the living: for the
transgression of my people was he
stricken.
By oppression and judgment He was taken away, and who can recount His descendants? For He was cut off from the land of the living; He was
stricken for the
transgression of My people.
No weapon that is formed against thee shall
prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt
condemn. This is the
heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD.
No weapon formed against you shall
prosper, and you will
refute every tongue that accuses you. This is the
heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their
vindication is from Me,”
declares the LORD.
For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD.

The Lord GOD which gathereth the outcasts of Israel saith, Yet will I gather others to him, beside those that are gathered unto him.
Thus
declares the Lord GOD, who gathers the
dispersed of Israel: “I will gather to them still others besides those already gathered.”
I will declare thy righteousness, and thy works; for they shall not profit thee.
I will
expose your righteousness and your works, and they will not profit you.
“Cry
aloud, do not hold back! Raise your voice like a ram’s horn.
Declare to My people their
transgression and to the house of Jacob their sins.
