Korah and unto all his company, saying, Even to
morrow the LORD will
shew who are his, and who is holy; and will cause him to come near unto him: even him whom he hath chosen will he cause to come near unto him.

Korah and all his followers, “
Tomorrow morning the LORD will
reveal who belongs to Him and who is holy, and He will bring that person near to Himself. The one He
chooses, He will bring near to Himself.
And put fire therein, and put incense in them before the LORD to
morrow: and it shall be that the man whom the LORD
doth choose, he shall be holy: ye take too much upon you, ye sons of Levi.
and
tomorrow you are to place fire and incense in them in the presence of the LORD. Then the man the LORD
chooses will be the one who is holy. It is you sons of Levi who have taken too much upon
yourselves!”
And it shall come to pass, that the man’s rod, whom I shall
choose, shall
blossom: and I will make to cease from me the murmurings of the children of Israel, whereby they
murmur against you.

choose will
sprout, and I will rid Myself of the constant
grumbling of the Israelites against you.”

But unto the place which the LORD your God shall
choose out of all your tribes to put his name there, even unto his
habitation shall ye seek, and thither thou shalt come:
Instead, you must seek the place the LORD your God will choose from among all your tribes to establish as a dwelling for His Name, and there you must go.
Then there shall be a place which the LORD your God shall
choose to cause his name to dwell there; thither shall ye bring all that I command you; your burnt offerings, and your sacrifices, your
tithes, and the
heave offering of your hand, and all your choice vows which ye
vow unto the LORD:

choose, thou, and thy son, and thy daughter, and thy
manservant, and thy
maidservant, and the
Levite that is within thy gates: and thou shalt
rejoice before the LORD thy God in all that thou puttest thine hands unto.
Instead, you must eat them in the presence of the LORD your God at the place the LORD your God will
choose—you, your sons and daughters, your menservants and maidservants, and the
Levite within your gates.
Rejoice before the LORD your God in all you do,
If the place which the LORD thy God hath chosen to put his name there be too far from thee, then thou shalt kill of thy
herd and of thy flock, which the LORD hath given thee, as I have commanded thee, and thou shalt eat in thy gates
whatsoever thy soul lusteth after.
If the place where the LORD your God
chooses to put His Name is too far from you, then you may slaughter any of the
herd or flock He has given you, as I have commanded you, and you may eat it within your gates whenever you want.

vow offerings and go to the place the LORD will
choose.

choose to place his name there, the
tithe of thy corn, of thy wine, and of thine oil, and the firstlings of thy herds and of thy flocks; that thou mayest learn to fear the LORD thy God always.
And you are to eat a tenth of your grain, new wine, and oil, and the
firstborn of your herds and flocks, in the presence of the LORD your God at the place He will
choose as a dwelling for His Name, so that you may learn to fear the LORD your God always.
And if the way be too long for thee, so that thou art not able to carry it; or if the place be too far from thee, which the LORD thy God shall choose to set his name there, when the LORD thy God hath blessed thee:

passover unto the LORD thy God, of the flock and the
herd, in the place which the LORD shall
choose to place his name there.

herd or flock in the place the LORD will
choose as a dwelling for His Name.
But at the place which the LORD thy God shall
choose to place his name in, there thou shalt sacrifice the
passover at even, at the going down of the sun, at the season that thou camest forth out of Egypt.

choose as a dwelling for His Name. Do this in the evening as the sun sets, at the same time you departed from Egypt.
And thou shalt
roast and eat it in the place which the LORD thy God shall
choose: and thou shalt turn in the morning, and go unto thy tents.

roast it and eat it in the place the LORD your God will
choose, and in the morning you shall return to your tents.

rejoice before the LORD thy God, thou, and thy son, and thy daughter, and thy
manservant, and thy
maidservant, and the
Levite that is within thy gates, and the stranger, and the fatherless, and the widow, that are among you, in the place which the LORD thy God hath chosen to place his name there.
and you shall
rejoice before the LORD your God in the place He will
choose as a dwelling for His Name—you, your sons and daughters, your menservants and maidservants, and the

choose: because the LORD thy God shall
bless thee in all thine increase, and in all the works of thine hands, therefore thou shalt surely
rejoice.

celebrate a feast to the LORD your God in the place He will
choose, because the LORD your God will
bless you in all your produce and in all the work of your hands, so that your joy will be complete.

plea and
plea, and between stroke and stroke, being matters of controversy within thy gates: then shalt thou arise, and get thee up into the place which the LORD thy God shall
choose;
If a case is too difficult for you to judge, whether the controversy within your gates is regarding
bloodshed, lawsuits, or assaults, you must go up to the place the LORD your God will
choose.
And thou shalt do according to the sentence, which they of that place which the LORD shall
choose shall
shew thee; and thou shalt observe to do according to all that they inform thee:
You must
abide by the
verdict they give you at the place the LORD will
choose. Be careful to do everything they
instruct you,
Thou shalt in any wise set him king over thee, whom the LORD thy God shall choose: one from among thy brethren shalt thou set king over thee: thou mayest not set a stranger over thee, which is not thy brother.

appoint over
yourselves the king whom the LORD your God shall
choose.

yourselves a foreigner who is not one of your brothers.

Levite come from any of thy gates out of all Israel, where he

choose;
Now if a
Levite moves from any town of residence throughout Israel and comes in all earnestness to the place the LORD will
choose,
He shall dwell with thee, even among you, in that place which he shall
choose in one of thy gates, where it liketh him best: thou shalt not
oppress him.
Let him live among you wherever he
chooses, in the town of his pleasing. Do not
oppress him.
That thou shalt take of the first of all the fruit of the earth, which thou shalt bring of thy land that the LORD thy God giveth thee, and shalt put it in a
basket, and shalt go unto the place which the LORD thy God shall
choose to place his name there.
you are to take some of the firstfruits of all your produce from the soil of the land that the LORD your God is giving you and put them in a
basket. Then go to the place the LORD your God will
choose as a dwelling for His Name,

cursing: therefore
choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:
I call heaven and earth as witnesses against you
today that I have set before you life and death, blessing and
cursing. Therefore
choose life, so that you and your descendants may live,

Now choose twelve men from the tribes of Israel, one from each tribe.
Take you twelve men out of the people, out of every tribe a man,

And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD,
choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the
Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.
But if it is unpleasing in your sight to serve the LORD, then
choose for
yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your fathers served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the
Amorites in whose land you are living. As for me and my house, we will serve the LORD!”
And did I
choose him out of all the tribes of Israel to be my priest, to offer upon mine altar, to burn incense, to wear an
ephod before me? and did I give unto the house of thy father all the offerings made by fire of the children of Israel?
And out of all the tribes of Israel I selected your father to be My priest, to offer sacrifices on My altar, to burn incense, and to wear an
ephod in My presence. I also gave to the house of your father all the offerings of the Israelites made by fire.
And he stood and
cried unto the armies of Israel, and said unto them, Why are ye come out to set your battle in
array? am not I a
Philistine, and ye servants to Saul?
choose you a man for you, and let him come down to me.
And
Goliath stood and
shouted to the ranks of Israel, “Why do you come out and
array yourselves for battle? Am I not a
Philistine, and are you not servants of Saul?
Choose one of your men and have him come down against me.
And Hushai said unto
Absalom,
Nay; but whom the LORD, and this people, and all the men of Israel,
choose, his will I be, and with him will I
abide.
“Not at all,” Hushai answered. “For the one chosen by the LORD, by the people, and by all the men of Israel—his I will be, and with him I will remain.
Moreover
Ahithophel said unto
Absalom, Let me now
choose out twelve thousand men, and I will arise and pursue after David this night:
Let seven men of his sons be delivered unto us, and we will
hang them up unto the LORD in Gibeah of Saul, whom the LORD did
choose. And the king said, I will give them.
let seven of his male descendants be delivered to us so that we may
hang them before the LORD at Gibeah of Saul, the chosen of the LORD.” “I will give them to you,” said the king.
Go and say unto David, Thus saith the LORD, I offer thee three things; choose thee one of them, that I may do it unto thee.

So
Gad came to David, and told him, and said unto him, Shall seven years of famine come unto thee in thy land? or
wilt thou
flee three months before thine enemies, while they pursue thee? or that there be three days’
pestilence in thy land? now
advise, and see what answer I shall return to him that sent me.
So
Gad went and said to David, “Do you
choose to
endure three years of famine in your land, three months of
fleeing the pursuit of your enemies, or three days of plague upon your land? Now then, think it over and decide how I should reply to Him who sent me.”
And
Rehoboam the son of Solomon reigned in Judah.
Rehoboam was forty and one years old when he began to reign, and he reigned seventeen years in Jerusalem, the city which the LORD did
choose out of all the tribes of Israel, to put his name there. And his mother’s name was Naamah an Ammonitess.
Meanwhile,
Rehoboam son of Solomon reigned in Judah. He was forty-one years old when he became king, and he reigned seventeen years in Jerusalem, the city the LORD had chosen from all the tribes of Israel in which to put His Name. His mother’s name was Naamah the

Let them therefore give us two bullocks; and let them
choose one
bullock for themselves, and cut it in pieces, and lay it on wood, and put no fire under: and I will dress the other
bullock, and lay it on wood, and put no fire under:
Get two bulls for us. Let the prophets of
Baal choose one bull for themselves, cut it into pieces, and place it on the wood but not light the fire. And I will prepare the other bull and place it on the wood but not light the fire.
And
Elijah said unto the prophets of
Baal,
Choose you one
bullock for
yourselves, and dress it first; for ye are many; and call on the name of your gods, but put no fire under.
Then
Elijah said to the prophets of
Baal, “Since you are so numerous,
choose for
yourselves one bull and prepare it first. Then call on the name of your god, but do not light the fire.”
And there stood a
watchman on the tower in
Jezreel, and he
spied the company of
Jehu as he came, and said, I see a company. And
Joram said, Take an
horseman, and send to meet them, and let him say, Is it peace?
Now the
watchman standing on the tower in
Jezreel saw
Jehu’s troops approaching, and he called out, “I see a company of troops!” “
Choose a rider,”
Joram commanded. “Send him out to meet them and ask, ‘Have you come in peace?’”
Go and tell David, saying, Thus saith the LORD, I offer thee three things: choose thee one of them, that I may do it unto thee.
“Go and tell David that this is what the LORD says: ‘I am offering you three options. Choose one of them, and I will carry it out against you.’”
So
Gad came to David, and said unto him, Thus saith the LORD,
Choose thee
So
Gad went and said to David, “This is what the LORD says: ‘You must
choose Thou art the LORD the God, who
didst choose Abram, and broughtest him forth out of
Ur of the Chaldees, and gavest him the name of Abraham;
You are the LORD, the God who chose
Abram, who brought him out of
Ur of the Chaldeans and gave him the name Abraham.
So that my soul
chooseth strangling, and death rather than my life.
How much less shall I answer him, and choose out my words to reason with him?
How then can I answer Him or choose my arguments against Him?
For thy mouth uttereth thine iniquity, and thou
choosest the tongue of the
crafty.
For your iniquity instructs your mouth, and you
choose the language of the
crafty.
Let us choose to us judgment: let us know among ourselves what is good.
Let us choose for ourselves what is right; let us learn together what is good.
Should it be according to thy mind? he will
recompense it, whether thou refuse, or whether thou
choose; and not I: therefore speak what thou knowest.
Should God repay you on your own terms when you have
disavowed His? You must
choose, not I; so tell me what you know.
What man is he that feareth the LORD? him shall he teach in the way that he shall choose.
Who is the man who fears the LORD? He will
instruct him in the path chosen for him.
He shall
choose our inheritance for us, the
excellency of Jacob whom he loved.
Selah.
He
chooses our inheritance for us, the pride of Jacob, whom He loves.
Selah Blessed is the man whom thou choosest, and causest to approach unto thee, that he may dwell in thy courts: we shall be satisfied with the goodness of thy house, even of thy holy temple.
Blessed is the one You
choose and bring near to dwell in Your courts! We are filled with the goodness of Your house, the
holiness of Your temple.
When I shall receive the congregation I will judge uprightly.
“When I choose a time, I will judge fairly.
For that they
hated knowledge, and did not
choose the fear of the LORD:
For they
hated knowledge and chose not to fear the LORD.
Do not
envy a violent man or
choose any of his ways;
Butter and honey shall he eat, that he may know to refuse the evil, and choose the good.
By the time He knows enough to
reject evil and
choose good, He will be eating curds and honey.
For before the child shall know to refuse the evil, and
choose the good, the land that thou abhorrest shall be
forsaken of both her kings.
For before the boy knows enough to
reject evil and
choose good, the land of the two kings you
dread will be laid waste.
For the LORD will have mercy on Jacob, and will yet
choose Israel, and set them in their own land: and the strangers shall be joined with them, and they shall
cleave to the house of Jacob.
For the LORD will have
compassion on Jacob; once again He will
choose Israel and settle them in their own land. The foreigner will join them and unite with the house of Jacob.
Behold, ye are of nothing, and your work of
nought: an
abomination is he that
chooseth you.
Behold, you are nothing and your work is of no value.
Anyone who
chooses you is
detestable.
Thus saith the LORD, the
Redeemer of Israel, and his Holy One, to him whom man despiseth, to him whom the nation abhorreth, to a servant of rulers, Kings shall see and arise, princes also shall worship, because of the LORD that is faithful, and the Holy One of Israel, and he shall
choose thee.
Thus says the LORD, the
Redeemer and Holy One of Israel, to Him who was
despised and
abhorred by the nation, to the Servant of rulers: “Kings will see You and rise, and princes will bow down, because of the LORD, who is faithful, the Holy One of Israel, who has chosen You.”
For thus saith the LORD unto the eunuchs that keep my sabbaths, and choose the things that please me, and take hold of my covenant;
For this is what the LORD says: “To the eunuchs who keep My Sabbaths, who choose what pleases Me and hold fast to My covenant—
Therefore will I number you to the sword, and ye shall all bow down to the slaughter: because when I called, ye did not answer; when I spake, ye did not hear; but did evil before mine eyes, and did choose that wherein I delighted not.
I will
destine you for the sword, and you will all
kneel down to be slaughtered, because I called and you did not answer, I spoke and you did not
listen; you did evil in My sight and chose that in which I did not delight.”
I also will choose their delusions, and will bring their fears upon them; because when I called, none did answer; when I spake, they did not hear: but they did evil before mine eyes, and chose that in which I delighted not.
So I will
choose their punishment and I will bring terror upon them, because I called and no one answered, I spoke and no one
listened. But they did evil in My sight and chose that in which I did not delight.”
And death shall be chosen rather than life by all the residue of them that remain of this evil family, which remain in all the places
whither I have driven them, saith the LORD of hosts.
And wherever I have banished them, the
remnant of this evil family will
choose death over life,” declares the LORD of Hosts.
Also, thou son of man,
appoint thee two ways, that the sword of the king of Babylon may come: both
twain shall come forth out of one land: and
choose thou a place,
choose it at the head of the way to the city.
“Now you, son of man, mark out two roads for the sword of the king of Babylon to take, both starting from the same land. And make a
signpost where the road branches off to each city.
Son of man, speak to the children of thy people, and say unto them, When I bring the sword upon a land, if the people of the land take a man of their coasts, and set him for their
watchman:
“Son of man, speak to your people and tell them: ‘Suppose I bring the sword against a land, and the people of that land
choose a man from among them,
appointing him as their
watchman,
Cry yet, saying, Thus saith the LORD of hosts; My cities through prosperity shall yet be spread abroad; and the LORD shall yet comfort
Zion, and shall yet
choose Jerusalem.
Proclaim further that this is what the LORD of Hosts says: ‘My cities will again overflow with prosperity; the LORD will again comfort
Zion and
choose Jerusalem.’”
And the LORD shall
inherit Judah his portion in the holy land, and shall
choose Jerusalem again.
And the LORD will take possession of Judah as His portion in the Holy Land, and He will once again choose Jerusalem.
All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to
whomsoever the Son will
reveal him.
All things have been entrusted to Me by My Father. No one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and those to whom the Son
chooses to
reveal Him.
All things are delivered to me of my Father: and no man knoweth who the Son is, but the Father; and who the Father is, but the Son, and he to whom the Son will
reveal him.
All things have been entrusted to Me by My Father. No one knows who the Son is except the Father, and no one knows who the Father is except the Son and those to whom the Son
chooses to
reveal Him.”
Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that
whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.
You did not choose Me, but I chose you. And I appointed you to go and bear fruit—fruit that will remain—so that whatever you ask the Father in My name, He will give you.
Wherefore of these men which have
companied with us all the time that the Lord Jesus went in and out among us,
Therefore it is necessary to choose one of the men who have accompanied us the whole time the Lord Jesus went in and out among us,
It seemed good unto us, being assembled with one
accord, to send chosen men unto you with our beloved
Barnabas and Paul,
So we all agreed to
choose men to send to you along with our beloved
Barnabas and Paul,
But if I live in the flesh, this is the fruit of my labour: yet what I shall
choose I
wot not.
But if I go on living in the body, this will mean fruitful labor for me. So what shall I choose? I do not know.
Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is
enmity with God?
whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.
You adulteresses! Do you not know that friendship with the world is hostility toward God? Therefore,
whoever chooses to be a friend of the world renders himself an enemy of God.
Now when they lived so wickedly before thee, thou
didst choose thee a man from among them, whose name was Abraham.
And unto him thou gavest Isaac, and unto Isaac also thou gavest Jacob and
Esau. As for Jacob, thou
didst choose him to thee, and put by
Esau: and so Jacob became a great multitude.
For this is the life
whereof Moses spake unto the people while he lived, saying,
Choose thee life, that thou mayest live.
Those did not the Lord choose, neither gave he the way of knowledge unto them:
Then said
Judas unto Simon his brother,
Choose thee out men, and go and deliver thy brethren that are in
Galilee, for I and
Jonathan my brother will go into the country of Galaad.
Thou, O Lord,
didst choose this house to be called by thy name, and to be a house of prayer and petition for thy people:
And as for the tower which is at Jerusalem, I yield up authority over it, and give the high priest, that he may set in it such men as he shall choose to keep it.
Therefore send them now home again, and
choose a few men to wait on thee, and come thou with me to
Ptolemais, for I will give it thee, and the rest of the strong holds and forces, and all that have any charge: as for me, I will return and depart: for this is the cause of my coming.
The only giver of all things, the only just,
almighty, and
everlasting, thou that deliverest Israel from all trouble, and
didst choose the fathers, and
sanctify them:
Nevertheless God did not choose the people for the place’s sake, but the place far the people’s sake.
