And Moses spake before the LORD, saying, Behold, the children of Israel have not
hearkened unto me; how then shall Pharaoh hear me, who am of
uncircumcised lips?
But in the LORD’s presence Moses replied, “If the Israelites will not
listen to me, then why would Pharaoh
listen to me, since I am unskilled in speech?”
And Moses said before the LORD, Behold, I am of
uncircumcised lips, and how shall Pharaoh
hearken unto me?
But in the LORD’s presence Moses replied, “Since I am unskilled in speech, why would Pharaoh
listen to me?”
And it shall be for a sign unto thee upon thine hand, and for a
memorial between thine eyes, that the LORD’S law may be in thy mouth: for with a strong hand hath the LORD brought thee out of Egypt.
It shall be a sign for you on your hand and a reminder on your
forehead that the Law of the LORD is to be on your
lips. For with a mighty hand the LORD brought you out of Egypt.
And in all things that I have said unto you be
circumspect: and make no mention of the name of other gods, neither let it be heard out of thy mouth.
Pay close attention to everything I have said to you. You must not
invoke the names of other gods; they must not be heard on your
lips.
Or if a soul
swear,
pronouncing with his
lips to do evil, or to do good,
whatsoever it be that a man shall
pronounce with an oath, and it be
hid from him; when he knoweth of it, then he shall be guilty in one of these.
Or if someone swears
thoughtlessly with his
lips to do anything good or evil—in whatever matter a man may
rashly pronounce an oath—even if he is unaware of it, when he realizes it, he is guilty in the matter.
And the
leper in whom the plague is, his clothes shall be rent, and his head bare, and he shall put a covering upon his upper

And if she had at all an husband, when she
vowed, or uttered ought out of her
lips,
wherewith she bound her soul;
If a woman marries while under a
vow or
rash promise by which she has bound herself,
But if her husband disallowed her on the day that he heard it; then he shall make her
vow which she
vowed, and that which she uttered with her
lips,
wherewith she bound her soul, of none effect: and the LORD shall
forgive her.
But if her husband prohibits her when he hears of it, he nullifies the
vow that binds her or the
rash promise she has made, and the LORD will
absolve her.
But if her husband hath utterly made them void on the day he heard them; then
whatsoever proceeded out of her
lips concerning her vows, or concerning the bond of her soul, shall not stand: her husband hath made them void; and the LORD shall
forgive her.
But if her husband nullifies them on the day he hears of them, then nothing that came from her
lips, whether her vows or pledges, shall stand. Her husband has
nullified them, and the LORD will
absolve her.

lips, because you have freely
vowed to the LORD your God with your own mouth.

befallen them, that this song shall
testify against them as a witness; for it shall not be forgotten out of the mouths of their seed: for I know their imagination which they go about, even now, before I have brought them into the land which I
sware.
And when many troubles and afflictions have come upon them, this song will
testify against them, because it will not be forgotten from the
lips of their descendants. For I know their inclination, even before I bring them into the land that I
swore to give them.”
Now
Hannah, she spake in her heart; only her
lips moved, but her voice was not heard: therefore
Eli thought she had been
drunken.
Hannah was praying in her heart, and though her
lips were moving, her voice could not be heard. So
Eli thought she was
drunk Because thy
rage against me and thy
tumult is come up into mine ears, therefore I will put my hook in thy nose, and my
bridle in thy
lips, and I will turn thee back by the way by which thou camest.
Because your
rage and
arrogance against Me have reached My ears, I will put My hook in your nose and My
bit in your mouth; I will send you back the way you came.’

foolish women speaketh. What? shall we receive good at the hand of God, and shall we not receive evil? In all this did not Job sin with his
lips.

lips.

lips should
asswage your grief.

lips.
