Calling a
ravenous bird from the east, the man that executeth my counsel from a far country:
yea, I have spoken it, I will also bring it to pass; I have
purposed it, I will also do it.

summon a bird of prey from the east, a man for My
purpose from a far-off land. Truly I have spoken, and truly I will bring it to pass. I have
planned it, and I will surely do it.
For this shall the earth
mourn, and the heavens above be black: because I have spoken it, I have

planned, and I will not relent or turn back.”

purpose cometh there to me incense from
Sheba, and the sweet cane from a far country? your burnt offerings are not acceptable, nor your sacrifices sweet unto me.

hearken, and turn every man from his evil way, that I may
repent me of the evil, which I
purpose to do unto them because of the evil of their doings.

listen and turn—each from his evil way of life—so that I may relent of the
disaster I am
planning to bring upon them because of the evil of their deeds.
The fierce anger of the LORD shall not return, until he have done it, and until he have performed the intents of his heart: in the latter days ye shall consider it.
The fierce anger of the LORD will not turn back until He has fully accomplished the purposes of His heart. In the days to come you will understand this.

purpose to do unto them; that they may return every man from his evil way; that I may
forgive their iniquity and their sin.

forgive their iniquity and their sin.”
Therefore hear the counsel of the LORD, that he hath taken against
Edom; and his
purposes, that he hath
purposed against the inhabitants of Teman: Surely the least of the flock shall draw them out: surely he shall make their habitations

Edom and the strategies He has devised against the people of Teman: Surely the little ones of the flock will be
dragged away; certainly their pasture will be made
desolate because of them.

dragged away; certainly their pasture will be made
desolate because of them.

tremble and sorrow: for every

desolation, without inhabitant.

signet, and with the

signet ring and with the rings of his nobles, so that nothing concerning Daniel could be changed.
Then said he unto me, Fear not, Daniel: for from the first day that thou
didst set thine heart to understand, and to
chasten thyself before thy God, thy words were heard, and I am come for thy words.

purposed to understand and to humble
yourself before your God, your words were heard, and I have come in
response to them.
But my words and my statutes, which I commanded my servants the prophets, did they not take hold of your fathers? and they returned and said, Like as the LORD of hosts thought to do unto us, according to our ways, and according to our doings, so hath he dealt with us.

purpose or
endeavor is of human origin, it will fail.

appoint you as a servant and as a witness of what you have seen from Me and what I will show you.

Now I would not have you ignorant, brethren, that
oftentimes I
purposed to come unto you, (but was let hitherto,) that I might have some fruit among you also, even as among other Gentiles.
I do not want you to be unaware, brothers, how often I
planned to come to you (but have been prevented from visiting until now), in order that I might have a harvest among you, just as I have had among the other Gentiles.

Yet before the twins were born or had done anything good or bad, in order that God’s plan of election might stand,
For the scripture saith unto Pharaoh, Even for this same
purpose have I raised thee up, that I might

When I therefore was thus minded, did I use lightness? or the things that I
purpose, do I
purpose according to the flesh, that with me there should be
yea yea, and
nay nay?
When I
planned this, did I do it
carelessly? Or do I make my plans by human standards, so as to say “
Yes,
yes” when I really mean “No, no”?
For to this end also did I write, that I might know the proof of you, whether ye be
obedient in all things.
My
purpose in writing you was to see if you would stand the test and be
obedient in everything.
Now he that hath wrought us for the
selfsame thing is God, who also hath given unto us the earnest of the Spirit.
And God has prepared us for this very
purpose and has given us the Spirit as a
pledge of what is to come.
Every man according as he
purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not
grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a
cheerful giver.
Each one should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not out of
regret or
compulsion. For God loves a
cheerful giver.
But it is good to be
zealously affected always in a good thing, and not only when I am present with you.
Nevertheless, it is good to be
zealous if it serves a noble
purpose—at any time, and not only when I am with you.

According to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord:
according to the eternal purpose that He accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Whom I have sent unto you for the same purpose, that ye might know our affairs, and that he might comfort your hearts.
I have sent him to you for this very
purpose, that you may know about us, and that he may
encourage your hearts.
Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, being of one
accord, of one mind.
then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being united in spirit and purpose.
For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.
For it is God who works in you to will and to act on behalf of His good purpose.
Whom I have sent unto you for the same purpose, that he might know your estate, and comfort your hearts;
I have sent him to you for this very
purpose, that you may know about us, and that he may
encourage your hearts.

purpose, my faith, my

perseverance,
Wherein God, willing more abundantly to
shew unto the heirs of promise the

He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.
The one who practices sin is of the devil, because the devil has been
sinning from the very start. This is why the Son of God was revealed, to destroy the works of the devil.
These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast.
These kings have one purpose: to yield their power and authority to the beast.
For God hath put in their hearts to fulfil his will, and to agree, and give their kingdom unto the beast, until the words of God shall be fulfilled.
For God has put it into their hearts to carry out His purpose by uniting to give their kingdom to the beast, until the words of God are fulfilled.

purpose not to return into the city, but here to stay, and neither to eat nor drink, but continually to
mourn and to fast until I die.
For ye cannot find the depth of the heart of man, neither can ye perceive the things that he thinketh: then how can ye search out God, that hath made all these things, and know his mind, or
comprehend his
purpose?
Nay, my brethren,
provoke not the Lord our God to anger.
Throw down their strength in thy power, and bring down their force in thy wrath: for they have
purposed to
defile thy sanctuary, and to
pollute the tabernacle where thy glorious name resteth and to cast down with sword the horn of thy altar.
And make my speech and
deceit to be their wound and
stripe, who have
purposed cruel things against thy covenant, and thy
hallowed house, and against the top of
Sion, and against the house of the possession of thy children.
And if thou
wilt follow the words of thine
handmaid, God will bring the thing perfectly to pass by thee; and my lord shall not fail of his
purposes.
And now, that my lord be not defeated and
frustrate of his
purpose, even death is now fallen upon them, and their sin hath overtaken them,
wherewith they will
provoke their God to anger
whensoever they shall do that which is not fit to be done:
For their
victuals fail them, and all their water is
scant, and they have determined to lay hands upon their cattle, and
purposed to
consume all those things, that God hath forbidden them to eat by his laws:
Now
Judith had commanded her
maid to stand without her
bedchamber, and to wait for her. coming forth, as she did daily: for she said she would go forth to her prayers, and she spake to Bagoas according to the same
purpose.
And he heard their devices, and searched out their
purposes, and learned that they were about to lay hands upon Artexerxes the king; and so he
certified the king of them.
After that I became lord over many nations and had dominion over the whole world, not lifted up with
presumption of my authority, but carrying myself always with
equity and mildness, I
purposed to settle my subjects continually in a quiet life, and making my kingdom peaceable, and open for passage to the utmost coasts, to renew peace, which is desired of all men.
