brook; and ye shall
rejoice before the LORD your God seven days.

And they came unto the
brook of
Eshcol, and cut down from thence a branch with one
cluster of grapes, and they bare it between two upon a staff; and they brought of the pomegranates, and of the figs.
When they came to the Valley of
Eshcol, they cut down a branch with a single
cluster of grapes, which they carried on a pole between two men. They also took some pomegranates and figs.
The place was called the
brook Eshcol, because of the
cluster of grapes which the children of Israel cut down from thence.
Because of the
cluster of grapes the Israelites cut there, that place was called the Valley of
Eshcol.
Wherefore it is said in the book of the wars of the LORD, What he did in the Red sea, and in the
brooks of
Arnon,
Therefore it is stated in the Book of the Wars of the LORD: “Waheb in Suphah and the wadis of the
Arnon,
And at the stream of the
brooks that goeth down to the dwelling of Ar, and lieth upon the border of Moab.
even the slopes of the wadis that extend to the site of Ar and lie along the border of Moab.”
And the border shall
fetch a compass from Azmon unto the river of Egypt, and the goings out of it shall be at the sea.
where it will turn from Azmon, join the Brook of Egypt, and end at the Sea.

And I took your sin, the
calf which ye had made, and burnt it with fire, and stamped it, and ground it very small, even until it was as small as dust: and I cast the dust thereof into the
brook that descended out of the mount.
And I took that sinful thing, the
calf you had made, and burned it in the fire. Then I
crushed it and ground it to powder as fine as dust, and I cast it into the stream that came down from the mountain.

The border went out from Tappuah westward unto the river Kanah; and the goings out thereof were at the sea. This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Ephraim by their families.
From Tappuah the border went westward to the Brook of Kanah and ended at the Sea. This was the inheritance of the clans of the tribe of Ephraim,
And the coast descended unto the river Kanah, southward of the river: these cities of Ephraim are among the cities of
Manasseh: the coast of
Manasseh also was on the north side of the river, and the outgoings of it were at the sea:
From there the border continued southward to the
Brook of Kanah. There were cities belonging to Ephraim among the cities of
Manasseh, but the border of
Manasseh was on the north side of the
brook and ended at the Sea.
And their border went up toward the sea, and Maralah, and reached to Dabbasheth, and reached to the river that is before Jokneam;

brook, and put them in a
shepherd’s

faint that they could not follow David, whom they had made also to
abide at the
brook Besor: and they went forth to meet David, and to meet the people that were with him: and when David came near to the people, he
saluted them.
When David came to the two hundred men who had been too exhausted to follow him from the
Brook of Besor, they came out to meet him and the troops with him. As David approached the men, he
greeted them,
And all the country
wept with a loud voice, and all the people passed over: the king also himself passed over the
brook Kidron, and all the people passed over, toward the way of the wilderness.
Everyone in the
countryside was
weeping loudly as all the people passed by. And as the king crossed the Kidron Valley, all the people also passed toward the way of the wilderness.

When
Absalom’s servants came to the woman at the house, they asked, “Where are
Ahimaaz and
Jonathan?” “They have crossed over the
brook,” she replied. The men searched but did not find them, so they returned to Jerusalem.

For it shall be, that on the day thou goest out, and passest over the brook Kidron, thou shalt know for certain that thou shalt surely die: thy blood shall be upon thine own head.
On the day you go out and cross the Kidron Valley, know for sure that you will die; your blood will be on your own head.”

Get thee hence, and turn thee eastward, and hide
thyself by the
brook Cherith, that is before Jordan.
“Leave here, turn eastward, and hide
yourself by the
Brook of Cherith, east of the Jordan.
And it shall be, that thou shalt drink of the brook; and I have commanded the ravens to feed thee there.
And you are to drink from the brook, and I have commanded the ravens to feed you there.”

Obadiah, “Go throughout the land to every spring and every valley. Perhaps we will find grass to keep the horses and mules alive so that we will not have to destroy any
livestock.”

brook Kidron.
He pulled down the altars that the kings of Judah had set up on the roof near the upper chamber of
Ahaz, and the altars that
Manasseh had set up in the two courtyards of the house of the LORD. The king
pulverized them there and threw their dust into the Kidron Valley.
And the king of Egypt came not again any more out of his land: for the king of Babylon had taken from the river of Egypt unto the river Euphrates all that
pertained to the king of Egypt.

Hurai from the

Hamath unto the river of Egypt.
So at that time Solomon and all Israel with him—a very great assembly of people from Lebo-
hamath to the
Brook of Egypt—kept the feast for seven days.
And also concerning Maachah the mother of
Asa the king, he removed her from being queen, because she had made an

To
morrow go ye down against them: behold, they come up by the
cliff of Ziz; and ye shall find them at the end of the
brook, before the wilderness of Jeruel.
Tomorrow you are to march down against them. You will see them coming up the
Ascent of Ziz, and you will find them at the end of the valley facing the Wilderness of Jeruel.
And the priests went into the inner part of the house of the LORD, to
cleanse it, and brought out all the uncleanness that they found in the temple of the LORD into the court of the house of the LORD. And the Levites took it, to carry it out abroad into the

plenty of water?” they said.
Then went I up in the night by the brook, and viewed the wall, and turned back, and entered by the gate of the valley, and so returned.

inspected the wall. Then I headed back and reentered through the Valley Gate.
My brethren have dealt
deceitfully as a
brook, and as the stream of
brooks they pass away;
But my brothers are as faithless as wadis, as
seasonal streams that overflow,
He shall not see the rivers, the floods, the
brooks of honey and butter.
He will not enjoy the streams, the rivers flowing with honey and
cream.
Then shalt thou lay up gold as dust, and the gold of
Ophir as the stones of the
brooks.
and
consign your gold to the dust and the gold of
Ophir to the stones of the ravines,
The
shady trees cover him with their shadow; the willows of the
brook compass him about.
As the
hart panteth after the water
brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God.
As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul longs after You, O God.
Do unto them as unto the Midianites; as to Sisera, as to Jabin, at the brook of Kison:
Do to them as You did to
Midian, as to Sisera and Jabin at the River
Kishon,
He shall drink of the brook in the way: therefore shall he lift up the head.
He will drink from the brook by the road; therefore He will lift up His head.
The words of a man’s mouth are as deep waters, and the
wellspring of wisdom as a flowing
brook.
The words of a man’s mouth are deep waters; the fountain of wisdom is a
bubbling brook.
Therefore the abundance they have
gotten, and that which they have laid up, shall they carry away to the
brook of the willows.
So they carry their wealth and belongings over the Brook of the Willows.
And they shall turn the rivers far away; and the
brooks of defence shall be
emptied and dried up: the reeds and flags shall wither.
The canals will
stink; the streams of Egypt will
trickle and dry up; the reeds and rushes will wither.
The paper reeds by the
brooks, by the mouth of the
brooks, and every thing sown by the
brooks, shall wither, be driven away, and be no more.
The bulrushes by the Nile, by the mouth of the river, and all the fields sown along the Nile, will wither, blow away, and be no more.
The fishers also shall
mourn, and all they that cast angle into the
brooks shall
lament, and they that spread nets upon the waters shall
languish.
Then the
fishermen will
mourn, all who cast a hook into the Nile will
lament, and those who spread nets on the waters will pine away.
And the whole valley of the dead bodies, and of the ashes, and all the fields unto the
brook of Kidron, unto the corner of the horse gate toward the east, shall be holy unto the LORD; it shall not be
plucked up, nor thrown down any more for ever.
The whole valley of the dead bodies and ashes, and all the fields as far as the Kidron Valley, to the corner of the Horse Gate to the east, will be holy to the LORD. It will never again be uprooted or
demolished.”
And the south side southward, from Tamar even to the waters of
strife in Kadesh, the river to the great sea. And this is the south side southward.
On the south side it will run from Tamar to the waters of Meribath-kadesh, and along the Brook of Egypt to the Great Sea. This will be the southern boundary.
And by the border of
Gad, at the south side southward, the border shall be even from Tamar unto the waters of
strife in Kadesh, and to the river toward the great sea.
The southern border of
Gad will run from Tamar to the waters of Meribath-kadesh, then along the
Brook of Egypt and out to the Great Sea.
But, behold, I will raise up against you a nation, O house of Israel, saith the LORD the God of hosts; and they shall
afflict you from the entering in of Hemath unto the river of the wilderness.
For behold, I will raise up a nation against you, O house of Israel,” declares the LORD, the God of Hosts, “and they will
oppress you from Lebo-
hamath to the
Brook of the Arabah.”

brooks and the river shall be filled with their dead, till it overflow:
Then the children of
Esau went up with the children of
Ammon, and camped in the hill country over against Dothaim: and they sent some of them toward the south, and toward the east over against Ekrebel, which is near unto Chusi, that is upon the
brook Mochmur; and the rest of the army of the Assyrians camped in the plain, and covered the face of the whole land; and their tents and carriages were pitched to a very great multitude.
I also came out as a
brook from a river, and as a
conduit into a garden.
I said, I will water my best garden, and will water abundantly my garden bed: and, lo, my brook became a river, and my river became a sea.
Hearken unto me, ye holy children, and
bud forth as a rose growing by the
brook of the field:
After these things gathered
Timotheus another host and
encamped against Raphon beyond the
brook.
He hath also
hired the Arabians to help them and they have pitched their tents beyond the
brook, ready to come and fight against thee. Upon this
Judas went to meet them.
Then
Timotheus said unto the captains of his host, When
Judas and his host come near the
brook, if he pass over first unto us, we shall not be able to
withstand him; for he will
mightily prevail against us:
Now when
Judas came near the
brook, he caused the
scribes of the people to remain by the
brook: unto whom he gave commandment, saying, Suffer no man to remain in the camp, but let all come to the battle.
Upon this they came together to build up the city,
forasmuch as part of the wall toward the
brook on the east side was fallen down, and they repaired that which was called Caphenatha.
And when as they rose in the morning, and went into the plain, behold, a mighty great host both of
footmen and
horsemen came against them:
howbeit there was a water
brook betwixt them.
So he and his people pitched over against them: and when he saw that the people were afraid to go over the water brook, he went first over himself, and then the men seeing him passed through after him.
