hither these men, which are neither robbers of
churches, nor yet blasphemers of your goddess.

blasphemed our goddess.

heed therefore unto
yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the
church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.
Keep watch over
yourselves and the entire flock of which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers. Be
shepherds of the
church of God, which He purchased with His own blood.
I
commend unto you
Phebe our sister, which is a servant of the
church which is at Cenchrea:
I
commend to you our sister
Phoebe, a servant of the

Who have for my life laid down their own necks: unto whom not only I give
thanks, but also all the
churches of the Gentiles.
who have risked their lives for me. Not only I but all the
churches of the Gentiles are
grateful to them.
Likewise
greet the
church that is in their house.
Salute my wellbeloved Epaenetus, who is the firstfruits of
Achaia unto Christ.
Greet also the
church that meets at their house.
Greet my beloved Epenetus, who was the first convert to Christ in the province of Asia.
Greet one another with a holy
kiss. All the
churches of Christ send you greetings.
Gaius mine host, and of the whole
church, saluteth you.
Erastus the
chamberlain of the city saluteth you, and Quartus a brother.
Gaius, who has hosted me and all the

treasurer, sends you greetings, as does our brother Quartus.
Unto the
church of God which is at Corinth, to them that are
sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all that in every place call upon the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both theirs and ours:
To the
church of God in Corinth, to those
sanctified in Christ Jesus and called to be holy, together with all those everywhere who call on the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, their Lord and ours:
For this cause have I sent unto you
Timotheus, who is my beloved son, and faithful in the Lord, who shall bring you into
remembrance of my ways which be in Christ, as I teach every where in every
church.
That is why I have sent you
Timothy, my beloved and faithful child in the Lord. He will remind you of my way of life in Christ Jesus, which is exactly what I teach everywhere in every
church.
For what have I to do to judge them also that are without? do not ye judge them that are within?
What business of mine is it to judge those outside the church? Are you not to judge those inside?
If then ye have judgments of things pertaining to this life, set them to judge who are least esteemed in the church.
So if you need to settle
everyday matters, do you
appoint as judges those of no standing in the
church?
But as God hath distributed to every man, as the Lord hath called every one, so let him walk. And so
ordain I in all
churches.
Regardless, each one should lead the life that the Lord has assigned to him and to which God has called him. This is what I
prescribe in all the
churches.
Give none offence, neither to the Jews, nor to the Gentiles, nor to the church of God:
Do not become a
stumbling block, whether to Jews or Greeks or the
church of God—
But if any man seem to be
contentious, we have no such custom, neither the
churches of God.
If
anyone is inclined to dispute this, we have no other practice, nor do the
churches of God.
For first of all, when ye come together in the church, I hear that there be divisions among you; and I partly believe it.
First of all, I hear that when you come together as a church, there are divisions among you, and in part I believe it.
What? have ye not houses to eat and to drink in? or
despise ye the
church of God, and shame them that have not? What shall I say to you? shall I praise you in this? I praise you not.
Don’t you have your own homes in which to eat and drink? Or do you
despise the
church of God and
humiliate those who have nothing? What can I say to you? Shall I praise you for this? No, I will not!
And God hath set some in the
church, first apostles,
secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments,
diversities of tongues.
And in the
church God has appointed first of all apostles, second prophets, third teachers, then workers of miracles, and those with gifts of
healing, helping, administration, and various tongues.
He that speaketh in an unknown tongue edifieth himself; but he that prophesieth edifieth the church.
The one who speaks in a tongue edifies himself, but the one who prophesies edifies the church.
I would that ye all spake with tongues, but rather that ye
prophesied: for greater is he that prophesieth than he that speaketh with tongues, except he
interpret, that the
church may receive
edifying.
I wish that all of you could speak in tongues, but I would rather have you
prophesy. He who prophesies is greater than one who speaks in tongues, unless he interprets so that the
church may be
edified.
It is the same with you. Since you are eager to have spiritual gifts,
strive to
excel in gifts that build up the
church.
Yet in the church I had rather speak five words with my understanding, that by my voice I might teach others also, than ten thousand words in an unknown tongue.
But in the
church, I would rather speak five
coherent words to
instruct others than ten thousand words in a tongue.
If therefore the whole
church be come together into one place, and all speak with tongues, and there come in those that are unlearned, or unbelievers, will they not say that ye are
mad?
So if the whole
church comes together and
everyone speaks in tongues, and some who are
uninstructed or some unbelievers come in, will they not say that you are out of your minds?
How is it then, brethren? when ye come together, every one of you hath a
psalm, hath a doctrine, hath a tongue, hath a revelation, hath an interpretation. Let all things be done unto
edifying.
What then shall we say, brothers? When you come together,
everyone has a
psalm or a teaching, a revelation, a tongue, or an interpretation. All of these must be done to build up the
church.
But if there be no
interpreter, let him keep silence in the
church; and let him speak to himself, and to God.
But if there is no
interpreter, he should remain silent in the
church and speak only to himself and God.
For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.
For God is not a God of disorder, but of peace—as in all the churches of the saints.
Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience, as also saith the law.
Women are to be silent in the churches. They are not permitted to speak, but must be in submission, as the law says.
And if they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church.
If they wish to inquire about something, they are to ask their own husbands at home; for it is dishonorable for a woman to speak in the church.
For I am the least of the apostles, that am not meet to be called an apostle, because I
persecuted the
church of God.
For I am the least of the apostles and am unworthy to be called an apostle, because I
persecuted the
church of God.
Now concerning the collection for the saints, as I have given order to the
churches of
Galatia, even so do ye.
Now about the collection for the saints, you are to do as I directed the
churches of
Galatia:
The
churches in the province of Asia send you greetings.
Aquila and Prisca
greet you warmly in the Lord, and so does the
church that meets at their house.
Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, and
Timothy our brother, unto the
church of God which is at Corinth, with all the saints which are in all
Achaia:
Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God, and
Timothy our brother, To the
church of God in Corinth, together with all the saints throughout
Achaia:
Moreover, brethren, we do you to wit of the grace of God bestowed on the
churches of
Macedonia;
Now, brothers, we want you to know about the grace that God has given the
churches of
Macedonia.
And we have sent with him the brother, whose praise is in the gospel throughout all the churches;
Along with
Titus we are sending the brother who is praised by all the
churches for his work in the gospel.
And not that only, but who was also chosen of the churches to travel with us with this grace, which is administered by us to the glory of the same Lord, and declaration of your ready mind:
More than that, this brother was chosen by the
churches to
accompany us with the offering—the
gracious gift we
administer to honor the Lord Himself and to show our eagerness to help.
Whether any do
enquire of
Titus, he is my
partner and fellowhelper concerning you: or our brethren be enquired of, they are the messengers of the
churches, and the glory of Christ.
As for
Titus, he is my
partner and fellow worker among you. As for our brothers, they are messengers of the
churches, to the glory of Christ.
Wherefore
shew ye to them, and before the
churches, the proof of your love, and of our
boasting on your behalf.
In full view of the
churches, then, show these men the proof of your love and the reason for our
boasting about you.
I
robbed other
churches, taking wages of them, to do you service.
I
robbed other
churches by accepting their support in order to serve you.
Beside those things that are without, that which cometh upon me daily, the care of all the churches.
Apart from these external trials, I face daily the pressure of my
concern for all the
churches.
For what is it wherein ye were inferior to other
churches, except it be that I myself was not
burdensome to you?
forgive me this wrong.
In what way were you inferior to the other
churches, except that I was not a burden to you?
Forgive me this wrong!
And all the brethren which are with me, unto the
churches of
Galatia:
and all the brothers with me, To the
churches of
Galatia:
For ye have heard of my conversation in time past in the Jews’ religion, how that beyond measure I
persecuted the
church of God, and wasted it:
For you have heard of my former way of life in
Judaism, how severely I
persecuted the
church of God and tried to destroy it.
And was unknown by face unto the churches of Judaea which were in Christ:
I was personally unknown, however, to the
churches of
Judea that are in Christ.
And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church,
And God put everything under His feet and made Him head over everything for the church,
To the intent that now unto the
principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the
church the
manifold wisdom of God,
His purpose was that now, through the
church, the
manifold wisdom of God should be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly realms,
Unto him be glory in the
church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end.
Amen.
to Him be the glory in the
church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations,
forever and ever.
Amen.
For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.
For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the
church, His body, of which He is the
Savior.
Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.
Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything.
Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;
Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave Himself up for her
That he might present it to himself a glorious
church, not having spot, or
wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without
blemish.
For no man ever yet
hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the
church:
Indeed, no one ever
hated his own body, but he nourishes and cherishes it, just as Christ does the
church.
This is a great
mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the
church.
This
mystery is profound, but I am speaking about Christ and the
church.
as to zeal,
persecuting the
church; as to righteousness in the law, faultless.
Now ye
Philippians know also, that in the beginning of the gospel, when I departed from
Macedonia, no
church communicated with me as concerning giving and receiving, but ye only.
And as you
Philippians know, in the early days of the gospel, when I left
Macedonia, no
church but you partnered with me in the matter of giving and receiving.
And he is the head of the body, the
church: who is the beginning, the
firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.
And He is the head of the body, the
church; He is the beginning and
firstborn from among the dead, so that in all things He may have preeminence.
Who now
rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up that which is behind of the afflictions of Christ in my flesh for his body’s sake, which is the
church:
Now I
rejoice in my sufferings for you, and I fill up in my flesh what is lacking in regard to Christ’s afflictions for the sake of His body, which is the
church.
Salute the brethren which are in
Laodicea, and Nymphas, and the
church which is in his house.
And when this epistle is read among you, cause that it be read also in the
church of the Laodiceans; and that ye likewise read the epistle from
Laodicea.
After this letter has been read among you, make sure that it is also read in the
church of the Laodiceans, and that you in turn read the letter from
Laodicea.
Paul, and
Silvanus, and
Timotheus, unto the
church of the
Thessalonians which is in God the Father and in the Lord Jesus Christ: Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.
For ye, brethren, became followers of the churches of God which in Judaea are in Christ Jesus: for ye also have suffered like things of your own countrymen, even as they have of the Jews:
For you, brothers, became imitators of the
churches of God in
Judea that are in Christ Jesus. You suffered from your own countrymen the very things they suffered from the Jews,
So that we ourselves glory in you in the
churches of God for your
patience and faith in all your persecutions and tribulations that ye
endure:
(For if a man know not how to rule his own house, how shall he take care of the church of God?)
For if someone does not know how to
manage his own household, how can he care for the
church of God?
But if I
tarry long, that thou mayest know how thou oughtest to
behave thyself in the house of God, which is the
church of the living God, the
pillar and ground of the truth.
in case I am delayed, so that you will know how each one must conduct himself in God’s household, which is the
church of the living God, the
pillar and foundation of the truth.
If any man or woman that believeth have widows, let them
relieve them, and let not the
church be charged; that it may
relieve them that are widows indeed.
If any believing woman has dependent widows, she must assist them and not allow the church to be burdened, so that it can help the widows who are truly in need.
And to our beloved Apphia, and Archippus our fellowsoldier, and to the church in thy house:
to Apphia our sister, to Archippus our fellow soldier, and to the church that meets at your house:
Saying, I will declare thy name unto my brethren, in the midst of the church will I sing praise unto thee.
He says: “I will
proclaim Your name to My brothers; I will sing Your praises in the assembly.”
To the general assembly and
church of the
firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect,
in joyful assembly, to the congregation of the
firstborn,
enrolled in heaven. You have come to God the Judge of all, to the spirits of the righteous made perfect,
Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the
church; and let them pray over him,
anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord:
Is any one of you sick? He should call the elders of the
church to pray over him and
anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord.
The
church that is at Babylon, elected together with you, saluteth you; and so
doth Marcus my son.
The church in Babylon, chosen together with you, sends you greetings, as does my son Mark.
Which have borne witness of thy charity before the church: whom if thou bring forward on their journey after a godly sort, thou shalt do well:
They have
testified to the
church about your love. You will do well to send them on their way in a manner worthy of God.
I wrote unto the church: but Diotrephes, who loveth to have the preeminence among them, receiveth us not.
I have written to the church about this, but Diotrephes, who loves to be first, will not accept our instruction.
Wherefore, if I come, I will remember his deeds which he doeth,
prating against us with
malicious words: and not content
therewith, neither
doth he himself receive the brethren, and forbiddeth them that would, and casteth them out of the
church.
So if I come, I will call attention to his
malicious slander against us. And unsatisfied with that, he refuses to
welcome the brothers and forbids those who want to do so, even putting them out of the
church.
John to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace be unto you, and peace, from him which is, and which was, and which is to come; and from the seven Spirits which are before his throne;
John, To the seven churches in the province of Asia: Grace and peace to you from Him who is and was and is to come, and from the seven Spirits before His throne,
Saying, I am
Alpha and
Omega, the first and the last: and, What thou seest, write in a book, and send it unto the seven
churches which are in Asia; unto Ephesus, and unto
Smyrna, and unto Pergamos, and unto
Thyatira, and unto
Sardis, and unto Philadelphia, and unto
Laodicea.
The
mystery of the seven stars which thou sawest in my right hand, and the seven golden candlesticks. The seven stars are the angels of the seven
churches: and the seven candlesticks which thou sawest are the seven
churches.
This is the
mystery of the seven stars you saw in My right hand and of the seven golden lampstands: The seven stars are the angels of the seven
churches, and the seven lampstands are the seven
churches.
Unto the angel of the church of Ephesus write; These things saith he that holdeth the seven stars in his right hand, who walketh in the midst of the seven golden candlesticks;
“To the angel of the church in Ephesus write: These are the words of Him who holds the seven stars in His right hand and walks among the seven golden lampstands.
He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the
churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the
paradise of God.
He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the
churches. To the one who overcomes, I will grant the right to eat from the tree of life in the
Paradise of God.
And unto the angel of the
church in
Smyrna write; These things saith the first and the last, which was dead, and is alive;
To the angel of the
church in
Smyrna write: These are the words of the First and the Last, who died and returned to life.
