“You are to construct the tabernacle itself with ten
curtains of finely
spun linen, each with blue, purple, and scarlet yarn, and

Five of the curtains are to be joined together, and the other five joined as well.

the

courtyard, and the
curtains for the entrance at the gate of the

That the king said unto
Nathan the prophet, See now, I dwell in an house of
cedar, but the ark of God dwelleth within
curtains.
he said to
Nathan the prophet, “Here I am, living in a house of
cedar, while the ark of God remains in a tent.”
Now it came to pass, as David sat in his house, that David said to
Nathan the prophet, Lo, I dwell in an house of cedars, but the ark of the covenant of the LORD remaineth under
curtains.
After David had settled into his palace, he said to
Nathan the prophet, “Here I am, living in a house of
cedar, while the ark of the covenant of the LORD is under a tent.”
Who coverest
thyself with light as with a garment: who stretchest out the heavens like a
curtain:
He wraps Himself in light as with a garment; He stretches out the heavens like a tent,
I am black, but comely, O ye daughters of Jerusalem, as the tents of
Kedar, as the
curtains of Solomon.
I am dark, yet lovely, O daughters of Jerusalem, like the tents of
Kedar, like the
curtains of Solomon.
It is he that sitteth upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in:
He sits enthroned above the circle of the earth; its dwellers are like grasshoppers. He stretches out the heavens like a curtain, and spreads them out like a tent to dwell in.
Enlarge the place of thy tent, and let them stretch forth the
curtains of thine habitations:
spare not,
lengthen thy cords, and
strengthen thy stakes;
“
Enlarge the site of your tent, stretch out the
curtains of your dwellings, do not hold back.
Lengthen your ropes and drive your stakes in deep.
Destruction upon destruction is
cried; for the whole land is
spoiled: suddenly are my tents
spoiled, and my
curtains in a moment.
Disaster after
disaster is proclaimed, for the whole land is laid waste. My tents are destroyed in an instant, my
curtains in a moment.
My tabernacle is
spoiled, and all my cords are broken: my children are gone forth of me, and they are not: there is none to stretch forth my tent any more, and to set up my
curtains.
My tent is destroyed, and all its ropes are
snapped. My sons have departed from me and are no more. I have no one left to pitch my tent or set up my
curtains.
Their tents and their flocks shall they take away: they shall take to themselves their curtains, and all their vessels, and their camels; and they shall cry unto them, Fear is on every side.
They will take their tents and flocks, their tent
curtains and all their goods. They will take their camels for themselves. They will
shout to them: ‘Terror is on every side!’
I saw the tents of Cushan in distress; the
curtains of
Midian were
trembling.
Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and
stedfast, and which entereth into that within the
veil;
We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. It enters the inner sanctuary behind the curtain,
And after the second
veil, the tabernacle which is called the Holiest of all;
Behind the second curtain was a room called the Most Holy Place,
By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the
veil, that is to say, his flesh;
by the new and living way opened for us through the curtain of His body,
