For they are wholly given unto me from among the children of Israel; instead of such as open every
womb, even instead of the
firstborn of all the children of Israel, have I taken them unto me.
For the Levites have been wholly given to Me from among the sons of Israel. I have taken them for Myself in place of all who come
first from the
womb, the
firstborn of all the sons of Israel.
For all the
firstborn of the children of Israel are mine, both man and beast: on the day that I
smote every
firstborn in the land of Egypt I
sanctified them for myself.
For every
firstborn male in Israel is Mine, both man and beast. I set them apart for Myself on the day I struck down all the
firstborn in the land of Egypt.
And I have taken the Levites for all the
firstborn of the children of Israel.
But I have taken the Levites in place of all the
firstborn among the sons of Israel.
And the LORD spake unto Moses in the wilderness of
Sinai, in the
first month of the second year after they were come out of the land of Egypt, saying,
In the
first month of the second year after Israel had come out of the land of Egypt, the LORD spoke to Moses in the Wilderness of
Sinai:
And they kept the
passover on the
fourteenth day of the
first month at even in the wilderness of
Sinai: according to all that the LORD commanded Moses, so did the children of Israel.
and they did so in the Wilderness of
Sinai, at
twilight on the
fourteenth day of the
first month. The Israelites did everything just as the LORD had commanded Moses.
And they first took their journey according to the commandment of the LORD by the hand of Moses.
They set out this first time according to the LORD’s command through Moses.
In the

And what the land is, whether it be fat or
lean, whether there be wood therein, or not. And be ye of good courage, and bring of the fruit of the land. Now the time was the time of the

courageous, and bring back some of the fruit of the land.” (It was the season for the

Ye shall offer up a
cake of the
first of your
dough for an
heave offering: as ye do the
heave offering of the threshingfloor, so shall ye
heave it.
From the
first of your
dough, you are to lift up a
cake as a contribution; offer it just like an offering from the
threshing floor.
Of the
first of your
dough ye shall give unto the LORD an
heave offering in your generations.
Throughout your generations, you are to give the LORD an offering from the
first of your
dough.

ceremonially clean person in your household may eat them.
Every thing that openeth the
matrix in all flesh, which they bring unto the LORD, whether it be of men or beasts, shall be thine: nevertheless the
firstborn of man shalt thou surely
redeem, and the
firstling of unclean beasts shalt thou
redeem.
The
firstborn of every
womb, whether man or beast, that is offered to the LORD belongs to you. But you must surely
redeem every
firstborn son and every
firstborn male of unclean animals.
But the
firstling of a cow, or the
firstling of a sheep, or the
firstling of a goat, thou shalt not
redeem; they are holy: thou shalt
sprinkle their blood upon the altar, and shalt burn their fat for an offering made by fire, for a sweet savour unto the LORD.
But you must not
redeem the
firstborn of an ox, a sheep, or a goat; they are holy. You are to
sprinkle their blood on the altar and burn their fat as an offering made by fire, a pleasing
aroma to the LORD.

first among the nations, but his end is destruction.”

And thou shalt say unto them, This is the offering made by fire which ye shall offer unto the LORD; two lambs of the first year without spot day by day, for a continual burnt offering.
And tell them that this is the offering made by fire you are to present to the LORD as a regular burnt offering each day: two
unblemished year-old male lambs.
And on the sabbath day two lambs of the first year without spot, and two tenth deals of flour for a meat offering, mingled with oil, and the drink offering thereof:
On the Sabbath day, present two
unblemished year-old male lambs, accompanied by a grain offering of two-tenths of an

blemish:

convocation; ye shall do no
servile work:
On the day of firstfruits, when you present an offering of new grain to the LORD during the Feast of Weeks, you are to hold a sacred assembly; you must not do any regular work.
But ye shall offer the burnt offering for a sweet savour unto the LORD; two young bullocks, one ram, seven lambs of the first year;

aroma to the LORD,
And in the seventh month, on the
first day of the month, ye shall have an holy
convocation; ye shall do no
servile work: it is a day of blowing the
trumpets unto you.
“On the
first day of the seventh month, you are to hold a sacred assembly, and you must not do any regular work. This will be a day for you to sound the
trumpets.
And ye shall offer a burnt offering for a sweet savour unto the LORD; one young

unblemished,
And ye shall offer a burnt offering, a sacrifice made by fire, of a sweet savour unto the LORD; thirteen young bullocks, two rams, and fourteen lambs of the
first year; they shall be without
blemish:
As a pleasing
aroma to the LORD, you are to present an offering made by fire, a burnt offering of thirteen young bulls, two rams, and fourteen male lambs a year old, all
unblemished,
And on the second day ye shall offer twelve young bullocks, two rams, fourteen lambs of the first year without spot:

As a pleasing
aroma to the LORD, you are to present an offering made by fire, a burnt offering of one bull, one ram, and seven male lambs a year old, all
unblemished,
And they departed from
Rameses in the
first month, on the
fifteenth day of the
first month; on the
morrow after the
passover the children of Israel went out with an high hand in the sight of all the Egyptians.
On the
fifteenth day of the
first month, on the day after the
Passover, the Israelites set out from
Rameses. They marched out defiantly in full view of all the Egyptians,
For the Egyptians buried all their
firstborn, which the LORD had
smitten among them: upon their gods also the LORD executed judgments.
who were
burying all their
firstborn, whom the LORD had struck down among them; for the LORD had executed judgment against their gods.
And Aaron the priest went up into mount
Hor at the commandment of the LORD, and died there, in the
fortieth year after the children of Israel were come out of the land of Egypt, in the
first day of the fifth month.
At the LORD’s command, Aaron the priest
climbed Mount
Hor and died there on the
first day of the fifth month, in the
fortieth year after the Israelites had come out of the land of Egypt.
And it came to pass in the
fortieth year, in the
eleventh month, on the
first day of the month, that Moses spake unto the children of Israel, according unto all that the LORD had given him in commandment unto them;
In the
fortieth year, on the
first day of the
eleventh month, Moses proclaimed to the Israelites all that the LORD had commanded him concerning them.
And I fell down before the LORD, as at the
first, forty days and forty nights: I did neither eat bread, nor drink water, because of all your sins which ye
sinned, in doing wickedly in the sight of the LORD, to
provoke him to anger.
Then I fell down before the LORD for forty days and forty nights, as I had done the
first time. I did not eat bread or drink water because of all the sin you had committed in doing what was evil in the sight of the LORD and
provoking Him to anger.
Thus I fell down before the LORD forty days and forty nights, as I fell down at the first; because the LORD had said he would destroy you.
So I fell down before the LORD for forty days and forty nights, because the LORD had said He would destroy you.
At that time the LORD said unto me,
Hew thee two tables of stone like unto the
first, and come up unto me into the mount, and make thee an ark of wood.
At that time the LORD said to me, “
Chisel out two stone tablets like the originals, come up to Me on the mountain, and make an ark of wood.
And I will write on the tables the words that were in the first tables which thou brakest, and thou shalt put them in the ark.
And I will write on the tablets the words that were on the first tablets, which you broke; and you are to place them in the ark.”
And I made an ark of
shittim wood, and
hewed two tables of stone like unto the
first, and went up into the mount, having the two tables in mine hand.
So I made an ark of
acacia wood,
chiseled out two stone tablets like the originals, and went up the mountain with the two tablets in my hands.
And he wrote on the tables, according to the first writing, the ten commandments, which the LORD spake unto you in the mount out of the midst of the fire in the day of the assembly: and the LORD gave them unto me.
And the LORD wrote on the tablets what had been written previously, the Ten Commandments that He had spoken to you on the mountain out of the fire on the day of the assembly. The LORD gave them to me,
And I stayed in the mount, according to the
first time, forty days and forty nights; and the LORD
hearkened unto me at that time also, and the LORD would not destroy thee.
I stayed on the mountain forty days and forty nights, like the
first time, and that time the LORD again
listened to me and agreed not to destroy you.
That I will give you the rain of your land in his due season, the first rain and the latter rain, that thou mayest gather in thy corn, and thy wine, and thine oil.
then I will provide rain for your land in season, the autumn and spring rains, that you may gather your grain, new wine, and oil.
And thither ye shall bring your burnt offerings, and your sacrifices, and your
tithes, and
heave offerings of your hand, and your vows, and your
freewill offerings, and the
firstlings of your herds and of your flocks:
To that place you are to bring your burnt offerings and sacrifices, your
tithes and
heave offerings, your
vow offerings and
freewill offerings, as well as the
firstborn of your herds and flocks.
Thou mayest not eat within thy gates the
tithe of thy corn, or of thy wine, or of thy oil, or the
firstlings of thy herds or of thy flock, nor any of thy vows which thou vowest, nor thy
freewill offerings, or
heave offering of thine hand:
Within your gates you must not eat the
tithe of your grain or new wine or oil, the
firstborn of your herds or flocks, any of the offerings that you have
vowed to give, or your
freewill offerings or special gifts.
But thou shalt surely kill him; thine hand shall be first upon him to put him to death, and afterwards the hand of all the people.
Instead, you must surely kill him. Your hand must be the first against him to put him to death, and then the hands of all the people.
And thou shalt eat before the LORD thy God, in the place which he shall choose to place his name there, the
tithe of thy corn, of thy wine, and of thine oil, and the
firstlings of thy herds and of thy flocks; that thou mayest learn to fear the LORD thy God always.
And you are to eat a tenth of your grain, new wine, and oil, and the
firstborn of your herds and flocks, in the presence of the LORD your God at the place He will choose as a dwelling for His Name, so that you may learn to fear the LORD your God always.
You must set apart to the LORD your God every
firstborn male produced by your herds and flocks. You are not to put the
firstborn of your oxen to work, nor are you to
shear the
firstborn of your flock.
And there shall be no
leavened bread seen with thee in all thy coast seven days; neither shall there any thing of the flesh, which thou sacrificedst the
first day at even, remain all night until the morning.
No
leaven is to be found in all your land for seven days, and none of the meat you sacrifice in the evening of the
first day shall remain until morning.
Seven weeks shalt thou number unto thee: begin to number the seven weeks from such time as thou beginnest to put the
sickle to the corn.
You are to count off seven weeks from the time you
first put the
sickle to the standing grain.
The hands of the witnesses shall be first upon him to put him to death, and afterward the hands of all the people. So thou shalt put the evil away from among you.
The hands of the witnesses shall be the
first in putting him to death, and after that, the hands of all the people. So you must
purge the evil from among you.
The
firstfruit also of thy corn, of thy wine, and of thine oil, and the
first of the
fleece of thy sheep, shalt thou give him.
You are to give them the
firstfruits of your grain, new wine, and oil, and the
first wool
sheared from your flock.
