cleansed from the issue of her blood. This is the law for her that hath born a male or a female.

And this shall be his uncleanness in his issue: whether his flesh run with his issue, or his flesh be stopped from his issue, it is his uncleanness.

flow, and she has uncovered the source of her blood. Both of them must be cut off from among their people.

But I have told you that you will
inherit their land, since I will give it to you as an inheritance—a land
flowing with milk and honey. I am the LORD your God, who has set you apart from the peoples.

candlestick was of beaten gold, unto the shaft thereof, unto the

Shall the flocks and the herds be slain for them, to suffice them? or shall all the fish of the sea be gathered together for them, to suffice them?
If all our flocks and herds were slaughtered for them, would they have enough? Or if all the fish in the sea were caught for them, would they have enough?”
And they told him, and said, We came unto the land
whither thou sentest us, and surely it
floweth with milk and honey; and this is the fruit of it.
And they gave this account to Moses: “We went into the land to which you sent us, and indeed, it is flowing with milk and honey. Here is some of its fruit!
If the LORD delight in us, then he will bring us into this land, and give it us; a land which floweth with milk and honey.
If the LORD delights in us, He will bring us into this land, a land flowing with milk and honey, and He will give it to us.
And will make an offering by fire unto the LORD, a burnt offering, or a sacrifice in performing a
vow, or in a
freewill offering, or in your solemn feasts, to make a sweet savour unto the LORD, of the
herd, or of the
flock:
and you present an offering made by fire to the LORD from the
herd or
flock to produce a pleasing
aroma to the LORD—either a burnt offering or a sacrifice, for a special
vow or
freewill offering or appointed feast—
Then shall he that offereth his offering unto the LORD bring a meat offering of a tenth deal of
flour mingled with the fourth part of an
hin of oil.
then the one presenting his offering to the LORD shall also present a grain offering of a tenth of an
ephah of fine

hin of olive oil.
Or for a ram, thou shalt prepare for a meat offering two tenth deals of
flour mingled with the third part of an

cake of the first of your
dough for an

Is it a small thing that thou hast brought us up out of a land that
floweth with milk and honey, to kill us in the wilderness, except thou make
thyself altogether a prince over us?
Is it not enough that you have brought us up out of a land
flowing with milk and honey to kill us in the wilderness? Must you also
appoint yourself as ruler over us?
Moreover thou hast not brought us into a land that
floweth with milk and honey, or given us inheritance of fields and vineyards:
wilt thou put out the eyes of these men? we will not come up.
Moreover, you have not brought us into a land
flowing with milk and honey or given us an inheritance of fields and vineyards. Will you
gouge out the eyes of these men? No, we will not come!”
And this your
heave offering shall be reckoned unto you, as though it were the corn of the threshingfloor, and as the
fulness of the winepress.
Your offering will be reckoned to you as grain from the
threshing floor or juice from the winepress.
Therefore thou shalt say unto them, When ye have
heaved the best thereof from it, then it shall be counted unto the Levites as the increase of the threshingfloor, and as the increase of the winepress.
Therefore say to the Levites, ‘When you have presented the best part, it will be reckoned to you as the produce of the
threshing floor or winepress.

And the children of Israel took all the women of
Midian captives, and their little ones, and took the
spoil of all their cattle, and all their
flocks, and all their goods.
The Israelites captured the Midianite women and their children, and they
plundered all their herds,
flocks, and goods.
And of the children of Israel’s half, thou shalt take one portion of fifty, of the persons, of the
beeves, of the
asses, and of the
flocks, of all manner of beasts, and give them unto the Levites, which keep the charge of the tabernacle of the LORD.
From the Israelites’ half, take one out of every fifty, whether persons, cattle,
donkeys, sheep, or other animals, and give them to the Levites who keep charge of the tabernacle of the LORD.”
Now the children of
Reuben and the children of
Gad had a very great multitude of cattle: and when they saw the land of Jazer, and the land of
Gilead, that, behold, the place was a place for cattle;
Now the Reubenites and Gadites, who had very large herds and
flocks, surveyed the lands of Jazer and
Gilead, and they saw that the region was suitable for
livestock.
Build you cities for your little ones, and folds for your sheep; and do that which hath proceeded out of your mouth.
Build cities for your little ones and folds for your flocks, but do what you have promised.”
Our little ones, our wives, our
flocks, and all our cattle, shall be there in the cities of
Gilead:
Our children, our wives, our
livestock, and all our animals will remain here in the cities of
Gilead.
And Beth-nimrah, and Beth-
haran,
fenced cities: and folds for sheep.
Beth-nimrah, and Beth-
haran as fortified cities, and they built folds for their
flocks.
And the cities shall they have to dwell in; and the suburbs of them shall be for their cattle, and for their goods, and for all their beasts.
The cities will be for them to live in, and the pasturelands will be for their herds, their
flocks, and all their other
livestock.
Hear therefore, O Israel, and observe to do it; that it may be well with thee, and that ye may increase
mightily, as the LORD God of thy fathers hath promised thee, in the land that
floweth with milk and honey.
Hear, O Israel, and be careful to observe them, so that you may
prosper and multiply greatly in a land
flowing with milk and honey, just as the LORD, the God of your fathers, has promised you.
And he will love thee, and
bless thee, and multiply thee: he will also
bless the fruit of thy
womb, and the fruit of thy land, thy corn, and thy wine, and thine oil, the increase of thy
kine, and the
flocks of thy sheep, in the land which he
sware unto thy fathers to give thee.
He will love you and
bless you and multiply you. He will
bless the fruit of your
womb and the produce of your land—your grain, new wine, and oil, the young of your herds and the lambs of your
flocks—in the land that He
swore to your fathers to give you.
For the LORD thy God bringeth thee into a good land, a land of
brooks of water, of fountains and depths that spring out of valleys and hills;
For the LORD your God is bringing you into a good land, a land of
brooks and fountains and springs that
flow through the valleys and hills;
And when thy herds and thy flocks multiply, and thy silver and thy gold is multiplied, and all that thou hast is multiplied;
and when your herds and flocks grow large and your silver and gold increase and all that you have is multiplied,
And that ye may
prolong your days in the land, which the LORD
sware unto your fathers to give unto them and to their seed, a land that
floweth with milk and honey.
and so that you may live long in the land that the LORD
swore to your fathers to give them and their descendants, a land
flowing with milk and honey.
And thither ye shall bring your burnt offerings, and your sacrifices, and your
tithes, and
heave offerings of your hand, and your vows, and your
freewill offerings, and the firstlings of your herds and of your
flocks:
To that place you are to bring your burnt offerings and sacrifices, your
tithes and
heave offerings, your
vow offerings and
freewill offerings, as well as the
firstborn of your herds and
flocks.
Thou mayest not eat within thy gates the
tithe of thy corn, or of thy wine, or of thy oil, or the firstlings of thy herds or of thy
flock, nor any of thy vows which thou vowest, nor thy
freewill offerings, or
heave offering of thine hand:
Within your gates you must not eat the
tithe of your grain or new wine or oil, the
firstborn of your herds or
flocks, any of the offerings that you have
vowed to give, or your
freewill offerings or special gifts.
If the place which the LORD thy God hath chosen to put his name there be too far from thee, then thou shalt kill of thy
herd and of thy
flock, which the LORD hath given thee, as I have commanded thee, and thou shalt eat in thy gates
whatsoever thy soul lusteth after.
If the place where the LORD your God chooses to put His Name is too far from you, then you may slaughter any of the
herd or
flock He has given you, as I have commanded you, and you may eat it within your gates whenever you want.
And thou shalt eat before the LORD thy God, in the place which he shall choose to place his name there, the
tithe of thy corn, of thy wine, and of thine oil, and the firstlings of thy herds and of thy
flocks; that thou mayest learn to fear the LORD thy God always.
And you are to eat a tenth of your grain, new wine, and oil, and the
firstborn of your herds and
flocks, in the presence of the LORD your God at the place He will choose as a dwelling for His Name, so that you may learn to fear the LORD your God always.
Thou shalt furnish him liberally out of thy
flock, and out of thy
floor, and out of thy winepress: of that
wherewith the LORD thy God hath blessed thee thou shalt give unto him.
You are to furnish him liberally from your
flock, your
threshing floor, and your winepress. You shall give to him as the LORD your God has blessed you.
You must set apart to the LORD your God every
firstborn male produced by your herds and
flocks. You are not to put the
firstborn of your oxen to work, nor are you to
shear the
firstborn of your
flock.
Thou shalt therefore sacrifice the
passover unto the LORD thy God, of the
flock and the
herd, in the place which the LORD shall choose to place his name there.
You are to offer to the LORD your God the
Passover sacrifice from the
herd or
flock in the place the LORD will choose as a dwelling for His Name.
Thou shalt observe the feast of tabernacles seven days, after that thou hast gathered in thy corn and thy wine:
You are to
celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles for seven days after you have gathered the produce of your
threshing floor and your winepress.
The firstfruit also of thy corn, of thy wine, and of thine oil, and the first of the
fleece of thy sheep, shalt thou give him.
You are to give them the firstfruits of your grain, new wine, and oil, and the first wool
sheared from your
flock.
And it shall be, if the wicked man be worthy to be beaten, that the judge shall cause him to lie down, and to be beaten before his face, according to his fault, by a certain number.
If the guilty man deserves to be beaten, the judge shall have him lie down and be
flogged in his presence with the number of lashes his crime warrants.
And he hath brought us into this place, and hath given us this land, even a land that floweth with milk and honey.
And He brought us to this place and gave us this land, a land flowing with milk and honey.
Look down from thy holy
habitation, from heaven, and
bless thy people Israel, and the land which thou hast given us, as thou swarest unto our fathers, a land that
floweth with milk and honey.
Look down from Your holy
habitation, from heaven, and
bless Your people Israel and the land You have given us as You
swore to our fathers—a land
flowing with milk and honey.”
And thou shalt write upon them all the words of this law, when thou art passed over, that thou mayest go in unto the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee, a land that floweth with milk and honey; as the LORD God of thy fathers hath promised thee.
Write on them all the words of this law when you have crossed over to enter the land that the LORD your God is giving you, a land flowing with milk and honey, just as the LORD, the God of your fathers, has promised you.
Blessed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy ground, and the fruit of thy cattle, the increase of thy
kine, and the
flocks of thy sheep.
The fruit of your
womb will be blessed, as well as the produce of your land and the offspring of your
livestock— the
calves of your herds and the lambs of your
flocks.
Cursed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy land, the increase of thy
kine, and the
flocks of thy sheep.
The fruit of your
womb will be
cursed, as well as the produce of your land, the
calves of your herds, and the lambs of your
flocks.
Thine ox shall be slain before thine eyes, and thou shalt not eat thereof: thine
ass shall be violently taken away from before thy face, and shall not be restored to thee: thy sheep shall be given unto thine enemies, and thou shalt have none to
rescue them.
Your ox will be slaughtered before your eyes, but you will not eat any of it. Your
donkey will be taken away and not returned to you. Your
flock will be given to your enemies, and no one will save you.
And he shall eat the fruit of thy cattle, and the fruit of thy land, until thou be destroyed: which also shall not leave thee either corn, wine, or oil, or the increase of thy
kine, or
flocks of thy sheep, until he have destroyed thee.
They will eat the offspring of your
livestock and the produce of your land until you are destroyed. They will leave you no grain or new wine or oil, no
calves of your herds or lambs of your
flocks, until they have caused you to perish.
For when I shall have brought them into the land which I
sware unto their fathers, that
floweth with milk and honey; and they shall have eaten and filled themselves, and
waxen fat; then will they turn unto other gods, and serve them, and
provoke me, and break my covenant.
When I have brought them into the land that I
swore to give their fathers, a land
flowing with milk and honey, they will eat their fill and
prosper. Then they will turn to other gods and worship them, and they will
reject Me and break My covenant.
Butter of
kine, and milk of sheep, with fat of lambs, and rams of the breed of
Bashan, and goats, with the fat of
kidneys of wheat; and thou
didst drink the pure blood of the
grape.
with curds from the
herd and milk from the
flock, with the fat of lambs, with rams from
Bashan, and goats, with the choicest grains of wheat. From the juice of the finest grapes you
drank the wine.
And it shall come to pass, as soon as the soles of the feet of the priests that bear the ark of the LORD, the Lord of all the earth, shall rest in the waters of Jordan, that the waters of Jordan shall be cut off from the waters that come down from above; and they shall stand upon an
heap.
When the feet of the priests who carry the ark of the LORD—the Lord of all the earth—touch down in the waters of the Jordan, its
flowing waters will be cut off and will stand up in a
heap.”
That the waters which came down from above stood and rose up upon an
heap very far from the city Adam, that is beside Zaretan: and those that came down toward the sea of the plain, even the salt sea, failed, and were cut off: and the people passed over right against
Jericho.
the
flowing water stood still. It backed up as far
upstream as Adam, a city in the area of Zarethan, while the water
flowing toward the Sea of the Arabah (the Salt Sea) was completely cut off. So the people crossed over opposite
Jericho.
And it came to pass, when the priests that bare the ark of the covenant of the LORD were come up out of the midst of Jordan, and the soles of the priests’ feet were lifted up unto the dry land, that the waters of Jordan returned unto their place, and flowed over all his banks, as they did before.
When the priests carrying the ark of the covenant of the LORD came up out of the Jordan and their feet touched the dry land, the waters of the Jordan returned to their course and overflowed all the banks as before.
For the children of Israel walked forty years in the wilderness, till all the people that were men of war, which came out of Egypt, were consumed, because they obeyed not the voice of the LORD: unto whom the LORD
sware that he would not
shew them the land, which the LORD
sware unto their fathers that he would give us, a land that
floweth with milk and honey.
For the Israelites had
wandered in the wilderness forty years, until all the nation’s men of war who had come out of Egypt had died, since they did not obey the LORD. So the LORD
vowed never to let them see the land He had
sworn to their fathers to give us, a land
flowing with milk and honey.
For the children of Joseph were two tribes,
Manasseh and Ephraim: therefore they gave no part unto the Levites in the land, save cities to dwell in, with their suburbs for their cattle and for their substance.
The descendants of Joseph became two tribes,
Manasseh and Ephraim. And no portion of the land was given to the Levites, except for cities in which to live, along with pasturelands for their
flocks and herds.
And Joshua said unto all the people, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, Your fathers dwelt on the other side of the flood in old time, even Terah, the father of Abraham, and the father of Nachor: and they served other gods.
And Joshua said to all the people, “This is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says: ‘Long ago your fathers, including Terah the father of Abraham and
Nahor, lived beyond the Euphrates and worshiped other gods.
And I took your father Abraham from the other side of the
flood, and led him throughout all the land of
Canaan, and multiplied his seed, and gave him Isaac.
But I took your father Abraham from beyond the Euphrates and led him through all the land of
Canaan, and I multiplied his descendants. I gave him Isaac,
Now therefore fear the LORD, and serve him in
sincerity and in truth: and put away the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the
flood, and in Egypt; and serve ye the LORD.
Now, therefore, fear the LORD and serve Him in
sincerity and truth; cast aside the gods your fathers served beyond the Euphrates and in Egypt, and serve the LORD.
And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the
flood, or the gods of the
Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.
But if it is unpleasing in your sight to serve the LORD, then choose for
yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your fathers served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the
Amorites in whose land you are living. As for me and my house, we will serve the LORD!”
And they
tarried till they were
ashamed: and, behold, he opened not the doors of the parlour; therefore they took a key, and opened them: and, behold, their lord was fallen down dead on the earth.
So they waited until they became
worried and saw that he had still not opened the doors of the upper room. Then they took the key and opened the doors—and there was their lord lying dead on the
floor.
Why abodest thou among the sheepfolds, to hear the bleatings of the
flocks? For the divisions of
Reuben there were great searchings of heart.
Why did you sit among the sheepfolds to hear the
whistling for the
flocks? In the clans of
Reuben there was great indecision.
And
Gideon went in, and made ready a
kid, and
unleavened cakes of an
ephah of
flour: the flesh he put in a
basket, and he put the
broth in a pot, and brought it out unto him under the oak, and presented it.
So
Gideon went in and prepared a young goat and
unleavened bread and an
ephah of
flour. He placed the meat in a
basket and the
broth in a pot and brought them out to present to Him under the oak.
Behold, I will put a
fleece of wool in the
floor; and if the
dew be on the
fleece only, and it be dry upon all the earth beside, then shall I know that thou
wilt save Israel by mine hand, as thou hast said.
then behold, I will place a
fleece of wool on the
threshing floor. If there is
dew only on the
fleece and all the ground is dry, then I will know that You are going to save Israel by my hand, as You have said.”
And now is not Boaz of our kindred, with whose maidens thou
wast? Behold, he winnoweth barley to night in the threshingfloor.
Now is not Boaz, with whose servant girls you have been working, a relative of ours? In fact,
tonight he is
winnowing barley on the
threshing floor.
Wash
thyself therefore, and
anoint thee, and put thy
raiment upon thee, and get thee down to the
floor: but make not
thyself known unto the man, until he shall have done eating and drinking.
Therefore wash
yourself, put on
perfume, and wear your best clothes. Go down to the
threshing floor, but do not let the man know you are there until he has finished eating and drinking.
