enticing words of man’s wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power:

Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to
nought:
Among the
mature, however, we speak a
message of wisdom—but not the wisdom of this age or of the rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing.
For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit;
To one there is given through the Spirit the message of wisdom, to another the message of knowledge by the same Spirit,
But as God is true, our word toward you was not
yea and
nay.
But as surely as God is faithful, our
message to you is not “
Yes” and “No.”

reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of
reconciliation.

message of
reconciliation.

For from you sounded out the word of the Lord not only in
Macedonia and
Achaia, but also in every place your faith to God-ward is spread abroad; so that we need not to speak any thing.

Macedonia and

shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.
