And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt
hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the LORD thy God will set thee on high above all
nations of the earth:
“Now if you faithfully obey the voice of the LORD your God and are careful to follow all His commandments I am giving you
today, the LORD your God will set you high above all the
nations of the earth.
The LORD shall open unto thee his good
treasure, the heaven to give the rain unto thy land in his season, and to
bless all the work of thine hand: and thou shalt
lend unto many
nations, and thou shalt not
borrow.
The LORD will open the heavens, His abundant
storehouse, to send rain on your land in season and to
bless all the work of your hands. You will
lend to many
nations, but
borrow from none.
Thy sons and thy daughters shall be given unto another people, and thine eyes shall look, and fail with longing for them all the day long: and there shall be no might in thine hand.
Your sons and daughters will be given to another
nation, while your eyes grow
weary looking for them day after day, with no power in your hand.
The fruit of thy land, and all thy labours, shall a
nation which thou knowest not eat up; and thou shalt be only
oppressed and
crushed alway:
A people you do not know will eat the produce of your land and of all your
toil. All your days you will be
oppressed and
crushed.
The LORD shall bring thee, and thy king which thou shalt set over thee, unto a nation which neither thou nor thy fathers have known; and there shalt thou serve other gods, wood and stone.
The LORD will bring you and the king you
appoint to a
nation neither you nor your fathers have known, and there you will worship other gods—gods of wood and stone.
You will become an object of
horror,
scorn, and
ridicule among all the
nations to which the LORD will drive you.
The LORD shall bring a nation against thee from far, from the end of the earth, as swift as the eagle flieth; a nation whose tongue thou shalt not understand;
The LORD will bring a
nation from
afar, from the ends of the earth, to
swoop down upon you like an eagle—a
nation whose language you will not understand,
A
nation of fierce countenance, which shall not regard the person of the old, nor
shew favour to the young:
a
ruthless nation with no respect for the old and no
pity for the young.
And the LORD shall
scatter thee among all people, from the one end of the earth even unto the other; and there thou shalt serve other gods, which neither thou nor thy fathers have known, even wood and stone.
Then the LORD will
scatter you among all the
nations, from one end of the earth to the other, and there you will worship other gods, gods of wood and stone, which neither you nor your fathers have known.
And among these
nations shalt thou find no ease, neither shall the sole of thy foot have rest: but the LORD shall give thee there a
trembling heart, and failing of eyes, and sorrow of mind:
Among those
nations you will find no
repose, not even a resting place for the sole of your foot. There the LORD will give you a
trembling heart, failing eyes, and a
despairing soul.
(For ye know how we have dwelt in the land of Egypt; and how we came through the nations which ye passed by;
For you
yourselves know how we lived in the land of Egypt and how we passed through the
nations on the way here.
Lest there should be among you man, or woman, or family, or tribe, whose heart turneth away this day from the LORD our God, to go and serve the gods of these
nations; lest there should be among you a root that beareth gall and
wormwood;
Make sure there is no man or woman, clan or tribe among you
today whose heart turns away from the LORD our God to go and worship the gods of those
nations. Make sure there is no root among you that bears such poisonous and bitter fruit,
Even all nations shall say, Wherefore hath the LORD done thus unto this land? what meaneth the heat of this great anger?
So all the
nations will ask, ‘Why has the LORD done such a thing to this land? Why this great
outburst of anger?’
And it shall come to pass, when all these things are come upon thee, the blessing and the
curse, which I have set before thee, and thou shalt call them to mind among all the
nations,
whither the LORD thy God hath driven thee,
“When all these things come upon you—the blessings and curses I have set before you—and you call them to mind in all the nations to which the LORD your God has banished you,
That then the LORD thy God will turn thy captivity, and have
compassion upon thee, and will return and gather thee from all the
nations,
whither the LORD thy God hath scattered thee.
then He will restore you from captivity and have
compassion on you and gather you from all the
nations to which the LORD your God has scattered you.
The LORD thy God, he will go over before thee, and he will destroy these nations from before thee, and thou shalt possess them: and Joshua, he shall go over before thee, as the LORD hath said.
The LORD your God Himself will cross over
ahead of you. He will destroy these
nations before you, and you will dispossess them. Joshua will cross
ahead of you, as the LORD has said.
When the most High divided to the nations their inheritance, when he separated the sons of Adam, he set the bounds of the people according to the number of the children of Israel.
When the Most High gave the nations their inheritance, when He divided the sons of man, He set the boundaries of the peoples according to the number of the sons of God.
They have moved me to jealousy with that which is not God; they have
provoked me to anger with their
vanities: and I will move them to jealousy with those which are not a people; I will
provoke them to anger with a
foolish nation.
They have
provoked My jealousy by that which is not God; they have
enraged Me with their worthless idols. So I will make them
jealous by those who are not a people; I will make them
angry by a
nation without understanding.
For they are a nation void of counsel, neither is there any understanding in them.
Israel is a nation devoid of counsel, with no understanding among them.
Rejoice, O heavens, with Him, and let all God’s angels worship Him.
Rejoice, O
nations, with His people; for He will
avenge the blood of His children. He will take
vengeance on His
adversaries and repay those who
hate Him; He will
cleanse His land and His people.
His glory is like the
firstling of his
bullock, and his horns are like the horns of unicorns: with them he shall
push the people together to the ends of the earth: and they are the ten thousands of Ephraim, and they are the thousands of
Manasseh.
His majesty is like a
firstborn bull, and his horns are like those of a wild ox. With them he will
gore the
nations, even to the ends of the earth. Such are the myriads of Ephraim, and such are the thousands of
Manasseh.”
And Moses was an hundred and twenty years old when he died: his eye was not
dim, nor his
natural force
abated.
Moses was a hundred and twenty years old when he died, yet his eyes were not weak, and his
vitality had not diminished.
And the priests that bare the ark of the covenant of the LORD stood firm on dry ground in the midst of Jordan, and all the Israelites passed over on dry ground, until all the people were passed clean over Jordan.
The priests carrying the ark of the covenant of the LORD stood firm on dry ground in the middle of the Jordan, while all Israel crossed over the dry ground, until the entire nation had crossed the Jordan.
And it came to pass, when all the people were clean passed over Jordan, that the LORD spake unto Joshua, saying,
When the whole nation had finished crossing the Jordan, the LORD said to Joshua,
For the children of Israel walked forty years in the wilderness, till all the people that were men of war, which came out of Egypt, were consumed, because they obeyed not the voice of the LORD: unto whom the LORD
sware that he would not
shew them the land, which the LORD
sware unto their fathers that he would give us, a land that floweth with milk and honey.
For the Israelites had
wandered in the wilderness forty years, until all the
nation’s men of war who had come out of Egypt had died, since they did not obey the LORD. So the LORD
vowed never to let them see the land He had
sworn to their fathers to give us, a land flowing with milk and honey.
And it came to pass, when they had done
circumcising all the people, that they abode in their places in the camp, till they were whole.
And after all the
nation had been
circumcised, they stayed there in the camp until they were
healed.
And the sun stood still, and the moon stayed, until the people had
avenged themselves upon their enemies. Is not this written in the book of Jasher? So the sun stood still in the midst of heaven, and hasted not to go down about a whole day.
So the sun stood still and the moon stopped until the
nation took
vengeance upon its enemies. Is this not written in the Book of
Jashar? “So the sun stopped in the middle of the sky and delayed going down about a full day.”
The king of
Dor in the coast of
Dor, one; the king of the
nations of
Gilgal, one;
the king of
Dor in Naphath-
dor, one; the king of Goiim in
Gilgal, one;
And ye have seen all that the LORD your God hath done unto all these nations because of you; for the LORD your God is he that hath fought for you.
“and you have seen everything that the LORD your God has done to all these nations for your sake, because it was the LORD your God who fought for you.
Behold, I have divided unto you by lot these nations that remain, to be an inheritance for your tribes, from Jordan, with all the nations that I have cut off, even unto the great sea westward.
See, I have
allotted as an inheritance to your tribes these remaining
nations, including all the
nations I have already cut off, from the Jordan westward to the Great Sea.
That ye come not among these
nations, these that remain among you; neither make mention of the names of their gods, nor cause to
swear by them, neither serve them, nor bow
yourselves unto them:
So you are not to associate with these
nations that remain among you. You must not call on the names of their gods or
swear by them, and you must not serve them or bow down to them.
For the LORD hath driven out from before you great nations and strong: but as for you, no man hath been able to stand before you unto this day.
The LORD has driven out great and powerful nations before you, and to this day no one can stand against you.
Else if ye do in any wise go back, and
cleave unto the
remnant of these
nations, even these that remain among you, and shall make marriages with them, and go in unto them, and they to you:
For if you turn away and
cling to the rest of these
nations that remain among you, and if you
intermarry and associate with them,
Know for a certainty that the LORD your God will no more drive out any of these
nations from before you; but they shall be snares and
traps unto you, and scourges in your sides, and thorns in your eyes, until ye perish from off this good land which the LORD your God hath given you.
know for sure that the LORD your God will no longer drive out these
nations before you. Instead, they will become for you a
snare and a
trap, a
scourge in your sides and thorns in your eyes, until you perish from this good land that the LORD your God has given you.
For the LORD our God, he it is that brought us up and our fathers out of the land of Egypt, from the house of
bondage, and which did those great signs in our sight, and preserved us in all the way wherein we went, and among all the people through whom we passed:
For the LORD our God brought us and our fathers out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery, and performed these great signs before our eyes. He also protected us throughout our journey and among all the nations through which we traveled.
And the LORD
drave out from before us all the people, even the
Amorites which dwelt in the land: therefore will we also serve the LORD; for he is our God.
And the LORD drove out before us all the
nations, including the
Amorites who lived in the land. We too will serve the LORD, because He is our God!”
And the anger of the LORD was hot against Israel; and he said, Because that this people hath
transgressed my covenant which I commanded their fathers, and have not
hearkened unto my voice;
So the anger of the LORD burned against Israel, and He said, “Because this
nation has
transgressed the covenant I laid down for their fathers and has not
heeded My voice,
I also will not henceforth drive out any from before them of the nations which Joshua left when he died:
I will no longer drive out before them any of the nations Joshua left when he died.
Therefore the LORD left those
nations, without driving them out
hastily; neither delivered he them into the hand of Joshua.
That is why the LORD had left those nations in place and had not driven them out immediately by delivering them into the hand of Joshua.
Now these are the
nations which the LORD left, to prove Israel by them, even as many of Israel as had not known all the wars of
Canaan;
These are the
nations that the LORD left to test all the Israelites who had not known any of the wars in
Canaan,
And they were to prove Israel by them, to know whether they would
hearken unto the commandments of the LORD, which he commanded their fathers by the hand of Moses.
These nations were left to test the Israelites, to find out whether they would keep the commandments of the LORD, which He had given their fathers through Moses.
And Boaz answered and said unto her, It hath fully been shewed me, all that thou hast done unto thy mother in law since the death of thine husband: and how thou hast left thy father and thy mother, and the land of thy
nativity, and art come unto a people which thou knewest not
heretofore.
Boaz replied, “I have been made fully aware of all you have done for your mother-in-law since the death of your husband, how you left your father and mother and the land of your birth, and how you came to a people you did not know before.
And said unto him, Behold, thou art old, and thy sons walk not in thy ways: now make us a king to judge us like all the nations.
“Look,” they said, “you are old, and your sons do not walk in your ways. Now
appoint a king to judge us like all the other
nations.”
That we also may be like all the nations; and that our king may judge us, and go out before us, and fight our battles.
Then we will be like all the other nations, with a king to judge us, to go out before us, and to fight our battles.”
And David and his men went up, and invaded the Geshurites, and the Gezrites, and the
Amalekites: for those
nations were of old the inhabitants of the land, as thou goest to Shur, even unto the land of Egypt.
Now David and his men went up and
raided the Geshurites, the Girzites, and the
Amalekites. (From ancient times these people had inhabited the land extending to Shur and Egypt.)
And these be the names of those that were born unto him in Jerusalem; Shammuah, and Shobab, and
Nathan, and Solomon,
These are the names of the children born to him in Jerusalem: Shammua, Shobab,
Nathan, Solomon,
That the king said unto
Nathan the prophet, See now, I dwell in an house of
cedar, but the ark of God dwelleth within curtains.
he said to
Nathan the prophet, “Here I am, living in a house of
cedar, while the ark of God remains in a tent.”
And
Nathan said to the king, Go, do all that is in thine heart; for the LORD is with thee.
And
Nathan replied to the king, “Go and do all that is in your heart, for the LORD is with you.”
And it came to pass that night, that the word of the LORD came unto
Nathan, saying,
But that night the word of the LORD came to
Nathan, saying,
According to all these words, and according to all this vision, so did
Nathan speak unto David.
So
Nathan relayed to David all the words of this entire vision.
And what one
nation in the earth is like thy people, even like Israel, whom God went to
redeem for a people to himself, and to make him a name, and to do for you great things and terrible, for thy land, before thy people, which thou redeemedst to thee from Egypt, from the
nations and their gods?
And who is like Your people Israel—the one
nation on earth whom God went out to
redeem as a people for Himself and to make a name for Himself? You performed great and
awesome wonders by driving out
nations and their gods from before Your people, whom You redeemed for
Yourself from Egypt.
Which also king David did
dedicate unto the LORD, with the silver and gold that he had dedicated of all
nations which he subdued;
and King David dedicated these to the LORD, along with the silver and gold he had dedicated from all the nations he had subdued—
And the LORD sent
Nathan unto David. And he came unto him, and said unto him, There were two men in one city; the one rich, and the other poor.
Then the LORD sent
Nathan to David, and when he arrived, he said, “There were two men in a certain city, one rich and the other poor.
And David’s anger was greatly
kindled against the man; and he said to
Nathan, As the LORD liveth, the man that hath done this thing shall surely die:
David burned with anger against the man and said to
Nathan: “As surely as the LORD lives, the man who did this deserves to die!
And
Nathan said to David, Thou art the man. Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, I
anointed thee king over Israel, and I delivered thee out of the hand of Saul;
Then
Nathan said to David, “You are that man! This is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says: ‘I
anointed you king over Israel, and I delivered you from the hand of Saul.
And David said unto
Nathan, I have
sinned against the LORD. And
Nathan said unto David, The LORD also hath put away thy sin; thou shalt not die.
Then David said to
Nathan, “I have
sinned against the LORD.” “The LORD has taken away your sin,”
Nathan replied. “You will not die.
And
Nathan departed unto his house. And the LORD struck the child that Uriah’s wife bare unto David, and it was very sick.
After
Nathan had gone home, the LORD struck the child that Uriah’s wife had borne to David, and he became ill.
And he sent by the hand of
Nathan the prophet; and he called his name Jedidiah, because of the LORD.
and sent word through
Nathan the prophet to name him Jedidiah because the LORD loved him.
Thou also hast delivered me from the strivings of my people, thou hast kept me to be head of the heathen: a people which I knew not shall serve me.
You have delivered me from the
strife of my people; You have preserved me as the head of
nations; a people I had not known shall serve me.
It is God that avengeth me, and that bringeth down the people under me,
the God who avenges me and brings down nations beneath me,
Therefore I will give
thanks unto thee, O LORD, among the heathen, and I will sing praises unto thy name.
Therefore I will praise You, O LORD, among the nations; I will sing praises to Your name.
Igal the son of
Nathan of Zobah, Bani the Gadite,
Igal son of
Nathan of Zobah, Bani the Gadite,
But
Zadok the priest, and Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, and
Nathan the prophet, and Shimei, and
Rei, and the mighty men which belonged to David, were not with Adonijah.
But
Zadok the priest, Benaiah son of Jehoiada,
Nathan the prophet, Shimei,
Rei, and David’s mighty men would not join Adonijah.
But
Nathan the prophet, and Benaiah, and the mighty men, and Solomon his brother, he called not.
But he did not
invite Nathan the prophet, Benaiah, the mighty men, or his brother Solomon.
Wherefore
Nathan spake unto Bath-
sheba the mother of Solomon, saying, Hast thou not heard that Adonijah the son of Haggith
doth reign, and David our lord knoweth it not?
Then
Nathan said to Bathsheba the mother of Solomon, “Have you not heard that Adonijah son of Haggith has become king, and our lord David does not know it?
And, lo, while she yet talked with the king,
Nathan the prophet also came in.
And just then, while Bathsheba was still speaking with the king,
Nathan the prophet arrived.
And they told the king, saying, Behold
Nathan the prophet. And when he was come in before the king, he bowed himself before the king with his face to the ground.
So the king was told, “
Nathan the prophet is here.” And
Nathan went in and bowed facedown before the king.
And
Nathan said, My lord, O king, hast thou said, Adonijah shall reign after me, and he shall sit upon my throne?
“My lord the king,” said
Nathan, “did you say, ‘Adonijah will reign after me, and he will sit on my throne’?
And king David said, Call me
Zadok the priest, and
Nathan the prophet, and Benaiah the son of Jehoiada. And they came before the king.
Then King David said, “Call in for me
Zadok the priest,
Nathan the prophet, and Benaiah son of Jehoiada.” So they came before the king.
And let
Zadok the priest and
Nathan the prophet
anoint him there king over Israel: and blow ye with the
trumpet, and say, God save king Solomon.
There
Zadok the priest and
Nathan the prophet are to
anoint him king over Israel. You are to blow the ram’s horn and declare, ‘Long live King Solomon!’
So
Zadok the priest, and
Nathan the prophet, and Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, and the Cherethites, and the Pelethites, went down, and caused Solomon to
ride upon king David’s
mule, and brought him to
Gihon.
Then
Zadok the priest,
Nathan the prophet, and Benaiah son of Jehoiada, along with the Cherethites and Pelethites, went down and set Solomon on King David’s
mule, and they
escorted him to
Gihon.
And the king hath sent with him
Zadok the priest, and
Nathan the prophet, and Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, and the Cherethites, and the Pelethites, and they have caused him to
ride upon the king’s
mule:
And with Solomon, the king has sent
Zadok the priest,
Nathan the prophet, and Benaiah son of Jehoiada, along with the Cherethites and Pelethites, and they have set him on the king’s
mule.
And
Zadok the priest and
Nathan the prophet have
anointed him king in
Gihon: and they are come up from thence
rejoicing, so that the city
rang again. This is the noise that ye have heard.
Zadok the priest and
Nathan the prophet have
anointed him king at
Gihon, and they have gone up from there with
rejoicing that rings out in the city. That is the noise you hear.
And
Azariah the son of
Nathan was over the officers: and Zabud the son of
Nathan was principal officer, and the king’s friend:
For he was wiser than all men; than
Ethan the Ezrahite, and Heman, and Chalcol, and Darda, the sons of Mahol: and his fame was in all
nations round about.
He was wiser than all men—wiser than
Ethan the Ezrahite, and wiser than Heman, Calcol, and Darda, the sons of Mahol. And his fame spread throughout the surrounding
nations.
And there came of all people to hear the wisdom of Solomon, from all kings of the earth, which had heard of his wisdom.
So men of all
nations came to
listen to Solomon’s wisdom, sent by all the kings of the earth, who had heard of his wisdom.
Of the
nations concerning which the LORD said unto the children of Israel, Ye shall not go in to them, neither shall they come in unto you: for surely they will turn away your heart after their gods: Solomon
clave unto these in love.
These women were from the
nations about which the LORD had told the Israelites, “You must not
intermarry with them, for surely they will turn your hearts after their gods.” Yet Solomon
clung to these women in love.
And there were also sodomites in the land: and they did according to all the abominations of the nations which the LORD cast out before the children of Israel.
There were even male
shrine prostitutes in the land. They imitated all the abominations of the
nations the LORD had driven out before the Israelites.
As the LORD thy God liveth, there is no
nation or kingdom,
whither my lord hath not sent to seek thee: and when they said, He is not there; he took an oath of the kingdom and
nation, that they found thee not.
As surely as the LORD your God lives, there is no
nation or kingdom where my lord has not sent someone to search for you. When they said, ‘He is not here,’ he made that kingdom or
nation swear that they had not found you.
But he walked in the way of the kings of Israel,
yea, and made his son to pass through the fire, according to the abominations of the heathen, whom the LORD cast out from before the children of Israel.
Instead, he walked in the ways of the kings of Israel and even sacrificed his son in the fire, according to the abominations of the nations that the LORD had driven out before the Israelites.
And walked in the statutes of the heathen, whom the LORD cast out from before the children of Israel, and of the kings of Israel, which they had made.
and walked in the customs of the nations that the LORD had driven out before the Israelites, as well as in the practices introduced by the kings of Israel.
And there they burnt incense in all the high places, as did the heathen whom the LORD carried away before them; and wrought wicked things to
provoke the LORD to anger:
They burned incense on all the high places like the
nations that the LORD had driven out before them. They did wicked things,
provoking the LORD to anger.
And they rejected his statutes, and his covenant that he made with their fathers, and his
testimonies which he
testified against them; and they followed vanity, and became vain, and went after the heathen that were round about them, concerning whom the LORD had charged them, that they should not do like them.
They rejected His statutes and the covenant He had made with their fathers, as well as the decrees He had given them. They pursued worthless idols and themselves became worthless, going after the surrounding
nations that the LORD had commanded them not to
imitate.
Wherefore they spake to the king of Assyria, saying, The
nations which thou hast removed, and placed in the cities of Samaria, know not the manner of the God of the land: therefore he hath sent lions among them, and, behold, they
slay them, because they know not the manner of the God of the land.
So they spoke to the king of Assyria, saying, “The peoples that you have removed and placed in the cities of Samaria do not know the requirements of the God of the land. Because of this, He has sent lions among them, which are indeed killing them off.”
Howbeit every
nation made gods of their own, and put them in the houses of the high places which the
Samaritans had made, every
nation in their cities wherein they dwelt.
Nevertheless, the people of each nation continued to make their own gods in the cities where they had settled, and they set them up in the shrines that the people of Samaria had made on the high places.
They feared the LORD, and served their own gods, after the manner of the nations whom they carried away from thence.
They worshiped the LORD, but they also served their own gods according to the customs of the nations from which they had been carried away.
So these
nations feared the LORD, and served their
graven images, both their children, and their children’s children: as did their fathers, so do they unto this day.
So these nations worshiped the LORD but also served their idols, and to this day their children and grandchildren continue to do as their fathers did.
Hath any of the gods of the nations delivered at all his land out of the hand of the king of Assyria?
Has the god of any nation ever delivered his land from the hand of the king of Assyria?
Have the gods of the
nations delivered them which my fathers have destroyed; as Gozan, and
Haran, and Rezeph, and the children of
Eden which were in Thelasar?
Did the gods of the
nations destroyed by my fathers
rescue those
nations—the gods of Gozan,
Haran, and Rezeph, and of the people of
Eden in Telassar?
Of a truth, LORD, the kings of Assyria have destroyed the nations and their lands,
Truly, O LORD, the kings of Assyria have laid waste these nations and their lands.
And he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, after the abominations of the heathen, whom the LORD cast out before the children of Israel.
And he did evil in the sight of the LORD by following the abominations of the nations that the LORD had driven out before the Israelites.
But they
hearkened not: and
Manasseh seduced them to do more evil than did the
nations whom the LORD destroyed before the children of Israel.
But the people did not
listen and
Manasseh led them
astray, so that they did greater evil than the
nations that the LORD had destroyed before the Israelites.
And he took away the horses that the kings of Judah had given to the sun, at the entering in of the house of the LORD, by the chamber of
Nathan-melech the
chamberlain, which was in the suburbs, and burned the
chariots of the sun with fire.
And he removed from the entrance to the house of the LORD the horses that the kings of Judah had dedicated to the sun. They were in the court near the chamber of an official named
Nathan-melech. And
Josiah burned up the
chariots of the sun.
Attai was the father of
Nathan,
Nathan was the father of Zabad,
And these were born unto him in Jerusalem; Shimea, and Shobab, and
Nathan, and Solomon, four, of Bath-shua the daughter of Ammiel:
and these sons were born to him in Jerusalem: Shimea, Shobab,
Nathan, and Solomon. These four were born to him by Bathsheba daughter of Ammiel.
And Zabad his son, and Shuthelah his son, and Ezer, and Elead, whom the men of
Gath that were born in that land
slew, because they came down to take away their cattle.
Shuthelah, Bered his son, Tahath his son, Eleadah his son, Tahath his son, Zabad his son, and Shuthelah his son. Ezer and Elead were killed by the
natives of
Gath, because they went down to
steal their
livestock.
Joel the brother of
Nathan, Mibhar the son of Haggeri,
Now these are the names of his children which he had in Jerusalem; Shammua, and Shobab,
Nathan, and Solomon,
These are the names of the children born to him in Jerusalem: Shammua, Shobab,
Nathan, Solomon,
And the fame of David went out into all lands; and the LORD brought the fear of him upon all nations.
And David’s fame went out into every land, and the LORD caused all nations to fear him.
Give
thanks unto the LORD, call upon his name, make known his deeds among the people.
“Give
thanks to the LORD; call upon His name; make known His deeds among the
nations.
