And I gave them My statutes and made known to them My ordinances—for the man who does these things will live by them.
But the house of Israel rebelled against me in the wilderness: they walked not in my statutes, and they
despised my judgments, which if a man do, he shall even live in them; and my sabbaths they greatly
polluted: then I said, I would pour out my
fury upon them in the wilderness, to
consume them.
Yet the house of Israel rebelled against Me in the wilderness. They did not follow My statutes and they rejected My
ordinances—though the man who does these things will live by them—and they utterly
profaned My Sabbaths. Then I resolved to pour out My wrath upon them and put an end to them in the wilderness.
Because they
despised my judgments, and walked not in my statutes, but
polluted my sabbaths: for their heart went after their idols.

ordinances, refusing to walk in My statutes, and
profaning My Sabbaths; for their hearts continually went after their idols.

defile yourselves with their idols.

polluted my sabbaths: then I said, I would pour out my
fury upon them, to
accomplish my anger against them in the wilderness.
But the children rebelled against Me. They did not walk in My statutes or carefully observe My
ordinances—though the man who does these things will live by them—and they
profaned My Sabbaths. So I resolved to pour out My wrath upon them and
vent My anger against them in the wilderness.
Because they had not executed my judgments, but had
despised my statutes, and had
polluted my sabbaths, and their eyes were after their fathers’ idols.

ordinances, but they rejected My statutes and
profaned My Sabbaths, fixing their eyes on the idols of their fathers.

ashamed of all that they have done,

ordinances thereof, and do them.

ashamed of all they have done, then make known to them the design of the temple—its arrangement and its exits and entrances—its whole design along with all its statutes, forms, and laws. And the LORD said unto me, Son of man, mark well, and behold with thine eyes, and hear with thine ears all that I say unto thee concerning all the ordinances of the house of the LORD, and all the laws thereof; and mark well the entering in of the house, with every going forth of the sanctuary.
The LORD said to me: “Son of man, pay attention; look carefully with your eyes and
listen closely with your ears to everything I tell you concerning all the statutes and laws of the house of the LORD. Take careful note of the entrance to the temple, along with all the exits of the sanctuary.

We have
sinned, and have committed iniquity, and have done wickedly, and have rebelled, even by departing from thy precepts and from thy judgments:

ordinances.
Even from the days of your fathers ye are gone away from mine ordinances, and have not kept them. Return unto me, and I will return unto you, saith the LORD of hosts. But ye said, Wherein shall we return?
