For the LORD will pass through to
smite the Egyptians; and when he
seeth the blood upon the
lintel, and on the two side posts, the LORD will pass
over the door, and will not suffer the destroyer to come in unto your houses to
smite you.
When the LORD passes through to strike down the Egyptians, He will see the blood on the top and sides of the doorframe and will pass
over that
doorway; so He will not allow the destroyer to enter your houses and strike you down.
That ye shall say, It is the sacrifice of the LORD’S
passover, who passed
over the houses of the children of Israel in Egypt, when he
smote the Egyptians, and delivered our houses. And the people bowed the head and worshipped.
you are to reply, ‘It is the
Passover sacrifice to the LORD, who passed
over the houses of the Israelites in Egypt when He struck down the Egyptians and
spared our homes.’” Then the people bowed down and worshiped.
Speak unto the children of Israel, that they turn and
encamp before
Pi-hahiroth, between
Migdol and the sea,
over against
Baal-zephon: before it shall ye
encamp by the sea.
“Tell the Israelites to turn back and
encamp before
Pi-hahiroth, between
Migdol and the sea. You are to
encamp by the sea, directly opposite
Baal-zephon.
And he took six hundred chosen
chariots, and all the
chariots of Egypt, and captains
over every one of them.
He took 600 of the best
chariots, and all the other
chariots of Egypt, with officers
over all of them.
But the Egyptians pursued after them, all the horses and
chariots of Pharaoh, and his
horsemen, and his army, and
overtook them
encamping by the sea, beside
Pi-hahiroth, before
Baal-zephon.
The Egyptians—all Pharaoh’s horses and
chariots,
horsemen and troops—pursued the Israelites and
overtook them as they camped by the sea near
Pi-hahiroth, opposite
Baal-zephon.
But lift thou up thy rod, and stretch out thine hand over the sea, and divide it: and the children of Israel shall go on dry ground through the midst of the sea.
And as for you, lift up your staff and stretch out your hand over the sea and divide it, so that the Israelites can go through the sea on dry ground.
And Moses stretched out his hand over the sea; and the LORD caused the sea to go back by a strong east wind all that night, and made the sea dry land, and the waters were divided.
Then Moses stretched out his hand over the sea, and all that night the LORD drove back the sea with a strong east wind that turned it into dry land. So the waters were divided,
And the LORD said unto Moses, Stretch out thine hand
over the sea, that the waters may come again upon the Egyptians, upon their
chariots, and upon their
horsemen.
Then the LORD said to Moses, “Stretch out your hand
over the sea, so that the waters may flow back
over the Egyptians and their
chariots and
horsemen.”
And Moses stretched forth his hand over the sea, and the sea returned to his strength when the morning appeared; and the Egyptians fled against it; and the LORD overthrew the Egyptians in the midst of the sea.
So Moses stretched out his hand
over the sea, and at
daybreak the sea returned to its normal state. As the Egyptians were retreating, the LORD swept them into the sea.
And Israel saw that great work which the LORD did upon the Egyptians: and the people feared the LORD, and believed the LORD, and his servant Moses.
When Israel saw the great power that the LORD had exercised over the Egyptians, the people feared the LORD and believed in Him and in His servant Moses.
And in the greatness of thine
excellency thou hast
overthrown them that rose up against thee: thou sentest forth thy wrath, which consumed them as
stubble.
You
overthrew Your
adversaries by Your great majesty. You unleashed Your burning wrath; it consumed them like
stubble.
The enemy said, I will pursue, I will
overtake, I will divide the
spoil; my
lust shall be satisfied upon them; I will draw my sword, my hand shall destroy them.
The enemy declared, ‘I will pursue, I will
overtake. I will divide the spoils; I will
gorge myself on them. I will draw my sword; my hand will destroy them.’
Fear and
dread shall fall upon them; by the greatness of thine arm they shall be as still as a stone; till thy people pass
over, O LORD, till the people pass
over, which thou hast purchased.
and terror and
dread will fall on them. By the power of Your arm they will be as still as a stone until Your people pass by, O LORD, until the people You have bought pass by.
For the horse of Pharaoh went in with his
chariots and with his
horsemen into the sea, and the LORD brought again the waters of the sea upon them; but the children of Israel went on dry land in the midst of the sea.
For when Pharaoh’s horses,
chariots, and
horsemen went into the sea, the LORD brought the waters of the sea back
over them. But the Israelites walked through the sea on dry ground.
And when they did
mete it with an
omer, he that gathered much had nothing
over, and he that gathered little had no lack; they gathered every man according to his eating.
When they measured it by the
omer, he who gathered much had no excess, and he who gathered little had no shortfall. Each one gathered as much as he needed to eat.
And he said unto them, This is that which the LORD hath said, To
morrow is the rest of the holy sabbath unto the LORD:
bake that which ye will
bake to day, and
seethe that ye will
seethe; and that which remaineth
over lay up for you to be kept until the morning.
He told them, “This is what the LORD has said: ‘
Tomorrow is to be a day of complete rest, a holy Sabbath to the LORD. So
bake what you want to
bake, and
boil what you want to
boil. Then set aside whatever remains and keep it until morning.’”

discomfited Amalek and his people with the edge of the sword.
So Joshua
overwhelmed Amalek and his army with the sword.
And Jethro
rejoiced for all the goodness which the LORD had done to Israel, whom he had delivered out of the hand of the Egyptians.
And Jethro
rejoiced over all the good things the LORD had done for Israel, whom He had
rescued from the hand of the Egyptians.
Moreover thou shalt provide out of all the people able men, such as fear God, men of truth,
hating covetousness; and place such
over them, to be rulers of thousands, and rulers of hundreds, rulers of
fifties, and rulers of tens:
And Moses chose able men out of all Israel, and made them heads
over the people, rulers of thousands, rulers of hundreds, rulers of
fifties, and rulers of tens.
So Moses chose capable men from all Israel and made them heads
over the people as leaders of thousands, of hundreds, of
fifties, and of tens.
Thou shalt not bow down to their gods, nor serve them, nor do after their works: but thou shalt utterly overthrow them, and quite break down their images.

overshadowing the mercy seat. The
cherubim are to face each other, looking toward the mercy seat.
And there I will meet with thee, and I will commune with thee from above the mercy seat, from between the two cherubims which are upon the ark of the testimony, of all things which I will give thee in commandment unto the children of Israel.
And I will meet with you there above the mercy seat, between the two
cherubim that are
over the ark of the Testimony; I will speak with you about all that I command you regarding the Israelites.

Additionally, make poles of
acacia wood for the altar and
overlay them with bronze.
Foursquare it shall be being doubled; a span shall be the length thereof, and a span shall be the breadth thereof.
It must be square when folded over double, a span long and a span wide.
And two other rings of gold thou shalt make, and shalt put them on the two sides of the
ephod underneath, toward the
forepart thereof,
over against the other coupling thereof, above the curious
girdle of the
ephod.
Make two additional gold rings and
attach them to the bottom of the two shoulder pieces of the

shekel after the
shekel of the sanctuary: (a
shekel is twenty gerahs:) an half

And he said, It is not the voice of them that
shout for
mastery, neither is it the voice of them that cry for being
overcome: but the noise of them that sing do I hear.

And he took the
calf which they had made, and burnt it in the fire, and ground it to powder, and strawed it upon the water, and made the children of Israel drink of it.

radiant. So Moses would put the

bekah for every man, that is, half a
shekel, after the
shekel of the sanctuary, for every one that went to be numbered, from twenty years old and upward, for six hundred thousand and three thousand and five hundred and fifty men.
a beka per person, that is, half a
shekel, according to the sanctuary
shekel, from
everyone twenty years of age or older who had crossed

And of the thousand seven hundred seventy and five shekels he made hooks for the pillars, and
overlaid their chapiters, and
filleted them.

Then he spread the tent over the tabernacle and put the covering over the tent, just as the LORD had commanded him.

candlestick in the tent of the congregation,
over against the table, on the side of the tabernacle southward.

And when the cloud was taken up from
over the tabernacle, the children of Israel went
onward in all their journeys:
Whenever the cloud was lifted from above the tabernacle, the Israelites would set out through all the stages of their journey.
For the cloud of the LORD was upon the tabernacle by day, and fire was on it by night, in the sight of all the house of Israel, throughout all their journeys.
For the cloud of the LORD was over the tabernacle by day, and fire was in the cloud by night, in the sight of all the house of Israel through all their journeys.
And if a
leprosy break out abroad in the skin, and the
leprosy cover all the skin of him that hath the plague from his head even to his foot,
wheresoever the priest looketh;
But if the skin disease breaks out all
over his skin so that it covers all the skin of the
infected person from head to foot, as far as the priest can see,
And the priest shall command that one of the birds be killed in an
earthen vessel
over running water:
Then the priest shall command that one of the birds be slaughtered over fresh water in a clay pot.
As for the living bird, he shall take it, and the
cedar wood, and the scarlet, and the
hyssop, and shall dip them and the living bird in the blood of the bird that was killed
over the running water:
And he is to take the live bird together with the
cedar wood, scarlet yarn, and
hyssop, and dip them into the blood of the bird that was slaughtered
over the fresh water.
And he shall kill the one of the birds in an
earthen vessel
over running water:
and he shall slaughter one of the birds over fresh water in a clay pot.
And Aaron shall lay both his hands upon the head of the live goat, and
confess over him all the
iniquities of the children of Israel, and all their transgressions in all their sins, putting them upon the head of the goat, and shall send him away by the hand of a fit man into the wilderness:
Then he is to lay both hands on the head of the live goat and
confess over it all the
iniquities and
rebellious acts of the Israelites in regard to all their sins. He is to put them on the goat’s head and send it away into the wilderness by the hand of a man appointed for the task.
Then let him count the years of the sale thereof, and restore the
overplus unto the man to whom he sold it; that he may return unto his possession.
he shall
calculate the years since its sale, repay the balance to the man to whom he sold it, and return to his property.
Thou shalt not rule over him with rigour; but shalt fear thy God.
You are not to rule over them harshly, but you shall fear your God.
And ye shall take them as an inheritance for your children after you, to
inherit them for a possession; they shall be your
bondmen for ever: but
over your brethren the children of Israel, ye shall not rule one
over another with rigour.
You may leave them to your sons after you to
inherit as property; you can make them slaves for life. But as for your brothers, the Israelites, no man may rule harshly
over his brother.
And as a yearly
hired servant shall he be with him: and the other shall not rule with rigour
over him in thy sight.
He shall be treated like a man
hired from year to year, but a foreign owner must not rule
over him harshly in your sight.
I also will do this unto you; I will even
appoint over you terror, consumption, and the burning
ague, that shall
consume the eyes, and cause sorrow of heart: and ye shall
sow your seed in vain, for your enemies shall eat it.
then this is what I will do to you: I will bring upon you sudden terror, wasting disease, and fever that will destroy your sight and
drain your life. You will
sow your seed in vain, because your enemies will eat it.
And I will set my face against you, and ye shall be slain before your enemies: they that
hate you shall reign
over you; and ye shall
flee when none pursueth you.
And I will set My face against you, so that you will be defeated by your enemies. Those who
hate you will rule
over you, and you will
flee when no one pursues you.
And they shall fall one upon another, as it were before a sword, when none pursueth: and ye shall have no power to stand before your enemies.
They will
stumble over one another as before the sword, though no one is behind them. So you will not be able to stand against your enemies.
But thou shalt
appoint the Levites
over the tabernacle of testimony, and
over all the vessels thereof, and
over all things that belong to it: they shall bear the tabernacle, and all the vessels thereof; and they shall minister unto it, and shall
encamp round about the tabernacle.
Instead, you are to
appoint the Levites
over the tabernacle of the Testimony, all its furnishings, and everything in it. They shall carry the tabernacle and all its articles, care for it, and camp around it.
But the Levites shall pitch round about the tabernacle of testimony, that there be no wrath upon the congregation of the children of Israel: and the Levites shall keep the charge of the tabernacle of testimony.
But the Levites are to camp around the tabernacle of the Testimony and watch over it, so that no wrath will fall on the congregation of Israel. So the Levites are responsible for the tabernacle of the Testimony.”
And
Eleazar the son of Aaron the priest shall be chief
over the chief of the Levites, and have the
oversight of them that keep the charge of the sanctuary.
The chief of the leaders of the Levites was
Eleazar son of Aaron the priest; he
oversaw those responsible for the duties of the sanctuary.
And Moses took the
redemption money of them that were
over and above them that were redeemed by the Levites:
So Moses collected the
redemption money from those in excess of the number redeemed by the Levites.
And shall put
thereon the covering of badgers’ skins, and shall spread
over it a cloth wholly of blue, and shall put in the
staves thereof.
They are to place
over this a covering of fine leather, spread a solid blue cloth
over it, and
insert its poles.
And upon the table of
shewbread they shall spread a cloth of blue, and put
thereon the dishes, and the spoons, and the
bowls, and covers to cover
withal: and the continual bread shall be
thereon:
Over the table of the Presence they are to spread a blue cloth and place the plates and cups on it, along with the
bowls and pitchers for the drink offering. The regular bread offering is to remain on it.
And they shall spread upon them a cloth of scarlet, and cover the same with a covering of badgers’ skins, and shall put in the
staves thereof.
And they shall spread a scarlet cloth
over them, cover them with fine leather, and
insert the poles.
And upon the golden altar they shall spread a cloth of blue, and cover it with a covering of badgers’ skins, and shall put to the
staves thereof:
Over the gold altar they are to spread a blue cloth, cover it with fine leather, and
insert the poles.
And they shall take away the ashes from the altar, and spread a purple cloth
thereon:
Then they shall remove the ashes from the bronze altar, spread a purple cloth over it,
And they shall put upon it all the vessels thereof,
wherewith they minister about it, even the censers, the fleshhooks, and the shovels, and the basons, all the vessels of the altar; and they shall spread upon it a covering of badgers skins, and put to the
staves of it.
and place on it all the vessels used to serve there: the firepans, meat forks, shovels, and
sprinkling bowls—all the
equipment of the altar. They are to spread
over it a covering of fine leather and
insert the poles.
