And the feast of harvest, the firstfruits of thy labours, which thou hast sown in the field: and the feast of ingathering, which is in the end of the year, when thou hast gathered in thy labours out of the field.
You are also to keep the Feast of Harvest with the firstfruits of the produce from what you
sow in the field. And keep the Feast of Ingathering at the end of the year, when you gather your produce from the field.
And if any part of their
carcase fall upon any
sowing seed which is to be
sown, it shall be clean.
And the elders of that city shall bring down the
heifer unto a rough valley, which is neither eared nor
sown, and shall strike off the
heifer’s neck there in the valley:
bring the
heifer to a valley with running water that has not been
plowed or
sown, and break its neck there by the stream.
Do not plant your
vineyard with two types of seed; if you do, the entire harvest will be
defiled—both the crop you plant and the fruit of your
vineyard.
And that the whole land thereof is
brimstone, and salt, and burning, that it is not
sown, nor beareth, nor any grass groweth therein, like the overthrow of
Sodom, and
Gomorrah, Admah, and
Zeboim, which the LORD overthrew in his anger, and in his wrath:
All its soil will be a burning waste of sulfur and salt, unsown and unproductive, with no plant growing on it, just like the destruction of
Sodom and
Gomorrah, Admah and Zeboiim, which the LORD overthrew in His fierce anger.
And so it was, when Israel had
sown, that the Midianites came up, and the
Amalekites, and the children of the east, even they came up against them;
Whenever the Israelites would plant their crops, the Midianites,
Amalekites, and other people of the east would come up and
invade them,
Then let me
sow, and let another eat;
yea, let my offspring be rooted out.
then may another eat what I have sown, and may my crops be uprooted.
Light is
sown for the righteous, and
gladness for the upright in heart.
Light shines on the righteous,
gladness on the upright in heart.
The paper reeds by the
brooks, by the mouth of the
brooks, and every thing
sown by the
brooks, shall wither, be driven away, and be no more.
The bulrushes by the Nile, by the mouth of the river, and all the fields sown along the Nile, will wither, blow away, and be no more.
Then shall he give the rain of thy seed, that thou shalt
sow the ground
withal; and bread of the increase of the earth, and it shall be fat and
plenteous: in that day shall thy cattle feed in large pastures.
Then He will send rain for the seed that you have
sown in the ground, and the food that comes from your land will be rich and
plentiful. On that day your cattle will
graze in open pastures.
Yea, they shall not be planted;
yea, they shall not be
sown:
yea, their stock shall not take root in the earth: and he shall also blow upon them, and they shall wither, and the
whirlwind shall take them away as
stubble.
No sooner are they planted, no sooner are they
sown, no sooner have their stems taken root in the ground, than He blows on them and they wither, and a
whirlwind sweeps them away like
stubble.
For as the earth bringeth forth her
bud, and as the garden causeth the things that are
sown in it to spring forth; so the Lord GOD will cause righteousness and praise to spring forth before all the nations.
For as the earth brings forth its growth, and as a garden enables seed to spring up, so the Lord GOD will cause righteousness and praise to spring up before all the nations.
Go and cry in the ears of Jerusalem, saying, Thus saith the LORD; I remember thee, the kindness of thy youth, the love of thine
espousals, when thou wentest after me in the wilderness, in a land that was not
sown.
“Go and
proclaim in the hearing of Jerusalem that this is what the LORD says: ‘I remember the devotion of your youth, your love as a
bride, how you followed Me in the wilderness, in a land not
sown.
They have
sown wheat, but shall
reap thorns: they have put themselves to pain, but shall not profit: and they shall be
ashamed of your revenues because of the fierce anger of the LORD.
They have
sown wheat but harvested thorns. They have exhausted themselves to no
avail. Bear the shame of your harvest because of the fierce anger of the LORD.”
For, behold, I am for you, and I will turn unto you, and ye shall be tilled and sown:
For behold, I am on your side; I will turn toward you, and you will be tilled and sown.
For they have
sown the wind, and they shall
reap the
whirlwind: it hath no
stalk: the
bud shall yield no meal: if so be it yield, the strangers shall
swallow it up.
For they
sow the wind, and they shall
reap the
whirlwind. There is no standing grain; what
sprouts fails to yield flour. Even if it should produce, the foreigners would
swallow it up.
And the LORD hath given a commandment concerning thee, that no more of thy name be
sown: out of the house of thy gods will I cut off the
graven image and the
molten image: I will make thy grave; for thou art
vile.
The LORD has issued a command concerning you, O
Nineveh: “There will be no descendants to carry on your name. I will cut off the carved image and cast
idol from the house of your gods; I will prepare your grave, for you are contemptible.”
Ye have
sown much, and bring in little; ye eat, but ye have not enough; ye drink, but ye are not filled with drink; ye
clothe you, but there is none warm; and he that earneth wages earneth wages to put it into a
bag with holes.
You have planted much but harvested little. You eat but never have enough. You drink but never have your fill. You put on clothes but never get warm. You
earn wages to put into a
bag pierced through.”
When any one heareth the word of the kingdom, and understandeth it not, then cometh the wicked one, and catcheth away that which was sown in his heart. This is he which received seed by the way side.
When
anyone hears the message of the kingdom but does not understand it, the evil one comes and snatches away what was
sown in his heart. This is the seed
sown along the path.
But he that received the seed into
stony places, the same is he that heareth the word, and
anon with joy receiveth it;
The seed sown on rocky ground is the one who hears the word and at once receives it with joy.
He also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the care of this world, and the
deceitfulness of riches,
choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful.
The seed
sown among the thorns is the one who hears the word, but the
worries of this life and the
deceitfulness of wealth
choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful.
But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it; which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some an
hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.
But the seed
sown on good soil is the one who hears the word and understands it. He indeed bears fruit and produces a crop—a
hundredfold, sixtyfold, or thirtyfold.”
Then he which had received the one talent came and said, Lord, I knew thee that thou art an hard man,
reaping where thou hast not
sown, and gathering where thou hast not strawed:
Finally, the servant who had received the one talent came and said, ‘Master, I knew that you are a hard man,
reaping where you have not
sown and gathering where you have not scattered seed.
His lord answered and said unto him, Thou wicked and
slothful servant, thou knewest that I
reap where I
sowed not, and gather where I have not strawed:
‘You wicked,
lazy servant!’ replied his master. ‘You knew that I
reap where I have not
sown and gather where I have not scattered seed.
And these are they by the way side, where the word is
sown; but when they have heard,
Satan cometh immediately, and taketh away the word that was
sown in their hearts.
Some are like the seeds along the path, where the word is
sown. As soon as they hear it,
Satan comes and takes away the word that was
sown in them.
And these are they likewise which are
sown on
stony ground; who, when they have heard the word, immediately receive it with
gladness;
Some are like the seeds sown on rocky ground. They hear the word and at once receive it with joy.
And these are they which are sown among thorns; such as hear the word,
Others are like the seeds sown among the thorns. They hear the word,
And these are they which are sown on good ground; such as hear the word, and receive it, and bring forth fruit, some thirtyfold, some sixty, and some an hundred.
Still others are like the seeds
sown on good soil. They hear the word, receive it, and produce a crop—thirtyfold, sixtyfold, or a
hundredfold.”
It is like a grain of
mustard seed, which, when it is
sown in the earth, is less than all the seeds that be in the earth:
It is like a
mustard seed, which is the smallest of all seeds
sown upon the earth.
But when it is
sown, it groweth up, and becometh greater than all herbs, and shooteth out great branches; so that the fowls of the air may
lodge under the shadow of it.
But after it is planted, it grows to be the largest of all garden plants and puts forth great branches, so that the birds of the air nest in its shade.”
If we have
sown unto you spiritual things, is it a great thing if we shall
reap your
carnal things?
If we have
sown spiritual seed among you, is it too much for us to
reap a material harvest from you?
So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption:
So will it be with the resurrection of the dead: What is sown is perishable; it is raised imperishable.
It is sown in dishonour; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power:
It is sown in dishonor; it is raised in glory. It is sown in weakness; it is raised in power.
It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.
It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual body.
Now he that ministereth seed to the
sower both minister bread for your food, and multiply your seed
sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness;)
Now He who supplies seed to the
sower and bread for food will supply and multiply your store of seed and will increase the harvest of your righteousness.
And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace.
Peacemakers who
sow in peace
reap the fruit of righteousness.
Likewise for those that are no soldiers, and have not to do with wars, but use husbundry, when they have
reaped again that which they had
sown, they bring it to the king, and
compel one another to pay tribute unto the king.
But as concerning the things
whereof thou askest me, I will tell thee; for the evil is
sown, but the destruction thereof is not yet come.
If therefore that which is
sown be not turned
upside down, and if the place where the evil is
sown pass not away, then cannot it come that is
sown with good.
For the grain of evil seed hath been
sown in the heart of Adam from the beginning, and how much
ungodliness hath it brought up unto this time? and how much shall it yet bring forth until the time of
threshing come?
Then said he unto me, Even so have I given the
womb of the earth to those that be
sown in it in their times.
And suddenly shall the sown places appear unsown, the full storehouses shall suddenly be found empty:
For as the
husbandman soweth much seed upon the ground, and planteth many trees, and yet the thing that is
sown good in his season cometh not up, neither
doth all that is planted take root: even so is it of them that are
sown in the world; they shall not all be saved.
Yet they that received it perished, because they kept not the thing that was sown in them.
And, lo, it is a custom, when the ground hath received seed, or the sea a ship, or any vessel meat or drink, that, that being perished wherein it was sown or cast into,
That thing also which was
sown, or cast therein, or received,
doth perish, and remaineth not with us: but with us it hath not happened so.
