And if the prophet be
deceived when he hath
spoken a thing, I the LORD have
deceived that prophet, and I will stretch out my hand upon him, and will destroy him from the midst of my people Israel.
But if the prophet is
enticed to speak a message, then it was I the LORD who
enticed him, and I will stretch out My hand against him and destroy him from among My people Israel.
And all his fugitives with all his bands shall fall by the sword, and they that remain shall be scattered toward all winds: and ye shall know that I the LORD have spoken it.

survive will be scattered to every wind. Then you will know that I, the LORD, have
spoken.’
And all the trees of the field shall know that I the LORD have brought down the high tree, have
exalted the low tree, have dried up the green tree, and have made the dry tree to
flourish: I the LORD have brought down the high tree, have
exalted the low tree, have dried up the green tree, and have made the dry tree to
flourish: I the LORD have
spoken and have done it.

withered tree
flourish. I, the LORD, have
spoken, and I have done it.’”

smite mine hands together, and I will cause my

spoken.’”
Can thine heart
endure, or can thine hands be strong, in the days that I shall deal with thee? I the LORD have
spoken it, and will do it.

endure or your hands be strong in the day I deal with you? I, the LORD, have
spoken, and I will act.
And her prophets have
daubed them with untempered
morter, seeing vanity, and divining lies unto them, saying, Thus saith the Lord GOD, when the LORD hath not
spoken.
Her prophets
whitewash these deeds by false visions and lying divinations, saying, ‘This is what the Lord GOD says,’ when the LORD has not
spoken.
Thou shalt even drink it and
suck it out, and thou shalt break the sherds thereof, and
pluck off thine own breasts: for I have
spoken it, saith the Lord GOD.
You will drink it and
drain it; you will
dash it to pieces, and
tear your breasts. For I have
spoken,’ declares the Lord GOD.
I the LORD have
spoken it: it shall come to pass, and I will do it; I will not go back, neither will I
spare, neither will I
repent; according to thy ways, and according to thy doings, shall they judge thee, saith the Lord GOD.

spoken; the time is coming, and I will act. I will not
refrain or show
pity, nor will I relent. I will judge you according to your ways and deeds,’ declares the Lord GOD.”

spoken, declares the Lord GOD. She will become
plunder for the nations,

desolation upon the land and everything in it. I, the LORD, have

And thou shalt know that I am the LORD, and that I have heard all thy blasphemies which thou hast
spoken against the mountains of Israel, saying, They are laid
desolate, they are given us to
consume.
Then you will know that I, the LORD, have heard every
contemptuous word you uttered against the mountains of Israel when you said, ‘They are
desolate; they are given to us to
devour!’
Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Surely in the fire of my jealousy have I
spoken against the residue of the heathen, and against all
Idumea, which have appointed my land into their possession with the joy of all their heart, with
despiteful minds, to cast it out for a prey.

spoken against the rest of the nations, and against all
Edom, who took My land as their own possession with wholehearted joy and utter contempt, so that its pastureland became
plunder.
Prophesy therefore concerning the land of Israel, and say unto the mountains, and to the hills, to the rivers, and to the valleys, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I have
spoken in my jealousy and in my
fury, because ye have borne the shame of the heathen:
Therefore,
prophesy concerning the land of Israel and tell the mountains and hills, the ravines and valleys, that this is what the Lord GOD says: Behold, I have
spoken in My burning zeal because you have
endured the reproach of the nations.
Then the heathen that are left round about you shall know that I the LORD build the ruined places, and plant that that was
desolate: I the LORD have
spoken it, and I will do it.
Then the nations around you that remain will know that I, the LORD, have rebuilt what was destroyed, and I have replanted what was
desolate. I, the LORD, have
spoken, and I will do it.
And shall put my spirit in you, and ye shall live, and I shall place you in your own land: then shall ye know that I the LORD have spoken it, and performed it, saith the LORD.

spoken in old time by my servants the prophets of Israel, which
prophesied in those days many years that I would bring thee against them?

spoken in former days through My servants, the prophets of Israel, who in those times
prophesied for years that I would bring you against them?

While the word was in the king’s mouth, there fell a voice from heaven, saying, O king
Nebuchadnezzar, to thee it is
spoken; The kingdom is departed from thee.
While the words were still in the king’s mouth, a voice came from heaven: “It is decreed to you, King
Nebuchadnezzar, that the kingdom has departed from you.
And the vision of the evening and the morning which was told is true: wherefore shut thou up the vision; for it shall be for many days.
The vision of the evenings and the mornings that has been spoken is true. Now you must seal up the vision, for it concerns the distant future.”
And he hath confirmed his words, which he spake against us, and against our judges that judged us, by bringing upon us a great evil: for under the whole heaven hath not been done as hath been done upon Jerusalem.
You have carried out the words
spoken against us and against our rulers by bringing upon us a great
disaster. For under all of heaven, nothing has ever been done like what has been done to Jerusalem.
And he said unto me, O Daniel, a man greatly beloved, understand the words that I speak unto thee, and stand upright: for unto thee am I now sent. And when he had
spoken this word unto me, I stood
trembling.
He said to me, “Daniel, you are a man who is highly precious. Consider carefully the words that I am about to say to you. Stand up, for I have now been sent to you.” And when he had said this to me, I stood up
trembling.
And when he had
spoken such words unto me, I set my face toward the ground, and I became
dumb.
While he was speaking these words to me, I set my face toward the ground and became speechless.
And said, O man greatly beloved, fear not: peace be unto thee, be strong,
yea, be strong. And when he had
spoken unto me, I was strengthened, and said, Let my lord speak; for thou hast strengthened me.

Woe unto them! for they have fled from me: destruction unto them! because they have
transgressed against me: though I have redeemed them, yet they have
spoken lies against me.
Woe to them, for they have
strayed from Me! Destruction to them, for they have rebelled against Me! Though I would
redeem them, they speak lies against Me.
They have
spoken words,
swearing falsely in making a covenant: thus judgment springeth up as
hemlock in the furrows of the field.
They speak mere words; with false oaths they make covenants. So judgment springs up like poisonous weeds in the furrows of a field.
I have also spoken by the prophets, and I have multiplied visions, and used similitudes, by the ministry of the prophets.
I spoke through the prophets and multiplied their visions; I gave parables through the prophets.
And I will sell your sons and your daughters into the hand of the children of Judah, and they shall sell them to the
Sabeans, to a people far off: for the LORD hath
spoken it.
I will sell your sons and daughters into the hands of the people of Judah, and they will sell them to the
Sabeans—to a distant nation.” Indeed, the LORD has
spoken.
Hear this word that the LORD hath spoken against you, O children of Israel, against the whole family which I brought up from the land of Egypt, saying,
Hear this word that the LORD has spoken against you, O children of Israel, against the whole family that I brought up out of the land of Egypt:
The lion hath
roared, who will not fear? the Lord GOD hath
spoken, who can but
prophesy?
The lion has
roared— who will not fear? The Lord GOD has
spoken— who will not
prophesy?
Seek good, and not evil, that ye may live: and so the LORD, the God of hosts, shall be with you, as ye have spoken.
Seek good, not evil, so that you may live. And the LORD, the God of Hosts, will be with you, as you have claimed.
But thou shouldest not have looked on the day of thy brother in the day that he became a stranger; neither shouldest thou have
rejoiced over the children of Judah in the day of their destruction; neither shouldest thou have
spoken proudly in the day of distress.
But you should not
gloat in that day, your brother’s day of misfortune, nor
rejoice over the people of Judah in the day of their destruction, nor
boast proudly in the day of their distress.
And the house of Jacob shall be a fire, and the house of Joseph a flame, and the house of
Esau for
stubble, and they shall
kindle in them, and
devour them; and there shall not be any remaining of the house of
Esau; for the LORD hath
spoken it.
Then the house of Jacob will be a
blazing fire, and the house of Joseph a burning flame; but the house of
Esau will be
stubble— Jacob will set it
ablaze and
consume it. Therefore no
survivor will remain from the house of
Esau.” For the LORD has
spoken.
But they shall sit every man under his vine and under his fig tree; and none shall make them afraid: for the mouth of the LORD of hosts hath spoken it.
And each man will sit under his own vine and under his own fig tree, with no one to
frighten him. For the mouth of the LORD of Hosts has
spoken.
For the rich men thereof are full of violence, and the inhabitants thereof have
spoken lies, and their tongue is
deceitful in their mouth.
For the wealthy of the city are full of violence, and its residents speak lies; their tongues are
deceitful in their mouths.
Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Let your hands be strong, ye that hear in these days these words by the mouth of the prophets, which were in the day that the foundation of the house of the LORD of hosts was laid, that the temple might be built.
This is what the LORD of Hosts says: “Let your hands be strong, you who now hear these words spoken by the prophets who were present when the foundations were laid to rebuild the temple, the house of the LORD of Hosts.
For the idols have
spoken vanity, and the diviners have seen a lie, and have told false dreams; they comfort in vain: therefore they went their way as a flock, they were troubled, because there was no
shepherd.
For idols speak
deceit and diviners see illusions; they tell false dreams and offer empty comfort. Therefore the people
wander like sheep,
oppressed for lack of a
shepherd.
And it shall come to pass, that when any shall yet
prophesy, then his father and his mother that
begat him shall say unto him, Thou shalt not live; for thou speakest lies in the name of the LORD: and his father and his mother that
begat him shall thrust him through when he prophesieth.
And if
anyone still prophesies, his father and mother who bore him will say to him, ‘You shall not remain alive, because you have
spoken falsely in the name of the LORD.’ When he prophesies, his father and mother who bore him will
pierce him through.
Your words have been
stout against me, saith the LORD. Yet ye say, What have we
spoken so much against thee?
“Your words against Me have been harsh,” says the LORD. “Yet you ask, ‘What have we spoken against You?’
Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying,
All this took place to
fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet:
And was there until the death of Herod: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, Out of Egypt have I called my son.

Nazareth: that it might be fulfilled which was

Nazarene.
and he went and lived in a town called
Nazareth. So was fulfilled what was
spoken through the prophets: “He will be called a
Nazarene.”

This is he who was spoken of through the prophet Isaiah: “A voice of one calling in the wilderness, ‘Prepare the way for the Lord, make straight paths for Him.’”
That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying,
to
fulfill what was
spoken through the prophet Isaiah:
That it might be fulfilled which was
spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, Himself took our
infirmities, and bare our sicknesses.
This was to
fulfill what was
spoken through the prophet Isaiah: “He took on our
infirmities and carried our diseases.”
That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying,
This was to
fulfill what was
spoken through the prophet Isaiah:
But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.
But I tell you that men will give an account on the day of judgment for every careless word they have spoken.
That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying, I will open my mouth in parables; I will utter things which have been kept secret from the foundation of the world.
So was fulfilled what was spoken through the prophet: “I will open My mouth in parables; I will utter things hidden since the foundation of the world.”
All this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying,
This took place to
fulfill what was
spoken through the prophet:
But as touching the resurrection of the dead, have ye not read that which was spoken unto you by God, saying,
But concerning the resurrection of the dead, have you not read what God said to you:
When ye therefore shall see the
abomination of
desolation,
spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (
whoso readeth, let him understand:)
So when you see standing in the holy place ‘the
abomination of
desolation,’ described by the prophet Daniel (let the reader understand),
Then the high priest rent his clothes, saying, He hath
spoken blasphemy; what further need have we of witnesses? behold, now ye have heard his
blasphemy.
At this, the high priest
tore his clothes and declared, “He has
blasphemed! Why do we need any more witnesses? Look, now you have heard the
blasphemy.
And Peter remembered the word of Jesus, which said unto him, Before the

wept bitterly.

rooster crows, you will deny Me three times.” And he went outside and
wept bitterly.

And they

spoken, immediately the
leprosy departed from him, and he was
cleansed.

At this, the leaders sought to arrest Jesus, for they knew that He had spoken this parable against them. But fearing the crowd, they left Him and went away.
But when ye shall see the
abomination of
desolation,
spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not, (let him that readeth understand,) then let them that be in Judaea
flee to the mountains:
So when you see the
abomination of
desolation standing where it should not be (let the reader understand), then let those who are in
Judea flee to the mountains.
Verily I say unto you,
Wheresoever this gospel shall be preached throughout the whole world, this also that she hath done shall be
spoken of for a
memorial of her.
And truly I tell you, wherever the gospel is preached in all the world, what she has done will also be told in memory of her.”
And the second time the
cock crew. And Peter called to mind the word that Jesus said unto him, Before the
cock crow twice, thou shalt deny me
thrice. And when he thought

spoken to him: “Before the
rooster crows twice, you will deny Me three times.” And he broke down and
wept.

spoken against;
Then
Simeon blessed them and said to His mother Mary: “Behold, this Child is appointed to cause the rise and fall of many in Israel, and to be a sign that will be
spoken against,
And when the voice was past, Jesus was found alone. And they kept it close, and told no man in those days any of those things which they had seen.
After the voice had
spoken, only Jesus was present with them. The disciples kept this to themselves, and in those days they did not tell
anyone what they had seen.
Therefore
whatsoever ye have
spoken in darkness shall be heard in the light; and that which ye have
spoken in the ear in closets shall be proclaimed upon the housetops.
What you have
spoken in the dark will be heard in the
daylight, and what you have
whispered in the inner rooms will be proclaimed from the housetops.
And they understood none of these things: and this saying was
hid from them, neither knew they the things which were
spoken.
But the disciples did not understand any of these things. The meaning was hidden from them, and they did not
comprehend what He was saying.
And when he had thus spoken, he went before, ascending up to Jerusalem.
After Jesus had said this, He went on
ahead, going up to Jerusalem.
And the chief priests and the
scribes the same hour sought to lay hands on him; and they feared the people: for they perceived that he had
spoken this parable against them.
When the
scribes and chief priests realized that Jesus had
spoken this parable against them, they sought to arrest Him that very hour. But they were afraid of the people.
Then certain of the
scribes answering said, Master, thou hast well said.
Some of the
scribes answered, “Teacher, You have
spoken well!”
And the Lord turned, and looked upon Peter. And Peter remembered the word of the Lord, how he had said unto him, Before the
cock crow, thou shalt deny me

spoken to him: “Before the
rooster crows today, you will deny Me three times.”

In fact, you have had five husbands, and the man you now have is not your husband. You have spoken truthfully.”

“Never has
anyone spoken like this man!” the officers answered.
When he had thus
spoken, he
spat on the ground, and made clay of the
spittle, and he
anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay,
When Jesus had said this, He
spit on the ground, made some mud, and applied it to the man’s eyes.
Howbeit Jesus spake of his death: but they thought that he had
spoken of taking of rest in sleep.
They thought that Jesus was talking about actual sleep, but He was speaking about the death of
Lazarus.
And when he thus had
spoken, he
cried with a loud voice,
Lazarus, come forth.
After Jesus had said this, He called out in a loud voice, “
Lazarus, come out!”
The people therefore, that stood by, and heard it, said that it
thundered: others said, An angel spake to him.
The crowd standing there heard it and said that it had
thundered. Others said that an angel had
spoken to Him.
While ye have light, believe in the light, that ye may be the children of light. These things spake Jesus, and departed, and did hide himself from them.
While you have the Light, believe in the Light, so that you may become sons of light.” After Jesus had spoken these things, He went away and was hidden from them.
He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.
There is a judge for the one who rejects Me and does not receive My words: The word that I have spoken will judge him on the last day.
For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak.
I have not spoken on My own, but the Father who sent Me has commanded Me what to say and how to say it.
These things have I spoken unto you, being yet present with you.
All this I have spoken to you while I am still with you.
Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.
You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you.
These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.
I have told you these things so that My joy may be in you and your joy may be complete.

spoken unto them, they had not had sin: but now they have no
cloke for their sin.
If I had not come and
spoken to them, they would not be guilty of sin. Now, however, they have no
excuse for their sin.
These things have I
spoken unto you, that ye should not be
offended.
“I have told you these things so that you will not fall away.
These things have I
spoken unto you in
proverbs: but the time cometh, when I shall no more speak unto you in
proverbs, but I shall
shew you plainly of the Father.
I have spoken these things to you in figures of speech. An hour is coming when I will no longer speak to you this way, but will tell you plainly about the Father.
These things I have
spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have
tribulation: but be of good
cheer; I have overcome the world.
I have told you these things so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have
tribulation. But take courage; I have overcome the world!”
These words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour is come;
glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may
glorify thee:

spoken these things, He lifted up His eyes to heaven and said, “Father, the hour has come.
Glorify Your Son, that Your Son may
glorify You.

spoken these words, he went forth with his disciples over the
brook Cedron, where was a garden, into the which he entered, and his disciples.
After Jesus had spoken these words, He went out with His disciples across the Kidron Valley, where they entered a garden.
