So I returned, and considered all the oppressions that are done under the
sun: and behold the tears of such as were
oppressed, and they had no comforter; and on the side of their oppressors there was power; but they had no comforter.
Again I looked, and I considered all the oppression taking place under the
sun. I saw the tears of the
oppressed, and they had no comforter; the power lay in the hands of their oppressors, and there was no comforter.
Yea, better is he than both they, which hath not yet been, who hath not seen the evil work that is done under the
sun.
But better than both is he who has not yet existed, who has not seen the evil that is done under the sun.
Then I returned, and I saw vanity under the sun.
I considered all the living which walk under the
sun, with the second child that shall stand up in his
stead.
I saw that all who lived and walked under the sun followed this second one, the youth who succeeded the king.
There is a
sore evil which I have seen under the
sun, namely, riches kept for the owners thereof to their
hurt.
Behold that which I have seen: it is good and comely for one to eat and to drink, and to enjoy the good of all his labour that he taketh under the sun all the days of his life, which God giveth him: for it is his portion.
Here is what I have seen to be good and fitting: to eat and drink, and to find satisfaction in all the labor one does under the sun during the few days of life that God has given him—for this is his lot.
There is an evil which I have seen under the sun, and it is common among men:
There is another evil I have seen under the
sun, and it weighs
heavily upon mankind:
Moreover he hath not seen the sun, nor known any thing: this hath more rest than the other.
The child, though neither seeing the sun nor knowing anything, has more rest than that man,
For who knoweth what is good for man in this life, all the days of his vain life which he spendeth as a shadow? for who can tell a man what shall be after him under the sun?
For who knows what is good for a man during the few days in which he passes through his fleeting life like a shadow? Who can tell a man what will come after him under the sun?
Wisdom is good with an inheritance: and by it there is profit to them that see the sun.
Wisdom, like an inheritance, is good, and it benefits those who see the sun.
All this have I seen, and applied my heart unto every work that is done under the
sun: there is a time wherein one man ruleth over another to his own
hurt.
All this I have seen, applying my mind to every deed that is done under the
sun; there is a time when one man lords it over another to his own
detriment.
Then I
commended mirth, because a man hath no better thing under the
sun, than to eat, and to drink, and to be
merry: for that shall
abide with him of his labour the days of his life, which God giveth him under the
sun.
So I
commended the enjoyment of life, because there is nothing better for a man under the
sun than to eat and drink and be
merry. For this joy will
accompany him in his labor during the days of his life that God gives him under the
sun.
Then I
beheld all the work of God, that a man cannot find out the work that is done under the
sun: because though a man labour to seek it out, yet he shall not find it;
yea further; though a wise man think to know it, yet shall he not be able to find it.
I saw every work of God, and that a man is unable to
comprehend the work that is done under the
sun.
Despite his efforts to search it out, he cannot find its meaning; even if the wise man claims to know, he is unable to
comprehend.
This is an evil among all things that are done under the
sun, that there is one event unto all:
yea, also the heart of the sons of men is full of evil, and madness is in their heart while they live, and after that they go to the dead.
This is an evil in everything that is done under the
sun: There is one fate for
everyone.
Furthermore, the hearts of men are full of evil and madness while they are alive, and afterward they join the dead.
Also their love, and their hatred, and their
envy, is now perished; neither have they any more a portion for ever in any thing that is done under the
sun.
Their love, their
hate, and their
envy have already
vanished, and they will never again have a share in all that is done under the
sun.
Live
joyfully with the wife whom thou lovest all the days of the life of thy vanity, which he hath given thee under the
sun, all the days of thy vanity: for that is thy portion in this life, and in thy labour which thou takest under the
sun.
Enjoy life with your beloved wife all the days of the fleeting life that God has given you under the sun—all your fleeting days. For this is your portion in life and in your labor under the sun.
I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all.
I saw something else under the sun: The race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong; neither is the bread to the wise, nor the wealth to the intelligent, nor the favor to the skillful. For time and chance happen to all.
This wisdom have I seen also under the sun, and it seemed great unto me:
I have also seen this wisdom under the sun, and it was great to me:
There is an evil which I have seen under the sun, as an error which proceedeth from the ruler:
There is an evil I have seen under the sun— an error that proceeds from the ruler:
Truly the light is sweet, and a pleasant thing it is for the eyes to behold the sun:
Light is sweet, and it pleases the eyes to see the sun.
While the
sun, or the light, or the moon, or the stars, be not
darkened, nor the clouds return after the rain:
before the light of the
sun, moon, and stars is
darkened, and the clouds return after the rain,
Look not upon me, because I am black, because the
sun hath looked upon me: my mother’s children were
angry with me; they made me the keeper of the vineyards; but mine own
vineyard have I not kept.
Do not
stare because I am dark, for the
sun has
gazed upon me. My mother’s sons were
angry with me; they made me a keeper of the vineyards, but my own
vineyard I have neglected.
Who is she that looketh forth as the morning, fair as the moon, clear as the sun, and terrible as an army with banners?
Who is this who shines like the
dawn, as fair as the moon, as bright as the
sun, as
majestic as the stars in
procession?
For the stars of heaven and the constellations thereof shall not give their light: the
sun shall be
darkened in his going forth, and the moon shall not cause her light to
shine.
For the stars of heaven and their constellations will not give their light. The rising
sun will be
darkened, and the moon will not give its light.
For so the LORD said unto me, I will take my rest, and I will consider in my dwelling place like a clear heat upon herbs, and like a cloud of
dew in the heat of harvest.
For this is what the LORD has told me: “I will quietly look on from My dwelling place, like
shimmering heat in the
sunshine, like a cloud of
dew in the heat of harvest.”
In that day shall five cities in the land of Egypt speak the language of
Canaan, and
swear to the LORD of hosts; one shall be called, The city of destruction.
In that day five cities in the land of Egypt will speak the language of
Canaan and
swear allegiance to the LORD of Hosts. One of them will be called the City of the
Sun.
Then the moon shall be confounded, and the
sun ashamed, when the LORD of hosts shall reign in mount
Zion, and in Jerusalem, and before his ancients gloriously.
The moon will be confounded and the
sun will be
ashamed; for the LORD of Hosts will reign on Mount
Zion and in Jerusalem, and before His elders with great glory.
In that day shall this song be
sung in the land of Judah; We have a strong city; salvation will God
appoint for walls and bulwarks.
In that day this song will be sung in the land of Judah: We have a strong city; salvation is established as its walls and ramparts.
By this therefore shall the iniquity of Jacob be
purged; and this is all the fruit to take away his sin; when he maketh all the stones of the altar as chalkstones that are beaten in
sunder, the groves and images shall not stand up.
Therefore Jacob’s guilt will be
atoned for, and the full fruit of the removal of his sin will be this: When he makes all the altar stones like
crushed bits of chalk, no Asherah poles or incense altars will remain standing.
Moreover the light of the moon shall be as the light of the
sun, and the light of the
sun shall be
sevenfold, as the light of seven days, in the day that the LORD bindeth up the breach of his people, and healeth the stroke of their wound.
The light of the moon will be as bright as the sun, and the light of the sun will be seven times brighter—like the light of seven days—on the day that the LORD binds up the brokenness of His people and heals the wounds He has inflicted.
Behold, I will bring again the shadow of the degrees, which is gone down in the
sun dial of
Ahaz, ten degrees backward. So the
sun returned ten degrees, by which degrees it was gone down.
I will make the
sun’s shadow that falls on the
stairway of
Ahaz go back ten steps.’” So the
sunlight went back the ten steps it had descended.
I have raised up one from the north, and he shall come: from the rising of the
sun shall he call upon my name: and he shall come upon princes as upon
morter, and as the
potter treadeth clay.
I have raised up one from the north, and he has come— one from the east who calls on My name. He will march over rulers as if they were mortar, like a
potter who treads the clay.
I will go before thee, and make the
crooked places straight: I will break in pieces the gates of brass, and cut in
sunder the bars of iron:
“I will go before you and level the mountains; I will break down the gates of bronze and cut through the bars of iron.
That they may know from the rising of the sun, and from the west, that there is none beside me. I am the LORD, and there is none else.
so that all may know, from where the sun rises to where it sets, that there is none but Me; I am the LORD, and there is no other.
They shall not hunger nor
thirst; neither shall the heat nor
sun smite them: for he that hath mercy on them shall lead them, even by the springs of water shall he guide them.
They will not hunger or
thirst, nor will
scorching heat or
sun beat down on them. For He who has
compassion on them will guide them and lead them beside springs of water.
And the LORD shall guide thee continually, and satisfy thy soul in
drought, and make fat thy bones: and thou shalt be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not.
The LORD will always guide you; He will satisfy you in a
sun-
scorched land and
strengthen your frame. You will be like a well-watered garden, like a spring whose waters never fail.
So shall they fear the name of the LORD from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard against him.
So shall they fear the name of the LORD where the
sun sets, and His glory where it rises. For He will come like a
raging flood, driven by the breath of the LORD.
The
sun shall be no more thy light by day; neither for brightness shall the moon give light unto thee: but the LORD shall be unto thee an
everlasting light, and thy God thy glory.
No longer will the
sun be your light by day, nor the brightness of the moon
shine on your night; for the LORD will be your
everlasting light, and your God will be your
splendor.
Thy
sun shall no more go down; neither shall thy moon withdraw itself: for the LORD shall be thine
everlasting light, and the days of thy
mourning shall be ended.
Your
sun will no longer set, and your moon will not
wane; for the LORD will be your
everlasting light, and the days of your sorrow will cease.
And they shall spread them before the sun, and the moon, and all the host of heaven, whom they have loved, and whom they have served, and after whom they have walked, and whom they have sought, and whom they have worshipped: they shall not be gathered, nor be buried; they shall be for dung upon the face of the earth.
They will be exposed to the sun and moon, and to all the host of heaven which they have loved, served, followed, consulted, and worshiped. Their bones will not be gathered up or buried, but will become like dung lying on the ground.
She that hath borne seven languisheth: she hath given up the ghost; her
sun is gone down while it was yet day: she hath been
ashamed and confounded: and the residue of them will I deliver to the sword before their enemies, saith the LORD.
The mother of seven will grow
faint; she will
breathe her last breath. Her
sun will set while it is still day; she will be disgraced and
humiliated. And the rest I will put to the sword in the presence of their enemies,” declares the LORD.
Thus saith the LORD, which giveth the
sun for a light by day, and the ordinances of the moon and of the stars for a light by night, which divideth the sea when the waves thereof
roar; The LORD of hosts is his name:
Thus says the LORD, who gives the
sun for light by day, who sets in order the moon and stars for light by night, who stirs up the sea so that its waves
roar—the LORD of Hosts is His name:
Then took they Jeremiah, and cast him into the
dungeon of Malchiah the son of Hammelech, that was in the court of the prison: and they let down Jeremiah with cords. And in the
dungeon there was no water, but
mire: so Jeremiah
sunk in the
mire.
So they took Jeremiah and dropped him into the
cistern of Malchiah, the king’s son, which was in the
courtyard of the guard. They lowered Jeremiah with ropes into the
cistern, which had no water but only mud, and Jeremiah
sank down into the mud.
And, behold, all the women that are left in the king of Judah’s house shall be brought forth to the king of Babylon’s princes, and those women shall say, Thy friends have set thee on, and have prevailed against thee: thy feet are
sunk in the
mire, and they are turned away back.
All the women who remain in the palace of the king of Judah will be brought out to the officials of the king of Babylon, and those women will say: ‘They misled you and overcame you— those trusted friends of yours. Your feet
sank into the
mire, and they deserted you.’
He shall break also the images of Beth-shemesh, that is in the land of Egypt; and the houses of the gods of the Egyptians shall he burn with fire.
He will
demolish the sacred pillars of the temple of the
sun in the land of Egypt, and he will burn down the temples of the gods of Egypt.’”
Her gates are sunk into the ground; he hath destroyed and broken her bars: her king and her princes are among the Gentiles: the law is no more; her prophets also find no vision from the LORD.
Her gates have
sunk into the ground; He has destroyed and
shattered their bars. Her king and her princes are exiled among the nations, the law is no more, and even her prophets find no vision from the LORD.
And he brought me into the inner court of the LORD’S house, and, behold, at the door of the temple of the LORD, between the
porch and the altar, were about five and twenty men, with their backs toward the temple of the LORD, and their faces toward the east; and they worshipped the
sun toward the east.
So He brought me to the inner court of the house of the LORD, and there at the entrance to the temple of the LORD, between the
portico and the altar, were about twenty-five men with their backs to the temple of the LORD and their faces toward the east; and they were bowing to the east in worship of the
sun.
And when I shall put thee out, I will cover the heaven, and make the stars thereof dark; I will cover the sun with a cloud, and the moon shall not give her light.
When I
extinguish you, I will cover the heavens and
darken their stars. I will cover the
sun with a cloud, and the moon will not give its light.
Then the king, when he heard these words, was
sore displeased with himself, and set his heart on Daniel to deliver him: and he laboured till the going down of the
sun to deliver him.
As soon as the king heard this, he was deeply distressed and set his mind on delivering Daniel, and he labored until
sundown to
rescue him.
Then shall we know, if we follow on to know the LORD: his going forth is prepared as the morning; and he shall come unto us as the rain, as the latter and former rain unto the earth.
So let us know— let us press on to know the LORD. As surely as the sun rises, He will appear; He will come to us like the rain, like the spring showers that water the earth.
The earth shall
quake before them; the heavens shall
tremble: the
sun and the moon shall be dark, and the stars shall withdraw their
shining:
Before them the earth quakes; the heavens
tremble. The
sun and moon grow dark, and the stars lose their brightness.
The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and the terrible day of the LORD come.
The
sun will be turned to darkness and the moon to blood before the coming of the great and
awesome Day of the LORD.
The
sun and the moon shall be
darkened, and the stars shall withdraw their
shining.
The
sun and moon will grow dark, and the stars will no longer
shine.
And it shall come to pass in that day, saith the Lord GOD, that I will cause the
sun to go down at
noon, and I will
darken the earth in the clear day:
And in that day, declares the Lord GOD, I will make the
sun go down at
noon, and I will
darken the earth in the
daytime.
And it came to pass, when the
sun did arise, that God prepared a
vehement east wind; and the
sun beat upon the head of
Jonah, that he
fainted, and wished in himself to die, and said, It is better for me to die than to live.
As the
sun was rising, God appointed a
scorching east wind, and the
sun beat down on
Jonah’s head so that he grew
faint and wished to die, saying, “It is better for me to die than to live.”
Therefore night shall be unto you, that ye shall not have a vision; and it shall be dark unto you, that ye shall not divine; and the sun shall go down over the prophets, and the day shall be dark over them.
Therefore night will come over you without visions, and darkness without
divination. The
sun will set on these prophets, and the
daylight will turn black over them.
For now will I break his yoke from off thee, and will
burst thy bonds in
sunder.
For I will now break their yoke from your neck and
tear away your
shackles.”
Thy crowned are as the locusts, and thy captains as the great grasshoppers, which camp in the hedges in the cold day, but when the
sun ariseth they
flee away, and their place is not known where they are.
Your guards are like the
swarming locust, and your
scribes like clouds of locusts that settle on the walls on a cold day. When the
sun rises, they fly away, and no one knows where.
And his brightness was as the light; he had horns coming out of his hand: and there was the hiding of his power.
Sun and moon stood still in their places at the
flash of Your flying arrows, at the brightness of Your
shining spear.
For from the rising of the sun even unto the going down of the same my name shall be great among the Gentiles; and in every place incense shall be offered unto my name, and a pure offering: for my name shall be great among the heathen, saith the LORD of hosts.
For My name will be great among the nations, from where the sun rises to where it sets. In every place, incense and pure offerings will be presented in My name, because My name will be great among the nations,” says the LORD of Hosts.
But unto you that fear my name shall the
Sun of righteousness arise with
healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as
calves of the
stall.
“But for you who fear My name, the
sun of righteousness will rise with
healing in its wings, and you will go out and
leap like
calves from the
stall.
That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.
that you may be sons of your Father in heaven. He causes His sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.
And when the
sun was up, they were
scorched; and because they had no root, they
withered away.
But when the
sun rose, the seedlings were
scorched, and they
withered because they had no root.
Then shall the righteous
shine forth as the
sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.
Then the righteous will
shine like the
sun in the kingdom of their Father. He who has ears, let him hear.
There He was
transfigured before them. His face
shone like the
sun, and His clothes became as white as the light.
Immediately after the
tribulation of those days shall the
sun be
darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be
shaken:
Immediately after the
tribulation of those days: ‘The
sun will be
darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from the sky, and the powers of the heavens will be
shaken.’
And when they had
sung an
hymn, they went out into the mount of Olives.
And when they had
sung a
hymn, they went out to the Mount of Olives.
And at even, when the sun did set, they brought unto him all that were diseased, and them that were possessed with devils.
That evening, after
sunset, people brought to Jesus all who were sick and
demon-possessed,
But when the
sun was up, it was
scorched; and because it had no root, it
withered away.
But when the
sun rose, the seedlings were
scorched, and they
withered because they had no root.
But in those days, after that
tribulation, the
sun shall be
darkened, and the moon shall not give her light,
But in those days, after that
tribulation: ‘The
sun will be
darkened, and the moon will not give its light;
And when they had
sung an
hymn, they went out into the mount of Olives.
And when they had
sung a
hymn, they went out to the Mount of Olives.
And very early in the morning the first day of the week, they came unto the
sepulchre at the rising of the
sun.
Very early on the first day of the week, just after
sunrise, they went to the tomb.
Now when the
sun was setting, all they that had any sick with
divers diseases brought them unto him; and he laid his hands on every one of them, and
healed them.
At
sunset, all who were ill with various diseases were brought to Jesus, and laying His hands on each one, He
healed them.
The lord of that servant will come in a day when he looketh not for him, and at an hour when he is not aware, and will cut him in
sunder, and will
appoint him his portion with the unbelievers.
The master of that servant will come on a day he does not expect and at an hour he does not
anticipate. Then he will cut him to pieces and
assign him a place with the unbelievers.
And there shall be signs in the
sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with
perplexity; the sea and the waves
roaring;
There will be signs in the
sun and moon and stars, and on the earth dismay among the nations,
bewildered by the
roaring of the sea and the
surging of the waves.
And the
sun was
darkened, and the
veil of the temple was rent in the midst.
The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before that great and notable day of the Lord come:
The sun will be turned to darkness, and the moon to blood, before the coming of the great and glorious Day of the Lord.
And now, behold, the hand of the Lord is upon thee, and thou shalt be blind, not seeing the
sun for a season. And immediately there fell on him a
mist and a darkness; and he went about seeking some to lead him by the hand.
Now look, the hand of the Lord is against you, and for a time you will be blind and unable to see the light of the
sun.” Immediately
mist and darkness came over him, and he
groped about, seeking someone to lead him by the hand.
And there sat in a window a certain young man named Eutychus, being fallen into a deep sleep: and as Paul was long preaching, he
sunk down with sleep, and fell down from the third
loft, and was taken up dead.
And a certain young man named Eutychus, seated in the window, was sinking into a deep sleep as Paul talked on and on. When he was sound
asleep, he fell from the third story and was
picked up dead.
At
midday, O king, I saw in the way a light from heaven, above the brightness of the
sun,
shining round about me and them which journeyed with me.
About
noon, O king, as I was on the road, I saw a light from heaven, brighter than the
sun,
shining around me and my companions.
And when neither
sun nor stars in many days appeared, and no small
tempest lay on us, all hope that we should be saved was then taken away.
When neither
sun nor stars appeared for many days and the great storm continued to
batter us, we abandoned all hope of being saved.
There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars: for one star differeth from another star in glory.
The
sun has one degree of
splendor, the moon another, and the stars another; and star differs from star in
splendor.
Be ye
angry, and sin not: let not the
sun go down upon your wrath:
“Be
angry, yet do not sin.” Do not let the
sun set upon your anger,
God, who at
sundry times and in
divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,
On many past occasions and in many different ways, God spoke to our fathers through the prophets.
For the
sun is no sooner risen with a burning heat, but it withereth the grass, and the flower thereof falleth, and the grace of the fashion of it perisheth: so also shall the rich man
fade away in his ways.
For the
sun rises with
scorching heat and
withers the plant; its flower falls and its beauty is lost. So too, the rich man will
fade away in the midst of his pursuits.
And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp
twoedged sword: and his countenance was as the
sun shineth in his strength.
He held in His right hand seven stars, and a sharp double-edged sword came from His mouth. His face was like the
sun shining at its brightest.
And they
sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou
wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation;
And they
sang a new song: “Worthy are You to take the
scroll and open its seals, because You were slain, and by Your blood You purchased for God those from every tribe and tongue and people and nation.
And I
beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great
earthquake; and the
sun became black as
sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood;
And when I saw the Lamb open the sixth seal, there was a great
earthquake, and the
sun became black like
sackcloth of goat hair, and the whole moon turned blood red,
They shall hunger no more, neither
thirst any more; neither shall the
sun light on them, nor any heat.
‘Never again will they hunger, and never will they
thirst; nor will the
sun beat down upon them, nor any
scorching heat.’
And the fourth angel sounded, and the third part of the
sun was
smitten, and the third part of the moon, and the third part of the stars; so as the third part of them was
darkened, and the day
shone not for a third part of it, and the night likewise.
Then the fourth angel sounded his
trumpet, and a third of the
sun and moon and stars were struck. A third of the stars were
darkened, a third of the day was without light, and a third of the night as well.
And he opened the bottomless pit; and there arose a smoke out of the pit, as the smoke of a great furnace; and the
sun and the air were
darkened by reason of the smoke of the pit.
The star opened the pit of the
Abyss, and smoke rose out of it like the smoke of a great furnace, and the
sun and the air were
darkened by the smoke from the pit.
And I saw another mighty angel come down from heaven, clothed with a cloud: and a
rainbow was upon his head, and his face was as it were the
sun, and his feet as pillars of fire:
Then I saw another mighty angel coming down from heaven,
wrapped in a cloud, with a
rainbow above his head. His face was like the
sun, and his legs were like pillars of fire.
And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars:
And a great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed in the sun, with the moon under her feet and a crown of twelve stars on her head.
And they sung as it were a new song before the throne, and before the four beasts, and the elders: and no man could learn that song but the hundred and forty and four thousand, which were redeemed from the earth.
And they
sang a new song before the throne and before the four living creatures and the elders. And no one could learn the song except the 144,000 who had been redeemed from the earth.
And the fourth angel poured out his
vial upon the
sun; and power was given unto him to
scorch men with fire.
Then the fourth angel poured out his
bowl on the
sun, and it was given power to
scorch the people with fire.
And I saw an angel standing in the
sun; and he
cried with a loud voice, saying to all the fowls that fly in the midst of heaven, Come and gather
yourselves together unto the
supper of the great God;
Then I saw an angel standing in the
sun, and he
cried out in a loud voice to all the birds flying overhead, “Come, gather together for the great
supper of God,
And the city had no need of the
sun, neither of the moon, to
shine in it: for the glory of God did
lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.
And the city has no need of
sun or moon to
shine on it, because the glory of God illuminates the city, and the Lamb is its lamp.
And there shall be no night there; and they need no
candle, neither light of the
sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever.
There will be no more night in the city, and they will have no need for the light of a lamp or of the
sun. For the Lord God will
shine on them, and they will reign
forever and ever.
O ye men, are not women strong? great is the earth, high is the heaven, swift is the sun in his course, for he compasseth the heavens round about, and fetcheth his course again to his own place in one day.
