And Aaron placed it in front of the Testimony, to be preserved just as the LORD had commanded Moses.
And thou shalt put into the ark the testimony which I shall give thee.
And place inside the ark the Testimony, which I will give you.
And thou shalt put the mercy seat above upon the ark; and in the ark thou shalt put the testimony that I shall give thee.
Set the mercy seat
atop the ark, and put the
Testimony that I will give you into the ark.
And there I will meet with thee, and I will commune with thee from above the mercy seat, from between the two cherubims which are upon the ark of the testimony, of all things which I will give thee in commandment unto the children of Israel.
And I will meet with you there above the mercy seat, between the two
cherubim that are over the ark of the
Testimony; I will speak with you about all that I command you regarding the Israelites.
And thou shalt
hang up the
vail under the taches, that thou mayest bring in thither within the
vail the ark of the
testimony: and the
vail shall divide unto you between the holy place and the most holy.
And
hang the
veil from the clasps and place the ark of the
Testimony behind the
veil. So the
veil will separate the Holy Place from the Most Holy Place.
And thou shalt put the mercy seat upon the ark of the testimony in the most holy place.
Put the mercy seat on the ark of the Testimony in the Most Holy Place.
In the tabernacle of the congregation without the
vail, which is before the
testimony, Aaron and his sons shall order it from evening to morning before the LORD: it shall be a statute for ever unto their generations on the behalf of the children of Israel.
In the Tent of Meeting, outside the
veil that is in front of the
Testimony, Aaron and his sons are to tend the lamps before the LORD from evening until morning. This is to be a permanent statute for the Israelites for the generations to come.
And thou shalt put it before the
vail that is by the ark of the
testimony, before the mercy seat that is over the
testimony, where I will meet with thee.
Place the altar in front of the
veil that is before the ark of the
Testimony—before the mercy seat that is over the
Testimony—where I will meet with you.
And thou shalt
anoint the tabernacle of the congregation
therewith, and the ark of the
testimony,
Use this oil to
anoint the Tent of Meeting, the ark of the
Testimony,
And thou shalt beat some of it very small, and put of it before the testimony in the tabernacle of the congregation, where I will meet with thee: it shall be unto you most holy.
Grind some of it into fine powder and place it in front of the
Testimony in the Tent of Meeting, where I will meet with you. It shall be most holy to you.
The tabernacle of the congregation, and the ark of the
testimony, and the mercy seat that is
thereupon, and all the furniture of the tabernacle,
the Tent of Meeting, the ark of the Testimony and the mercy seat upon it, and all the other furnishings of the tent—
And he gave unto Moses, when he had made an end of communing with him upon mount
Sinai, two tables of
testimony, tables of stone, written with the finger of God.
When the LORD had finished speaking with Moses on Mount
Sinai, He gave him the two tablets of the
Testimony, tablets of stone inscribed by the finger of God.
And Moses turned, and went down from the mount, and the two tables of the testimony were in his hand: the tables were written on both their sides; on the one side and on the other were they written.
Then Moses turned and went down the mountain with the two tablets of the Testimony in his hands. They were inscribed on both sides, front and back.
And it came to pass, when Moses came down from mount
Sinai with the two tables of
testimony in Moses’ hand, when he came down from the mount, that Moses
wist not that the skin of his face
shone while he talked with him.
And when Moses came down from Mount
Sinai with the two tablets of the
Testimony in his hands, he was unaware that his face had become
radiant from speaking with the LORD.
This is the sum of the tabernacle, even of the tabernacle of
testimony, as it was counted, according to the commandment of Moses, for the service of the Levites, by the hand of
Ithamar, son to Aaron the priest.
This is the
inventory for the tabernacle, the tabernacle of the
Testimony, as recorded at Moses’ command by the Levites under the direction of
Ithamar son of Aaron the priest.
The ark of the
testimony, and the
staves thereof, and the mercy seat,
the ark of the Testimony with its poles and the mercy seat;
And thou shalt put therein the ark of the
testimony, and cover the ark with the
vail.
Put the ark of the
Testimony in it and screen off the ark with the
veil.
And thou shalt set the altar of gold for the incense before the ark of the testimony, and put the hanging of the door to the tabernacle.
Place the gold altar of incense in front of the ark of the
Testimony, and
hang the
curtain at the entrance to the tabernacle.
And he took and put the
testimony into the ark, and set the
staves on the ark, and put the mercy seat above upon the ark:
Moses took the
Testimony and placed it in the ark,
attaching the poles to the ark; and he set the mercy seat
atop the ark.
And he brought the ark into the tabernacle, and set up the
vail of the covering, and covered the ark of the
testimony; as the LORD commanded Moses.
Then he brought the ark into the tabernacle, put up the
veil for the screen, and shielded off the ark of the
Testimony, just as the LORD had commanded him.
And he shall put the incense upon the fire before the LORD, that the cloud of the incense may cover the mercy seat that is upon the testimony, that he die not:
He is to put the incense on the fire before the LORD, and the cloud of incense will cover the mercy seat above the Testimony, so that he will not die.
Without the
vail of the
testimony, in the tabernacle of the congregation, shall Aaron order it from the evening unto the morning before the LORD continually: it shall be a statute for ever in your generations.
Outside the
veil of the
Testimony in the Tent of Meeting, Aaron is to tend the lamps continually before the LORD from evening until morning. This is to be a permanent statute for the generations to come.
But thou shalt
appoint the Levites over the tabernacle of
testimony, and over all the vessels thereof, and over all things that belong to it: they shall bear the tabernacle, and all the vessels thereof; and they shall minister unto it, and shall
encamp round about the tabernacle.
Instead, you are to
appoint the Levites over the tabernacle of the
Testimony, all its furnishings, and everything in it. They shall carry the tabernacle and all its articles, care for it, and camp around it.
But the Levites shall pitch round about the tabernacle of testimony, that there be no wrath upon the congregation of the children of Israel: and the Levites shall keep the charge of the tabernacle of testimony.
But the Levites are to camp around the tabernacle of the Testimony and watch over it, so that no wrath will fall on the congregation of Israel. So the Levites are responsible for the tabernacle of the Testimony.”
And when the camp setteth forward, Aaron shall come, and his sons, and they shall take down the covering
vail, and cover the ark of
testimony with it:
Whenever the camp sets out, Aaron and his sons are to go in, take down the
veil of the
curtain, and cover the ark of the
Testimony with it.
And when Moses was gone into the tabernacle of the congregation to speak with him, then he heard the voice of one speaking unto him from off the mercy seat that was upon the ark of testimony, from between the two cherubims: and he spake unto him.
When Moses entered the Tent of Meeting to speak with the LORD, he heard the voice speaking to him from between the two
cherubim above the mercy seat on the ark of the
Testimony. Thus the LORD spoke to him.
And on the day that the tabernacle was reared up the cloud covered the tabernacle, namely, the tent of the testimony: and at even there was upon the tabernacle as it were the appearance of fire, until the morning.

And it came to pass on the
twentieth day of the second month, in the second year, that the cloud was taken up from off the tabernacle of the
testimony.

And Moses laid up the rods before the LORD in the tabernacle of witness.
Then Moses placed the staffs before the LORD in the Tent of the Testimony.
And it came to pass, that on the
morrow Moses went into the tabernacle of witness; and, behold, the rod of Aaron for the house of Levi was
budded, and brought forth buds, and
bloomed blossoms, and yielded almonds.
The next day Moses entered the Tent of the
Testimony and saw that Aaron’s staff, representing the house of Levi, had
sprouted, put forth buds,
blossomed, and produced almonds.
And the LORD said unto Moses, Bring Aaron’s rod again before the
testimony, to be kept for a
token against the rebels; and thou shalt quite take away their murmurings from me, that they die not.
The LORD said to Moses, “Put Aaron’s staff back in front of the
Testimony, to be kept as a sign for the
rebellious, so that you may put an end to their
grumbling against Me, lest they die.”
And thy brethren also of the tribe of Levi, the tribe of thy father, bring thou with thee, that they may be joined unto thee, and minister unto thee: but thou and thy sons with thee shall minister before the tabernacle of witness.
But bring with you also your brothers from the tribe of Levi, the tribe of your father, that they may join you and assist you and your sons before the Tent of the Testimony.
Whoso killeth any person, the murderer shall be put to death by the mouth of witnesses: but one witness shall not
testify against any person to cause him to die.
If
anyone kills a person, the murderer is to be put to death on the
testimony of the witnesses. But no one is to be put to death based on the
testimony of a
lone witness.
At the mouth of two witnesses, or three witnesses, shall he that is worthy of death be put to death; but at the mouth of one witness he shall not be put to death.
On the
testimony of two or three witnesses a man shall be put to death, but he shall not be executed on the
testimony of a
lone witness.
One witness shall not rise up against a man for any iniquity, or for any sin, in any sin that he sinneth: at the mouth of two witnesses, or at the mouth of three witnesses, shall the matter be established.
A
lone witness is not sufficient to establish any
wrongdoing or sin against a man, regardless of what
offense he may have committed. A matter must be established by the
testimony of two or three witnesses.
Command the priests that bear the ark of the testimony, that they come up out of Jordan.
“Command the priests who carry the ark of the Testimony to come up from the Jordan.”
Now this was the manner in former time in Israel concerning
redeeming and concerning changing, for to
confirm all things; a man
plucked off his
shoe, and gave it to his neighbour: and this was a
testimony in Israel.
Now in former times in Israel, concerning the
redemption or exchange of property, to make any matter legally binding a man would remove his
sandal and give it to the other party, and this was a
confirmation in Israel.
And he brought forth the king’s son, and put the crown upon him, and gave him the
testimony; and they made him king, and
anointed him; and they
clapped their hands, and said, God save the king.
Then Jehoiada brought out the king’s son, put the crown on him, presented him with the
Testimony, and proclaimed him king. They
anointed him, and the people
clapped their hands and declared, “Long live the king!”
Then they brought out the king’s son, and put upon him the crown, and gave him the
testimony, and made him king. And Jehoiada and his sons
anointed him, and said, God save the king.
Then Jehoiada and his sons brought out the king’s son, put the crown on him, presented him with the
Testimony, and proclaimed him king. They
anointed him and
shouted, “Long live the king!”
And the king called for Jehoiada the chief, and said unto him, Why hast thou not required of the Levites to bring in out of Judah and out of Jerusalem the collection, according to the commandment of Moses the servant of the LORD, and of the congregation of Israel, for the tabernacle of witness?
So the king called Jehoiada the high priest and said, “Why have you not required the Levites to bring from Judah and Jerusalem the tax imposed by Moses the servant of the LORD and by the assembly of Israel for the Tent of the Testimony?”
The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple.
The Law of the LORD is perfect,
reviving the soul; the
testimony of the LORD is
trustworthy, making wise the simple.
For he established a testimony in Jacob, and appointed a law in Israel, which he commanded our fathers, that they should make them known to their children:

This he ordained in Joseph for a testimony, when he went out through the land of Egypt: where I heard a language that I understood not.
He ordained it as a testimony for Joseph when he went out over the land of Egypt, where I heard an unfamiliar language:

testimony of thy mouth.
Revive me according to Your loving devotion, that I may obey the testimony of Your mouth.
Whither the tribes go up, the tribes of the LORD, unto the
testimony of Israel, to give
thanks unto the name of the LORD.
where the tribes go up, the tribes of the LORD, as a
testimony for Israel, to give
thanks to the name of the LORD.
If thy children will keep my covenant and my
testimony that I shall teach them, their children shall also sit upon thy throne for
evermore.
If your sons keep My covenant and the
testimony I will teach them, then their sons will also sit on your throne
forever and ever.”
A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.
a false witness who gives false testimony, and one who stirs up discord among brothers.
Bind up the testimony, seal the law among my disciples.
Bind up the testimony and seal the law among my disciples.
To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.
To the law and to the
testimony! If they do not speak according to this word, they have no light of
dawn.
And Jesus saith unto him, See thou tell no man; but go thy way,
shew thyself to the priest, and offer the gift that Moses commanded, for a
testimony unto them.
Then Jesus
instructed him, “See that you don’t tell
anyone. But go, show
yourself to the priest and offer the gift prescribed by Moses, as a
testimony to them.”
And ye shall be brought before governors and kings for my sake, for a testimony against them and the Gentiles.
On My account, you will be brought before governors and kings as witnesses to them and to the Gentiles.
For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders,
adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies:
For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murder,
adultery, sexual immorality,
theft, false
testimony, and
slander.
But if he will not hear thee, then take with thee one or two more, that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established.
But if he will not
listen, take one or two others along, so that ‘every matter may be established by the
testimony of two or three witnesses.’
And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.
And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.
Now the chief priests, and elders, and all the council, sought false witness against Jesus, to put him to death;
Now the chief priests and the whole
Sanhedrin were seeking false
testimony against Jesus in order to put Him to death.
And saith unto him, See thou say nothing to any man: but go thy way,
shew thyself to the priest, and offer for thy
cleansing those things which Moses commanded, for a
testimony unto them.
“See that you don’t tell
anyone. But go, show
yourself to the priest and present the offering Moses prescribed for your
cleansing, as a
testimony to them.”
And
whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear you, when ye depart thence,
shake off the dust under your feet for a
testimony against them.
Verily I say unto you, It shall be more
tolerable for
Sodom and Gomorrha in the day of judgment, than for that city.
If
anyone will not
welcome you or
listen to you,
shake the dust off your feet when you leave that place, as a
testimony against them.”
But take
heed to
yourselves: for they shall deliver you up to councils; and in the synagogues ye shall be beaten: and ye shall be brought before rulers and kings for my sake, for a
testimony against them.
So be on your guard. You will be delivered over to the councils and beaten in the synagogues. On My account you will stand before governors and kings as witnesses to them.
And the chief priests and all the council sought for witness against Jesus to put him to death; and found none.
Now the chief priests and the whole
Sanhedrin were seeking
testimony against Jesus to put Him to death, but they did not find any.
For many bare false witness against him, but their witness agreed not together.
For many bore false witness against Jesus, but their testimony was inconsistent.
But neither so did their witness agree together.
But even their testimony was inconsistent.
And he charged him to tell no man: but go, and
shew thyself to the priest, and offer for thy
cleansing, according as Moses commanded, for a
testimony unto them.
“Do not tell
anyone,” Jesus
instructed him. “But go, show
yourself to the priest and present the offering Moses prescribed for your
cleansing, as a
testimony to them.”
And
whosoever will not receive you, when ye go out of that city,
shake off the very dust from your feet for a
testimony against them.
If
anyone does not
welcome you,
shake the dust off your feet when you leave that town, as a
testimony against them.”
Even the very dust of your city, which cleaveth on us, we do
wipe off against you: notwithstanding be ye sure of this, that the kingdom of God is come
nigh unto you.
‘Even the dust of your town that clings to our feet, we
wipe off as a
testimony against you. Yet be sure of this: The kingdom of God is near.’
And it shall turn to you for a testimony.
This will be your opportunity to serve as witnesses.

Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother, was one of the two who heard John’s testimony and followed Jesus.
And needed not that any should
testify of man: for he knew what was in man.
He did not need any testimony about man, for He knew what was in a man.
Verily,
verily, I say unto thee, We speak that we do know, and
testify that we have seen; and ye receive not our witness.
Truly, truly, I tell you, we speak of what we know, and we
testify to what we have seen, and yet you people do not accept our
testimony.
And what he hath seen and heard, that he testifieth; and no man receiveth his testimony.
He testifies to what He has seen and heard, yet no one accepts His testimony.
He that hath received his testimony hath set to his seal that God is true.
And many of the
Samaritans of that city believed on him for the saying of the woman, which
testified, He told me all that ever I did.
Many of the
Samaritans from that town believed in Jesus because of the woman’s
testimony, “He told me everything I ever did.”
If I bear witness of myself, my witness is not true.
There is another that beareth witness of me; and I know that the witness which he witnesseth of me is true.
There is another who testifies about Me, and I know that His
testimony about Me is
valid.
But I receive not testimony from man: but these things I say, that ye might be saved.
Even though I do not accept human testimony, I say these things so that you may be saved.
But I have greater witness than that of John: for the works which the Father hath given me to finish, the same works that I do, bear witness of me, that the Father hath sent me.
But I have
testimony more substantial than that of John. For the works that the Father has given Me to
accomplish—the very works I am doing—
testify about Me that the Father has sent Me.
The
Pharisees therefore said unto him, Thou bearest record of
thyself; thy record is not true.
Jesus answered and said unto them, Though I bear record of myself, yet my record is true: for I know whence I came, and
whither I go; but ye cannot tell whence I come, and
whither I go.
Jesus replied, “Even if I
testify about Myself, My
testimony is
valid, because I know where I came from and where I am going. But you do not know where I came from or where I am going.
It is also written in your law, that the testimony of two men is true.
Even in your own Law it is written that the
testimony of two men is
valid.
And he that saw it bare record, and his record is true: and he knoweth that he saith true, that ye might believe.
The one who saw it has
testified to this, and his
testimony is true. He knows that he is telling the truth, so that you also may believe.
This is the disciple which testifieth of these things, and wrote these things: and we know that his testimony is true.
This is the disciple who testifies to these things and who has written them down. And we know that his testimony is true.
And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all.
With great power the apostles continued to give their testimony about the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. And abundant grace was upon them all.
Our fathers had the tabernacle of witness in the wilderness, as he had appointed, speaking unto Moses, that he should make it according to the fashion that he had seen.

And when he had removed him, he raised up unto them David to be their king; to whom also he gave
testimony, and said, I have found David the son of
Jesse, a man after mine own heart, which shall fulfil all my will.
After removing Saul, He raised up David as their king and
testified about him: ‘I have found David son of
Jesse a man after My own heart; he will carry out My will in its
entirety.’
Long time therefore abode they speaking boldly in the Lord, which gave testimony unto the word of his grace, and granted signs and wonders to be done by their hands.
So Paul and
Barnabas spent considerable time there, speaking boldly for the Lord, who
affirmed the message of His grace by enabling them to perform signs and wonders.
Nevertheless he left not himself without witness, in that he did good, and gave us rain from heaven, and fruitful seasons, filling our hearts with food and
gladness.
Yet He has not left Himself without
testimony to His goodness: He gives you rain from heaven and fruitful seasons, filling your hearts with food and
gladness.”
And saw him saying unto me, Make
haste, and get thee quickly out of Jerusalem: for they will not receive thy
testimony concerning me.
and saw the Lord saying to me, ‘
Hurry! Leave Jerusalem quickly, because the people here will not accept your
testimony about Me.’
Even as the testimony of Christ was confirmed in you:
because our testimony about Christ was confirmed in you.
And I, brethren, when I came to you, came not with
excellency of speech or of wisdom, declaring unto you the
testimony of God.
When I came to you, brothers, I did not come with eloquence or wisdom as I proclaimed to you the testimony about God.
For our
rejoicing is this, the
testimony of our conscience, that in simplicity and godly
sincerity, not with fleshly wisdom, but by the grace of God, we have had our conversation in the world, and more abundantly to you-ward.
And this is our
boast: Our conscience testifies that we have conducted ourselves in the world, and especially in relation to you, in the
holiness and
sincerity that are from God—not in worldly wisdom, but in the grace of God.
This is the third time I am coming to you. In the mouth of two or three witnesses shall every word be established.
This is the third time I am coming to you. “Every matter must be established by the testimony of two or three witnesses.”
When he shall come to be
glorified in his saints, and to be
admired in all them that believe (because our
testimony among you was believed) in that day.
on the day He comes to be
glorified in His saints and regarded with wonder by all who have believed, including you who have believed our
testimony.
who gave Himself as a
ransom for all—the
testimony that was given at just the right time.
Against an elder receive not an
accusation, but before two or three witnesses.
Do not
entertain an
accusation against an elder, except on the
testimony of two or three witnesses.
I give thee charge in the sight of God, who quickeneth all things, and before Christ Jesus, who before Pontius
Pilate witnessed a good confession;
I charge you in the presence of God, who gives life to all things, and of Christ Jesus, who made the good confession in His
testimony before Pontius
Pilate:
Be not thou therefore
ashamed of the
testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be thou
partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God;
So do not be
ashamed of the
testimony of our Lord, or of me, His prisoner. Instead, join me in suffering for the gospel by the power of God.
This witness is true. Wherefore
rebuke them sharply, that they may be sound in the faith;
This
testimony is true. Therefore
rebuke them sternly, so that they will be sound in the faith
And Moses
verily was faithful in all his house, as a servant, for a
testimony of those things which were to be spoken after;
Now Moses was faithful as a servant in all God’s house,
testifying to what would be spoken later.
