Timothy, my fellow worker, sends you greetings, as do
Lucius,
Jason, and Sosipater, my fellow countrymen.
For this cause have I sent unto you
Timotheus, who is my beloved son, and faithful in the Lord, who shall bring you into
remembrance of my ways which be in Christ, as I teach every where in every church.
That is why I have sent you
Timothy, my beloved and faithful child in the Lord. He will remind you of my way of life in Christ Jesus, which is exactly what I teach everywhere in every church.
Now if Timotheus come, see that he may be with you without fear: for he worketh the work of the Lord, as I also do.

For the Son of God, Jesus Christ, who was preached among you by us, even by me and
Silvanus and
Timotheus, was not
yea and
nay, but in him was
yea.
For the Son of God, Jesus Christ, who was proclaimed among you by me and
Silvanus and
Timothy, was not “
Yes” and “No,” but in Him it has always been “
Yes.”

But I trust in the Lord Jesus to send Timotheus shortly unto you, that I also may be of good comfort, when I know your state.

Timothy to you soon, that I also may be
cheered when I learn how you are doing.

Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God, and

Timotheus came from you unto us, and brought us good
tidings of your faith and charity, and that ye have good
remembrance of us always, desiring greatly to see us, as we also to see you:

memories you have preserved, longing to see us just as we long to see you.

After these things gathered
Timotheus another host and
encamped against Raphon beyond the
brook.
Then
Timotheus said unto the captains of his host, When
Judas and his host come near the
brook, if he pass over first unto us, we shall not be able to
withstand him; for he will
mightily prevail against us:
Moreover of those that were with
Timotheus and Bacchides, who fought against them, they

Moreover
Timotheus himself fell into the hands of Dositheus and Sosipater, whom he
besought with much craft to let him go with his life, because he had many of the Jews’ parents, and the brethren of some of them, who, if they put him to death, should not be regarded.
