contrary unto me, and will not
hearken unto me; I will bring seven times more plagues upon you according to your sins.

And if ye will not be reformed by me by these things, but will walk contrary unto me;
And if in spite of these things you do not accept My discipline, but continue to walk in hostility toward Me,
Then will I also walk
contrary unto you, and will
punish you yet seven times for your sins.
then I will act with hostility toward you, and I will strike you
sevenfold for your sins.

wert cut out of the olive tree which is wild by nature, and
wert graffed
contrary to nature into a good olive tree: how much more shall these, which be the natural branches, be graffed into their own olive tree?

contrary to nature were
grafted into one that is cultivated, how much more readily will these, the natural branches, be
grafted into their own olive tree!
