But
whoso hath this world’s good, and
seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his
bowels of
compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of
God in him?
If
anyone with earthly possessions sees his brother in need, but withholds his
compassion from him, how can the love of
God abide in him?
For if our heart
condemn us,
God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things.
Even if our hearts
condemn us,
God is greater than our hearts, and He knows all things.
Beloved, if our heart
condemn us not, then have we confidence toward
God.
Beloved, if our hearts do not
condemn us, we have confidence before
God,
And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And
hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us.
Whoever keeps His commandments remains in
God, and
God in him. And by this we know that He remains in us: by the Spirit He has given us.
Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.
Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God. For many false prophets have gone out into the world.
Hereby know ye the Spirit of
God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of
God:
By this you will know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God,
And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of
God: and this is that spirit of
antichrist,
whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.
and every spirit that does not
confess Jesus is not from
God. This is the spirit of the
antichrist, which you have heard is coming and which is already in the world at this time.
Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
You, little children, are from God and have overcome them, because greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world.
We are of
God: he that knoweth
God heareth us; he that is not of
God heareth not us.
Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.
We are from
God.
Whoever knows
God listens to us;
whoever is not from
God does not
listen to us. That is how we know the Spirit of truth and the spirit of
deception.
Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.
Beloved, let us love one another, because love comes from
God.
Everyone who loves has been born of
God and knows
God.
He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.
Whoever does not love does not know
God, because
God is love.
In this was manifested the love of
God toward us, because that
God sent his only
begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.
This is how God’s love was revealed among us: God sent His one and only Son into the world, so that we might live through Him.
Herein is love, not that we loved
God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the
propitiation for our sins.
And love consists in this: not that we loved
God, but that He loved us and sent His Son as the
atoning sacrifice for our sins.
Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.
Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.
No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us.
No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God remains in us, and His love is perfected in us.
Whosoever shall
confess that Jesus is the Son of
God,
God dwelleth in him, and he in
God.
If
anyone confesses that Jesus is the Son of
God,
God abides in him, and he in
God.
And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.
And we have come to know and believe the love that
God has for us.
God is love;
whoever abides in love abides in
God, and
God in him.
If a man say, I love
God, and hateth his brother, he is a
liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love
God whom he hath not seen?
If
anyone says, “I love
God,” but hates his brother, he is a
liar. For
anyone who does not love his brother, whom he has seen, cannot love
God, whom he has not seen.
And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also.
And we have this commandment from Him:
Whoever loves
God must love his brother as well.
Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of
God: and every one that loveth him that
begat loveth him also that is
begotten of him.
Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ has been born of
God, and
everyone who loves the Father also loves those born of Him.
By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments.
By this we know that we love the children of God: when we love God and keep His commandments.
For this is the love of
God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not
grievous.
For this is the love of
God, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not
burdensome,
For
whatsoever is born of
God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.
because
everyone born of
God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world: our faith.
Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?
Who then overcomes the world? Only he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God.
If we receive the witness of men, the witness of
God is greater: for this is the witness of
God which he hath
testified of his Son.
Even if we accept human testimony, the testimony of God is greater. For this is the testimony that God has given about His Son.
He that believeth on the Son of
God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not
God hath made him a
liar; because he believeth not the record that
God gave of his Son.
Whoever believes in the Son of
God has this testimony within him;
whoever does not believe
God has made Him out to be a
liar, because he has not believed in the testimony that
God has given about His Son.
And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.
And this is that testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son.
He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.
Whoever has the Son has life;
whoever does not have the Son of
God does not have life.
These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.
I have written these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, so that you may know that you have eternal life.
If any man see his brother sin a sin which is not unto death, he shall ask, and he shall give him life for them that sin not unto death. There is a sin unto death: I do not say that he shall pray for it.
If
anyone sees his brother
committing a sin not leading to death, he should ask
God, who will give life to those who commit this kind of sin. There is a sin that leads to death; I am not saying he should ask regarding that sin.
We know that
whosoever is born of
God sinneth not; but he that is
begotten of
God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not.
We know that
anyone born of
God does not keep on
sinning; the One who was born of
God protects him, and the evil one cannot touch him.
And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness.
We know that we are of God, and that the whole world is under the power of the evil one.
And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.
And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding, so that we may know Him who is true; and we are in Him who is true—in His Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life.
Grace be with you, mercy, and peace, from God the Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in truth and love.
Grace, mercy, and peace from God the Father and from Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, will be with us in truth and love.
Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not
God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.
Anyone who runs
ahead without remaining in the teaching of Christ does not have
God.
Whoever remains in His teaching has both the Father and the Son.
If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither
bid him
God speed:
If
anyone comes to you but does not bring this teaching, do not receive him into your home or even
greet him.
For he that biddeth him
God speed is
partaker of his evil deeds.
Whoever greets such a person shares in his evil deeds.
Which have borne witness of thy charity before the church: whom if thou bring forward on their journey after a godly sort, thou shalt do well:
They have
testified to the church about your love. You will do well to send them on their way in a manner worthy of
God.
Beloved, follow not that which is evil, but that which is good. He that doeth good is of God: but he that doeth evil hath not seen God.
Beloved, do not
imitate what is evil, but what is good. The one who does good is of
God; the one who does evil has not seen
God.
Jude, the servant of Jesus Christ, and brother of James, to them that are
sanctified by
God the Father, and preserved in Jesus Christ, and called:
Jude, a servant of Jesus Christ and a brother of James, To those who are called, loved by
God the Father, and kept in Jesus Christ:
For there are certain men
crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this
condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our
God into
lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord
God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.
For certain men have
crept in among you unnoticed—ungodly ones who were designated long ago for
condemnation. They turn the grace of our
God into a
license for immorality, and they deny our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ.
Keep
yourselves in the love of
God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.
keep
yourselves in the love of
God as you
await the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to bring you eternal life.
To the only wise
God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever.
Amen.
to the only
God our
Savior be glory, majesty, dominion, and authority through Jesus Christ our Lord before all time, and now, and for all
eternity.
Amen.
The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which
God gave unto him, to
shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and
signified it by his angel unto his servant John:
This is the revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave Him to show His servants what must soon come to pass. He made it known by sending His angel to His servant John,
Who bare record of the word of God, and of the testimony of Jesus Christ, and of all things that he saw.
who testifies to everything he saw. This is the word of God and the testimony of Jesus Christ.
And hath made us kings and priests unto
God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever.
Amen.
who has made us to be a kingdom, priests to His
God and Father—to Him be the glory and power
forever and ever!
Amen.
I am
Alpha and
Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the
Almighty.
“I am the
Alpha and the
Omega,” says the Lord
God, who is and was and is to come—the
Almighty.
I John, who also am your brother, and companion in
tribulation, and in the kingdom and
patience of Jesus Christ, was in the isle that is called
Patmos, for the word of
God, and for the testimony of Jesus Christ.
I, John, your brother and
partner in the
tribulation and kingdom and
perseverance that are in Jesus, was on the island of
Patmos because of the word of
God and my testimony about Jesus.
He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the
paradise of
God.
He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To the one who overcomes, I will grant the right to eat from the tree of life in the
Paradise of
God.
And unto the angel of the church in
Thyatira write; These things saith the Son of
God, who hath his eyes like unto a flame of fire, and his feet are like fine brass;
To the angel of the church in
Thyatira write: These are the words of the Son of
God, whose eyes are like a
blazing fire and whose feet are like polished bronze.
And unto the angel of the church in
Sardis write; These things saith he that hath the seven Spirits of
God, and the seven stars; I know thy works, that thou hast a name that thou livest, and art dead.
“To the angel of the church in
Sardis write: These are the words of the One who holds the seven Spirits of
God and the seven stars. I know your deeds; you have a reputation for being alive, yet you are dead.
Be watchful, and
strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die: for I have not found thy works perfect before
God.
Wake up and
strengthen what remains, which was about to die; for I have found your deeds incomplete in the sight of My
God.
Him that overcometh will I make a
pillar in the temple of my
God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my
God, and the name of the city of my
God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my
God: and I will write upon him my new name.
The one who overcomes I will make a
pillar in the temple of My
God, and he will never again leave it. Upon him I will write the name of My
God, and the name of the city of My
God (the new Jerusalem that comes down out of heaven from My
God), and My new name.
And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the
Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of
God;
To the angel of the church in
Laodicea write: These are the words of the
Amen, the faithful and true Witness, the
Originator of
God’s creation.
And out of the throne proceeded lightnings and thunderings and voices: and there were seven lamps of fire burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God.
From the throne came
flashes of
lightning, and rumblings, and peals of
thunder. Before the throne burned seven torches of fire. These are the seven Spirits of
God.
And the four beasts had each of them six wings about him; and they were full of eyes within: and they rest not day and night, saying, Holy, holy, holy, Lord
God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come.
And each of the four living creatures had six wings and was covered with eyes all around and within. Day and night they never stop saying: “Holy, Holy, Holy, is the Lord
God Almighty, who was and is and is to come!”
Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.
“Worthy are You, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for You created all things; by Your will they exist and came to be.”
And I
beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of
God sent forth into all the earth.
Then I saw a Lamb who appeared to have been slain, standing in the center of the throne,
encircled by the four living creatures and the elders. The Lamb had seven horns and seven eyes, which represent the seven Spirits of
God sent out into all the earth.
And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou
wast slain, and hast redeemed us to
God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation;
And they
sang a new song: “Worthy are You to take the
scroll and open its seals, because You were slain, and by Your blood You purchased for
God those from every tribe and tongue and people and nation.
And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.
You have made them to be a kingdom and priests to serve our God, and they will reign upon the earth.”
And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held:
And when the Lamb opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those who had been slain for the word of
God and for the testimony they had
upheld.
And I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living
God: and he
cried with a loud voice to the four angels, to whom it was given to
hurt the earth and the sea,
And I saw another angel ascending from the east, with the seal of the living
God. And he called out in a loud voice to the four angels who had been given power to
harm the land and the sea:
Saying,
Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our
God in their foreheads.
“Do not
harm the land or sea or trees until we have sealed the foreheads of the servants of our
God.”
And
cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our
God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb.
And they
cried out in a loud voice: “Salvation to our
God, who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!”
And all the angels stood round about the throne, and about the elders and the four beasts, and fell before the throne on their faces, and worshipped God,
And all the angels stood around the throne and around the elders and the four living creatures. And they fell facedown before the throne and worshiped God,
Saying,
Amen: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and
thanksgiving, and honour, and power, and might, be unto our
God for ever and ever.
Amen.
saying, “
Amen! Blessing and glory and wisdom and
thanks and honor and power and strength be to our
God forever and ever!
Amen.”
Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple: and he that sitteth on the throne shall dwell among them.
For this reason, they are before the throne of God and serve Him day and night in His temple; and the One seated on the throne will spread His tabernacle over them.
For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and
God shall
wipe away all tears from their eyes.
For the Lamb in the center of the throne will be their
shepherd. ‘He will lead them to springs of living water,’ and ‘
God will
wipe away every
tear from their eyes.’”
And I saw the seven angels which stood before
God; and to them were given seven
trumpets.
And I saw the seven angels who stand before
God, and they were given seven
trumpets.
And the smoke of the incense, which came with the prayers of the saints, ascended up before God out of the angel’s hand.
And the smoke of the incense, together with the prayers of the saints, rose up before God from the hand of the angel.
And it was commanded them that they should not
hurt the grass of the earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree; but only those men which have not the seal of
God in their foreheads.
They were told not to
harm the grass of the earth or any plant or tree, but only those who did not have the seal of
God on their foreheads.
And the sixth angel sounded, and I heard a voice from the four horns of the golden altar which is before God,
Then the sixth angel sounded his
trumpet, and I heard a voice from the four horns of the golden altar before
God But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the
mystery of
God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets.
But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he is about to sound his
trumpet, the
mystery of
God will be fulfilled, just as He proclaimed to His servants the prophets.”
And there was given me a reed like unto a rod: and the angel stood, saying, Rise, and measure the temple of God, and the altar, and them that worship therein.
Then I was given a measuring rod like a staff and was told, “Go and measure the temple of God and the altar, and count the number of worshipers there.
These are the two olive trees, and the two candlesticks standing before the God of the earth.
These witnesses are the two olive trees and the two lampstands that stand before the Lord of the earth.
And after three days and an half the Spirit of life from God entered into them, and they stood upon their feet; and great fear fell upon them which saw them.
But after the three and a half days, the breath of life from God entered the two witnesses, and they stood on their feet, and great fear fell upon those who saw them.
And the same hour was there a great
earthquake, and the tenth part of the city fell, and in the
earthquake were slain of men seven thousand: and the
remnant were
affrighted, and gave glory to the
God of heaven.
And in that hour there was a great
earthquake, and a tenth of the city
collapsed. Seven thousand were killed in the
quake, and the rest were
terrified and gave glory to the
God of heaven.
And the four and twenty elders, which sat before God on their seats, fell upon their faces, and worshipped God,
And the twenty-four elders who sit on their thrones before God fell on their faces and worshiped God,
Saying, We give thee
thanks, O Lord
God Almighty, which art, and
wast, and art to come; because thou hast taken to thee thy great power, and hast reigned.
saying: “We give
thanks to You, O Lord
God Almighty, the One who is and who was, because You have taken Your great power and have begun to reign.
And the temple of
God was opened in heaven, and there was seen in his temple the ark of his testament: and there were lightnings, and voices, and thunderings, and an
earthquake, and great
hail.
Then the temple of
God in heaven was opened, and the ark of His covenant appeared in His temple. And there were
flashes of
lightning, and rumblings, and peals of
thunder, and an
earthquake, and a great
hailstorm.
And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne.
And she gave birth to a son, a male child, who will rule all the nations with an iron
scepter. And her child was caught up to
God and to His throne.
And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of
God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and
threescore days.
And the woman fled into the wilderness, where
God had prepared a place for her to be
nourished for 1,260 days.
And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our
God, and the power of his Christ: for the
accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our
God day and night.
And I heard a loud voice in heaven saying: “Now have come the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our
God, and the authority of His Christ. For the
accuser of our brothers has been thrown down— he who accuses them day and night before our
God.
And the
dragon was
wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the
remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of
God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.
And the
dragon was
enraged at the woman, and went to make war with the rest of her children, who keep the commandments of
God and hold to the testimony of Jesus. And the
dragon stood on the shore of the sea.
And he opened his mouth in
blasphemy against
God, to
blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven.
And the beast opened its mouth to speak blasphemies against
God and to
slander His name and His tabernacle—those who dwell in heaven.
These are they which were not
defiled with women; for they are virgins. These are they which follow the Lamb
whithersoever he goeth. These were redeemed from among men, being the firstfruits unto
God and to the Lamb.
These are the ones who have not been
defiled with women, for they are virgins. They follow the Lamb wherever He goes. They have been redeemed from among men as firstfruits to
God and to the Lamb.
And in their mouth was found no
guile: for they are without fault before the throne of
God.
And no lie was found in their mouths; they are
blameless.
Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.
And he said in a loud voice, “Fear God and give Him glory, because the hour of His judgment has come. Worship the One who made the heavens and the earth and the sea and the springs of waters.”
The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of
God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his
indignation; and he shall be
tormented with fire and
brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:
he too will drink the wine of
God’s anger, poured undiluted into the cup of His wrath. And he will be
tormented in fire and sulfur in the presence of the holy angels and of the Lamb.
Here is the
patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of
God, and the faith of Jesus.
Here is a call for the
perseverance of the saints who keep the commandments of
God and the faith of Jesus.
And the angel thrust in his
sickle into the earth, and gathered the vine of the earth, and cast it into the great winepress of the wrath of
God.
So the angel
swung his
sickle over the earth and gathered the grapes of the earth, and he threw them into the great winepress of
God’s wrath.
And I saw another sign in heaven, great and marvellous, seven angels having the seven last plagues; for in them is filled up the wrath of God.
Then I saw another great and
marvelous sign in heaven: seven angels with the seven final plagues, with which the wrath of
God is completed.
And I saw as it were a sea of glass mingled with fire: and them that had
gotten the victory over the beast, and over his image, and over his mark, and over the number of his name, stand on the sea of glass, having the harps of
God.
And I saw something like a sea of glass mixed with fire, beside which stood those who had conquered the beast and its image and the number of its name. They were holding harps from God,
And they sing the song of Moses the servant of
God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, Great and marvellous are thy works, Lord
God Almighty; just and true are thy ways, thou King of saints.
and they
sang the song of
God’s servant Moses and of the Lamb: “Great and wonderful are Your works, O Lord
God Almighty! Just and true are Your ways, O King of the nations!
And one of the four beasts gave unto the seven angels seven golden vials full of the wrath of God, who liveth for ever and ever.
Then one of the four living creatures gave the seven angels seven golden
bowls full of the wrath of
God, who lives
forever and ever.
And the temple was filled with smoke from the glory of God, and from his power; and no man was able to enter into the temple, till the seven plagues of the seven angels were fulfilled.
And the temple was filled with smoke from the glory of God and from His power; and no one could enter the temple until the seven plagues of the seven angels were completed.
And I heard a great voice out of the temple saying to the seven angels, Go your ways, and pour out the vials of the wrath of God upon the earth.
Then I heard a loud voice from the temple saying to the seven angels, “Go, pour out on the earth the seven
bowls of
God’s wrath.”
And I heard another out of the altar say, Even so, Lord
God Almighty, true and righteous are thy judgments.
And I heard the altar reply: “
Yes, Lord
God Almighty, true and just are Your judgments.”
And men were
scorched with great heat, and
blasphemed the name of
God, which hath power over these plagues: and they
repented not to give him glory.
And the people were
scorched by intense heat, and they
cursed the name of
God, who had authority over these plagues; yet they did not
repent and give Him glory.
And
blasphemed the
God of heaven because of their pains and their sores, and
repented not of their deeds.
and
curse the
God of heaven for their pains and sores; yet they did not
repent of their deeds.
