Then Jesus began to speak to them in parables: “A man planted a

fetters; and he
brake the bands, and was driven of the devil into the wilderness.)

When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest; and finding none, he saith, I will return unto my house whence I came out.

No man, when he hath lighted a
candle, putteth it in a secret
place, neither under a

basket. Instead, he sets it on a stand, so those who enter can see the light.

wedding, sit not down in the highest room; lest a more honourable man than thou be
bidden of him;
“When you are invited to a
wedding banquet, do not sit in the
place of honor, in case someone more distinguished than you has been invited.
And he that
bade thee and him come and say to thee, Give this man
place; and thou begin with shame to take the lowest room.
Then the host who invited both of you will come and tell you, ‘Give this man your seat.’ And in
humiliation, you will have to take the last
place.
But when thou art
bidden, go and sit down in the lowest room; that when he that
bade thee cometh, he may say unto thee, Friend, go up higher: then shalt thou have worship in the presence of them that sit at meat with thee.
But when you are invited, go and sit in the last
place, so that your host will come and tell you, ‘Friend, move up to a better
place.’ Then you will be honored in front of
everyone at the table with you.

And when Jesus came to the
place, he looked up, and saw him, and said unto him, Zacchaeus, make

hurry down, for I must stay at your house
today.”

wrapped it in linen, and laid it in a
sepulchre that was
hewn in stone, wherein never man before was laid.
Then he took it down,
wrapped it in a linen cloth, and
placed it in a tomb cut into the rock, where no one had yet been laid.
And the women also, which came with him from
Galilee, followed after, and
beheld the
sepulchre, and how his body was laid.
The women who had come with Jesus from
Galilee followed, and they saw the tomb and how His body was
placed.
But we trusted that it had been he which should have redeemed Israel: and beside all this, to day is the third day since these things were done.
But we were hoping He was the One who would
redeem Israel. And besides all this, it is the third day since these things took
place.
And the third day there was a marriage in
Cana of
Galilee; and the mother of Jesus was there:
The Father loveth the Son, and hath given all things into his hand.

thanks.
Labour not for the meat which perisheth, but for that meat which endureth unto
everlasting life, which the Son of man shall give unto you: for him hath God the Father sealed.
Do not work for food that perishes, but for food that endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you. For on Him God the Father has
placed His seal of
approval.”

And many believed on him there.
And many in that place believed in Jesus.

thank You that You have heard Me.
If we let him thus alone, all men will believe on him: and the Romans shall come and take away both our place and nation.

In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
In My Father’s house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you?
And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.
And if I go and prepare a
place for you, I will come back and
welcome you into My presence, so that you also may be where I am.
And
whither I go ye know, and the way ye know.
You know the way to the place where I am going.”

place called the
place of a skull, which is called in the Hebrew

This title then read many of the Jews: for the
place where Jesus was
crucified was
nigh to the city: and it was written in Hebrew, and Greek, and Latin.
Many of the Jews read this sign, because the
place where Jesus was
crucified was near the city, and it was written in Hebrew, Latin, and Greek.
Now in the
place where he was
crucified there was a garden; and in the garden a new
sepulchre, wherein was never man yet laid.
Now there was a garden in the
place where Jesus was
crucified, and in the garden a new tomb in which no one had yet been laid.
There laid they Jesus therefore because of the Jews’ preparation day; for the
sepulchre was
nigh at hand.
And because it was the Jewish day of Preparation and the tomb was nearby, they placed Jesus there.
And the
napkin, that was about his head, not lying with the linen clothes, but

The cloth that had been around Jesus’ head was rolled up, lying separate from the linen cloths.
For it is written in the book of Psalms, Let his

For we have heard him say, that this Jesus of
Nazareth shall destroy this
place, and shall change the customs which Moses delivered us.
For we have heard him say that Jesus of
Nazareth will destroy this
place and change the customs that Moses handed down to us.”
Then came he out of the land of the Chaldaeans, and dwelt in Charran: and from thence, when his father was dead, he removed him into this land, wherein ye now dwell.
So Abraham left the land of the Chaldeans and settled in
Haran. After his father died, God brought him out of that
place and into this land where you are now living.
And the nation to whom they shall be in

place.’

place of my rest?
‘Heaven is My throne and the earth is My
footstool. What kind of house will you build for Me, says the Lord, or where will My
place of
repose be?
The
place of the scripture which he read was this, He was led as a sheep to the slaughter; and like a lamb
dumb before his
shearer, so opened he not his mouth:
The
eunuch was reading this passage of Scripture: “He was led like a sheep to the slaughter, and as a lamb before the
shearer is silent, so He did not open His mouth.
And hath seen in a vision a man named
Ananias coming in, and putting his hand on him, that he might receive his sight.
In a vision he has seen a man named
Ananias come and
place his hands on him to restore his sight.”
And
Ananias went his way, and entered into the house; and putting his hands on him said, Brother Saul, the Lord, even Jesus, that appeared unto thee in the way as thou camest, hath sent me, that thou mightest receive thy sight, and be filled with the Holy Ghost.
So
Ananias went to the house, and when he arrived, he
placed his hands on Saul. “Brother Saul,” he said, “the Lord Jesus, who appeared to you on the road as you were coming here, has sent me so that you may see again and be filled with the Holy Spirit.”

beckoning unto them with the hand to hold their peace, declared unto them how the Lord had brought him out of the prison. And he said, Go
shew these things unto James, and to the brethren. And he departed, and went into another

And on the sabbath we went out of the city by a river side, where prayer was
wont to be made; and we sat down, and spake unto the women which resorted thither.
On the Sabbath we went outside the city gate along the river, where it was customary to find a place of prayer. After sitting down, we spoke to the women who had gathered there.
And it came to pass, as we went to prayer, a certain
damsel possessed with a spirit of
divination met us, which brought her masters much gain by
soothsaying:
One day as we were going to the
place of prayer, we were met by a slave
girl with a spirit of
divination, who
earned a large income for her masters by fortune-telling.
Who, having received such a charge, thrust them into the inner prison, and made their feet fast in the stocks.
On receiving this order, he placed them in the inner cell and fastened their feet in the stocks.
And after he had spent some time there, he departed, and went over all the country of
Galatia and Phrygia in order,
strengthening all the disciples.
After Paul had spent some time in Antioch, he traveled from
place to
place throughout the region of
Galatia and Phrygia,
strengthening all the disciples.
And when we heard these things, both we, and they of that
place,
besought him not to go up to Jerusalem.
When we heard this, we and the people there
pleaded with Paul not to go up to Jerusalem.
Crying out, Men of Israel, help: This is the man, that teacheth all men every where against the people, and the law, and this
place: and further brought Greeks also into the temple, and hath
polluted this holy
place.
crying out, “Men of Israel, help us! This is the man who teaches everywhere against our people and against our law and against this
place.
Furthermore, he has brought Greeks into the temple and
defiled this holy
place.”
In every way and everywhere, most excellent
Felix, we acknowledge this with all
gratitude.
And on the
morrow, when
Agrippa was come, and
Bernice, with great
pomp, and was entered into the
place of hearing, with the chief captains, and principal men of the city, at
Festus’ commandment Paul was brought forth.
The next day
Agrippa and
Bernice came with great
pomp and entered the
auditorium, along with the commanders and leading men of the city. And
Festus ordered that Paul be brought in.
And, hardly passing it, came unto a
place which is called The fair havens;

And falling into a
place where two seas met, they ran the ship
aground; and the
forepart stuck fast, and remained unmoveable, but the hinder part was broken with the violence of the waves.
But the vessel struck a sandbar and ran
aground. The bow
stuck fast and would not move, and the stern was being broken up by the pounding of the waves.
And when they had appointed him a day, there came many to him into his
lodging; to whom he
expounded and
testified the kingdom of God,
persuading them concerning Jesus, both out of the law of Moses, and out of the prophets, from morning till evening.
So they set a day to meet with Paul, and many people came to the
place he was staying. He
expounded to them from morning to evening,
testifying about the kingdom of God and
persuading them about Jesus from the Law of Moses and the Prophets.
And it shall come to pass, that in the place where it was said unto them, Ye are not my people; there shall they be called the children of the living God.
and, “It will happen that in the very place where it was said to them, ‘You are not My people,’ they will be called ‘sons of the living God.’”
Do not
avenge yourselves, beloved, but leave room for God’s wrath. For it is written: “
Vengeance is Mine; I will repay, says the Lord.”
Consequently,
whoever resists authority is
opposing what God has set in
place, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves.
