summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.

seedtime and harvest, cold and heat,
summer and winter, day and night shall never cease.”
And Ehud came unto him; and he was sitting in a summer parlour, which he had for himself alone. And Ehud said, I have a message from God unto thee. And he arose out of his seat.
Then Ehud approached him while he was sitting alone in the coolness of his upper room. “I have a word from God for you,” Ehud said, and the king rose from his seat.
When he was gone out, his servants came; and when they saw that, behold, the doors of the parlour were locked, they said, Surely he covereth his feet in his summer chamber.

asses saddled, and upon them two hundred
loaves of bread, and an hundred bunches of
raisins, and an hundred of
summer fruits, and a
bottle of wine.
When David had gone a little beyond the summit, Ziba the servant of Mephibosheth was there to meet him. He had a pair of
saddled donkeys loaded with two hundred
loaves of bread, a hundred clusters of
raisins, a hundred
summer fruits, and a skin of wine.
And the king said unto Ziba, What meanest thou by these? And Ziba said, The
asses be for the king’s household to
ride on; and the bread and
summer fruit for the young men to eat; and the wine, that such as be
faint in the wilderness may drink.
“Why do you have these?” asked the king. Ziba replied, “The
donkeys are for the king’s household to
ride, the bread and
summer fruit are for the young men to eat, and the wine is to refresh those who become exhausted in the wilderness.”
For day and night thy hand was heavy upon me: my moisture is turned into the
drought of
summer.
Selah.
For day and night Your hand was heavy upon me; my strength was drained as in the
summer heat.

Therefore I will
bewail with the
weeping of Jazer the vine of Sibmah: I will water thee with my tears, O
Heshbon, and Elealeh: for the
shouting for thy
summer fruits and for thy harvest is fallen.
So I
weep with Jazer for the vines of Sibmah; I
drench Heshbon and Elealeh with my tears.
Triumphant shouts have fallen silent over your
summer fruit and your harvest.

fading flower, and as the

The
fading flower of his beautiful
splendor, set on the summit above the fertile valley, will be like a ripe fig before the
summer harvest:
Whoever sees it will take it in his hand and
swallow it.

Mizpah to serve the Chaldeans, which will come unto us: but ye, gather ye wine, and
summer fruits, and oil, and put them in your vessels, and dwell in your cities that ye have taken.

Mizpah to represent you before the Chaldeans who come to us. As for you, gather wine grapes,
summer fruit, and oil, place them in your
storage jars, and live in the cities you have taken.”

Mizpah. And they gathered an abundance of wine grapes and

O vine of Sibmah, I will
weep for thee with the
weeping of Jazer: thy plants are gone over the sea, they reach even to the sea of Jazer: the
spoiler is fallen upon thy
summer fruits and upon thy
vintage.
I will
weep for you, O vine of Sibmah, more than I
weep for Jazer. Your tendrils have extended to the sea; they reach even to Jazer. The destroyer has descended on your
summer fruit and
grape harvest.
Then was the iron, the clay, the brass, the silver, and the gold, broken to pieces together, and became like the
chaff of the
summer threshingfloors; and the wind carried them away, that no place was found for them: and the stone that
smote the image became a great mountain, and filled the whole earth.
Then the iron, clay, bronze, silver, and gold were
shattered and became like
chaff on the
threshing floor in
summer. The wind carried them away, and not a trace of them could be found. But the stone that had struck the statue became a great mountain and filled the whole earth.
And I will
smite the winter house with the
summer house; and the houses of ivory shall perish, and the great houses shall have an end, saith the LORD.

basket of
summer fruit.

basket of
summer fruit. Then said the LORD unto me, The end is come upon my people of Israel; I will not again pass by them any more.

Amos, what do you see?” He asked. “A
basket of
summer fruit,” I replied. So the LORD said to me, “The end has come for My people Israel; I will no longer
spare them.”
Woe is me! for I am as when they have gathered the

Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that
summer is
nigh:
Now learn this
lesson from the fig tree: As soon as its branches become tender and
sprout leaves, you know that
summer is near.
Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When her branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is near:
Now learn this
lesson from the fig tree: As soon as its branches become tender and
sprout leaves, you know that
summer is near.
When they now shoot forth, ye see and know of your own
selves that
summer is now
nigh at hand.
When they
sprout leaves, you can see for
yourselves and know that
summer is near.
And as the flower of roses in the spring of the year, as
lilies by the rivers of waters, and as the branches of the
frankincense tree in the time of
summer:
O ye winter and
summer,
bless ye the Lord: praise and
exalt him above all for ever.
