And Moses said unto Aaron, What did this people unto thee, that thou hast brought so great a sin upon them?
“What did this people do to you,” Moses asked Aaron, “that you have led them into so great a sin?”
And Aaron said, Let not the anger of my lord wax hot: thou knowest the people, that they are set on mischief.
“Do not be
enraged, my lord,”
Aaron replied. “You
yourself know that the people are intent on evil.
And when Moses saw that the people were naked; (for Aaron had made them naked unto their shame among their enemies:)
Moses saw that the people were out of control, for
Aaron had let them run wild and become a
laughingstock to their enemies.
And the LORD plagued the people, because they made the
calf, which
Aaron made.
And the LORD sent a plague on the people because of what they had done with the
calf that
Aaron had made.
And when
Aaron and all the children of Israel saw Moses, behold, the skin of his face
shone; and they were afraid to come
nigh him.
Aaron and all the Israelites looked at Moses, and behold, his face was
radiant. And they were afraid to approach him.
And Moses called unto them; and Aaron and all the rulers of the congregation returned unto him: and Moses talked with them.

The cloths of service, to do service in the holy place, the holy garments for Aaron the priest, and the garments of his sons, to minister in the priest’s office.
and the
woven garments for ministering in the holy place—both the holy garments for
Aaron the priest and the garments for his sons to serve as priests.”
This is the sum of the tabernacle, even of the tabernacle of testimony, as it was counted, according to the commandment of Moses, for the service of the Levites, by the hand of
Ithamar, son to
Aaron the priest.
This is the
inventory for the tabernacle, the tabernacle of the Testimony, as recorded at Moses’ command by the Levites under the direction of
Ithamar son of
Aaron the priest.
And of the blue, and purple, and scarlet, they made cloths of service, to do service in the holy place, and made the holy garments for Aaron; as the LORD commanded Moses.
From the blue, purple, and scarlet yarn they made specially
woven garments for ministry in the sanctuary, as well as the holy garments for
Aaron, just as the LORD had commanded Moses.
And they made coats of fine linen of
woven work for
Aaron, and for his sons,
For
Aaron and his sons they made tunics of fine linen, the work of a
weaver,

Aaron the holy garments, and

sanctify him; that he may minister unto me in the priest’s office.

Aaron and his sons washed their hands and their feet
thereat:
and from it Moses, Aaron, and his sons washed their hands and feet.

Aaron’s sons the priests are to present the blood and
sprinkle it on all sides of the altar at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting.
And the sons of Aaron the priest shall put fire upon the altar, and lay the wood in order upon the fire:
The sons of Aaron the priest shall put a fire on the altar and arrange wood on the fire.
And the priests, Aaron’s sons, shall lay the parts, the head, and the fat, in order upon the wood that is on the fire which is upon the altar:
Then
Aaron’s sons the priests are to arrange the pieces, including the head and the fat,
atop the burning wood on the altar.
And he shall kill it on the side of the altar northward before the LORD: and the priests,
Aaron’s sons, shall

Aaron’s sons the priests: and he shall take
thereout his handful of the flour thereof, and of the oil thereof, with all the
frankincense thereof; and the priest shall burn the
memorial of it upon the altar, to be an offering made by fire, of a sweet savour unto the LORD:
and bring it to
Aaron’s sons the priests. The priest shall take a handful of the flour and oil, together with all the
frankincense, and burn this as a
memorial portion on the altar, an offering made by fire, a pleasing
aroma to the LORD.
And the
remnant of the meat offerings shall be
Aaron’s and his sons’: it is a thing most holy of the offerings of the LORD made by fire.
The remainder of the grain offering shall belong to Aaron and his sons; it is a most holy part of the offerings made by fire to the LORD.
And that which is left of the meat offering shall be Aaron’s and his sons’: it is a thing most holy of the offerings of the LORD made by fire.
But the remainder of the grain offering shall belong to Aaron and his sons; it is a most holy part of the offerings made by fire to the LORD.
And he shall lay his hand upon the head of his offering, and kill it at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation: and
Aaron’s sons the priests shall
sprinkle the blood upon the altar round about.
He is to lay his hand on the head of the offering and slaughter it at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting. Then
Aaron’s sons the priests shall
sprinkle the blood on all sides of the altar.
And Aaron’s sons shall burn it on the altar upon the burnt sacrifice, which is upon the wood that is on the fire: it is an offering made by fire, of a sweet savour unto the LORD.
Then
Aaron’s sons are to burn it on the altar
atop the burnt offering that is on the burning wood, as an offering made by fire, a pleasing
aroma to the LORD.
And he shall lay his hand upon the head of his offering, and kill it before the tabernacle of the congregation: and
Aaron’s sons shall
sprinkle the blood thereof round about upon the altar.
He is to lay his hand on the head of his offering and slaughter it in front of the Tent of Meeting. Then
Aaron’s sons shall
sprinkle its blood on all sides of the altar.
And he shall lay his hand upon the head of it, and kill it before the tabernacle of the congregation: and the sons of
Aaron shall
sprinkle the blood thereof upon the altar round about.
He must lay his hand on its head and slaughter it in front of the Tent of Meeting. Then
Aaron’s sons shall
sprinkle its blood on all sides of the altar.
Command Aaron and his sons, saying, This is the law of the burnt offering: It is the burnt offering, because of the burning upon the altar all night unto the morning, and the fire of the altar shall be burning in it.
“Command
Aaron and his sons that this is the law of the burnt offering: The burnt offering is to remain on the
hearth of the altar all night, until morning, and the fire must be kept burning on the altar.
And this is the law of the meat offering: the sons of Aaron shall offer it before the LORD, before the altar.
Now this is the law of the grain offering: Aaron’s sons shall present it before the LORD in front of the altar.
And the remainder thereof shall
Aaron and his sons eat: with
unleavened bread shall it be eaten in the holy place; in the court of the tabernacle of the congregation they shall eat it.
Aaron and his sons are to eat the remainder. It must be eaten without
leaven in a holy place; they are to eat it in the
courtyard of the Tent of Meeting.
All the males among the children of Aaron shall eat of it. It shall be a statute for ever in your generations concerning the offerings of the LORD made by fire: every one that toucheth them shall be holy.
Any male among the sons of Aaron may eat it. This is a permanent portion from the offerings made by fire to the LORD for the generations to come. Anything that touches them will become holy.”
This is the offering of
Aaron and of his sons, which they shall offer unto the LORD in the day when he is
anointed; the tenth part of an
ephah of fine flour for a meat offering perpetual, half of it in the morning, and half thereof at night.
“This is the offering that
Aaron and his sons must present to the LORD on the day he is
anointed: a tenth of an
ephah of fine flour as a regular grain offering, half of it in the morning and half in the evening.
And the priest of his sons that is
anointed in his
stead shall offer it: it is a statute for ever unto the LORD, it shall be wholly burnt.
The priest, who is one of
Aaron’s sons and will be
anointed to take his place, is to prepare it. As a permanent portion for the LORD, it must be burned completely.
Speak unto Aaron and to his sons, saying, This is the law of the sin offering: In the place where the burnt offering is killed shall the sin offering be killed before the LORD: it is most holy.
“Tell Aaron and his sons that this is the law of the sin offering: In the place where the burnt offering is slaughtered, the sin offering shall be slaughtered before the LORD; it is most holy.
And every meat offering, mingled with oil, and dry, shall all the sons of Aaron have, one as much as another.
and every grain offering, whether dry or mixed with oil, belongs equally to all the sons of Aaron.
And the priest shall burn the fat upon the altar: but the breast shall be Aaron’s and his sons’.
The priest is to burn the fat on the altar, but the breast belongs to Aaron and his sons.
He among the sons of Aaron, that offereth the blood of the peace offerings, and the fat, shall have the right shoulder for his part.
The son of
Aaron who presents the blood and fat of the peace offering shall have the right
thigh as a portion.
For the wave breast and the
heave shoulder have I taken of the children of Israel from off the sacrifices of their peace offerings, and have given them unto
Aaron the priest and unto his sons by a statute for ever from among the children of Israel.
I have taken from the sons of Israel the breast of the wave offering and the
thigh of the contribution of their peace offerings, and I have given them to
Aaron the priest and his sons as a permanent portion from the sons of Israel.’”
This is the portion of the
anointing of
Aaron, and of the
anointing of his sons, out of the offerings of the LORD made by fire, in the day when he presented them to minister unto the LORD in the priest’s office;
This is the portion of the offerings made by fire to the LORD for Aaron and his sons since the day they were presented to serve the LORD as priests.
“Take
Aaron and his sons, their garments, the
anointing oil, the bull of the sin offering, the two rams, and the
basket of
unleavened bread,
And Moses brought Aaron and his sons, and washed them with water.
Then Moses presented Aaron and his sons and washed them with water.
And he put the
mitre upon his head; also upon the
mitre, even upon his
forefront, did he put the golden plate, the holy crown; as the LORD commanded Moses.
Moses also put the
turban on
Aaron’s head and set the gold plate, the holy
diadem, on the front of the
turban, as the LORD had commanded him.
And Moses brought
Aaron’s sons, and put coats upon them, and
girded them with girdles, and put bonnets upon them; as the LORD commanded Moses.
Then Moses presented
Aaron’s sons, put tunics on them,
wrapped sashes around them, and
tied headbands on them, just as the LORD had commanded him.
And he brought the
bullock for the sin offering: and
Aaron and his sons laid their hands upon the head of the
bullock for the sin offering.
Moses then brought the bull near for the sin offering, and Aaron and his sons laid their hands on its head.
And he brought the ram for the burnt offering: and Aaron and his sons laid their hands upon the head of the ram.
Then Moses presented the ram for the burnt offering, and Aaron and his sons laid their hands on its head.
And he brought the other ram, the ram of
consecration: and
Aaron and his sons laid their hands upon the head of the ram.
After that, Moses presented the other ram, the ram of
ordination, and
Aaron and his sons laid their hands on its head.
And he
slew it; and Moses took of the blood of it, and put it upon the
tip of
Aaron’s right ear, and upon the
thumb of his right hand, and upon the great
toe of his right foot.
Moses slaughtered the ram and took some of its blood and put it on
Aaron’s right earlobe, on the
thumb of his right hand, and on the
big toe of his right foot.
And he brought
Aaron’s sons, and Moses put of the blood upon the
tip of their right ear, and upon the thumbs of their right hands, and upon the great toes of their right feet: and Moses
sprinkled the blood upon the altar round about.
Moses also presented
Aaron’s sons and put some of the blood on their right earlobes, on the thumbs of their right hands, and on the
big toes of their right feet. Then he
sprinkled the blood on all sides of the altar.
And he put all upon Aaron’s hands, and upon his sons’ hands, and waved them for a wave offering before the LORD.
He put all these in the hands of Aaron and his sons and waved them before the LORD as a wave offering.
And Moses took of the
anointing oil, and of the blood which was upon the altar, and
sprinkled it upon
Aaron, and upon his garments, and upon his sons, and upon his sons’ garments with him; and
sanctified Aaron, and his garments, and his sons, and his sons’ garments with him.
Next, Moses took some of the
anointing oil and some of the blood that was on the altar and
sprinkled them on
Aaron and his garments, and on his sons and their garments. So he consecrated
Aaron and his garments, as well as
Aaron’s sons and their garments.
And Moses said unto
Aaron and to his sons,
Boil the flesh at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation: and there eat it with the bread that is in the
basket of consecrations, as I commanded, saying,
Aaron and his sons shall eat it.
And Moses said to
Aaron and his sons, “
Boil the meat at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting and eat it there with the bread that is in the
basket of
ordination offerings, as I commanded, saying, ‘
Aaron and his sons are to eat it.’
So Aaron and his sons did all things which the LORD commanded by the hand of Moses.
So Aaron and his sons did everything the LORD had commanded through Moses.
And it came to pass on the eighth day, that Moses called Aaron and his sons, and the elders of Israel;
On the eighth day Moses summoned Aaron and his sons and the elders of Israel.
And he said unto
Aaron, Take thee a young
calf for a sin offering, and a ram for a burnt offering, without
blemish, and offer them before the LORD.
He said to
Aaron, “Take for
yourself a young bull for a sin offering and a ram for a burnt offering, both without
blemish, and present them before the LORD.
And Moses said unto
Aaron, Go unto the altar, and offer thy sin offering, and thy burnt offering, and make an
atonement for
thyself, and for the people: and offer the offering of the people, and make an
atonement for them; as the LORD commanded.
Then Moses said to
Aaron, “Approach the altar and sacrifice your sin offering and your burnt offering to make
atonement for
yourself and for the people. And sacrifice the people’s offering to make
atonement for them, as the LORD has commanded.”
Aaron therefore went unto the altar, and
slew the
calf of the sin offering, which was for himself.
So
Aaron approached the altar and slaughtered the
calf as a sin offering for himself.
And the sons of
Aaron brought the blood unto him: and he
dipped his finger in the blood, and put it upon the horns of the altar, and poured out the blood at the bottom of the altar:
The sons of
Aaron brought the blood to him, and he
dipped his finger in the blood and applied it to the horns of the altar. And he poured out the rest of the blood at the base of the altar.
And he
slew the burnt offering; and
Aaron’s sons presented unto him the blood, which he
sprinkled round about upon the altar.
Then
Aaron slaughtered the burnt offering. His sons brought him the blood, and he
sprinkled it on all sides of the altar.
And he brought the people’s offering, and took the goat, which was the sin offering for the people, and
slew it, and offered it for sin, as the first.
Aaron then presented the people’s offering. He took the male goat for the people’s sin offering, slaughtered it, and offered it for sin like the first one.
He
slew also the
bullock and the ram for a sacrifice of peace offerings, which was for the people: and
Aaron’s sons presented unto him the blood, which he
sprinkled upon the altar round about,
Then he slaughtered the ox and the ram as the people’s peace offering. His sons brought him the blood, and he
sprinkled it on all sides of the altar.
And they put the fat upon the breasts, and he burnt the fat upon the altar:
and placed these on the breasts. Aaron burned the fat portions on the altar,
And the breasts and the right shoulder Aaron waved for a wave offering before the LORD; as Moses commanded.
but he waved the breasts and the right
thigh as a wave offering before the LORD, as Moses had commanded.
And Aaron lifted up his hand toward the people, and blessed them, and came down from offering of the sin offering, and the burnt offering, and peace offerings.
Aaron lifted up his hands toward the people and blessed them. And having made the sin offering, the burnt offering, and the peace offering, he
stepped down.
And Moses and Aaron went into the tabernacle of the congregation, and came out, and blessed the people: and the glory of the LORD appeared unto all the people.
Moses and Aaron then entered the Tent of Meeting. When they came out, they blessed the people, and the glory of the LORD appeared to all the people.
And
Nadab and
Abihu, the sons of
Aaron, took either of them his
censer, and put fire therein, and put incense
thereon, and offered strange fire before the LORD, which he commanded them not.
Now
Aaron’s sons
Nadab and
Abihu took their censers, put fire in them and added incense, and offered unauthorized fire before the LORD, contrary to His command.
Then Moses said unto
Aaron, This is it that the LORD spake, saying, I will be
sanctified in them that come
nigh me, and before all the people I will be
glorified. And
Aaron held his peace.
Then Moses said to
Aaron, “This is what the LORD meant when He said: ‘To those who come near Me I will show My
holiness, and in the sight of all the people I will
reveal My glory.’” But
Aaron remained silent.
And Moses called Mishael and Elzaphan, the sons of Uzziel the uncle of Aaron, and said unto them, Come near, carry your brethren from before the sanctuary out of the camp.
Moses summoned Mishael and Elzaphan, sons of Aaron’s uncle Uzziel, and said to them, “Come here; carry the bodies of your cousins outside the camp, away from the front of the sanctuary.”
And Moses said unto
Aaron, and unto
Eleazar and unto
Ithamar, his sons, Uncover not your heads, neither
rend your clothes; lest ye die, and lest wrath come upon all the people: but let your brethren, the whole house of Israel,
bewail the burning which the LORD hath
kindled.
Then Moses said to
Aaron and his sons
Eleazar and
Ithamar, “Do not let your hair become
disheveled and do not
tear your garments, or else you will die, and the LORD will be
angry with the whole congregation. But your brothers, the whole house of Israel, may
mourn on account of the fire that the LORD has
ignited.
And the LORD spake unto Aaron, saying,
Then the LORD said to Aaron,
And Moses spake unto
Aaron, and unto
Eleazar and unto
Ithamar, his sons that were left, Take the meat offering that remaineth of the offerings of the LORD made by fire, and eat it without
leaven beside the altar: for it is most holy:
And Moses said to
Aaron and his remaining sons,
Eleazar and
Ithamar, “Take the grain offering that remains from the offerings made by fire to the LORD and eat it without
leaven beside the altar, because it is most holy.
And Moses
diligently sought the goat of the sin offering, and, behold, it was burnt: and he was
angry with
Eleazar and
Ithamar, the sons of
Aaron which were left alive, saying,
Later, Moses searched carefully for the goat of the sin offering, and behold, it had been burned up. He was
angry with
Eleazar and
Ithamar,
Aaron’s remaining sons, and asked,
And
Aaron said unto Moses, Behold, this day have they offered their sin offering and their burnt offering before the LORD; and such things have
befallen me: and if I had eaten the sin offering to day, should it have been accepted in the sight of the LORD?
But
Aaron replied to Moses, “Behold, this very day they presented their sin offering and their burnt offering before the LORD. Since these things have happened to me, if I had eaten the sin offering
today, would it have been acceptable in the sight of the LORD?”
And the LORD spake unto Moses and to Aaron, saying unto them,
The LORD spoke again to Moses and Aaron, telling them,
And the LORD spake unto Moses and Aaron, saying,
Then the LORD said to Moses and Aaron,
When a man shall have in the skin of his flesh a rising, a
scab, or a bright spot, and it be in the skin of his flesh like the plague of
leprosy; then he shall be brought unto
Aaron the priest, or unto one of his sons the priests:
“When someone has a swelling or
rash or bright spot on his skin that could become an
infectious skin disease, he must be brought to
Aaron the priest or to one of his sons who is a priest.
And the LORD spake unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying,
Then the LORD said to Moses and Aaron,
And the LORD spake unto Moses and to Aaron, saying,
And the LORD said to Moses and Aaron,
And the LORD spake unto Moses after the death of the two sons of Aaron, when they offered before the LORD, and died;
Now the LORD spoke to Moses after the death of two of Aaron’s sons when they approached the presence of the LORD.
And the LORD said unto Moses, Speak unto
Aaron thy brother, that he come not at all times into the holy place within the
vail before the mercy seat, which is upon the ark; that he die not: for I will appear in the cloud upon the mercy seat.
And the LORD said to Moses: “Tell your brother
Aaron not to enter freely into the Most Holy Place behind the
veil in front of the mercy seat on the ark, or else he will die, because I appear in the cloud above the mercy seat.
Thus shall
Aaron come into the holy place: with a young
bullock for a sin offering, and a ram for a burnt offering.
This is how Aaron is to enter the Holy Place: with a young bull for a sin offering and a ram for a burnt offering.
And
Aaron shall offer his
bullock of the sin offering, which is for himself, and make an
atonement for himself, and for his house.
Aaron is to present the bull for his sin offering and make
atonement for himself and his household.
And
Aaron shall cast lots upon the two goats; one lot for the LORD, and the other lot for the
scapegoat.
After
Aaron casts lots for the two goats, one for the LORD and the other for the
scapegoat,
And Aaron shall bring the goat upon which the LORD’S lot fell, and offer him for a sin offering.
he shall present the goat chosen by lot for the LORD and sacrifice it as a sin offering.
And
Aaron shall bring the
bullock of the sin offering, which is for himself, and shall make an
atonement for himself, and for his house, and shall kill the
bullock of the sin offering which is for himself:
When
Aaron presents the bull for his sin offering and makes
atonement for himself and his household, he is to slaughter the bull for his own sin offering.
Then shall he kill the goat of the sin offering, that is for the people, and bring his blood within the
vail, and do with that blood as he did with the blood of the
bullock, and
sprinkle it upon the mercy seat, and before the mercy seat:
Aaron shall then slaughter the goat for the sin offering for the people and bring its blood behind the
veil, and with its blood he must do as he did with the bull’s blood: He is to
sprinkle it against the mercy seat and in front of it.
And there shall be no man in the tabernacle of the congregation when he goeth in to make an
atonement in the holy place, until he come out, and have made an
atonement for himself, and for his household, and for all the congregation of Israel.
No one may be in the Tent of Meeting from the time
Aaron goes in to make
atonement in the Most Holy Place until he leaves, after he has made
atonement for himself, his household, and the whole assembly of Israel.
And when he hath made an end of
reconciling the holy place, and the tabernacle of the congregation, and the altar, he shall bring the live goat:
When
Aaron has finished
purifying the Most Holy Place, the Tent of Meeting, and the altar, he is to bring forward the live goat.
And
Aaron shall lay both his hands upon the head of the live goat, and
confess over him all the
iniquities of the children of Israel, and all their transgressions in all their sins, putting them upon the head of the goat, and shall send him away by the hand of a fit man into the wilderness:
Then he is to lay both hands on the head of the live goat and
confess over it all the
iniquities and
rebellious acts of the Israelites in regard to all their sins. He is to put them on the goat’s head and send it away into the wilderness by the hand of a man appointed for the task.
And Aaron shall come into the tabernacle of the congregation, and shall put off the linen garments, which he put on when he went into the holy place, and shall leave them there:
Then Aaron is to enter the Tent of Meeting, take off the linen garments he put on before entering the Most Holy Place, and leave them there.
Speak unto Aaron, and unto his sons, and unto all the children of Israel, and say unto them; This is the thing which the LORD hath commanded, saying,
“Speak to Aaron, his sons, and all the Israelites and tell them this is what the LORD has commanded:
And the LORD said unto Moses, Speak unto the priests the sons of
Aaron, and say unto them, There shall none be
defiled for the dead among his people:
Then the LORD said to Moses, “Speak to
Aaron’s sons, the priests, and tell them that a priest is not to
defile himself for a dead person among his people,
Speak unto
Aaron, saying,
Whosoever he be of thy seed in their generations that hath any
blemish, let him not approach to offer the bread of his God.
“Say to Aaron, ‘For the generations to come, none of your descendants who has a physical defect may approach to offer the food of his God.
No man that hath a
blemish of the seed of
Aaron the priest shall come
nigh to offer the offerings of the LORD made by fire: he hath a
blemish; he shall not come
nigh to offer the bread of his God.
No
descendant of
Aaron the priest who has a defect shall approach to present the offerings made by fire to the LORD. Since he has a defect, he is not to come near to offer the food of his God.
And Moses told it unto Aaron, and to his sons, and unto all the children of Israel.
Moses told this to Aaron and his sons and to all the Israelites.
Speak unto
Aaron and to his sons, that they separate themselves from the holy things of the children of Israel, and that they
profane not my holy name in those things which they
hallow unto me: I am the LORD.
“Tell
Aaron and his sons to treat with respect the sacred offerings that the Israelites have consecrated to Me, so that they do not
profane My holy name. I am the LORD.
What man
soever of the seed of
Aaron is a
leper, or hath a running issue; he shall not eat of the holy things, until he be clean. And
whoso toucheth any thing that is unclean by the dead, or a man whose seed goeth from him;
Speak unto
Aaron, and to his sons, and unto all the children of Israel, and say unto them,
Whatsoever he be of the house of Israel, or of the strangers in Israel, that will offer his
oblation for all his vows, and for all his
freewill offerings, which they will offer unto the LORD for a burnt offering;
“Speak to
Aaron and his sons and all the Israelites and tell them, ‘Any man of the house of Israel or any foreign resident who presents a gift for a burnt offering to the LORD, whether to
fulfill a
vow or as a
freewill offering,
Without the
vail of the testimony, in the tabernacle of the congregation, shall
Aaron order it from the evening unto the morning before the LORD continually: it shall be a statute for ever in your generations.
Outside the
veil of the Testimony in the Tent of Meeting,
Aaron is to tend the lamps continually before the LORD from evening until morning. This is to be a permanent statute for the generations to come.
And it shall be Aaron’s and his sons’; and they shall eat it in the holy place: for it is most holy unto him of the offerings of the LORD made by fire by a perpetual statute.
It belongs to
Aaron and his sons, who are to eat it in a holy place; for it is to him a most holy part of the offerings made by fire to the LORD—his portion
forever.”
From twenty years old and upward, all that are able to go forth to war in Israel: thou and Aaron shall number them by their armies.
You and
Aaron are to number those who are twenty years of age or older by their divisions—
everyone who can serve in Israel’s army.
