among us,
Many have undertaken to
compose an account of the things that have been fulfilled
among us,

among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy

And some fell
among thorns; and the thorns
sprang up with it, and
choked it.
Other seed fell
among thorns, which grew up with it and
choked the seedlings.
And that which fell
among thorns are they, which, when they have heard, go forth, and are
choked with cares and riches and pleasures of this life, and bring no fruit to perfection.
The seeds that fell
among the thorns are those who hear, but as they go on their way, they are
choked by the
worries, riches, and pleasures of this life, and their fruit does not
mature.

whoever welcomes Me welcomes the One who sent Me. For
whoever is the least
among all of you, he is the greatest.”

Jericho when he fell into the hands of robbers. They
stripped him, beat him, and went away, leaving him half dead.

among men is
detestable before God.

And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with

among the nations,
bewildered by the
roaring of the sea and the

among you, let him be as the younger; and he that is chief, as he that
doth serve.
But you shall not be like them. Instead, the greatest among you should be like the youngest, and the one who leads like the one who serves.
For whether is greater, he that sitteth at meat, or he that serveth? is not he that sitteth at meat? but I am among you as he that serveth.
For who is greater, the one who reclines at the table or the one who serves? Is it not the one who reclines? But I am among you as one who serves.
For I say unto you, that this that is written must yet be accomplished in me, And he was reckoned among the transgressors: for the things concerning me have an end.

fulfillment.”

among us, (and we

Then said the Jews
among themselves,
Whither will he go, that we shall not find him? will he go unto the
dispersed among the Gentiles, and teach the Gentiles?
At this, the Jews said to one another, “Where does He intend to go that we will not find Him? Will He go where the Jews are
dispersed among the Greeks, and teach the Greeks?
So there was a division among the people because of him.
So there was division in the crowd because of Jesus.
So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.
When they continued to question Him, He
straightened up and said to them, “Let him who is without sin
among you be the first to cast a stone at her.”
Therefore said some of the
Pharisees, This man is not of God, because he keepeth not the sabbath day. Others said, How can a man that is a
sinner do such miracles? And there was a division
among them.
Because of this, some of the
Pharisees said, “This man is not from God, for He does not keep the Sabbath.” But others said, “How can a sinful man perform such signs?” And there was division
among them.
There was a division therefore again among the Jews for these sayings.
Again there was division among the Jews because of Jesus’ message.
Jesus therefore walked no more openly among the Jews; but went thence unto a country near to the wilderness, into a city called Ephraim, and there continued with his disciples.

And there were certain Greeks among them that came up to worship at the feast:

among the chief rulers also many believed on him; but because of the

confess Him, for fear that they would be put out of the
synagogue.
If I had not done
among them the works which none other man did, they had not had sin: but now have they both seen and
hated both me and my Father.
If I had not done
among them the works that no one else did, they would not be guilty of sin; but now they have seen and
hated both Me and My Father.
Then said some of his disciples among themselves, What is this that he saith unto us, A little while, and ye shall not see me: and again, a little while, and ye shall see me: and, Because I go to the Father?
Then some of His disciples asked one another, “Why is He telling us, ‘In a little while you will not see Me, and then after a little while you will see Me’ and ‘Because I am going to the Father’?”
Now Jesus knew that they were
desirous to ask him, and said unto them, Do ye
enquire among yourselves of that I said, A little while, and ye shall not see me: and again, a little while, and ye shall see me?
Aware that they wanted to question Him, Jesus said to them, “Are you asking one another why I said, ‘In a little while you will not see Me, and then after a little while you will see Me’?
They said therefore
among themselves, Let us not
rend it, but cast lots for it, whose it shall be: that the scripture might be fulfilled, which saith, They parted my
raiment among them, and for my
vesture they did cast lots. These things therefore the soldiers did.
So they said to one another, “Let us not
tear it. Instead, let us cast lots to see who will get it.” This was to
fulfill the Scripture: “They divided My garments
among them, and cast lots for My clothing.” So that is what the soldiers did.
Then the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled for fear of the Jews, came Jesus and stood in the midst, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you.
It was the first day of the week, and that very evening, while the disciples were together with the doors locked for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood among them. “Peace be with you!” He said to them.
And after eight days again his disciples were within, and Thomas with them: then came Jesus, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, Peace be unto you.
Eight days later, His disciples were once again inside with the doors locked, and Thomas was with them. Jesus came and stood among them and said, “Peace be with you.”
Then went this saying abroad
among the brethren, that that disciple should not die: yet Jesus said not unto him, He shall not die; but, If I will that he
tarry till I come, what is that to thee?
Because of this, the
rumor spread
among the brothers that this disciple would not die. However, Jesus did not say that he would not die, but only, “If I want him to remain until I return, what is that to you?”
And in those days Peter stood up in the midst of the disciples, and said, (the number of names together were about an hundred and twenty,)
In those days Peter stood up among the brothers (a gathering of about a hundred and twenty) and said,
Wherefore of these men which have
companied with us all the time that the Lord Jesus went in and out
among us,
Therefore it is necessary to choose one of the men who have accompanied us the whole time the Lord Jesus went in and out among us,
Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of
Nazareth, a man approved of God
among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye
yourselves also know:
Men of Israel,
listen to this message: Jesus of
Nazareth was a man
certified by God to you by miracles, wonders, and signs, which God did
among you through Him, as you
yourselves know.
For Moses truly said unto the fathers, A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear in all things
whatsoever he shall say unto you.
For Moses said, ‘The Lord your God will raise up for you a prophet like me from
among your brothers. You must
listen to Him in everything He tells you.
And it shall come to pass, that every soul, which will not hear that prophet, shall be destroyed from among the people.
Everyone who does not
listen to Him will be completely cut off from
among his people.’
Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

But when they had commanded them to go aside out of the council, they conferred among themselves,
So they ordered them to leave the
Sanhedrin and then conferred together.
But that it spread no further
among the people, let us straitly
threaten them, that they speak henceforth to no man in this name.
But to keep this message from spreading any further
among the people, we must
warn them not to speak to
anyone in this name.”
Neither was there any among them that lacked: for as many as were possessors of lands or houses sold them, and brought the prices of the things that were sold,

needy ones
among them, because those who owned lands or houses would sell their property, bring the proceeds from the sales,

Then stood there up one in the council, a
Pharisee, named
Gamaliel, a doctor of the law, had in reputation

Sanhedrin and ordered that the men be put outside for a short time.
And in those days, when the number of the disciples was multiplied, there arose a
murmuring of the Grecians against the Hebrews, because their widows were neglected in the daily
ministration.

Wherefore, brethren, look ye out
among you seven men of
honest report, full of the Holy Ghost and wisdom, whom we may
appoint over this business.
Therefore, brothers, select from
among you seven men confirmed to be full of the Spirit and wisdom. We will
appoint this
responsibility to them

Cornelius was departed, he called two of his household servants, and a

among his attendants.
And they said,
Cornelius the
centurion, a just man, and one that feareth God, and of good report
among all the nation of the Jews, was
warned from God by an holy angel to send for thee into his house, and to hear words of thee.
“
Cornelius the
centurion has sent us,” they said. “He is a righteous and God-fearing man with a good reputation
among the whole Jewish nation. A holy angel
instructed him to request your presence in his home so he could hear a message from you.”
Now as soon as it was day, there was no small
stir among the soldiers, what was become of Peter.
At
daybreak there was no small
commotion among the soldiers as to what had become of Peter.
Men and brethren, children of the stock of Abraham, and
whosoever among you feareth God, to you is the word of this salvation sent.
Brothers, children of Abraham, and you Gentiles who fear God, it is to us that this message of salvation has been sent.
Which when the apostles,
Barnabas and Paul, heard of, they rent their clothes, and ran in
among the people, crying out,
And when there had been much disputing, Peter rose up, and said unto them, Men and brethren, ye know how that a good while ago God made choice among us, that the Gentiles by my mouth should hear the word of the gospel, and believe.
After much discussion, Peter got up and said to them, “Brothers, you know that in the early days God made a choice among you that the Gentiles would hear from my lips the message of the gospel and believe.
Then all the multitude kept silence, and gave
audience to
Barnabas and Paul, declaring what miracles and wonders God had wrought
among the Gentiles by them.
The whole assembly fell silent as they
listened to
Barnabas and Paul describing the signs and wonders God had done
among the Gentiles through them.
Wherefore my sentence is, that we trouble not them, which from among the Gentiles are turned to God:
It is my judgment, therefore, that we should not cause trouble for the Gentiles who are turning to God.
Then pleased it the apostles and elders, with the whole church, to send chosen men of their own company to Antioch with Paul and
Barnabas; namely,
Judas surnamed Barsabas, and
Silas, chief men
among the brethren:
Then the apostles and elders, with the whole church, decided to select men from
among them to send to Antioch with Paul and
Barnabas. They chose
Judas called Barsabbas and
Silas, two leaders
among the brothers,
And they wrote letters by them after this manner; The apostles and elders and brethren send
greeting unto the brethren which are of the Gentiles in Antioch and Syria and
Cilicia:
and sent them with this letter: The apostles and the elders, your brothers, To the brothers
among the Gentiles in Antioch, Syria, and
Cilicia: Greetings.
And a certain woman named
Lydia, a seller of purple, of the city of
Thyatira, which worshipped God, heard us: whose heart the Lord opened, that she attended unto the things which were spoken of Paul.
Among those
listening was a woman named
Lydia, a dealer in purple cloth from the city of
Thyatira, who was a worshiper of God. The Lord opened her heart to
respond to Paul’s message.
So Paul departed from among them.
But some joined him and believed, including
Dionysius the
Areopagite, a woman named Damaris, and others who were with them.
And he continued there a year and six months, teaching the word of God among them.
So Paul stayed for a year and a half, teaching the word of God
among the
Corinthians.
And now, behold, I know that ye all, among whom I have gone preaching the kingdom of God, shall see my face no more.
Now I know that none of you among whom I have preached the kingdom will see my face again.
For I know this, that after my departing shall
grievous wolves enter in
among you, not
sparing the flock.
I know that after my departure, savage
wolves will come in
among you and will not
spare the flock.
And now, brethren, I
commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance
among all them which are
sanctified.
And now I commit you to God and to the word of His grace, which can build you up and give you an inheritance
among all who are
sanctified.
And when he had
saluted them, he declared particularly what things God had wrought
among the Gentiles by his ministry.

greeted them and recounted one by one the things that God had done
among the Gentiles through his ministry.
And they are informed of thee, that thou teachest all the Jews which are
among the Gentiles to
forsake Moses, saying that they ought not to
circumcise their children, neither to walk after the customs.
But they are under the impression that you teach all the Jews who live
among the Gentiles to
forsake Moses, telling them not to
circumcise their children or observe our customs.
And some
cried one thing, some another,
among the multitude: and when he could not know the certainty for the
tumult, he commanded him to be carried into the castle.
Some in the crowd were
shouting one thing, and some another. And since the commander could not get at the truth because of the
uproar, he ordered that Paul be brought into the
barracks.
And when there arose a great
dissension, the chief captain, fearing lest Paul should have been pulled in pieces of them, commanded the soldiers to go down, and to take him by force from
among them, and to bring him into the castle.
The dispute grew so violent that the commander was afraid they would
tear Paul to pieces. He ordered the soldiers to go down and remove him by force and bring him into the
barracks.
