I say then, Have they
stumbled that they should fall? God
forbid: but rather through their fall salvation is come unto the Gentiles, for to
provoke them to jealousy.
I
ask then, did they
stumble so as to fall beyond recovery? Certainly not! However, because of their
trespass, salvation has come to the Gentiles to make Israel
jealous.
Eat anything sold in the meat market without raising questions of conscience,
If any of them that believe not
bid you to a feast, and ye be disposed to go;
whatsoever is set before you, eat,
asking no question for conscience sake.
If an unbeliever invites you to a meal and you want to go, eat anything set before you without raising questions of conscience.

But someone will ask, “How are the dead raised? With what kind of body will they come?”
Now for a recompence in the same, (I speak as unto my children,) be ye also enlarged.
As a fair exchange, I ask you as my children: Open wide your hearts also.
Only they would that we should remember the poor; the same which I also was forward to do.
They only asked us to remember the poor, the very thing I was eager to do.
The eyes of your understanding being
enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,
I
ask that the eyes of your heart may be
enlightened, so that you may know the hope of His calling, the riches of His glorious inheritance in the saints,
Wherefore I desire that ye
faint not at my tribulations for you, which is your glory.
So I ask you not to be discouraged because of my sufferings for you, which are your glory.

I
ask that out of the riches of His glory He may
strengthen you with power through His Spirit in your inner being,
Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,
Now to Him who is able to do
immeasurably more than all we
ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us,
And I intreat thee also, true
yokefellow, help those women which laboured with me in the gospel, with Clement also, and with other my fellowlabourers, whose names are in the book of life.
Yes, and I
ask you, my true
yokefellow, to help these women who have labored with me for the gospel, along with Clement and the rest of my fellow workers, whose names are in the Book of Life.
For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;
For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you and asking God to fill you with the knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding,
Furthermore then we
beseech you, brethren, and
exhort you by the Lord Jesus, that as ye have received of us how ye ought to walk and to please God, so ye would abound more and more.
Finally, brothers, we
ask and
encourage you in the Lord Jesus to live in a way that is pleasing to God, just as you have received from us. This is how you already live, so you should do so all the more.
And we
beseech you, brethren, to know them which labour among you, and are over you in the Lord, and
admonish you;
But we
ask you, brothers, to acknowledge those who work
diligently among you, who preside over you in the Lord and give you instruction.
Now we
beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him,
Now concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our being gathered together to Him, we ask you, brothers,

wilt also do more than I say.
Confident of your obedience, I write to you, knowing that you will do even more than I
ask.

But let him
ask in faith, nothing
wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and
tossed.
But he must
ask in faith, without doubting, because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea,
blown and
tossed by the wind.
Ye
lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye
ask not.
You
crave what you do not have; you kill and
covet, but are unable to obtain it. You quarrel and fight. You do not have, because you do not
ask.
Ye
ask, and receive not, because ye
ask amiss, that ye may
consume it upon your lusts.
And when you do
ask, you do not receive, because you
ask with wrong motives, that you may
squander it on your pleasures.
But
sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that
asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with
meekness and fear:
But in your hearts
sanctify Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give a
defense to
everyone who
asks you the reason for the hope that is in you. But
respond with gentleness and respect,
And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell
asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.
“Where is the promise of His coming?” they will
ask. “Ever since our fathers fell
asleep, everything continues as it has from the beginning of creation.”

whatsoever we
ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.

And this is the confidence that we have before Him: If we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.
And if we know that he hear us,
whatsoever we
ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.
And if we know that He hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we already possess what we have asked of Him.
If any man see his brother sin a sin which is not unto death, he shall ask, and he shall give him life for them that sin not unto death. There is a sin unto death: I do not say that he shall pray for it.
If
anyone sees his brother
committing a sin not leading to death, he should
ask God, who will give life to those who commit this kind of sin. There is a sin that leads to death; I am not saying he should
ask regarding that sin.

asked thee but only of the fire and wind, and of the day

shew thee; for I do not know it.

The hand of man is
betwixt the
heel and the hand: other question,
Esdras,
ask thou not.

whereof earthen vessels are made, but little dust that gold cometh of: even so is the course of this present world.
And therefore ask thou no more questions concerning the multitude of them that perish.
For
ask the earth, and she shall tell thee, that it is she which ought to
mourn for the fall of so many that grow upon her.

despise not any counsel that is profitable.

asked my counsellors how this might be brought to pass, Aman, that

appetite, they
asked delicate meats.

morrow will he
ask it again: such an one is to be

sinned? do so no more, but
ask pardon for thy former sins.
