days in
futility, and their years in sudden terror.

day in thy courts is better than a thousand. I had rather be a
doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness.
For better is one
day in Your courts than a thousand elsewhere. I would rather be a
doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of the wicked.
Be
merciful unto me, O Lord: for I cry unto thee daily.

rejoice all the
day: and in thy righteousness shall they be
exalted.
They
rejoice in Your name all
day long, and in Your righteousness they
exult.

days of his youth; You have covered him with shame.
Selah For a thousand years in thy sight are but as
yesterday when it is past, and as a watch in the night.
For in Your sight a thousand years are but a day that passes, or a watch of the night.
For all our
days are passed away in thy wrath: we
spend our years as a tale that is told.
For all our
days decline in Your
fury; we finish our years with a
sigh.
The
days of our years are
threescore years and ten; and if by reason of strength they be
fourscore years, yet is their strength labour and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away.
The length of our days is seventy years— or eighty if we are strong— yet their pride is but labor and sorrow, for they quickly pass, and we fly away.
So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.
So teach us to number our days, that we may present a heart of wisdom.
