And
Elisha said unto the king of Israel, What have I to do with thee? get thee to the prophets of thy father, and to the prophets of thy mother. And the king of Israel said unto him,
Nay: for the LORD hath called these three kings together, to
deliver them into the hand of Moab.
Elisha, however, said to the king of Israel, “What have we to do with each other? Go to the prophets of your father and of your mother!” “No,” replied the king of Israel, “for it is the LORD who has summoned these three kings to
deliver them into the hand of Moab.”
And this is but a light thing in the sight of the LORD: he will deliver the Moabites also into your hand.
This is a simple matter in the sight of the LORD, and He will also deliver the Moabites into your hand.
Now
Naaman, captain of the host of the king of Syria, was a great man with his master, and honourable, because by him the LORD had given
deliverance unto Syria: he was also a mighty man in valour, but he was a
leper.
Now
Naaman, the commander of the army of the king of
Aram, was a great man in his master’s sight and highly regarded, for through him the LORD had given victory to
Aram. And he was a mighty man of
valor, but he was a
leper.
And when they went in to offer sacrifices and burnt offerings,
Jehu appointed
fourscore men without, and said, If any of the men whom I have brought into your hands escape, he that letteth him go, his life shall be for the life of him.
And they went in to offer sacrifices and burnt offerings. Now
Jehu had stationed eighty men outside and
warned them, “If
anyone allows one of the men I am
delivering into your hands to escape, he will
forfeit his life for theirs.”
Then king Jehoash called for Jehoiada the priest, and the other priests, and said unto them, Why repair ye not the breaches of the house? now therefore receive no more money of your acquaintance, but deliver it for the breaches of the house.
So King
Joash called Jehoiada and the other priests and said, “Why have you not repaired the damage to the temple? Now, therefore, take no more money from your
constituency, but hand it over for the repair of the temple.”
Moreover they reckoned not with the men, into whose hand they delivered the money to be bestowed on workmen: for they dealt faithfully.

integrity.
And the anger of the LORD was
kindled against Israel, and he
delivered them into the hand of
Hazael king of Syria, and into the hand of Ben-
hadad the son of
Hazael, all their days.
So the anger of the LORD burned against Israel, and He
delivered them continually into the hands of
Hazael king of
Aram and his son Ben-
hadad.
(And the LORD gave Israel a saviour, so that they went out from under the hand of the Syrians: and the children of Israel dwelt in their tents, as
beforetime.

And he said, Open the window eastward. And he opened it. Then
Elisha said, Shoot. And he shot. And he said, The
arrow of the LORD’S
deliverance, and the
arrow of
deliverance from Syria: for thou shalt
smite the Syrians in Aphek, till thou have consumed them.
“Open the east window,” said
Elisha. So he opened it and
Elisha said, “Shoot!” So he shot. And
Elisha declared: “This is the LORD’s
arrow of victory, the
arrow of victory over
Aram, for you shall strike the Arameans in Aphek until you have put an end to them.”
Yet the LORD
testified against Israel, and against Judah, by all the prophets, and by all the seers, saying, Turn ye from your evil ways, and keep my commandments and my statutes, according to all the law which I commanded your fathers, and which I sent to you by my servants the prophets.
Yet through all His prophets and seers, the LORD
warned Israel and Judah, saying, “Turn from your wicked ways and keep My commandments and statutes, according to the entire Law that I commanded your fathers and
delivered to you through My servants the prophets.”
And the LORD rejected all the seed of Israel, and
afflicted them, and
delivered them into the hand of spoilers, until he had cast them out of his sight.

afflicted them and
delivered them into the hands of plunderers, until He had banished them from His presence.

but worship the LORD your God, and He will deliver you from the hands of all your enemies.”
Now therefore, I pray thee, give pledges to my lord the king of Assyria, and I will deliver thee two thousand horses, if thou be able on thy part to set riders upon them.
Now, therefore, make a
bargain with my master, the king of Assyria. I will give you two thousand horses—if you can put riders on them!
Thus saith the king, Let not
Hezekiah deceive you: for he shall not be able to
deliver you out of his hand:
This is what the king says: Do not let
Hezekiah deceive you; he cannot
deliver you from my hand.
Neither let
Hezekiah make you trust in the LORD, saying, The LORD will surely
deliver us, and this city shall not be
delivered into the hand of the king of Assyria.
Do not let
Hezekiah persuade you to trust in the LORD when he says, ‘The LORD will surely
deliver us; this city will not be given into the hand of the king of Assyria.’
Until I come and take you away to a land like your own land, a land of corn and wine, a land of bread and vineyards, a land of oil olive and of honey, that ye may live, and not die: and
hearken not unto
Hezekiah, when he persuadeth you, saying, The LORD will
deliver us.
until I come and take you away to a land like your own—a land of grain and new wine, a land of bread and vineyards, a land of olive trees and honey—so that you may live and not die. But do not
listen to
Hezekiah, for he misleads you when he says, ‘The LORD will
deliver us.’
Hath any of the gods of the nations delivered at all his land out of the hand of the king of Assyria?
Has the god of any nation ever delivered his land from the hand of the king of Assyria?
Where are the gods of
Hamath, and of Arpad? where are the gods of
Sepharvaim, Hena, and Ivah? have they
delivered Samaria out of mine hand?
Where are the gods of
Hamath and Arpad? Where are the gods of
Sepharvaim, Hena, and Ivvah? Have they
delivered Samaria from my hand?
Who are they among all the gods of the countries, that have delivered their country out of mine hand, that the LORD should deliver Jerusalem out of mine hand?
Who among all the gods of these lands has delivered his land from my hand? How then can the LORD deliver Jerusalem from my hand?”
And they said unto him, Thus saith
Hezekiah, This day is a day of trouble, and of
rebuke, and
blasphemy: for the children are come to the birth, and there is not strength to bring forth.
to tell him, “This is what
Hezekiah says:
Today is a day of distress,
rebuke, and disgrace; for children have come to the point of birth, but there is no strength to
deliver them.
Thus shall ye speak to
Hezekiah king of Judah, saying, Let not thy God in whom thou trustest
deceive thee, saying, Jerusalem shall not be
delivered into the hand of the king of Assyria.
“Give this message to
Hezekiah king of Judah: ‘Do not let your God, in whom you trust,
deceive you by saying that Jerusalem will not be
delivered into the hand of the king of Assyria.
Behold, thou hast heard what the kings of Assyria have done to all lands, by destroying them utterly: and shalt thou be delivered?
Surely you have heard what the kings of Assyria have done to all the other countries,
devoting them to destruction. Will you then be
spared?
Have the gods of the nations
delivered them which my fathers have destroyed; as Gozan, and
Haran, and Rezeph, and the children of
Eden which were in Thelasar?
Did the gods of the nations destroyed by my fathers
rescue those nations—the gods of Gozan,
Haran, and Rezeph, and of the people of
Eden in Telassar?
And I will add unto thy days fifteen years; and I will deliver thee and this city out of the hand of the king of Assyria; and I will defend this city for mine own sake, and for my servant David’s sake.
I will add fifteen years to your life. And I will deliver you and this city from the hand of the king of Assyria. I will defend this city for My sake and for the sake of My servant David.’”
And I will
forsake the
remnant of mine inheritance, and
deliver them into the hand of their enemies; and they shall become a prey and a
spoil to all their enemies;
So I will
forsake the
remnant of My inheritance and
deliver them into the hands of their enemies. And they will become
plunder and
spoil to all their enemies,
And let them deliver it into the hand of the doers of the work, that have the oversight of the house of the LORD: and let them give it to the doers of the work which is in the house of the LORD, to repair the breaches of the house,
And let them deliver it into the hands of the supervisors of those doing the work on the house of the LORD, who in turn are to give it to the workmen repairing the damages to the house of the LORD—
Howbeit there was no
reckoning made with them of the money that was
delivered into their hand, because they dealt faithfully.

integrity.”
And Shaphan the
scribe came to the king, and brought the king word again, and said, Thy servants have gathered the money that was found in the house, and have
delivered it into the hand of them that do the work, that have the oversight of the house of the LORD.
And Shaphan the
scribe went to the king and reported, “Your servants have paid out the money that was found in the temple and have put it into the hands of the workers and supervisors of the house of the LORD.”
And Shaphan the
scribe shewed the king, saying, Hilkiah the priest hath
delivered me a book. And Shaphan read it before the king.
Moreover, Shaphan the
scribe told the king, “Hilkiah the priest has given me a book.” And Shaphan read it in the presence of the king.
And they were helped against them, and the Hagarites were
delivered into their hand, and all that were with them: for they
cried to God in the battle, and he was intreated of them; because they put their trust in him.
And because they
cried out to God in battle, they were helped against their enemies, and the Hagrites and all their allies were
delivered into their hands. Because they put their trust in God, He answered their prayers.
And they set themselves in the midst of that
parcel, and
delivered it, and
slew the Philistines; and the LORD saved them by a great
deliverance.
But
Eleazar and David stationed themselves in the middle of the field and defended it. They struck down the Philistines, and the LORD brought about a great victory.
And David enquired of God, saying, Shall I go up against the Philistines? and
wilt thou
deliver them into mine hand? And the LORD said unto him, Go up; for I will
deliver them into thine hand.
So David inquired of God, “Should I go up against the Philistines? Will You deliver them into my hand?” “Go,” replied the LORD, “for I will deliver them into your hand.”
Then on that day David
delivered first this
psalm to
thank the LORD into the hand of
Asaph and his brethren.
On that day David first committed to
Asaph and his brothers this song of
thanksgiving to the LORD:
And say ye, Save us, O God of our salvation, and gather us together, and
deliver us from the heathen, that we may give
thanks to thy holy name, and glory in thy praise.
Then cry out: ‘Save us, O God of our salvation; gather and
deliver us from the nations, that we may give
thanks to Your holy name, that we may glory in Your praise.’
And the rest of the people he
delivered unto the hand of
Abishai his brother, and they set themselves in
array against the children of
Ammon.
And he placed the rest of the forces under the command of his brother
Abishai, who
arrayed them against the
Ammonites.
If they sin against thee, (for there is no man which sinneth not,) and thou be
angry with them, and
deliver them over before their enemies, and they carry them away
captives unto a land far off or near;
When they sin against You—for there is no one who does not sin—and You become
angry with them and
deliver them to an enemy who takes them as
captives to a land far or near,
And Huram sent him by the hands of his servants ships, and servants that had knowledge of the sea; and they went with the servants of Solomon to
Ophir, and took thence four hundred and fifty talents of gold, and brought them to king Solomon.
So
Hiram sent him ships captained by his servants, along with crews of experienced sailors. They went with Solomon’s servants to
Ophir and acquired from there 450 talents of gold, which they
delivered to King Solomon.
And when the LORD saw that they humbled themselves, the word of the LORD came to Shemaiah, saying, They have humbled themselves; therefore I will not destroy them, but I will grant them some
deliverance; and my wrath shall not be poured out upon Jerusalem by the hand of
Shishak.
When the LORD saw that they had humbled themselves, the word of the LORD came to Shemaiah, saying, “They have humbled themselves; I will not destroy them, but will soon grant them
deliverance. My wrath will not be poured out on Jerusalem through
Shishak.
And the children of Israel fled before Judah: and God delivered them into their hand.
So the Israelites fled before Judah, and God delivered them into their hands.
Were not the Ethiopians and the Lubims a huge host, with very many
chariots and
horsemen? yet, because thou
didst rely on the LORD, he
delivered them into thine hand.
Were not the Cushites and Libyans a vast army with many
chariots and
horsemen? Yet because you
relied on the LORD, He
delivered them into your hand.
Therefore the king of Israel gathered together of prophets four hundred men, and said unto them, Shall we go to
Ramoth-
gilead to battle, or shall I
forbear? And they said, Go up; for God will
deliver it into the king’s hand.
So the king of Israel assembled the prophets, four hundred men, and asked them, “Should we go to war against
Ramoth-
gilead, or should we
refrain?” “Go up,” they replied, “and God will
deliver it into the hand of the king.”
And when he was come to the king, the king said unto him, Micaiah, shall we go to
Ramoth-
gilead to battle, or shall I
forbear? And he said, Go ye up, and
prosper, and they shall be
delivered into your hand.
When Micaiah arrived, the king asked him, “Micaiah, should we go to war against
Ramoth-
gilead, or should we
refrain?” “Go up and triumph,” Micaiah replied, “for they will be given into your hand.”
Moreover Jehoiada the priest delivered to the captains of hundreds spears, and bucklers, and shields, that had been king David’s, which were in the house of God.

For the army of the Syrians came with a small company of men, and the LORD
delivered a very great host into their hand, because they had
forsaken the LORD God of their fathers. So they executed judgment against
Joash.
Although the
Aramean army had come with only a few men, the LORD
delivered into their hand a very great army. Because Judah had
forsaken the LORD, the God of their fathers, judgment was executed on
Joash.
Wherefore the anger of the LORD was
kindled against
Amaziah, and he sent unto him a prophet, which said unto him, Why hast thou sought after the gods of the people, which could not
deliver their own people out of thine hand?
Therefore the anger of the LORD burned against
Amaziah, and He sent him a prophet, who said, “Why have you sought this people’s gods, which could not
deliver them from your hand?”
But
Amaziah would not hear; for it came of God, that he might
deliver them into the hand of their enemies, because they sought after the gods of
Edom.
But
Amaziah would not
listen, for this had come from God in order to
deliver them into the hand of Jehoash, because they had sought the gods of
Edom.
Wherefore the LORD his God
delivered him into the hand of the king of Syria; and they
smote him, and carried away a great multitude of them
captives, and brought them to Damascus. And he was also
delivered into the hand of the king of Israel, who
smote him with a great slaughter.
So the LORD his God
delivered Ahaz into the hand of the king of
Aram, who attacked him and took many
captives to Damascus.
Ahaz was also
delivered into the hand of the king of Israel, who struck him with great force.
But a prophet of the LORD was there, whose name was
Oded: and he went out before the host that came to Samaria, and said unto them, Behold, because the LORD God of your fathers was
wroth with Judah, he hath
delivered them into your hand, and ye have slain them in a
rage that reacheth up unto heaven.
But a prophet of the LORD named
Oded was there, and he went out to meet the army that returned to Samaria. “Look,” he said to them, “because of His wrath against Judah, the LORD, the God of your fathers, has
delivered them into your hand. But you have slaughtered them in a
rage that reaches up to heaven.
Now hear me therefore, and
deliver the
captives again, which ye have taken
captive of your brethren: for the fierce wrath of the LORD is upon you.
Now therefore,
listen to me and return the
captives you took from your
kinsmen, for the fierce anger of the LORD is upon you.”
Wherefore the wrath of the LORD was upon Judah and Jerusalem, and he hath
delivered them to trouble, to
astonishment, and to
hissing, as ye see with your eyes.
Therefore, the wrath of the LORD has fallen upon Judah and Jerusalem, and He has made them an object of terror,
horror, and
mockery, as you can see with your own eyes.
Is not
Hezekiah misleading you to give you over to death by famine and
thirst when he says, ‘The LORD our God will
deliver us from the hand of the king of Assyria?’
Know ye not what I and my fathers have done unto all the people of other lands? were the gods of the nations of those lands any ways able to deliver their lands out of mine hand?
Do you not know what I and my fathers have done to all the peoples of the lands? Have the gods of these nations ever been able to deliver their land from my hand?
Who was there among all the gods of those nations that my fathers utterly destroyed, that could deliver his people out of mine hand, that your God should be able to deliver you out of mine hand?
Who among all the gods of these nations that my fathers devoted to destruction has been able to deliver his people from my hand? How then can your God deliver you from my hand?
Now therefore let not
Hezekiah deceive you, nor
persuade you on this manner, neither yet believe him: for no god of any nation or kingdom was able to
deliver his people out of mine hand, and out of the hand of my fathers: how much less shall your God
deliver you out of mine hand?
So now, do not let
Hezekiah deceive you, and do not let him mislead you like this. Do not believe him, for no god of any nation or kingdom has been able to
deliver his people from my hand or from the hand of my fathers. How much less will your God
deliver you from my hand!”
He wrote also letters to rail on the LORD God of Israel, and to speak against him, saying, As the gods of the nations of other lands have not
delivered their people out of mine hand, so shall not the God of
Hezekiah deliver his people out of mine hand.
He also wrote letters
mocking the LORD, the God of Israel, and saying against Him: “Just as the gods of the nations did not
deliver their people from my hand, so the God of
Hezekiah will not
deliver His people from my hand.”
And when they came to Hilkiah the high priest, they
delivered the money that was brought into the house of God, which the Levites that kept the doors had gathered of the hand of
Manasseh and Ephraim, and of all the
remnant of Israel, and of all Judah and Benjamin; and they returned to Jerusalem.
So they went to Hilkiah the high priest and gave him the money that had been brought into the house of God, which the Levites at the doors had collected from the people of
Manasseh and Ephraim, from all the
remnant of Israel, Judah, and Benjamin, and from the people of Jerusalem.
And Hilkiah answered and said to Shaphan the
scribe, I have found the book of the law in the house of the LORD. And Hilkiah
delivered the book to Shaphan.
And Hilkiah said to Shaphan the
scribe, “I have found the Book of the Law in the house of the LORD!” And he gave it to Shaphan.
And they have gathered together the money that was found in the house of the LORD, and have delivered it into the hand of the overseers, and to the hand of the workmen.
They have paid out the money that was found in the house of the LORD and have put it into the hands of the supervisors and workers.”
But after that our fathers had
provoked the God of heaven unto wrath, he gave them into the hand of
Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, the
Chaldean, who destroyed this house, and carried the people away into Babylon.
But since our fathers angered the God of heaven, He
delivered them into the hand of
Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, the
Chaldean who destroyed this temple and carried away the people to Babylon.
And the vessels also of gold and silver of the house of God, which
Nebuchadnezzar took out of the temple that was in Jerusalem, and brought them into the temple of Babylon, those did Cyrus the king take out of the temple of Babylon, and they were
delivered unto one, whose name was Sheshbazzar, whom he had made governor;
He also removed from the temple of Babylon the gold and silver articles belonging to the house of God, which
Nebuchadnezzar had taken and carried there from the temple in Jerusalem. King Cyrus gave these articles to a man named Sheshbazzar, whom he appointed governor
The vessels also that are given thee for the service of the house of thy God, those deliver thou before the God of Jerusalem.
You must deliver to the God of Jerusalem all the articles given to you for the service of the house of your God.
Then we departed from the river of
Ahava on the
twelfth day of the first month, to go unto Jerusalem: and the hand of our God was upon us, and he
delivered us from the hand of the enemy, and of such as lay in wait by the way.
On the
twelfth day of the first month we set out from the
Ahava Canal to go to Jerusalem, and the hand of our God was upon us to protect us from the hands of the enemies and
bandits along the way.
And they delivered the king’s commissions unto the king’s lieutenants, and to the governors on this side the river: and they furthered the people, and the house of God.
They also delivered the king’s edicts to the royal satraps and governors of the region west of the Euphrates, who proceeded to assist the people and the house of God.
Since the days of our fathers have we been in a great
trespass unto this day; and for our
iniquities have we, our kings, and our priests, been
delivered into the hand of the kings of the lands, to the sword, to captivity, and to a
spoil, and to confusion of face, as it is this day.
From the days of our fathers to this day, our guilt has been great. Because of our
iniquities, we and our kings and priests have been
delivered into the hands of the kings of the earth and put to the sword and captivity, to
pillage and
humiliation, as we are this day.
And after all that is come upon us for our evil deeds, and for our great
trespass, seeing that thou our God hast punished us less than our
iniquities deserve, and hast given us such
deliverance as this;
After all that has come upon us because of our evil deeds and our great guilt (though You, our God, have punished us less than our
iniquities deserve and have given us such a
remnant as this),
So the children went in and possessed the land, and thou subduedst before them the inhabitants of the land, the
Canaanites, and gavest them into their hands, with their kings, and the people of the land, that they might do with them as they would.
So their descendants went in and possessed the land; You subdued before them the
Canaanites dwelling in the land. You
delivered into their hands the kings and peoples of the land, to do with them as they wished.
Therefore thou
deliveredst them into the hand of their enemies, who
vexed them: and in the time of their trouble, when they
cried unto thee, thou heardest them from heaven; and according to thy
manifold mercies thou gavest them saviours, who saved them out of the hand of their enemies.
So You
delivered them into the hands of enemies who
oppressed them, and in their time of distress they
cried out to You. From heaven You heard them, and in Your great
compassion You gave them
deliverers who saved them from the hands of their enemies.
But after they had rest, they did evil again before thee: therefore leftest thou them in the hand of their enemies, so that they had the dominion over them: yet when they returned, and
cried unto thee, thou heardest them from heaven; and many times
didst thou
deliver them according to thy
mercies;
But as soon as they had rest, they again did evil in Your sight. So You abandoned them to the hands of their enemies, who had dominion over them. When they
cried out to You again, You heard from heaven, and You
delivered them many times in Your
compassion.
What shall we do unto the queen Vashti according to law, because she hath not performed the commandment of the king
Ahasuerus by the chamberlains?
“According to law,” he asked, “what should be done with Queen Vashti, since she refused to obey the command of King
Xerxes delivered by the eunuchs?”
For if thou altogether holdest thy peace at this time, then shall there
enlargement and
deliverance arise to the Jews from another place; but thou and thy father’s house shall be destroyed: and who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this?
For if you remain silent at this time, relief and
deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your father’s house will perish. And who knows if perhaps you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this?”
And let this
apparel and horse be
delivered to the hand of one of the king’s most noble princes, that they may
array the man
withal whom the king delighteth to honour, and bring him on
horseback through the street of the city, and
proclaim before him, Thus shall it be done to the man whom the king delighteth to honour.
Let the
robe and the horse be entrusted to one of the king’s most noble princes. Let them
array the man the king wants to honor and
parade him on the horse through the city square,
proclaiming before him, ‘This is what is done for the man whom the king is delighted to honor!’”
His children are far from safety, and they are
crushed in the gate, neither is there any to
deliver them.
His sons are far from safety,
crushed in court without a defender.
He shall
deliver thee in six troubles:
yea, in seven there shall no evil touch thee.
Or,
Deliver me from the enemy’s hand? or,
Redeem me from the hand of the mighty?
Thou knowest that I am not wicked; and there is none that can deliver out of thine hand.
though You know that I am not guilty, and there is no
deliverance from Your hand?
God hath delivered me to the ungodly, and turned me over into the hands of the wicked.
God has
delivered me to unjust men; He has thrown me to the
clutches of the wicked.
That the wicked is reserved to the day of destruction? they shall be brought forth to the day of wrath.
Indeed, the evil man is
spared from the day of
calamity,
delivered from the day of wrath.
He shall deliver the island of the innocent: and it is delivered by the pureness of thine hands.
He will
deliver even one who is not innocent,
rescuing him through the cleanness of your hands.”
There the righteous might dispute with him; so should I be delivered for ever from my judge.
Then an upright man could reason with Him, and I would be
delivered forever from my Judge.
Because I
delivered the poor that
cried, and the fatherless, and him that had none to help him.
because I
rescued the poor who
cried out and the fatherless who had no helper.
Then he is
gracious unto him, and saith,
Deliver him from going down to the pit: I have found a
ransom.
to be
gracious to him and say, ‘
Spare him from going down to the Pit; I have found his
ransom,’
He will deliver his soul from going into the pit, and his life shall see the light.
He redeemed my soul from going down to the Pit, and I will live to see the light.’
He
delivereth the poor in his
affliction, and openeth their ears in oppression.
Because there is wrath,
beware lest he take thee away with his stroke: then a great
ransom cannot
deliver thee.
Be careful that no one lures you with riches; do not let a large
bribe lead you
astray.
They bow themselves, they bring forth their young ones, they cast out their sorrows.
They
crouch down and bring forth their young; they
deliver their
newborn.
Many there be which say of my soul, There is no help for him in God.
Selah.
Many say of me, “God will not
deliver him.”
Selah Return, O LORD,
deliver my soul: oh save me for thy
mercies’ sake.
Turn, O LORD, and deliver my soul; save me because of Your loving devotion.
O Lord my God, in thee do I put my trust: save me from all them that
persecute me, and
deliver me:
O LORD my God, I take refuge in You; save me and deliver me from all my pursuers,
Lest he
tear my soul like a lion,
rending it in pieces, while there is none to
deliver.
or they will
shred my soul like a lion and
tear me to pieces with no one to
rescue me.
If I have rewarded evil unto him that was at peace with me; (
yea, I have
delivered him that without cause is mine enemy:)
if I have rewarded my ally with evil, if I have
plundered my
foe without cause,
Arise, O LORD,
disappoint him, cast him down:
deliver my soul from the wicked, which is thy sword:
Arise, O LORD,
confront them! Bring them to their knees;
deliver me from the wicked by Your sword,
The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my
deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my
buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.
The LORD is my rock, my fortress, and my
deliverer. My God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my
stronghold.
He
delivered me from my strong enemy, and from them which
hated me: for they were too strong for me.
He
rescued me from my powerful enemy, from foes too mighty for me.
He brought me forth also into a large place; he delivered me, because he delighted in me.
He brought me out into the open; He
