And if a man lie not in wait, but God
deliver him into his hand; then I will
appoint thee a place
whither he shall
flee.

appoint for you a place where he may
flee.

deliver unto his neighbour money or stuff to keep, and it be
stolen out of the man’s house; if the

deliver unto his neighbour an
ass, or an ox, or a sheep, or any beast, to keep; and it die, or be

neighbor, but it dies or is injured or
stolen while no one is watching,

trespass against the LORD, and lie unto his neighbour in that which was

deceived his neighbour;

deceiving his
neighbor in regard to a deposit or security entrusted to him or
stolen, or if he extorts his
neighbor Then it shall be, because he hath
sinned, and is guilty, that he shall restore that which he took violently away, or the thing which he hath
deceitfully gotten, or that which was
delivered him to keep, or the lost thing which he found,

sinned and becomes guilty, he must return what he has
stolen or taken by
extortion, or the deposit entrusted to him, or the lost property he found,
And I will bring a sword upon you, that shall
avenge the quarrel of my covenant: and when ye are gathered together within your cities, I will send the
pestilence among you; and ye shall be
delivered into the hand of the enemy.

execute the
vengeance of the covenant. Though you withdraw into your cities, I will send a plague among you, and you will be
delivered into the hand of the enemy.

bake your bread in one
oven, and they shall

bake your bread in a single
oven and
dole out your bread by weight, so that you will eat but not be satisfied.

vowed a
vow unto the LORD, and said, If thou
wilt indeed
deliver this people into my hand, then I will utterly destroy their cities.

deliver this people into our hands, we will
devote their cities to destruction.”
And the LORD
hearkened to the voice of Israel, and
delivered up the
Canaanites; and they utterly destroyed them and their cities: and he called the name of the place Hormah.
And the LORD heard Israel’s
plea and
delivered up the
Canaanites. Israel devoted them and their cities to destruction; so they named the place Hormah.

delivered him into thy hand, and all his people, and his land; and thou shalt do to him as thou
didst unto Sihon king of the

But the LORD said to Moses, “Do not fear him, for I have
delivered him into your hand, along with all his people and his land. Do to him as you did to Sihon king of the
Amorites, who lived in
Heshbon.”

deliver the
slayer out of the hand of the
revenger of blood, and the congregation shall restore him to the city of his refuge,
whither he was fled: and he shall
abide in it unto the death of the high priest, which was
anointed with the holy oil.
The assembly is to protect the
manslayer from the hand of the
avenger of blood. Then the assembly will return him to the city of refuge to which he fled, and he must live there until the death of the high priest, who was
anointed with the holy oil.
And ye
murmured in your tents, and said, Because the LORD
hated us, he hath brought us forth out of the land of Egypt, to
deliver us into the hand of the
Amorites, to destroy us.
You grumbled in your tents and said, “Because the LORD hates us, He has brought us out of the land of Egypt to
deliver us into the hand of the
Amorites to be
annihilated.
Rise ye up, take your journey, and pass over the river
Arnon: behold, I have given into thine hand Sihon the Amorite, king of
Heshbon, and his land: begin to possess it, and
contend with him in battle.
“Arise, set out, and cross the
Arnon Valley. See, I have
delivered into your hand Sihon the Amorite, king of
Heshbon, and his land. Begin to take possession of it and
engage him in battle.
But Sihon king of
Heshbon would not let us pass by him: for the LORD thy God
hardened his spirit, and made his heart
obstinate, that he might
deliver him into thy hand, as appeareth this day.
But Sihon king of
Heshbon would not let us pass through, for the LORD your God had made his spirit
stubborn and his heart
obstinate, that He might
deliver him into your hand, as is the case this day.
And the LORD said unto me, Behold, I have begun to give Sihon and his land before thee: begin to possess, that thou mayest
inherit his land.
Then the LORD said to me, “See, I have begun to
deliver Sihon and his land over to you. Now begin to
conquer and possess his land.”
And the LORD our God
delivered him before us; and we
smote him, and his sons, and all his people.
And the LORD our God delivered him over to us, and we defeated him and his sons and his whole army.
From Aroer, which is by the
brink of the river of
Arnon, and from the city that is by the river, even unto
Gilead, there was not one city too strong for us: the LORD our God
delivered all unto us:
From Aroer on the
rim of the
Arnon Valley, along with the city in the valley, even as far as
Gilead, not one city had walls too high for us. The LORD our God gave us all of them.
And the LORD said unto me, Fear him not: for I will
deliver him, and all his people, and his land, into thy hand; and thou shalt do unto him as thou
didst unto Sihon king of the
Amorites, which dwelt at
Heshbon.
But the LORD said to me, “Do not fear him, for I have
delivered him into your hand, along with all his people and his land. Do to him as you did to Sihon king of the
Amorites, who lived in
Heshbon.”
So the LORD our God
delivered into our hands
Og also, the king of
Bashan, and all his people: and we
smote him until none was left to him remaining.

delivered Og king of
Bashan and his whole army into our hands. We struck them down until no
survivor was left.
These words the LORD spake unto all your assembly in the mount out of the midst of the fire, of the cloud, and of the thick darkness, with a great voice: and he added no more. And he wrote them in two tables of stone, and delivered them unto me.

And when the LORD thy God shall
deliver them before thee; thou shalt
smite them, and utterly destroy them; thou shalt make no covenant with them, nor
shew mercy unto them:
and when the LORD your God has
delivered them over to you to defeat them, then you must
devote them to complete destruction. Make no treaty with them and show them no mercy.
And thou shalt
consume all the people which the LORD thy God shall
deliver thee; thine eye shall have no
pity upon them: neither shalt thou serve their gods; for that will be a
snare unto thee.
You must destroy all the peoples the LORD your God will
deliver to you. Do not look on them with
pity. Do not worship their gods, for that will be a
snare to you.
But the LORD thy God shall deliver them unto thee, and shall destroy them with a mighty destruction, until they be destroyed.
But the LORD your God will give them over to you and throw them into great confusion, until they are destroyed.
And he shall deliver their kings into thine hand, and thou shalt destroy their name from under heaven: there shall no man be able to stand before thee, until thou have destroyed them.
He will hand their kings over to you, and you will
wipe out their names from under heaven. No one will be able to stand against you; you will
annihilate them.
And the LORD delivered unto me two tables of stone written with the finger of God; and on them was written according to all the words, which the LORD spake with you in the mount out of the midst of the fire in the day of the assembly.
Then the LORD gave me the two stone tablets, inscribed by the finger of God with the exact words that the LORD spoke to you out of the fire on the mountain on the day of the assembly.
Then the elders of his city shall send and
fetch him thence, and
deliver him into the hand of the
avenger of blood, that he may die.
the elders of his city must send for him, bring him back, and hand him over to the
avenger of blood to die.
And when the LORD thy God hath
delivered it into thine hands, thou shalt
smite every male thereof with the edge of the sword:
When the LORD your God has delivered it into your hand, you must put every male to the sword.
When thou goest forth to war against thine enemies, and the LORD thy God hath
delivered them into thine hands, and thou hast taken them
captive,
When you go to war against your enemies and the LORD your God
delivers them into your hand and you take them
captive,
For the LORD thy God walketh in the midst of thy camp, to deliver thee, and to give up thine enemies before thee; therefore shall thy camp be holy: that he see no unclean thing in thee, and turn away from thee.
For the LORD your God walks throughout your camp to protect you and deliver your enemies to you. Your camp must be holy, lest He see anything unclean among you and turn away from you.
Thou shalt not deliver unto his master the servant which is escaped from his master unto thee:
Do not return a slave to his master if he has taken refuge with you.
In any case thou shalt
deliver him the
pledge again when the sun goeth down, that he may sleep in his own
raiment, and
bless thee: and it shall be righteousness unto thee before the LORD thy God.
be sure to return it to him by
sunset, so that he may sleep in his own
cloak and
bless you, and this will be credited to you as righteousness before the LORD your God.
When men
strive together one with another, and the wife of the one draweth near for to
deliver her husband out of the hand of him that smiteth him, and putteth forth her hand, and taketh him by the secrets:
If two men are fighting, and the wife of one steps in to
rescue her husband from the one striking him, and she reaches out her hand and grabs his
genitals,
And the LORD shall give them up before your face, that ye may do unto them according unto all the commandments which I have commanded you.
The LORD will deliver them over to you, and you must do to them exactly as I have commanded you.
And Moses wrote this law, and delivered it unto the priests the sons of Levi, which bare the ark of the covenant of the LORD, and unto all the elders of Israel.

See now that I, even I, am he, and there is no god with me: I kill, and I make alive; I wound, and I
heal: neither is there any that can
deliver out of my hand.
See now that I am He; there is no God besides Me. I bring death and I give life; I wound and I
heal, and there is no one who can
deliver from My hand.
And that ye will save alive my father, and my mother, and my brethren, and my sisters, and all that they have, and deliver our lives from death.
that you will
spare the lives of my father and mother, my brothers and sisters, and all who belong to them, and that you will
deliver us from death.”
And they said unto Joshua, Truly the LORD hath
delivered into our hands all the land; for even all the inhabitants of the country do
faint because of us.
“The LORD has surely delivered the entire land into our hands,” they said to Joshua. “Indeed, all who dwell in the land are melting in fear of us.”
And the LORD said unto Joshua, See, I have given into thine hand
Jericho, and the king thereof, and the mighty men of valour.
And the LORD said to Joshua, “Behold, I have
delivered Jericho into your hand, along with its king and its mighty men of
valor.
And Joshua said,
Alas, O Lord GOD, wherefore hast thou at all brought this people over Jordan, to
deliver us into the hand of the
Amorites, to destroy us? would to God we had been content, and dwelt on the other side Jordan!
“O, Lord GOD,” Joshua said, “why did You ever bring this people across the Jordan to
deliver us into the hand of the
Amorites to be destroyed? If only we had been content to stay on the other side of the Jordan!
And the LORD said unto Joshua, Fear not, neither be thou dismayed: take all the people of war with thee, and arise, go up to
Ai: see, I have given into thy hand the king of
Ai, and his people, and his city, and his land:
Then the LORD said to Joshua, “Do not be afraid or discouraged. Take the whole army with you, and go up and attack
Ai. See, I have
delivered into your hand the king of
Ai, his people, his city, and his land.
Then ye shall rise up from the
ambush, and seize upon the city: for the LORD your God will
deliver it into your hand.
you are to rise from the
ambush and seize the city, for the LORD your God will
deliver it into your hand.
And the LORD said unto Joshua, Stretch out the
spear that is in thy hand toward
Ai; for I will give it into thine hand. And Joshua stretched out the
spear that he had in his hand toward the city.
Then the LORD said to Joshua, “Hold out your battle
lance toward
Ai, for into your hand I will
deliver the city.” So Joshua held out his battle
lance toward
Ai,
And so did he unto them, and
delivered them out of the hand of the children of Israel, that they
slew them not.
So Joshua did this and delivered them from the hands of the Israelites, and they did not kill the Gibeonites.
And the LORD said unto Joshua, Fear them not: for I have delivered them into thine hand; there shall not a man of them stand before thee.
The LORD said to Joshua, “Do not be afraid of them, for I have delivered them into your hand. Not one of them shall stand against you.”
Then spake Joshua to the LORD in the day when the LORD
delivered up the
Amorites before the children of Israel, and he said in the sight of Israel, Sun, stand thou still upon
Gibeon; and thou, Moon, in the valley of Ajalon.
On the day that the LORD gave the
Amorites over to the Israelites, Joshua spoke to the LORD in the presence of Israel: “O sun, stand still over
Gibeon, O moon, over the Valley of
Aijalon.”
And stay ye not, but pursue after your enemies, and
smite the
hindmost of them; suffer them not to enter into their cities: for the LORD your God hath
delivered them into your hand.
But you, do not stop there. Pursue your enemies and attack them from behind. Do not let them reach their cities, for the LORD your God has delivered them into your hand.”
And the LORD
delivered it also, and the king thereof, into the hand of Israel; and he
smote it with the edge of the sword, and all the souls that were therein; he let none remain in it; but did unto the king thereof as he did unto the king of
Jericho.
And the LORD also
delivered that city and its king into the hand of Israel, and Joshua put all the people to the sword, leaving no survivors. And he did to the king of
Libnah as he had done to the king of
Jericho.
And the LORD
delivered Lachish into the hand of Israel, which took it on the second day, and
smote it with the edge of the sword, and all the souls that were therein, according to all that he had done to
Libnah.
And the LORD
delivered Lachish into the hand of Israel, and Joshua captured it on the second day. He put all the people to the sword, just as he had done to
Libnah.
And the LORD said unto Joshua, Be not afraid because of them: for to
morrow about this time will I
deliver them up all slain before Israel: thou shalt
hough their horses, and burn their
chariots with fire.
Then the LORD said to Joshua, “Do not be afraid of them, for by this time
tomorrow I will
deliver all of them slain before Israel. You are to
hamstring their horses and burn up their
chariots.”
And the LORD
delivered them into the hand of Israel, who
smote them, and
chased them unto great Zidon, and unto Misrephoth-
maim, and unto the valley of Mizpeh eastward; and they
smote them, until they left them none remaining.
and the LORD
delivered them into the hand of Israel, who struck them down and pursued them all the way to Greater
Sidon and Misrephoth-
maim, and eastward as far as the Valley of Mizpeh. They struck them down, leaving no survivors.
Now if the
avenger of blood pursues him, they must not surrender the
manslayer into his hand, because that man killed his
neighbor accidentally without prior
malice.
And the LORD gave them rest round about, according to all that he
sware unto their fathers: and there stood not a man of all their enemies before them; the LORD
delivered all their enemies into their hand.
And the LORD gave them rest on every side, just as He had
sworn to their fathers. None of their enemies could stand against them, for the LORD
delivered all their enemies into their hand.
And
Phinehas the son of
Eleazar the priest said unto the children of
Reuben, and to the children of
Gad, and to the children of
Manasseh, This day we perceive that the LORD is among us, because ye have not committed this
trespass against the LORD: now ye have
delivered the children of Israel out of the hand of the LORD.
Phinehas son of
Eleazar the priest said to the descendants of
Reuben,
Gad, and
Manasseh, “
Today we know that the LORD is among us, because you have not committed this breach of faith against Him. Consequently, you have
delivered the Israelites from the hand of the LORD.”
And I brought you into the land of the
Amorites, which dwelt on the other side Jordan; and they fought with you: and I gave them into your hand, that ye might possess their land; and I destroyed them from before you.
Later, I brought you to the land of the
Amorites who lived beyond the Jordan. They fought against you, but I
delivered them into your hand, that you should possess their land when I destroyed them before you.
But I would not
hearken unto
Balaam; therefore he blessed you still: so I
delivered you out of his hand.

listen to
Balaam. So he blessed you again and again, and I
delivered you from his hand.
And the LORD said, Judah shall go up: behold, I have delivered the land into his hand.

delivered the
Canaanites and the
Perizzites into their hand: and they
slew of them in Bezek ten thousand men.

delivered the
Canaanites and
Perizzites into their hands, and they struck down ten thousand men at Bezek.
And the anger of the LORD was hot against Israel, and he
delivered them into the hands of spoilers that
spoiled them, and he sold them into the hands of their enemies round about, so that they could not any longer stand before their enemies.
Then the anger of the LORD burned against Israel, and He
delivered them into the hands of those who
plundered them. He sold them into the hands of their enemies all around, whom they were no longer able to resist.
Nevertheless the LORD raised up judges, which
delivered them out of the hand of those that
spoiled them.
Then the LORD raised up judges, who saved them from the hands of those who
plundered them.
And when the LORD raised them up judges, then the LORD was with the judge, and
delivered them out of the hand of their enemies all the days of the judge: for it
repented the LORD because of their groanings by reason of them that
oppressed them and
vexed them.
Whenever the LORD raised up a judge for the Israelites, He was with that judge and saved them from the hands of their enemies while the judge was still alive; for the LORD was moved to
pity by their
groaning under those who
oppressed them and
afflicted them.
Therefore the LORD left those nations, without driving them out
hastily; neither
delivered he them into the hand of Joshua.
That is why the LORD had left those nations in place and had not driven them out immediately by delivering them into the hand of Joshua.
And when the children of Israel
cried unto the LORD, the LORD raised up a
deliverer to the children of Israel, who
delivered them, even Othniel the son of Kenaz,
Caleb’s younger brother.
But when the Israelites
cried out to the LORD, He raised up Othniel son of
Caleb’s younger brother Kenaz as a
deliverer to save them.
And the Spirit of the LORD came upon him, and he judged Israel, and went out to war: and the LORD
delivered Chushan-rishathaim king of
Mesopotamia into his hand; and his hand prevailed against Chushan-rishathaim.

delivered Cushan-rishathaim king of
Aram into the hand of Othniel, who prevailed against him.
But when the children of Israel
cried unto the LORD, the LORD raised them up a
deliverer, Ehud the son of
Gera, a
Benjamite, a man lefthanded: and by him the children of Israel sent a present unto
Eglon the king of Moab.
And again they
cried out to the LORD, and He raised up Ehud son of
Gera, a left-handed
Benjamite, as their
deliverer. So they sent him with tribute to
Eglon king of Moab.
And he said unto them, Follow after me: for the LORD hath delivered your enemies the Moabites into your hand. And they went down after him, and took the fords of Jordan toward Moab, and suffered not a man to pass over.
“Follow me,” he told them, “for the LORD has
delivered your enemies the Moabites into your hand.” So they followed him down and seized the fords of the Jordan leading to Moab, and did not allow
anyone to cross over.
And after him was Shamgar the son of Anath, which
