Philip answered him, Two hundred
pennyworth of bread is not sufficient for them, that every one of them may take a little.
Philip answered, “Two hundred
denarii would not
buy enough bread for each of them to have a small piece.”
Why was not this
ointment sold for three hundred
pence, and given to the poor?
“Why wasn’t this
perfume sold for three hundred
denarii and the money given to the poor?”
Jesus answered him,
Wilt thou lay down thy life for my sake?
Verily,
verily, I say unto thee, The
cock shall not
crow, till thou hast
denied me
thrice.
“Will you lay down your life for Me?” Jesus replied. “Truly, truly, I tell you, before the
rooster crows, you will
deny Me three times.
And Simon Peter stood and warmed himself. They said therefore unto him, Art not thou also one of his disciples? He denied it, and said, I am not.
Simon Peter was still standing and warming himself. So they asked him, “Aren’t you also one of His disciples?” He denied it and said, “I am not.”
Peter then
denied again: and immediately the
cock crew.
The God of Abraham, and of Isaac, and of Jacob, the God of our fathers, hath
glorified his Son Jesus; whom ye delivered up, and
denied him in the presence of
Pilate, when he was determined to let him go.
The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, the God of our fathers, has
glorified His servant Jesus. You handed Him over and rejected Him before
Pilate, even though he had decided to release Him.
But ye denied the Holy One and the Just, and desired a murderer to be granted unto you;
You rejected the Holy and Righteous One and asked that a murderer be released to you.
Saying, What shall we do to these men? for that indeed a notable
miracle hath been done by them is manifest to all them that dwell in Jerusalem; and we cannot
deny it.
“What shall we do with these men?” they asked. “It is clear to
everyone living in Jerusalem that a remarkable
miracle has occurred through them, and we cannot
deny it.
For if I by grace be a
partaker, why am I evil spoken of for that for which I give
thanks?
But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath
denied the faith, and is worse than an
infidel.
If
anyone does not provide for his own, and especially his own household, he has
denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.
I will therefore that the younger women marry, bear children, guide the house, give none occasion to the
adversary to speak
reproachfully.
If we suffer, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us:
if we
endure, we will also reign with Him; if we
deny Him, He will also
deny us;
If we believe not, yet he abideth faithful: he cannot deny himself.
if we are faithless, He remains faithful, for He cannot deny Himself.
Having a form of
godliness, but
denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
having a form of
godliness but
denying its power. Turn away from such as these!
Teaching us that,
denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live
soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;
It instructs us to
renounce ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live sensible, upright, and godly lives in the present age,
(Of whom the world was not worthy:) they
wandered in deserts, and in mountains, and in
dens and caves of the earth.
The world was not worthy of them. They
wandered in deserts and mountains, and
hid in caves and holes in the ground.
But if ye have bitter
envying and
strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth.
But if you
harbor bitter jealousy and
selfish ambition in your hearts, do not
boast in it or
deny the truth.
But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who
privily shall bring in
damnable heresies, even
denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.
Now there were also false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you. They will secretly introduce destructive
heresies, even
denying the Master who bought them—bringing swift destruction on themselves.
Who is a
liar but he that
denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is
antichrist, that
denieth the Father and the Son.
Who is the
liar, if it is not the one who
denies that Jesus is the Christ? This is the
antichrist, who
denies the Father and the Son.
Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: (but) he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also.
Whoever denies the Son does not have the Father, but
whoever confesses the Son has the Father as well.
For there are certain men
crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this
condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into
lasciviousness, and
denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.
For certain men have
crept in among you unnoticed—ungodly ones who were designated long ago for
condemnation. They turn the grace of our God into a
license for immorality, and they
deny our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ.
I know thy works, and where thou dwellest, even where
Satan’s seat is: and thou holdest fast my name, and hast not
denied my faith, even in those days wherein
Antipas was my faithful
martyr, who was slain among you, where
Satan dwelleth.
I know where you live, where the throne of
Satan sits. Yet you have held fast to My name and have not
denied your faith in Me, even in the day when My faithful witness
Antipas was killed among you, where
Satan dwells.
I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name.
I know your deeds. See, I have placed before you an open door, which no one can shut. For you have only a little strength, yet you have kept My word and have not denied My name.
And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts say, A measure of wheat for a
penny, and three measures of barley for a
penny; and see thou
hurt not the oil and the wine.
And I heard what sounded like a voice from among the four living creatures, saying, “A
quart of wheat for a
denarius, and three quarts of barley for a
denarius, and do not
harm the oil and wine.”
And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every
bondman, and every free man,
hid themselves in the
dens and in the rocks of the mountains;
Then the kings of the earth, the nobles, the commanders, the rich, the mighty, and every slave and free man
hid in the caves and among the rocks of the mountains.

despised, and
denied his covenants; in his statutes have they not been faithful, and have not performed his works.

denied to know: and therefore came extreme
damnation upon them.
For the ungodly, that
denied to know thee, were
scourged by the strength of thine arm: with strange rains, hails, and showers, were they
persecuted, that they could not avoid, and through fire were they consumed.
They died for fear, denying that they saw the air, which could of no side be avoided.

den there were seven lions, and they had given them every day two carcases, and two sheep: which then were not given to them, to the intent they might
devour Daniel.
But the angel of the Lord said unto Habbacuc, Go, carry the
dinner that thou hast into Babylon unto Daniel, who is in the lions’
den.
And Habbacuc said, Lord, I never saw Babylon; neither do I know where the den is.
Then the angel of the Lord took him by the crown, and bare him by the hair of his head, and through the
vehemency of his spirit set him in Babylon over the
den.

den, he looked in, and behold, Daniel was sitting.
