Amen,
Amen.’

curse: and the water that causeth the
curse shall
enter into her, and become bitter.

curse, and it will
enter her and cause her bitter suffering.
And when he hath made her to drink the water, then it shall come to pass, that, if she be
defiled, and have done

belly shall swell, and her
thigh shall

Caleb, because he had another spirit with him, and hath followed me fully, him will I bring into the land
whereinto he went; and his seed shall possess it.

entered, and his descendants will
inherit it.
Doubtless ye shall not come into the land, concerning which I
sware to make you dwell therein, save

Nun.

entering the land that the LORD had given them.
Command the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye come into the land of
Canaan; (this is the land that shall fall unto you for an inheritance, even the land of
Canaan with the coasts thereof:)
“Command the Israelites and say to them: When you
enter the land of
Canaan, it will be
allotted to you as an inheritance with these boundaries:
Behold, I have set the land before you: go in and possess the land which the LORD
sware unto your fathers, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, to give unto them and to their seed after them.
See, I have placed the land before you.
Enter and possess the land that the LORD
swore He would give to your fathers Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and to their descendants after them.”
And ye came near unto me every one of you, and said, We will send men before us, and they shall search us out the land, and bring us word again by what way we must go up, and into what cities we shall come.
Then all of you approached me and said, “Let us send men
ahead of us to search out the land and bring us word of what route to follow and which cities to
enter.”
Also the LORD was
angry with me for your sakes, saying, Thou also shalt not go in thither.
The LORD was also
angry with me on your account, and He said, “Not even you shall
enter the land.
But Joshua the son of
Nun, which standeth before thee, he shall go in thither:
encourage him: for he shall cause Israel to
inherit it.
Joshua son of
Nun, who stands before you, will
enter it.
Encourage him, for he will enable Israel to
inherit the land.
Moreover your little ones, which ye said should be a prey, and your children, which in that day had no knowledge between good and evil, they shall go in thither, and unto them will I give it, and they shall possess it.
And the little ones you said would become
captives—your children who on that day did not know good from evil—will
enter the land that I will give them, and they will possess it.
And I commanded Joshua at that time, saying, Thine eyes have seen all that the LORD your God hath done unto these two kings: so shall the LORD do unto all the kingdoms
whither thou passest.
And at that time I commanded Joshua: “Your own eyes have seen all that the LORD your God has done to these two kings. The LORD will do the same to all the kingdoms you are about to enter.
Now therefore
hearken, O Israel, unto the statutes and unto the judgments, which I teach you, for to do them, that ye may live, and go in and possess the land which the LORD God of your fathers giveth you.
Hear now, O Israel, the statutes and ordinances I am teaching you to follow, so that you may live and may enter and take possession of the land that the LORD, the God of your fathers, is giving you.
Behold, I have taught you statutes and judgments, even as the LORD my God commanded me, that ye should do so in the land
whither ye go to possess it.
See, I have taught you statutes and ordinances just as the LORD my God has commanded me, so that you may follow them in the land that you are about to enter and possess.
Furthermore the LORD was
angry with me for your sakes, and
sware that I should not go over Jordan, and that I should not go in unto that good land, which the LORD thy God giveth thee for an inheritance:
The LORD, however, was
angry with me on account of you, and He
swore that I would not cross the Jordan to
enter the good land that the LORD your God is giving you as an inheritance.
Now these are the commandments, the statutes, and the judgments, which the LORD your God commanded to teach you, that ye might do them in the land
whither ye go to possess it:
These are the commandments and statutes and ordinances that the LORD your God has
instructed me to teach you to follow in the land that you are about to
enter and possess,
And thou shalt do that which is right and good in the sight of the LORD: that it may be well with thee, and that thou mayest go in and possess the good land which the LORD
sware unto thy fathers,
Do what is right and good in the sight of the LORD, so that it may be well with you and that you may
enter and possess the good land that the LORD your God
swore to give your fathers,
When the LORD thy God shall bring thee into the land
whither thou goest to possess it, and hath cast out many nations before thee, the
Hittites, and the Girgashites, and the
Amorites, and the
Canaanites, and the
Perizzites, and the
Hivites, and the Jebusites, seven nations greater and mightier than thou;
When the LORD your God brings you into the land that you are
entering to possess, and He drives out before you many nations—the
Hittites, Girgashites,
Amorites,
Canaanites,
Perizzites,
Hivites, and Jebusites, seven nations larger and stronger than you—
All the commandments which I command thee this day shall ye observe to do, that ye may live, and multiply, and go in and possess the land which the LORD
sware unto your fathers.
You must carefully follow every commandment I am giving you
today, so that you may live and multiply, and
enter and possess the land that the LORD
swore to give your fathers.
And the LORD said unto me, Arise, take thy journey before the people, that they may go in and possess the land, which I
sware unto their fathers to give unto them.
Then the LORD said to me, “Get up. Continue your journey
ahead of the people, that they may
enter and possess the land that I
swore to their fathers to give them.”
For the land,
whither thou goest in to possess it, is not as the land of Egypt, from whence ye came out, where thou sowedst thy seed, and wateredst it with thy foot, as a garden of herbs:
For the land that you are
entering to possess is not like the land of Egypt, from which you have come, where you
sowed your seed and
irrigated on foot, like a vegetable garden.
And it shall come to pass, when the LORD thy God hath brought thee in unto the land
whither thou goest to possess it, that thou shalt put the blessing upon mount
Gerizim, and the
curse upon mount
Ebal.
When the LORD your God brings you into the land you are
entering to possess, you are to
proclaim the blessing on Mount
Gerizim and the
curse on Mount
Ebal.
For ye shall pass over Jordan to go in to possess the land which the LORD your God giveth you, and ye shall possess it, and dwell therein.
For you are about to cross the Jordan to enter and possess the land that the LORD your God is giving you. When you take possession of it and settle in it,
When the LORD thy God shall cut off the nations from before thee,
whither thou goest to possess them, and thou succeedest them, and dwellest in their land;
When the LORD your God cuts off before you the nations you are entering to dispossess, and you drive them out and live in their land,
When thou art come unto the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee, and shalt possess it, and shalt dwell therein, and shalt say, I will set a king over me, like as all the nations that are about me;
When you enter the land that the LORD your God is giving you and have taken possession of it and settled in it, and you say, “Let us set a king over us like all the nations around us,”
When thou art come into the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee, thou shalt not learn to do after the abominations of those nations.
When you
enter the land that the LORD your God is giving you, do not
imitate the
detestable ways of the nations there.

enter into the congregation of the LORD.

illegitimate birth may
enter the assembly of the LORD, nor may any of his descendants, even to the tenth generation.
An
Ammonite or
Moabite shall not
enter into the congregation of the LORD; even to their tenth generation shall they not
enter into the congregation of the LORD for ever:
No
Ammonite or
Moabite or any of their descendants may
enter the assembly of the LORD, even to the tenth generation.
The children that are
begotten of them shall
enter into the congregation of the LORD in their third generation.
The third generation of children born to them may enter the assembly of the LORD.
Unto a stranger thou mayest
lend upon
usury; but unto thy brother thou shalt not
lend upon
usury: that the LORD thy God may
bless thee in all that thou settest thine hand to in the land
whither thou goest to possess it.
You may charge a foreigner interest, but not your brother, so that the LORD your God may
bless you in everything to which you put your hand in the land that you are
entering to possess.
When thou comest into thy neighbour’s
vineyard, then thou mayest eat grapes thy fill at thine own pleasure; but thou shalt not put any in thy vessel.
When you
enter your
neighbor’s
vineyard, you may eat your fill of grapes, but you must not put any in your
basket.
When thou comest into the standing corn of thy neighbour, then thou mayest
pluck the ears with thine hand; but thou shalt not move a
sickle unto thy neighbour’s standing corn.
When thou
dost lend thy brother any thing, thou shalt not go into his house to
fetch his
pledge.
When you
lend anything to your
neighbor, do not
enter his house to collect security.
And it shall be, when thou art come in unto the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee for an inheritance, and possessest it, and dwellest therein;
When you enter the land that the LORD your God is giving you as an inheritance, and you take possession of it and settle in it,
And thou shalt go unto the priest that shall be in those days, and say unto him, I
profess this day unto the LORD thy God, that I am come unto the country which the LORD
sware unto our fathers for to give us.

today to the LORD your God that I have
entered the land that the LORD
swore to our fathers to give us.”
And thou shalt write upon them all the words of this law, when thou art passed over, that thou mayest go in unto the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee, a land that floweth with milk and honey; as the LORD God of thy fathers hath promised thee.
Write on them all the words of this law when you have crossed over to enter the land that the LORD your God is giving you, a land flowing with milk and honey, just as the LORD, the God of your fathers, has promised you.
The LORD shall make the
pestilence cleave unto thee, until he have consumed thee from off the land,
whither thou goest to possess it.
The LORD will make the plague
cling to you until He has
exterminated you from the land that you are
entering to possess.
And it shall come to pass, that as the LORD
rejoiced over you to do you good, and to multiply you; so the LORD will
rejoice over you to destroy you, and to bring you to
nought; and ye shall be
plucked from off the land
whither thou goest to possess it.
Just as it pleased the LORD to make you
prosper and multiply, so also it will please Him to
annihilate you and destroy you. And you will be uprooted from the land you are
entering to possess.
That thou shouldest enter into covenant with the LORD thy God, and into his oath, which the LORD thy God maketh with thee this day:
so that you may
enter into the covenant of the LORD your God, which He is making with you
today, and into His oath,
In that I command thee this day to love the LORD thy God, to walk in his ways, and to keep his commandments and his statutes and his judgments, that thou mayest live and multiply: and the LORD thy God shall
bless thee in the land
whither thou goest to possess it.
For I am commanding you
today to love the LORD your God, to walk in His ways, and to keep His commandments, statutes, and ordinances, so that you may live and increase, and the LORD your God may
bless you in the land that you are
entering to possess.
