exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much

grievous wolves enter in among you, not
sparing the flock.

wolves will come in among you and will not
spare the flock.
And the next day we that were of Paul’s company departed, and came unto Caesarea: and we
entered into the house of Philip the
evangelist, which was one of the seven; and abode with him.

purifying himself with them
entered into the temple, to

purification, until that an offering should be offered for every one of them.

purified himself along with them. Then he

In the same quarters were possessions of the chief man of the island, whose name was
Publius; who received us, and
lodged us three days
courteously.
Nearby stood an estate belonging to
Publius, the chief official of the island. He
welcomed us and
entertained us
hospitably for three days.
And it came to pass, that the father of
Publius lay sick of a fever and of a
bloody flux: to whom Paul
entered in, and prayed, and laid his hands on him, and
healed him.
The father of
Publius was sick in bed, suffering from fever and
dysentery. Paul went in to see him, and after praying and placing his hands on him, he
healed the man.
Wherefore, as by one man sin
entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have
sinned:
Therefore, just as sin
entered the world through one man, and death through sin, so also death was passed on to all men, because all
sinned.
Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound:
The law came in so that the
trespass would increase; but where sin increased, grace increased all the more,
But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.
Rather, as it is written: “No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no heart has imagined, what God has prepared for those who love Him.”
In whom we have boldness and access with confidence by the faith of him.
In Him and through faith in Him we may enter God’s presence with boldness and confidence.
For they themselves
shew of us what manner of
entering in we had unto you, and how ye turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God;
For they themselves report what kind of
welcome you gave us, and how you turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God
Well reported of for good works; if she have brought up children, if she have
lodged strangers, if she have washed the saints’ feet, if she have relieved the
afflicted, if she have
diligently followed every good work.
and well known for good deeds such as bringing up children,
entertaining strangers, washing the feet of the saints, imparting relief to the
afflicted, and
devoting herself to every good work.
Against an elder receive not an
accusation, but before two or three witnesses.
Do not
entertain an
accusation against an elder, except on the testimony of two or three witnesses.
So I
sware in my wrath, They shall not
enter into my rest.)
So I
swore on oath in My anger, ‘They shall never
enter My rest.’”
And to whom
sware he that they should not
enter into his rest, but to them that believed not?
And to whom did He
swear that they would never
enter His rest? Was it not to those who disobeyed?
So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief.
So we see that it was because of their unbelief that they were unable to enter.
Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it.
Therefore, while the promise of entering His rest still stands, let us be careful that none of you be deemed to have fallen short of it.
For we which have believed do
enter into rest, as he said, As I have
sworn in my wrath, if they shall
enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.
Now we who have believed
enter that rest. As for the others, it is just as God has said: “So I
swore on oath in My anger, ‘They shall never
enter My rest.’” And yet His works have been finished since the foundation of the world.
And in this place again, If they shall enter into my rest.
And again, as He says in the passage above: “They shall never enter My rest.”
Seeing therefore it remaineth that some must enter therein, and they to whom it was first preached entered not in because of unbelief:
Since, then, it remains for some to enter His rest, and since those who formerly heard the good news did not enter because of their disobedience,
For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his.
For
whoever enters God’s rest also rests from his own work, just as God did from His.
Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.
Let us, therefore, make every effort to enter that rest, so that no one will fall by following the same pattern of disobedience.
Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and
stedfast, and which
entereth into that within the
veil;
We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. It
enters the inner sanctuary behind the
curtain,
Whither the
forerunner is for us
entered, even Jesus, made an high priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.
Now when these things were thus ordained, the priests went always into the first tabernacle,
accomplishing the service of God.
When everything had been prepared in this way, the priests entered regularly into the first room to perform their sacred duties.
But into the second went the high priest alone once every year, not without blood, which he offered for himself, and for the errors of the people:
But only the high priest entered the second room, and then only once a year, and never without blood, which he offered for himself and for the sins the people had committed in ignorance.
Neither by the blood of goats and
calves, but by his own blood he
entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal
redemption for us.
He did not
enter by the blood of goats and
calves, but He
entered the Most Holy Place once for all by His own blood, thus securing eternal
redemption.
For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us:
For Christ did not enter a man-made copy of the true sanctuary, but He entered heaven itself, now to appear on our behalf in the presence of God.
Nor yet that he should offer himself often, as the high priest entereth into the holy place every year with blood of others;
Nor did He enter heaven to offer Himself again and again, as the high priest enters the Most Holy Place every year with blood that is not his own.
Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus,
Therefore, brothers, since we have confidence to enter the Most Holy Place by the blood of Jesus,
Be not
forgetful to
entertain strangers: for thereby some have
entertained angels unawares.
Do not neglect to show
hospitality to strangers, for by so doing some people have
entertained angels without knowing it.
Behold, the
hire of the labourers who have
reaped down your fields, which is of you kept back by
fraud, crieth: and the
cries of them which have
reaped are
entered into the ears of the Lord of
sabaoth.
Look, the wages you
withheld from the workmen who
mowed your fields are crying out against you. The
cries of the harvesters have reached the ears of the Lord of Hosts.
For many deceivers are
entered into the world, who
confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a
deceiver and an
antichrist.
For many deceivers have gone out into the world, refusing to
confess the coming of Jesus Christ in the flesh. Any such person is the
deceiver and the
antichrist.
And after three days and an half the Spirit of life from God entered into them, and they stood upon their feet; and great fear fell upon them which saw them.
But after the three and a half days, the breath of life from God entered the two witnesses, and they stood on their feet, and great fear fell upon those who saw them.
And the temple was filled with smoke from the glory of God, and from his power; and no man was able to enter into the temple, till the seven plagues of the seven angels were fulfilled.

And there shall in no wise
enter into it any thing that defileth, neither
whatsoever worketh
abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb’s book of life.
But nothing unclean will ever
enter it, nor
anyone who practices an
abomination or a lie, but only those whose names are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life.
Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.
Blessed are those who wash their robes, so that they may have the right to the tree of life and may enter the city by its gates.
Moreover he wrote for all the Jews that went out of his realm up into
Jewry, concerning their freedom, that no officer, no ruler, no lieutenant, nor
treasurer, should
forcibly enter into their doors;
Let all things be known unto our lord the king, that being come into the country of
Judea, and
entered into the city of Jerusalem we found in the city of Jerusalem the ancients of the Jews that were of the captivity
That the land, which ye
enter into to possess as an
heritage, is a land
polluted with the pollutions of the strangers of the land, and they have filled it with their uncleanness.

enter into it?

Tobit’s eyes, and to give Sara the daughter of Raguel for a wife to Tobias the son of
Tobit; and to bind
Asmodeus the evil spirit; because she belonged to Tobias by right of inheritance. The
selfsame time came
Tobit home, and
entered into his house, and Sara the daughter of Raguel came down from her upper chamber.
And likewise Edna his wife and Sara his daughter
wept. Moreover they
entertained them
cheerfully; and after that they had killed a ram of the flock, they set store of meat on the table. Then said Tobias to Raphael, Brother Azarias, speak of those things of which thou
didst talk in the way, and let this business be
dispatched.
The God, the God of our fathers give thee favour, and
accomplish thine
enterprizes to the glory of the children of Israel, and to the
exaltation of Jerusalem. Then they worshipped God.
For now is the time to help thine inheritance, and to
execute thine
enterprizes to the destruction of the enemies which are risen against us.
Now as soon as they
entered into Jerusalem, they worshipped the Lord; and as soon as the people were
purified, they offered their burnt offerings, and their free offerings, and their gifts.

malicious soul wisdom shall not
enter; nor dwell in the body that is subject unto sin.

She
entered into the soul of the servant of the Lord, and

For by the vain glory of men they entered into the world, and therefore shall they come shortly to an end.
Instead
whereof thou gavest them a burning
pillar of fire, both to be a guide of the unknown journey, and an
harmless sun to
entertain them honourably.
Thou shalt
entertain, and feast, and have no
thanks: moreover thou shalt hear bitter words:
Let reason go before every enterprize, and counsel before every action.
The Lord gave strength also unto
Caleb, which remained with him unto his old age: so that he
entered upon the high places of the land, and his seed obtained it for an
heritage:

enterprizes hindered: for his mouth was stopped, and he was taken with a
palsy, so that he could no more speak any thing, nor give order concerning his house.

cleansed the houses wherein the idols were, and so
entered into it with songs and
thanksgiving.
And
entered into it the three and
twentieth day of the second month in the hundred seventy and first year, with
thanksgiving, and branches of palm trees, and with harps, and cymbals, and with viols, and hymns, and songs: because there was destroyed a great enemy out of Israel.
But when Arsaces, the king of Persia and Media, heard that

entered within his borders, he sent one of his princes to take him alive:
And it pleased the people to
entertain the men honourably, and to put the copy of their
ambassage in publick records, to the end the people of the Lacedemonians might have a
memorial thereof:
furthermore we have written a copy thereof unto Simon the high priest.

Which when the priests of Nanea had set forth, and he was
entered with a small company into the compass of the temple, they shut the temple as soon as
Antiochus was come in:
So at the day which he appointed he
entered in to order this matter: wherefore there was no small
agony throughout the whole city.
For he had
entered the city called
Persepolis, and went about to
rob the temple, and to hold the city;
whereupon the multitude running to defend themselves with their weapons put them to flight; and so it happened, that
Antiochus being put to flight of the inhabitants returned with shame.
And
Judas, being apart with the elders, determined, before the king’s host should
enter into
Judea, and get the city, to go forth and try the matter in fight by the help of the Lord.
After three years was
Judas informed, that
Demetrius the son of Seleucus, having
entered by the
haven of Tripolis with a great power and navy,
Howbeit having
gotten opportunity to further his
foolish enterprize, and being called into counsel by
Demetrius, and asked how the Jews stood affected, and what they intended, he answered
thereunto:
