refrain thy
foot from their path:
my son, do not walk the road with them or set foot upon their path.

foot shall not
stumble.

foot will not
stumble.

foot from thy neighbour’s house; lest he be
weary of thee, and so

listen rather than to offer the sacrifice of fools, who do not know that they do wrong.

horseback, while princes go on
foot like slaves.

shepherds.
From the sole of the
foot even unto the head there is no soundness in it; but wounds, and bruises, and putrifying sores: they have not been closed, neither bound up, neither
mollified with
ointment.
From the sole of your
foot to the top of your head, there is no soundness— only wounds and welts and
festering sores neither
cleansed nor
bandaged nor
soothed with oil.

tread him under
foot: then shall his yoke depart from off them, and his burden depart from off their shoulders.

foot, whose land the rivers have

Zion.

foot shall
tread it down, even the feet of the poor, and the steps of the
needy.
Who raised up the righteous man from the east, called him to his
foot, gave the nations before him, and made him rule over kings? he gave them as the dust to his sword, and as driven
stubble to his bow.
Who has
aroused one from the east and called him to his feet in righteousness? He hands nations over to him and subdues kings before him. He turns them to dust with his sword, to windblown
chaff with his bow.

Withhold thy
foot from being
unshod, and thy throat from
thirst: but thou saidst, There is no hope: no; for I have loved strangers, and after them will I go.

thirsty. But you said, ‘It is hopeless! For I love foreign gods, and I must go after them.’

And people will come from the cities of Judah and the places around Jerusalem, from the land of Benjamin, and from the
foothills, the hill country, and the Negev, bringing burnt offerings and sacrifices, grain offerings and
frankincense, and
thank offerings to the house of the LORD.

buy fields for money, and
subscribe evidences, and seal them, and take witnesses in the land of Benjamin, and in the places about Jerusalem, and in the cities of Judah, and in the cities of the mountains, and in the cities of the valley, and in the cities of the south: for I will cause their captivity to return, saith the LORD.

The Lord hath
trodden under
foot all my mighty men in the midst of me: he hath called an assembly against me to
crush my young men: the Lord hath
trodden the virgin, the daughter of Judah, as in a winepress.

crush my young warriors. Like grapes in a winepress, the Lord has
trampled the Virgin Daughter of Judah.
How hath the Lord covered the daughter of
Zion with a cloud in his anger, and cast down from heaven unto the earth the beauty of Israel, and remembered not his

calf,
gleaming like polished bronze.
Thus saith the Lord GOD;
Smite with thine hand, and stamp with thy
foot, and say,

Clap your hands,
stomp your feet, and cry out “
Alas!” because of all the wicked abominations of the house of Israel, who will fall by sword and famine and plague.

swim in, a river that could not be passed over.
Once again he measured off a thousand cubits, but now it was a river that I could not cross, because the water had risen and was deep enough for
swimming—a river that could not be crossed on
foot.
Then I heard one saint speaking, and another saint said unto that certain saint which spake, How long shall be the vision concerning the daily sacrifice, and the
transgression of
desolation, to give both the sanctuary and the host to be
trodden under
foot?
Then I heard a holy one speaking, and another holy one said to him, “How long until the
fulfillment of the vision of the daily sacrifice, the rebellion that causes
desolation, and the surrender of the sanctuary and of the host to be
trampled?”

Those from the Negev will possess the mountains of
Esau; those from the
foothills will possess the land of the Philistines. They will occupy the fields of Ephraim and Samaria, and Benjamin will possess
Gilead.
Should ye not hear the words which the LORD hath
cried by the former prophets, when Jerusalem was inhabited and in prosperity, and the cities thereof round about her, when men inhabited the south and the plain?
Are these not the words that the LORD proclaimed through the earlier prophets, when Jerusalem and its surrounding towns were
populous and prosperous, and the Negev and the
foothills were inhabited?’”

thyself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee: and in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou
dash thy
foot against a stone.

Yourself down. For it is written: ‘He will command His angels concerning You, and they will lift You up in their hands, so that You will not strike Your
foot against a stone.’”
Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour,
wherewith shall it be salted? it is
thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be
trodden under
foot of men.

savor, how can it be made
salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and
trampled by men.

Wherefore if thy hand or thy
foot offend thee, cut them off, and cast them from thee: it is better for thee to enter into life
halt or
maimed, rather than having two hands or two feet to be cast into
everlasting fire.

foot causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to enter life
crippled or
lame than to have two hands and two feet and be thrown into the eternal fire.

weeping and
gnashing of teeth.’

foot offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter
halt into life, than having two feet to be cast into

lame than to have two feet and be thrown into
hell.

dash thy
foot against a stone.

Heaven is my throne, and earth is my
footstool: what house will ye build me? saith the Lord: or what is the place of my rest?

footstool. What kind of house will you build for Me, says the Lord, or where will My place of
repose be?
Wherein were all manner of
fourfooted beasts of the earth, and wild beasts, and
creeping things, and fowls of the air.
It contained all kinds of four-footed animals and reptiles of the earth, as well as birds of the air.

creeping things, and fowls of the air.

foot.

footsteps of the faith that our father Abraham had before he was
circumcised.
If the foot shall say, Because I am not the hand, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body?
If the foot should say, “Because I am not a hand, I do not belong to the body,” that would not make it any less a part of the body.
I desired
Titus, and with him I sent a brother. Did
Titus make a gain of you? walked we not in the same spirit? walked we not in the same steps?
I urged
Titus to visit you, and I sent our brother with him. Did
Titus exploit you in any way? Did we not walk in the same Spirit and follow in the same
footsteps?
Neither give place to the devil.
But to which of the angels said he at any time, Sit on my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy
footstool?
Yet to which of the angels did God ever say: “Sit at My right hand until I make Your enemies a
footstool for Your feet”?
From henceforth expecting till his enemies be made his
footstool.
Since that time, He waits for His enemies to be made a
footstool for His feet,
Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath
trodden under
foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant,
wherewith he was
sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done
despite unto the Spirit of grace?
How much more severely do you think one deserves to be punished who has
trampled on the Son of God,
profaned the blood of the covenant that
sanctified him, and
insulted the Spirit of grace?
And ye have respect to him that weareth the gay clothing, and say unto him, Sit thou here in a good place; and say to the poor, Stand thou there, or sit here under my
footstool:
If you
lavish attention on the man in fine clothes and say, “Here is a seat of honor,” but say to the poor man, “You must stand” or “Sit at my feet,”
For even
hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps:

robe, with a golden

But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is given unto the Gentiles: and the holy city shall they
tread under
foot forty and two months.
But
exclude the
courtyard outside the temple. Do not measure it, because it has been given over to the nations, and they will
trample the holy city for 42 months.

derision and in reproach, and

foot.

chariots, and
horsemen, and their chosen
footmen.
For with them we will
tread them under
foot, and their mountains shall be
drunken with their blood, and their fields shall be filled with their dead bodies, and their
footsteps shall not be able to stand before us, for they shall utterly perish, saith king Nabuchodonosor, lord of all the earth: for he said, None of my words shall be in vain.

angry,
And with them he sent forty thousand
footmen, and seven thousand
horsemen, to go into the land of Juda, and to destroy it, as the king commanded.
