dew of heaven, and the fatness of the earth, and
plenty of corn and wine:
May God give to you the
dew of heaven and the richness of the earth— an abundance of
grain and new wine.
And Isaac answered and said unto
Esau, Behold, I have made him thy lord, and all his brethren have I given to him for servants; and with corn and wine have I sustained him: and what shall I do now unto thee, my son?
But Isaac answered
Esau: “Look, I have made him your master and given him all his relatives as servants; I have sustained him with
grain and new wine. What is left that I can do for you, my son?”
For, behold, we were binding
sheaves in the field, and, lo, my
sheaf arose, and also stood upright; and, behold, your
sheaves stood round about, and made
obeisance to my
sheaf.
We were binding
sheaves of
grain in the field, and suddenly my
sheaf rose and stood upright, while your
sheaves gathered around and bowed down to mine.”
And he
slept and dreamed the second time: and, behold, seven ears of corn came up upon one
stalk, rank and good.
but he fell back
asleep and dreamed a second time: Seven heads of
grain,
plump and ripe, came up on one
stalk.
And, behold, seven thin ears and blasted with the east wind sprung up after them.
After them, seven other heads of
grain sprouted, thin and
scorched by the east wind.
And the seven thin ears
devoured the seven rank and full ears. And Pharaoh
awoke, and, behold, it was a dream.
And the thin heads of
grain swallowed up the seven
plump, ripe ones. Then Pharaoh
awoke and realized it was a dream.
And I saw in my dream, and, behold, seven ears came up in one
stalk, full and good:
In my dream I also saw seven heads of
grain,
plump and ripe, growing on a single
stalk.
And, behold, seven ears,
withered, thin, and blasted with the east wind, sprung up after them:
And the thin ears
devoured the seven good ears: and I told this unto the magicians; but there was none that could declare it to me.
And the thin heads of
grain swallowed the seven
plump ones. I told this dream to the magicians, but no one could explain it to me.”
The seven good
kine are seven years; and the seven good ears are seven years: the dream is one.
The seven good cows are seven years, and the seven ripe heads of grain are seven years. The dreams have the same meaning.
And the seven thin and ill favoured
kine that came up after them are seven years; and the seven empty ears blasted with the east wind shall be seven years of famine.
Moreover, the seven thin,
ugly cows that came up after them are seven years, and so are the seven worthless heads of
grain scorched by the east wind—they are seven years of famine.
And let them gather all the food of those good years that come, and lay up corn under the hand of Pharaoh, and let them keep food in the cities.
Under the authority of Pharaoh, let them collect all the excess food from these good years, that they may come and lay up the grain to be preserved as food in the cities.
And Joseph gathered corn as the sand of the sea, very much, until he left numbering; for it was without number.
So Joseph stored up
grain in such abundance, like the sand of the sea, that he stopped keeping
track of it; for it was beyond measure.
And the famine was over all the face of the earth: and Joseph opened all the storehouses, and sold unto the Egyptians; and the famine waxed
sore in the land of Egypt.
When the famine had spread over all the land, Joseph opened up all the storehouses and sold grain to the Egyptians; for the famine was severe in the land of Egypt.
And all countries came into Egypt to Joseph for to
buy corn; because that the famine was so
sore in all lands.
And every nation came to Joseph in Egypt to
buy grain, because the famine was severe over all the earth.
Now when Jacob saw that there was corn in Egypt, Jacob said unto his sons, Why do ye look one upon another?
When Jacob learned that there was grain in Egypt, he said to his sons, “Why are you staring at one another?”
And he said, Behold, I have heard that there is corn in Egypt: get you down thither, and
buy for us from thence; that we may live, and not die.
“Look,” he added, “I have heard that there is
grain in Egypt. Go down there and
buy some for us, so that we may live and not die.”
And Joseph’s ten brethren went down to
buy corn in Egypt.
So ten of Joseph’s brothers went down to
buy grain from Egypt.
And the sons of Israel came to
buy corn among those that came: for the famine was in the land of
Canaan.
So the sons of Israel were among those who came to
buy grain, since the famine had also spread to the land of
Canaan.
And Joseph was the governor over the land, and he it was that sold to all the people of the land: and Joseph’s brethren came, and bowed down themselves before him with their faces to the earth.
Now Joseph was the ruler of the land; he was the one who sold grain to all its people. So when his brothers arrived, they bowed down before him with their faces to the ground.
If ye be true men, let one of your brethren be bound in the house of your prison: go ye, carry corn for the famine of your houses:
If you are
honest, leave one of your brothers in
custody while the rest of you go and take back
grain to
relieve the hunger of your households.
Then Joseph commanded to fill their sacks with corn, and to restore every man’s money into his
sack, and to give them provision for the way: and thus did he unto them.
Then Joseph gave orders to fill their bags with
grain, to return each man’s silver to his
sack, and to give them provisions for their journey. This order was carried out,
And they
laded their
asses with the corn, and departed thence.
and they loaded the
grain on their
donkeys and departed.
And it came to pass, when they had eaten up the corn which they had brought out of Egypt, their father said unto them, Go again,
buy us a little food.
So when Jacob’s sons had eaten all the
grain they had brought from Egypt, their father said to them, “Go back and
buy us a little more food.”
And put my cup, the silver cup, in the
sack’s mouth of the youngest, and his corn money. And he did according to the word that Joseph had spoken.
Put my cup, the silver one, in the mouth of the youngest one’s
sack, along with the silver for his
grain.” So the
steward did as Joseph had
instructed.
And to his father he sent after this manner; ten
asses laden with the good things of Egypt, and ten she
asses laden with corn and bread and meat for his father by the way.
And he sent to his father the following: ten
donkeys loaded with the best of Egypt, and ten female
donkeys loaded with
grain and bread and provisions for his father’s journey.
And Joseph gathered up all the money that was found in the land of Egypt, and in the land of
Canaan, for the corn which they bought: and Joseph brought the money into Pharaoh’s house.
Joseph collected all the money to be found in the land of Egypt and the land of
Canaan in exchange for the
grain they were
buying, and he brought it into Pharaoh’s palace.
If fire break out, and catch in thorns, so that the stacks of corn, or the standing corn, or the field, be consumed
therewith; he that
kindled the fire shall surely make
restitution.
If a fire breaks out and spreads to thornbushes so that it consumes
stacked or standing
grain, or the whole field, the one who started the fire must make full
restitution.
And the other lamb thou shalt offer at even, and shalt do
thereto according to the meat offering of the morning, and according to the drink offering thereof, for a sweet savour, an offering made by fire unto the LORD.
And offer the second lamb at
twilight with the same
grain offering and drink offering as in the morning, as a pleasing
aroma, an offering made by fire to the LORD.
Ye shall offer no strange incense
thereon, nor burnt sacrifice, nor meat offering; neither shall ye pour drink offering
thereon.
On this altar you must not offer unauthorized incense or a burnt offering or grain offering; nor are you to pour a drink offering on it.
And he put the altar of burnt offering by the door of the tabernacle of the tent of the congregation, and offered upon it the burnt offering and the meat offering; as the LORD commanded Moses.
He placed the altar of burnt offering near the entrance to the tabernacle, the Tent of Meeting, and offered on it the burnt offering and the grain offering, just as the LORD had commanded him.
And when any will offer a meat offering unto the LORD, his offering shall be of fine flour; and he shall pour oil upon it, and put
frankincense thereon:
“When
anyone brings a
grain offering to the LORD, his offering must consist of fine flour. He is to pour olive oil on it, put
frankincense on it,
And the
remnant of the meat offerings shall be Aaron’s and his sons’: it is a thing most holy of the offerings of the LORD made by fire.
The remainder of the grain offering shall belong to Aaron and his sons; it is a most holy part of the offerings made by fire to the LORD.
If your offering is a
grain offering prepared on a
griddle, it must be
unleavened bread made of fine flour mixed with oil.
Thou shalt part it in pieces, and pour oil
thereon: it is a meat offering.
Crumble it and pour oil on it; it is a
grain offering.
And if thy
oblation be a meat offering
baken in the
frying pan, it shall be made of fine flour with oil.
If your offering is a
grain offering
cooked in a pan, it must consist of fine flour with oil.
And thou shalt bring the meat offering that is made of these things unto the LORD: and when it is presented unto the priest, he shall bring it unto the altar.
When you bring to the LORD the grain offering made in any of these ways, it is to be presented to the priest, and he shall take it to the altar.
And the priest shall take from the meat offering a
memorial thereof, and shall burn it upon the altar: it is an offering made by fire, of a sweet savour unto the LORD.
The priest is to remove the
memorial portion from the
grain offering and burn it on the altar as an offering made by fire, a pleasing
aroma to the LORD.
And that which is left of the meat offering shall be Aaron’s and his sons’: it is a thing most holy of the offerings of the LORD made by fire.
But the remainder of the grain offering shall belong to Aaron and his sons; it is a most holy part of the offerings made by fire to the LORD.
No meat offering, which ye shall bring unto the LORD, shall be made with
leaven: for ye shall burn no
leaven, nor any honey, in any offering of the LORD made by fire.
No
grain offering that you present to the LORD may be made with
leaven, for you are not to burn any
leaven or honey as an offering made by fire to the LORD.
And every
oblation of thy meat offering shalt thou season with salt; neither shalt thou suffer the salt of the covenant of thy God to be lacking from thy meat offering: with all thine offerings thou shalt offer salt.
And you shall season each of your grain offerings with salt. You must not leave the salt of the covenant of your God out of your grain offering; you are to add salt to each of your offerings.
And if thou offer a meat offering of thy firstfruits unto the LORD, thou shalt offer for the meat offering of thy firstfruits green ears of corn dried by the fire, even corn beaten out of full ears.
If you bring a
grain offering of firstfruits to the LORD, you shall offer
crushed heads of new
grain roasted on the fire.
And you are to put oil and
frankincense on it; it is a
grain offering.
And the priest shall burn the
memorial of it, part of the beaten corn thereof, and part of the oil thereof, with all the
frankincense thereof: it is an offering made by fire unto the LORD.
The priest shall then burn the
memorial portion of the
crushed grain and the oil, together with all its
frankincense, as an offering made by fire to the LORD.
And the priest shall make an
atonement for him as touching his sin that he hath
sinned in one of these, and it shall be
forgiven him: and the
remnant shall be the priest’s, as a meat offering.
In this way the priest will make
atonement for him for any of these sins he has committed, and he will be
forgiven. The remainder will belong to the priest, like the
grain offering.”
And this is the law of the meat offering: the sons of Aaron shall offer it before the LORD, before the altar.
Now this is the law of the grain offering: Aaron’s sons shall present it before the LORD in front of the altar.
And he shall take of it his handful, of the flour of the meat offering, and of the oil thereof, and all the
frankincense which is upon the meat offering, and shall burn it upon the altar for a sweet savour, even the
memorial of it, unto the LORD.
The priest is to remove a handful of fine flour and olive oil, together with all the
frankincense from the
grain offering, and burn the
memorial portion on the altar as a pleasing
aroma to the LORD.
This is the offering of Aaron and of his sons, which they shall offer unto the LORD in the day when he is
anointed; the tenth part of an
ephah of fine flour for a meat offering perpetual, half of it in the morning, and half thereof at night.
“This is the offering that Aaron and his sons must present to the LORD on the day he is
anointed: a tenth of an
ephah of fine flour as a regular
grain offering, half of it in the morning and half in the evening.
In a pan it shall be made with oil; and when it is
baken, thou shalt bring it in: and the
baken pieces of the meat offering shalt thou offer for a sweet savour unto the LORD.
It shall be prepared with oil on a
griddle; you are to bring it well-
kneaded and present it as a
grain offering broken in pieces, a pleasing
aroma to the LORD.
For every meat offering for the priest shall be wholly burnt: it shall not be eaten.
Every grain offering for a priest shall be burned completely; it is not to be eaten.”
And all the meat offering that is
baken in the
oven, and all that is dressed in the
fryingpan, and in the pan, shall be the priest’s that offereth it.
Likewise, every
grain offering that is
baked in an
oven or
cooked in a pan or on a
griddle belongs to the priest who presents it,
And every meat offering, mingled with oil, and dry, shall all the sons of Aaron have, one as much as another.
and every grain offering, whether dry or mixed with oil, belongs equally to all the sons of Aaron.
This is the law of the burnt offering, of the meat offering, and of the sin offering, and of the
trespass offering, and of the consecrations, and of the sacrifice of the peace offerings;
This is the law of the burnt offering, the
grain offering, the sin offering, the guilt offering, the
ordination offering, and the peace offering,
Also a
bullock and a ram for peace offerings, to sacrifice before the LORD; and a meat offering mingled with oil: for to day the LORD will appear unto you.
an ox and a ram for a peace offering to sacrifice before the LORD, and a
grain offering mixed with oil. For
today the LORD will appear to you.’”
And he brought the meat offering, and took an handful thereof, and burnt it upon the altar, beside the burnt sacrifice of the morning.
Next he presented the grain offering, took a handful of it, and burned it on the altar in addition to the morning’s burnt offering.
And Moses spake unto Aaron, and unto
Eleazar and unto
Ithamar, his sons that were left, Take the meat offering that remaineth of the offerings of the LORD made by fire, and eat it without
leaven beside the altar: for it is most holy:
And Moses said to Aaron and his remaining sons,
Eleazar and
Ithamar, “Take the
grain offering that remains from the offerings made by fire to the LORD and eat it without
leaven beside the altar, because it is most holy.
And on the eighth day he shall take two he lambs without
blemish, and one
ewe lamb of the first year without
blemish, and three tenth deals of fine flour for a meat offering, mingled with oil, and one log of oil.
On the eighth day he is to bring two
unblemished male lambs, an
unblemished ewe lamb a year old, a
grain offering of three-tenths of an
ephah of fine flour mixed with olive oil, and one log of olive oil.
And the priest shall offer the burnt offering and the meat offering upon the altar: and the priest shall make an
atonement for him, and he shall be clean.
and offer it on the altar, with the
grain offering, to make
atonement for him, and he will be clean.
And if he be poor, and cannot get so much; then he shall take one lamb for a
trespass offering to be waved, to make an
atonement for him, and one tenth deal of fine flour mingled with oil for a meat offering, and a log of oil;
If, however, the person is poor and cannot afford these offerings, he is to take one male lamb as a guilt offering to be waved to make
atonement for him, along with a tenth of an
ephah of fine flour mixed with olive oil for a
grain offering, a log of olive oil,
Even such as he is able to get, the one for a sin offering, and the other for a burnt offering, with the meat offering: and the priest shall make an
atonement for him that is to be
cleansed before the LORD.
one as a sin offering and the other as a burnt offering, together with the
grain offering. In this way the priest will make
atonement before the LORD for the one to be
cleansed.
And the meat offering thereof shall be two tenth deals of fine flour mingled with oil, an offering made by fire unto the LORD for a sweet savour: and the drink offering thereof shall be of wine, the fourth part of an
hin.
along with its
grain offering of two-tenths of an
ephah of fine flour mixed with oil—an offering made by fire to the LORD, a pleasing
aroma—and its drink offering of a quarter
hin of wine.
And ye shall eat neither bread, nor
parched corn, nor green ears, until the
selfsame day that ye have brought an offering unto your God: it shall be a statute for ever throughout your generations in all your dwellings.
You must not eat any bread or
roasted or new
grain until the very day you have brought this offering to your God. This is to be a permanent statute for the generations to come, wherever you live.
Even unto the
morrow after the seventh sabbath shall ye number fifty days; and ye shall offer a new meat offering unto the LORD.
You shall count off fifty days until the day after the seventh Sabbath, and then present an offering of new grain to the LORD.
And ye shall offer with the bread seven lambs without
blemish of the first year, and one young
bullock, and two rams: they shall be for a burnt offering unto the LORD, with their meat offering, and their drink offerings, even an offering made by fire, of sweet savour unto the LORD.
Along with the bread you are to present seven
unblemished male lambs a year old, one young bull, and two rams. They will be a burnt offering to the LORD, together with their
grain offerings and drink offerings—an offering made by fire, a pleasing
aroma to the LORD.
These are the feasts of the LORD, which ye shall
proclaim to be holy convocations, to offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD, a burnt offering, and a meat offering, a sacrifice, and drink offerings, every thing upon his day:
These are the LORD’s appointed feasts, which you are to
proclaim as sacred
assemblies for presenting offerings by fire to the LORD—burnt offerings and
grain offerings, sacrifices and drink offerings, each on its designated day.
And ye shall eat old store, and bring forth the old because of the new.
You will still be eating the old supply of grain when you need to clear it out to make room for the new.
And to the office of
Eleazar the son of Aaron the priest pertaineth the oil for the light, and the sweet incense, and the daily meat offering, and the
anointing oil, and the oversight of all the tabernacle, and of all that therein is, in the sanctuary, and in the vessels thereof.
Eleazar son of Aaron the priest shall oversee the oil for the light, the
fragrant incense, the daily
grain offering, and the
anointing oil. He has oversight of the entire tabernacle and everything in it, including the holy objects and their utensils.”
Then shall the man bring his wife unto the priest, and he shall bring her offering for her, the tenth part of an
ephah of barley meal; he shall pour no oil upon it, nor put
frankincense thereon; for it is an offering of jealousy, an offering of
memorial, bringing iniquity to
remembrance.
then he is to bring his wife to the priest. He must also bring for her an offering of a tenth of an
ephah of barley flour. He is not to pour oil over it or put
frankincense on it, because it is a
grain offering for jealousy, an offering of
memorial as a reminder of iniquity.
And the priest shall set the woman before the LORD, and uncover the woman’s head, and put the offering of
memorial in her hands, which is the jealousy offering: and the priest shall have in his hand the bitter water that causeth the
curse:
After the priest has the woman stand before the LORD, he is to let down her hair and place in her hands the
grain offering of
memorial, which is the
grain offering for jealousy. The priest is to hold the bitter water that brings a
curse.
Then the priest shall take the jealousy offering out of the woman’s hand, and shall wave the offering before the LORD, and offer it upon the altar:
The priest shall take from her hand the grain offering for jealousy, wave it before the LORD, and bring it to the altar.
And the priest shall take an handful of the offering, even the
memorial thereof, and burn it upon the altar, and afterward shall cause the woman to drink the water.
Then the priest is to take a handful of the
grain offering as a
memorial portion and burn it on the altar; after that he is to have the woman drink the water.
together with their
grain offerings and drink offerings—and a
basket of
unleavened cakes made from fine flour mixed with oil and
unleavened wafers coated with oil.
And he shall offer the ram for a sacrifice of peace offerings unto the LORD, with the
basket of
unleavened bread: the priest shall offer also his meat offering, and his drink offering.
He shall also offer the ram as a peace offering to the LORD, along with the
basket of
unleavened bread. And the priest is to offer the accompanying
grain offering and drink offering.

All the oxen for the burnt offering were twelve bullocks, the rams twelve, the lambs of the first year twelve, with their meat offering: and the kids of the goats for sin offering twelve.
All the
livestock for the burnt offering totaled twelve bulls, twelve rams, and twelve male lambs a year old—together with their
grain offerings—and twelve male goats for the sin offering.
Then let them take a young
bullock with his meat offering, even fine flour mingled with oil, and another young
bullock shalt thou take for a sin offering.
Then have them take a young bull with its grain offering of fine flour mixed with oil, and you are to take a second young bull for a sin offering.
Then shall he that offereth his offering unto the LORD bring a meat offering of a tenth deal of flour mingled with the fourth part of an
hin of oil.
then the one presenting his offering to the LORD shall also present a
grain offering of a tenth of an
ephah of fine flour mixed with a quarter
hin of olive oil.
Or for a ram, thou shalt prepare for a meat offering two tenth deals of flour mingled with the third part of an
hin of oil.
With a ram you are to prepare a
grain offering of two-tenths of an
ephah of fine flour mixed with a third of a
hin of olive oil,
Then shall he bring with a
bullock a meat offering of three tenth deals of flour mingled with half an
hin of oil.
present with the bull a
grain offering of three-tenths of an
ephah of fine flour mixed with half a
hin of olive oil.
Then it shall be, if ought be committed by ignorance without the knowledge of the congregation, that all the congregation shall offer one young
bullock for a burnt offering, for a sweet savour unto the LORD, with his meat offering, and his drink offering, according to the manner, and one
kid of the goats for a sin offering.
and if it was done
unintentionally without the knowledge of the congregation, then the whole congregation is to prepare one young bull as a burnt offering, a pleasing
aroma to the LORD, with its
grain offering and drink offering according to the regulation, and one male goat as a sin offering.
This shall be thine of the most holy things, reserved from the fire: every
oblation of theirs, every meat offering of theirs, and every sin offering of theirs, and every
trespass offering of theirs, which they shall render unto me, shall be most holy for thee and for thy sons.
A portion of the most holy offerings reserved from the fire will be yours. From all the offerings they render to Me as most holy offerings, whether grain offerings or sin offerings or guilt offerings, that part belongs to you and your sons.
All the best of the oil, and all the best of the wine, and of the wheat, the firstfruits of them which they shall offer unto the LORD, them have I given thee.
I give you all the freshest olive oil and all the finest new wine and grain that the Israelites give to the LORD as their firstfruits.
And this your
heave offering shall be reckoned unto you, as though it were the corn of the threshingfloor, and as the
fulness of the winepress.
Your offering will be reckoned to you as
grain from the
threshing floor or juice from the winepress.
And wherefore have ye made us to come up out of Egypt, to bring us in unto this evil place? it is no place of seed, or of figs, or of vines, or of pomegranates; neither is there any water to drink.
Why have you led us up out of Egypt to bring us to this
wretched place? It is not a place of
grain, figs, vines, or pomegranates—and there is no water to drink!”
And a tenth part of an
ephah of flour for a meat offering, mingled with the fourth part of an
hin of beaten oil.

ephah of fine flour as a
grain offering, mixed with a quarter
hin of oil from pressed olives.
And the other lamb shalt thou offer at even: as the meat offering of the morning, and as the drink offering thereof, thou shalt offer it, a sacrifice made by fire, of a sweet savour unto the LORD.
And offer the second lamb at
twilight, with the same
grain offering and drink offering as in the morning. It is an offering made by fire, a pleasing
aroma to the LORD.
And on the sabbath day two lambs of the first year without spot, and two tenth deals of flour for a meat offering, mingled with oil, and the drink offering thereof:
On the Sabbath day, present two
