And Jesus, which is called Justus, who are of the
circumcision. These only are my fellow workers unto the
kingdom of God, which have been a comfort unto me.
Jesus, who is called Justus, also sends greetings. These are the only Jews among my fellow workers for the kingdom of God, and they have been a comfort to me.
For they themselves
shew of us what manner of entering in we had unto you, and how ye turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God;
For they themselves report what
kind of
welcome you gave us, and how you turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God
That ye would walk worthy of God, who hath called you unto his kingdom and glory.
encouraging you, comforting you, and
urging you to walk in a manner worthy of God, who calls you into His own
kingdom and glory.
Which is a manifest
token of the righteous judgment of God, that ye may be counted worthy of the
kingdom of God, for which ye also suffer:
All this is clear evidence of God’s righteous judgment. And so you will be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which you are suffering.
Even him, whose coming is after the working of
Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,
The coming of the lawless one will be accompanied by the working of
Satan, with every
kind of power, sign, and false wonder,
Now unto the
King eternal,
immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honour and glory for ever and ever.
Amen.
Now to the
King eternal,
immortal, and invisible, the only God, be honor and glory
forever and ever.
Amen.
For
kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all
godliness and
honesty.
for
kings and all those in authority—so that we may lead
tranquil and quiet lives in all
godliness and dignity.
For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some
coveted after, they have
erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
For the love of money is the root of all
kinds of evil. By
craving it, some have
wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many sorrows.
Which in his times he shall
shew, who is the blessed and only
Potentate, the
King of
kings, and Lord of lords;
which the blessed and only Sovereign One—the King of kings and Lord of lords—will bring about in His own time.
And the servant of the Lord must not
strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient,
I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom;
I charge you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who will judge the living and the dead, and in view of His appearing and His kingdom:
And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me unto his heavenly
kingdom: to whom be glory for ever and ever.
Amen.
And the Lord will
rescue me from every evil action and bring me safely into His heavenly
kingdom. To Him be the glory
forever and ever.
Amen.
to be self-
controlled, pure, managers of their households,
kind, and
submissive to their own husbands, so that the word of God will not be discredited.
But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared,
But when the
kindness of God our
Savior and His love for mankind appeared,
But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a
sceptre of righteousness is the
sceptre of thy
kingdom.
But about the Son He says: “Your throne, O God, endures
forever and ever, and justice is the
scepter of Your
kingdom.
For this Melchisedec,
king of
Salem, priest of the most high God, who met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the
kings, and blessed him;
This
Melchizedek was
king of
Salem and priest of God Most High. He met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the
kings and blessed him,
To whom also Abraham gave a tenth part of all; first being by interpretation
King of righteousness, and after that also
King of
Salem, which is,
King of peace;
and Abraham
apportioned to him a tenth of everything. First, his name means “
king of righteousness.” Then also, “
king of
Salem” means “
king of peace.”
By faith Moses, when he was born, was
hid three months of his parents, because they saw he was a proper child; and they were not afraid of the
king’s commandment.
By faith Moses’ parents
hid him for three months after his birth, because they saw that he was a beautiful child, and they were unafraid of the
king’s edict.
By faith he
forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the
king: for he
endured, as seeing him who is invisible.
By faith Moses left Egypt, not fearing the
king’s anger; he
persevered because he saw Him who is invisible.
Who through faith subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions,
who through faith conquered kingdoms, administered justice, and gained what was promised; who shut the mouths of lions,
Wherefore we receiving a
kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God
acceptably with reverence and godly fear:
Be not carried about with
divers and strange doctrines. For it is a good thing that the heart be established with grace; not with meats, which have not profited them that have been occupied therein.
Do not be carried away by all kinds of strange teachings, for it is good for the heart to be strengthened by grace and not by foods of no value to those devoted to them.
My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into
divers temptations;
Consider it pure joy, my brothers, when you
encounter trials of many
kinds,
Of his own will
begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a
kind of firstfruits of his creatures.
He chose to give us birth through the word of truth, that we would be a kind of firstfruits of His creation.
Hearken, my beloved brethren, Hath not God chosen the poor of this world rich in faith, and heirs of the
kingdom which he hath promised to them that love him?
Listen, my beloved brothers: Has not God chosen the poor of this world to be rich in faith and to
inherit the
kingdom He promised those who love Him?
Even so the tongue is a little member, and boasteth great things. Behold, how great a matter a little fire kindleth!
In the same way, the tongue is a small part of the body, but it boasts of great things. Consider how small a
spark sets a great forest
ablaze.
For every
kind of beasts, and of birds, and of serpents, and of things in the sea, is
tamed, and hath been
tamed of mankind:
All
kinds of animals, birds, reptiles, and creatures of the sea are being
tamed and have been
tamed by man,
Submit
yourselves to every
ordinance of man for the Lord’s sake: whether it be to the
king, as supreme;
Submit
yourselves for the Lord’s sake to every human institution, whether to the
king as the supreme authority,
Honour all men. Love the
brotherhood. Fear God. Honour the
king.
Whom resist
stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.
Resist him, standing firm in your faith and in the knowledge that your brothers throughout the world are undergoing the same kinds of suffering.
And to
godliness brotherly
kindness; and to brotherly
kindness charity.
and to
godliness, brotherly
kindness; and to brotherly
kindness, love.
For so an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the
everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
and you will receive a
lavish reception into the eternal
kingdom of our Lord and
Savior Jesus Christ.
Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and
godliness,
Since everything will be destroyed in this way, what
kind of people ought you to be? You ought to conduct
yourselves in
holiness and
godliness If any man see his brother sin a sin which is not unto death, he shall ask, and he shall give him life for them that sin not unto death. There is a sin unto death: I do not say that he shall pray for it.
If
anyone sees his brother
committing a sin not leading to death, he should ask God, who will give life to those who commit this
kind of sin. There is a sin that leads to death; I am not saying he should ask regarding that sin.
And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first
begotten of the dead, and the prince of the
kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,
and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the
firstborn from the dead, and the ruler of the
kings of the earth. To Him who loves us and has released us from our sins by His blood,
And hath made us
kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever.
Amen.
who has made us to be a
kingdom, priests to His God and Father—to Him be the glory and power
forever and ever!
Amen.
Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all
kindreds of the earth shall
wail because of him. Even so,
Amen.
Behold, He is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see Him—even those who pierced Him. And all the tribes of the earth will
mourn because of Him. So shall it be!
Amen.
I John, who also am your brother, and companion in
tribulation, and in the
kingdom and
patience of Jesus Christ, was in the isle that is called
Patmos, for the word of God, and for the testimony of Jesus Christ.
I, John, your brother and
partner in the
tribulation and
kingdom and
perseverance that are in Jesus, was on the island of
Patmos because of the word of God and my testimony about Jesus.
And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou
wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every
kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation;
And they
sang a new song: “Worthy are You to take the
scroll and open its seals, because You were slain, and by Your blood You purchased for God those from every tribe and tongue and people and nation.
And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.
You have made them to be a kingdom and priests to serve our God, and they will reign upon the earth.”
And the
kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every
bondman, and every free man,
hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains;
Then the
kings of the earth, the nobles, the commanders, the rich, the mighty, and every slave and free man
hid in the caves and among the rocks of the mountains.
After this I
beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and
kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands;
After this I looked and saw a multitude too large to count, from every nation and tribe and people and tongue, standing before the throne and before the Lamb. They were wearing white robes and holding palm branches in their hands.
And they had a
king over them, which is the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in the Hebrew tongue is
Abaddon, but in the Greek tongue hath his name
Apollyon.
They were ruled by a
king, the angel of the
Abyss. His name in Hebrew is
Abaddon, and in Greek it is
Apollyon.
And he said unto me, Thou must
prophesy again before many peoples, and nations, and tongues, and
kings.
And they told me, “You must
prophesy again about many peoples and nations and tongues and
kings.”
These have power to shut heaven, that it rain not in the days of their prophecy: and have power over waters to turn them to blood, and to
smite the earth with all plagues, as often as they will.
These witnesses have power to shut the sky so that no rain will fall during the days of their prophecy, and power to turn the waters into blood and to strike the earth with every kind of plague as often as they wish.
And they of the people and kindreds and tongues and nations shall see their dead bodies three days and an half, and shall not suffer their dead bodies to be put in graves.
For three and a half days all peoples and tribes and tongues and nations will view their bodies and will not permit them to be laid in a tomb.
And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.
Then the seventh angel sounded his
trumpet, and loud voices called out in heaven: “The
kingdom of the world has become the
kingdom of our Lord and of His Christ, and He will reign
forever and ever.”
And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the
kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the
accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.
And I heard a loud voice in heaven saying: “Now have come the salvation and the power and the
kingdom of our God, and the authority of His Christ. For the
accuser of our brothers has been thrown down— he who accuses them day and night before our God.
And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.
Then the beast was permitted to
wage war against the saints and to
conquer them, and it was given authority over every tribe and people and tongue and nation.
And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the
everlasting gospel to
preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and
kindred, and tongue, and people,
Then I saw another angel flying overhead, with the eternal gospel to
proclaim to those who dwell on the earth—to every nation and tribe and tongue and people.
And they sing the song of Moses the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, Great and marvellous are thy works, Lord God
Almighty; just and true are thy ways, thou
King of saints.
and they
sang the song of God’s servant Moses and of the Lamb: “Great and wonderful are Your works, O Lord God
Almighty! Just and true are Your ways, O
King of the nations!
And the fifth angel poured out his
vial upon the seat of the beast; and his
kingdom was full of darkness; and they
gnawed their tongues for pain,
And the fifth angel poured out his
bowl on the throne of the beast, and its
kingdom was
plunged into darkness, and men began to
gnaw their tongues in
anguish And the sixth angel poured out his
vial upon the great river Euphrates; and the water thereof was dried up, that the way of the
kings of the east might be prepared.
And the sixth angel poured out his
bowl on the great river Euphrates, and its water was dried up to prepare the way for the
kings of the East.
For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the
kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God
Almighty.
These are
demonic spirits that perform signs and go out to all the
kings of the earth, to
assemble them for battle on the great day of God the
Almighty.
And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue
Armageddon.
And they assembled the
kings in the place that in Hebrew is called
Armageddon.
With whom the
kings of the earth have committed
fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth have been made
drunk with the wine of her
fornication.
The
kings of the earth were immoral with her, and those who dwell on the earth were
intoxicated with the wine of her immorality.”
And there are seven kings: five are fallen, and one is, and the other is not yet come; and when he cometh, he must continue a short space.
There are also seven kings. Five have fallen, one is, and the other has not yet come; but when he does come, he must remain for only a little while.
And the beast that was, and is not, even he is the eighth, and is of the seven, and goeth into
perdition.
The beast that was, and now is not, is an eighth king, who belongs to the other seven and is going into destruction.
And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast.
The ten horns you saw are ten kings who have not yet received a kingdom, but will receive one hour of authority as kings, along with the beast.
These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast.
These kings have one purpose: to yield their power and authority to the beast.
These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful.
They will make war against the Lamb, and the Lamb will triumph over them, because He is Lord of lords and King of kings; and He will be accompanied by His called and chosen and faithful ones.”
For God hath put in their hearts to fulfil his will, and to agree, and give their kingdom unto the beast, until the words of God shall be fulfilled.
For God has put it into their hearts to carry out His purpose by uniting to give their kingdom to the beast, until the words of God are fulfilled.
And the woman which thou sawest is that great city, which reigneth over the kings of the earth.
And the woman you saw is the great city that rules over the kings of the earth.”
For all nations have
drunk of the wine of the wrath of her
fornication, and the
kings of the earth have committed
fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her
delicacies.
All the nations have
drunk the wine of the passion of her immorality. The
kings of the earth were immoral with her, and the merchants of the earth have grown wealthy from the
extravagance of her
luxury.”
And the
kings of the earth, who have committed
fornication and lived
deliciously with her, shall
bewail her, and
lament for her, when they shall see the smoke of her burning,
Then the
kings of the earth who committed sexual immorality and lived in
luxury with her will
weep and
wail at the sight of the smoke rising from the fire that consumes her.
The
merchandise of gold, and silver, and precious stones, and of pearls, and fine linen, and purple, and silk, and scarlet, and all thyine wood, and all manner vessels of ivory, and all manner vessels of most precious wood, and of brass, and iron, and marble,
cargo of gold, silver, precious stones, and pearls; of fine linen, purple, silk, and scarlet; of all
kinds of
citron wood and every article of ivory, precious wood, bronze, iron, and marble;
And he hath on his
vesture and on his
thigh a name written,
KING OF
KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.
And He has a name written on His
robe and on His
thigh:
KING OF
KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.
That ye may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of captains, and the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses, and of them that sit on them, and the flesh of all men, both free and bond, both small and great.
so that you may eat the flesh of
kings and commanders and mighty men, of horses and riders, of
everyone slave and free, small and great.”
And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army.
Then I saw the beast and the
kings of the earth with their armies assembled to
wage war against the One seated on the horse, and against His army.
The foundations of the city walls were adorned with every
kind of precious stone: The first foundation was
jasper, the second
sapphire, the third
chalcedony, the fourth
emerald,
And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honour into it.
By its light the nations will walk, and into it the kings of the earth will bring their glory.
In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the
healing of the nations.
down the middle of the main street of the city. On either side of the river stood a tree of life, bearing twelve
kinds of fruit and yielding a fresh crop for each month. And the leaves of the tree are for the
healing of the nations.
And he spake unto the Levites, the holy ministers of Israel, that they should
hallow themselves unto the Lord, to set the holy ark of the Lord in the house that
king Solomon the son of David had built:
And said, Ye shall no more bear the ark upon your shoulders: now therefore serve the Lord your God, and minister unto his people Israel, and prepare you after your families and kindreds,
According as David the
king of Israel prescribed, and according to the
magnificence of Solomon his son: and standing in the temple according to the several dignity of the families of you the Levites, who minister in the presence of your brethren the children of Israel,
And unto the people that was found there Josias gave thirty thousand lambs and kids, and three thousand
calves: these things were given of the
king’s allowance, according as he promised, to the people, to the priests, and to the Levites.
And when these things were done, the priests and Levites, having the
unleavened bread, stood in very comely order according to the
kindreds,
The holy singers also, the sons of
Asaph, were in their order, according to the appointment of David, to wit,
Asaph,
Zacharias, and
Jeduthun, who was of the
king’s
retinue.
And offer sacrifices upon the altar of the Lord, according to the commandment of king Josias.
Yea, all the
kings of Israel held not such a
passover as Josias, and the priests, and the Levites, and the Jews, held with all Israel that were found dwelling at Jerusalem.
As for the things that came to pass in his time, they were written in former times, concerning those that
sinned, and did wickedly against the Lord above all people and
kingdoms, and how they
grieved him exceedingly, so that the words of the Lord rose up against Israel.
Now after all these acts of Josias it came to pass, that Pharaoh the king of Egypt came to raise war at Carchamis upon Euphrates: and Josias went out against him.
But the
king of Egypt sent to him, saying, What have I to do with thee, O
king of
Judea?
But joined battle with him in the plain of Magiddo, and the princes came against king Josias.
Then said the king unto his servants, Carry me away out of the battle; for I am very weak. And immediately his servants took him away out of the battle.
These things are written in the book of the stories of the
kings of Judah, and every one of the acts that Josias did, and his glory, and his understanding in the law of the Lord, and the things that he had done before, and the things now recited, are reported in the book of the
kings of Israel and
Judea.
And the people took Joachaz the son of Josias, and made him king instead of Josias his father, when he was twenty and three years old.
And he reigned in
Judea and in Jerusalem three months: and then the
king of Egypt
deposed him from reigning in Jerusalem.
The
king of Egypt also made
king Joacim his brother
king of
Judea and Jerusalem.
Five and twenty years old was Joacim when he was made
king in the land of
Judea and Jerusalem; and he did evil before the Lord.
Wherefore against him Nabuchodonosor the king of Babylon came up, and bound him with a chain of brass, and carried him into Babylon.
But those things that are recorded of him, and of his uncleaness and impiety, are written in the chronicles of the kings.
And Joacim his son reigned in his
stead: he was made
king being eighteen years old;
And made Zedechias
king of
Judea and Jerusalem, when he was one and twenty years old; and he reigned eleven years:
And after that
king Nabuchodonosor had made him to
swear by the name of the Lord, he
forswore himself, and rebelled; and
hardening his neck, his heart, he
transgressed the laws of the Lord God of Israel.
So far forth, that he, being
wroth with his people for their great
ungodliness, commanded the
kings of the Chaldees to come up against them;
And they took all the holy vessels of the Lord, both great and small, with the vessels of the ark of God, and the king’s treasures, and carried them away into Babylon.
In the first year of Cyrus king of the Persians, that the word of the Lord might be accomplished, that he had promised by the mouth of Jeremy;
The Lord raised up the spirit of Cyrus the
king of the Persians, and he made
proclamation through all his
kingdom, and also by writing,
