more to your yoke: my father
chastised you with whips, but I will

scourged you with whips, I will
scourge you with scorpions.’”

captives here,” they said, “for you are
proposing to bring guilt upon us from the LORD and to add to our sins and our guilt. For our guilt is great, and fierce anger is upon Israel.”

sanctified the house of the LORD in eight days; and in the
sixteenth day of the first month they made an end.

more upright in heart to
sanctify themselves than the priests.
However, since there were not enough priests to skin all the burnt offerings, their
Levite brothers helped them until the work was finished and until the priests had been consecrated. For the Levites had been

Moreover thou leddest them in the day by a
cloudy pillar; and in the night by a
pillar of fire, to give them light in the way wherein they should go.
You led them with a
pillar of cloud by day and a
pillar of fire by night, to light for them the way in which they should travel.
Moreover thou gavest them kingdoms and nations, and
didst divide them into corners: so they possessed the land of Sihon, and the land of the king of
Heshbon, and the land of

dough, and our offerings, and the fruit of all manner of trees, of wine and of oil, unto the priests, to the chambers of the house of our God; and the
tithes of our ground unto the Levites, that the same Levites might have the
tithes in all the cities of our
tillage.
Moreover, we will bring to the priests at the storerooms of the house of our God the firstfruits of our
dough, of our grain offerings, of the fruit of all our trees, and of our new wine and oil. A tenth of our produce belongs to the Levites, so that they shall receive
tithes in all the towns where we labor.

Did not your fathers thus, and did not our God bring all this evil upon us, and upon this city? yet ye bring
more wrath upon Israel by
profaning the sabbath.
Did not your forefathers do the same things, so that our God brought all this
disaster on us and on this city? And now you are
rekindling His wrath against Israel by
profaning the Sabbath!”
Then I
testified against them, and said unto them, Why
lodge ye about the wall? if ye do so again, I will lay hands on you. From that time forth came they no
more on the sabbath.
but I
warned them, “Why are you camping in front of the wall? If you do it again, I will lay hands on you.” From that time on, they did not return on the Sabbath.
If it please the king, let there go a royal commandment from him, and let it be written among the laws of the Persians and the Medes, that it be not altered, That Vashti come no
more before king
Ahasuerus; and let the king give her royal estate unto another that is better than she.
So if it pleases the king, let him issue a royal decree, and let it be recorded in the laws of Persia and Media so that it cannot be
repealed, that Vashti shall never again enter the presence of King
Xerxes, and that her royal position shall be given to a woman better than she.
In the evening she went, and on the
morrow she returned into the second house of the women, to the
custody of Shaashgaz, the king’s
chamberlain, which kept the concubines: she came in unto the king no
more, except the king delighted in her, and that she were called by name.
She would go there in the evening, and in the morning she would return to a second
harem under the care of Shaashgaz, the king’s
eunuch in charge of the concubines. She would not return to the king unless he delighted in her and summoned her by name.
And the king loved
Esther above all the women, and she obtained grace and favour in his sight
more than all the virgins; so that he set the royal crown upon her head, and made her queen instead of Vashti.
And the king loved
Esther more than all the other women, and she found grace and favor in his sight
more than all of the other virgins. So he placed the royal crown upon her head and made her queen in place of Vashti.
Then
Mordecai commanded to answer

thyself that thou shalt escape in the king’s house,
more than all the Jews.

Haman said
moreover,
Yea,
Esther the queen did let no man come in with the king unto the
banquet that she had prepared but myself; and to
morrow am I invited unto her also with the king.
“What is
more,”
Haman added, “Queen
Esther invited no one but me to join the king at the
banquet she prepared, and I am invited back
tomorrow along with the king.
So
Haman came in. And the king said unto him, What shall be done unto the man whom the king delighteth to honour? Now
Haman thought in his heart, To whom would the king delight to do honour
more than to myself?
Haman entered, and the king asked him, “What should be done for the man whom the king is delighted to honor?” Now
Haman thought to himself, “Whom would the king be delighted to honor
more than me?”
And the king said again unto
Esther on the second day at the
banquet of wine, What is thy petition, queen
Esther? and it shall be granted thee: and what is thy request? and it shall be performed, even to the half of the kingdom.
and as they
drank their wine on that second day, the king asked once
more, “Queen
Esther, what is your petition? It will be given to you. What is your request? Even up to half the kingdom, it will be fulfilled.”
For
Mordecai was great in the king’s house, and his fame went out throughout all the provinces: for this man
Mordecai waxed greater and greater.
For
Mordecai exercised great power in the palace, and his fame spread throughout the provinces as he became
more and
more powerful.
Which long for death, but it cometh not; and
dig for it
more than for
hid treasures;
who long for death that does not come, and search for it like hidden
treasure,
Shall
mortal man be
more just than God? shall a man be
more pure than his maker?
‘Can a
mortal be
more righteous than God, or a man
more pure than his Maker?
How much less in them that dwell in houses of clay, whose foundation is in the dust, which are
crushed before the
moth?
how much
more those who dwell in houses of clay, whose foundations are in the dust, who can be
crushed like a
moth!
O remember that my life is wind: mine eye shall no more see good.
Remember that my life is but a breath. My eyes will never again see happiness.
The eye of him that hath seen me shall see me no more: thine eyes are upon me, and I am not.
The eye that beholds me will no longer see me. You will look for me, but I will be no more.
As the cloud is consumed and vanisheth away: so he that goeth down to the grave shall come up no more.
As a cloud vanishes and is gone, so he who goes down to
Sheol does not come back up.
He shall return no more to his house, neither shall his place know him any more.
He never returns to his house; his place remembers him no more.
And why
dost thou not
pardon my
transgression, and take away mine iniquity? for now shall I sleep in the dust; and thou shalt seek me in the morning, but I shall not be.
Why do You not
pardon my
transgression and take away my iniquity? For soon I will lie down in the dust; You will seek me, but I will be no
more.”
They that
hate thee shall be clothed with shame; and the dwelling place of the wicked shall come to
nought.
Your enemies will be clothed in shame, and the tent of the wicked will be no more.”
For vain man would be wise, though man be born like a wild
ass’s
colt.
But a witless man can no
more become wise than the
colt of a wild
donkey can be born a man!
He also shall be my salvation: for an
hypocrite shall not come before him.
Moreover, this will be my salvation, for no godless man can appear before Him.
So man lieth down, and riseth not: till the heavens be no
more, they shall not
awake, nor be raised out of their sleep.
so a man lies down and does not rise. Until the heavens are no
more, he will not be
awakened or
roused from sleep.
how much less man, who is
vile and corrupt, who drinks injustice like water?
The eye also which saw him shall see him no more; neither shall his place any more behold him.
The eye that saw him will see him no more, and his place will no longer behold him.
Neither have I gone back from the commandment of his lips; I have esteemed the words of his mouth more than my necessary food.
I have not departed from the command of His lips; I have
treasured the words of His mouth
more than my daily bread.
The
womb shall
forget him; the worm shall feed sweetly on him; he shall be no
more remembered; and wickedness shall be broken as a tree.
The
womb forgets them; the worm feeds on them; they are remembered no
more. So injustice is like a broken tree.
Moreover Job continued his parable, and said,
Job continued his discourse:
The rich man shall lie down, but he shall not be gathered: he openeth his eyes, and he is not.
He lies down wealthy, but will do so no more; when he opens his eyes, all is gone.
Moreover Job continued his parable, and said,
And Job continued his discourse:
After my words they spake not again; and my speech dropped upon them.
After my words, they spoke no
more; my speech settled on them like
dew.
They were
amazed, they answered no
more: they left off speaking.
Job’s friends are dismayed, with no more to say; words have escaped them.
When I had waited, (for they spake not, but stood still, and answered no more;)
Must I wait, now that they are silent, now that they stand and no longer reply?
How much less to him that accepteth not the persons of princes, nor regardeth the rich more than the poor? for they all are the work of his hands.
who is not partial to princes and does not favor rich over poor? For they are all the work of His hands.
For he will not lay upon man more than right; that he should enter into judgment with God.
For God need not examine a man further or have him approach for judgment.
Surely it is meet to be said unto God, I have borne
chastisement, I will not
offend any
more:
Suppose someone says to God, ‘I have
endured my punishment; I will
offend no
more.
That which I see not teach thou me: if I have done iniquity, I will do no more.
Teach me what I cannot see; if I have done wrong, I will not do it again.’
Elihu spake
moreover, and said,
And
Elihu went on to say:
Thinkest thou this to be right, that thou saidst, My righteousness is more than God’s?
“Do you think this is just? You say, ‘I am more righteous than God.’
Who teacheth us more than the beasts of the earth, and maketh us wiser than the fowls of heaven?
who teaches us more than the beasts of the earth and makes us wiser than the birds of the air?’
Suffer me a little, and I will
shew thee that I have yet to speak on God’s behalf.
“Bear with me a little longer, and I will show you that there is more to be said on God’s behalf.
Moreover the LORD answered Job, and said,
And the LORD said to Job:
Lay thine hand upon him, remember the battle, do no more.
If you lay a hand on him, you will remember the battle and never
repeat it!
So the LORD blessed the latter end of Job
more than his beginning: for he had fourteen thousand sheep, and six thousand camels, and a thousand yoke of oxen, and a thousand she
asses.
So the LORD blessed Job’s latter days
more than his first. He owned 14,000 sheep, 6,000 camels, 1,000 yoke of oxen, and 1,000 female
donkeys.
Thou hast put
gladness in my heart,
more than in the time that their corn and their wine increased.
You have filled my heart with more joy than when grain and new wine abound.
To judge the fatherless and the
oppressed, that the man of the earth may no
more oppress.
to
vindicate the fatherless and
oppressed, that the men of the earth may strike terror no
more.
Help, LORD; for the godly man ceaseth; for the faithful fail from among the children of men.
Help, O LORD, for the godly are no
more; the faithful have
vanished from among men.
