The LORD’S voice crieth unto the city, and the man of wisdom shall see thy name: hear ye the rod, and who hath appointed it.
The voice of the LORD calls out to the city (and it is sound wisdom to fear Your
name): “
Heed the rod and the One who ordained it.
And the LORD hath given a commandment concerning thee, that no more of thy
name be sown: out of the house of thy gods will I cut off the
graven image and the
molten image: I will make thy grave; for thou art
vile.
The LORD has issued a command concerning you, O
Nineveh: “There will be no descendants to carry on your
name. I will cut off the carved image and cast
idol from the house of your gods; I will prepare your grave, for you are contemptible.”
I will also stretch out mine hand upon Judah, and upon all the inhabitants of Jerusalem; and I will cut off the
remnant of
Baal from this place, and the
name of the Chemarims with the priests;
“I will stretch out My hand against Judah and against all who dwell in Jerusalem. I will cut off from this place every
remnant of
Baal, the
names of the
idolatrous and pagan priests—
For then will I turn to the people a pure language, that they may all call upon the name of the LORD, to serve him with one consent.
For then I will restore pure lips to the peoples, that all may call upon the name of the LORD and serve Him shoulder to shoulder.
I will also leave in the midst of thee an
afflicted and poor people, and they shall trust in the
name of the LORD.
But I will leave within you a
meek and humble people, and they will trust in the
name of the LORD.
At that time will I bring you again, even in the time that I gather you: for I will make you a name and a praise among all people of the earth, when I turn back your captivity before your eyes, saith the LORD.
At that time I will bring you in;
yes, at that time I will gather you. For I will give you fame and praise among all the peoples of the earth when I restore your
captives before your very eyes,” says the LORD.
I will bring it forth, saith the LORD of hosts, and it shall enter into the house of the
thief, and into the house of him that sweareth falsely by my
name: and it shall remain in the midst of his house, and shall
consume it with the timber thereof and the stones thereof.
I will send it out, declares the LORD of Hosts, and it will enter the house of the
thief and the house of him who swears falsely by My
name. It will remain inside his house and destroy it, down to its timbers and stones.”
And speak unto him, saying, Thus speaketh the LORD of hosts, saying, Behold the man whose name is The BRANCH; and he shall grow up out of his place, and he shall build the temple of the LORD:
And you are to tell him that this is what the LORD of Hosts says: ‘Here is a man whose name is the Branch, and He will branch out from His place and build the temple of the LORD.
And I will
strengthen them in the LORD; and they shall walk up and down in his
name, saith the LORD.
I will
strengthen them in the LORD, and in His
name they will walk,” declares the LORD.
And it shall come to pass in that day, saith the LORD of hosts, that I will cut off the names of the idols out of the land, and they shall no more be remembered: and also I will cause the prophets and the unclean spirit to pass out of the land.
And on that day, declares the LORD of Hosts, I will
erase the
names of the idols from the land, and they will no longer be remembered. I will also remove the prophets and the spirit of impurity from the land.
And it shall come to pass, that when any shall yet
prophesy, then his father and his mother that
begat him shall say unto him, Thou shalt not live; for thou speakest lies in the
name of the LORD: and his father and his mother that
begat him shall thrust him through when he prophesieth.
And if
anyone still prophesies, his father and mother who bore him will say to him, ‘You shall not remain alive, because you have spoken falsely in the
name of the LORD.’ When he prophesies, his father and mother who bore him will
pierce him through.
And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: they shall call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, It is my people: and they shall say, The LORD is my God.
This third I will bring through the fire; I will refine them like silver and test them like gold. They will call on My name, and I will answer them. I will say, ‘They are My people,’ and they will say, ‘The LORD is our God.’”
And the LORD shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one LORD, and his name one.
On that day the LORD will become King over all the earth—the LORD alone, and His name alone.
A son honoureth his father, and a servant his master: if then I be a father, where is mine honour? and if I be a master, where is my fear? saith the LORD of hosts unto you, O priests, that
despise my
name. And ye say, Wherein have we
despised thy
name?
“A son honors his father, and a servant his master. But if I am a father, where is My honor? And if I am a master, where is your fear of Me?” says the LORD of Hosts to you priests who
despise My
name. “But you ask, ‘How have we
despised Your
name?’
For from the rising of the sun even unto the going down of the same my name shall be great among the Gentiles; and in every place incense shall be offered unto my name, and a pure offering: for my name shall be great among the heathen, saith the LORD of hosts.
For My name will be great among the nations, from where the sun rises to where it sets. In every place, incense and pure offerings will be presented in My name, because My name will be great among the nations,” says the LORD of Hosts.
But
cursed be the
deceiver, which hath in his flock a male, and voweth, and sacrificeth unto the LORD a corrupt thing: for I am a great King, saith the LORD of hosts, and my
name is
dreadful among the heathen.
“But
cursed is the
deceiver who has an acceptable male in his flock and vows to give it, but sacrifices a defective animal to the Lord. For I am a great King,” says the LORD of Hosts, “and My
name is to be feared among the nations.
If ye will not hear, and if ye will not lay it to heart, to give glory unto my
name, saith the LORD of hosts, I will even send a
curse upon you, and I will
curse your blessings:
yea, I have
cursed them already, because ye do not lay it to heart.
If you do not
listen, and if you do not take it to heart to honor My
name,” says the LORD of Hosts, “I will send a
curse among you, and I will
curse your blessings.
Yes, I have already begun to
curse them, because you are not taking it to heart.
My covenant was with him of life and peace; and I gave them to him for the fear
wherewith he feared me, and was afraid before my
name.
“My covenant with him was one of life and peace, which I gave to him; it called for reverence, and he
revered Me and stood in
awe of My
name.
Then they that feared the LORD spake often one to another: and the LORD
hearkened, and heard it, and a book of
remembrance was written before him for them that feared the LORD, and that thought upon his
name.
At that time those who feared the LORD spoke with one another, and the LORD
listened and heard them. So a
scroll of
remembrance was written before Him regarding those who feared the LORD and honored His
name.
But unto you that fear my
name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with
healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as
calves of the
stall.
“But for you who fear My
name, the sun of righteousness will rise with
healing in its wings, and you will go out and
leap like
calves from the
stall.

firstborn son: and he called his
name JESUS.
But he had no union with her until she gave birth to a Son. And he gave Him the name Jesus.
After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven,
Hallowed be thy
name.
So then, this is how you should pray: ‘Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be Your
name.
Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not
prophesied in thy
name? and in thy
name have cast out devils? and in thy
name done many wonderful works?
Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not
prophesy in Your
name, and in Your
name drive out demons and perform many miracles?’

carpenter’s son? Isn’t His mother’s
name Mary, and aren’t His brothers James, Joseph, Simon, and
Judas?
And
whoso shall receive one such little child in my
name receiveth me.

Forbid him not: for there is no man which shall do a

miracle in My
name can turn around and speak evil of Me.
