offering, while I meet the LORD
yonder.

offering while I meet the LORD over there.”
And when he came to him, behold, he stood by his burnt offering, and the princes of Moab with him. And Balak said unto him, What hath the LORD spoken?
So he returned to Balak, who was standing there by his burnt offering with the princes of Moab. “What did the LORD say?” Balak asked.
And Balak did as
Balaam had said, and
offered a
bullock and a ram on every altar.
So Balak did as
Balaam had
instructed, and he
offered a bull and a ram on each altar.
And
Nadab and
Abihu died, when they
offered strange fire before the LORD.

Abihu died when they
offered unauthorized fire before the LORD.
Command the children of Israel, and say unto them, My offering, and my bread for my sacrifices made by fire, for a sweet savour unto me, shall ye observe to offer unto me in their due season.
“Command the Israelites and say to them: See that you present to Me at its appointed time the food for My
offerings by fire, as a pleasing
aroma to Me.
And thou shalt say unto them, This is the offering made by fire which ye shall offer unto the LORD; two lambs of the first year without spot day by day, for a continual burnt offering.
And tell them that this is the
offering made by fire you are to present to the LORD as a regular burnt
offering each day: two
unblemished year-old male lambs.
The one lamb shalt thou offer in the morning, and the other lamb shalt thou offer at even;
Offer one lamb in the morning and the other at
twilight,
And a tenth part of an
ephah of flour for a meat
offering, mingled with the fourth part of an
hin of beaten oil.
along with a tenth of an
ephah of fine flour as a grain

hin of oil from pressed olives.

And the drink
offering thereof shall be the fourth part of an
hin for the one lamb: in the holy place shalt thou cause the strong wine to be poured unto the LORD for a drink
offering.
The drink
offering accompanying each lamb shall be a quarter
hin. Pour out the
offering of
fermented drink to the LORD in the sanctuary area.
And the other lamb shalt thou offer at even: as the meat offering of the morning, and as the drink offering thereof, thou shalt offer it, a sacrifice made by fire, of a sweet savour unto the LORD.
And
offer the second lamb at
twilight, with the same grain
offering and drink
offering as in the morning. It is an
offering made by fire, a pleasing
aroma to the LORD.
And on the sabbath day two lambs of the first year without spot, and two tenth deals of flour for a meat offering, mingled with oil, and the drink offering thereof:
On the Sabbath day, present two
unblemished year-old male lambs, accompanied by a grain
offering of two-tenths of an
ephah of fine flour mixed with oil, as well as a drink
offering.

unblemished,
And three tenth deals of flour for a meat
offering, mingled with oil, for one
bullock; and two tenth deals of flour for a meat
offering, mingled with oil, for one ram;

offering, a pleasing
aroma, an
offering made by fire to the LORD.
And their drink
offerings shall be half an
hin of wine unto a
bullock, and the third part of an
hin unto a ram, and a fourth part of an
hin unto a lamb: this is the burnt
offering of every month throughout the months of the year.
Their drink
offerings shall be half a
hin of wine with each bull, a third of a
hin with the ram, and a quarter
hin with each lamb. This is the monthly burnt

offering unto the LORD shall be
offered, beside the continual burnt
offering, and his drink
offering.
In addition to the regular burnt offering with its drink offering, one male goat is to be presented to the LORD as a sin offering.
But ye shall
offer a sacrifice made by fire for a burnt
offering unto the LORD; two young bullocks, and one ram, and seven lambs of the first year: they shall be unto you without
blemish:

And their meat
offering shall be of flour mingled with oil: three tenth deals shall ye

Offer the same food each day for seven days as an
offering made by fire, a pleasing
aroma to the LORD. It is to be
offered with its drink
offering and the regular burnt
offering.
Also in the day of the firstfruits, when ye bring a new meat
offering unto the LORD, after your weeks be out, ye shall have an holy
convocation; ye shall do no
servile work:
On the day of firstfruits, when you present an offering of new grain to the LORD during the Feast of Weeks, you are to hold a sacred assembly; you must not do any regular work.
But ye shall offer the burnt offering for a sweet savour unto the LORD; two young bullocks, one ram, seven lambs of the first year;

Ye shall
offer them beside the continual burnt
offering, and his meat
offering, (they shall be unto you without
blemish) and their drink

Offer them with their drink

blemish:

And one
kid of the goats for a sin
offering, to make an
atonement for you:
Include one male goat as a sin
offering to make
atonement for you.
Beside the burnt offering of the month, and his meat offering, and the daily burnt offering, and his meat offering, and their drink offerings, according unto their manner, for a sweet savour, a sacrifice made by fire unto the LORD.
These are in addition to the monthly and daily burnt
offerings with their prescribed grain
offerings and drink
offerings. They are a pleasing
aroma, an
offering made by fire to the LORD.
But ye shall
offer a burnt
offering unto the LORD for a sweet savour; one young
bullock, one ram, and seven lambs of the first year; they shall be unto you without
blemish:
Present as a pleasing

offering of one young bull, one ram, and seven male lambs a year old, all
unblemished,

offering, in addition to the sin
offering of
atonement and the regular burnt
offering with its grain

aroma to the LORD, you are to present an
offering made by fire, a burnt
offering of thirteen young bulls, two rams, and fourteen male lambs a year old, all
unblemished,

These things ye shall do unto the LORD in your set feasts, beside your vows, and your
freewill offerings, for your burnt
offerings, and for your meat
offerings, and for your drink
offerings, and for your peace
offerings.
You are to present these
offerings to the LORD at your appointed times, in addition to your
vow and
freewill offerings, whether burnt
offerings, grain
offerings, drink
offerings, or peace
offerings.”
And Moses was
wroth with the
officers of the host, with the captains over thousands, and captains over hundreds, which came from the battle.
But Moses was
angry with the
officers of the army—the commanders of thousands and commanders of hundreds—who were returning from the battle.
Take it of their half, and give it unto
Eleazar the priest, for an
heave offering of the LORD.
Take it from their half and give it to
Eleazar the priest as an
offering to the LORD.
And Moses gave the tribute, which was the LORD’S
heave offering, unto
Eleazar the priest, as the LORD commanded Moses.
Moses gave the tribute to
Eleazar the priest as an
offering for the LORD, as the LORD had commanded Moses.
And the officers which were over thousands of the host, the captains of thousands, and captains of hundreds, came near unto Moses:
Then the officers who were over the units of the army—the commanders of thousands and of hundreds—approached Moses
We have therefore brought an
oblation for the LORD, what every man hath
gotten, of jewels of gold, chains, and bracelets, rings, earrings, and tablets, to make an
atonement for our souls before the LORD.
So we have brought to the LORD an
offering of the gold articles each man acquired—armlets, bracelets, rings, earrings, and necklaces—to make
atonement for ourselves before the LORD.”
And all the gold of the offering that they offered up to the LORD, of the captains of thousands, and of the captains of hundreds, was sixteen thousand seven hundred and fifty shekels.
All the gold that the commanders of thousands and of hundreds presented as an
offering to the LORD
weighed 16,750 shekels.
So I took the chief of your tribes, wise men, and known, and made them heads over you, captains over thousands, and captains over hundreds, and captains over
fifties, and captains over tens, and
officers among your tribes.
So I took the leaders of your tribes, wise and respected men, and appointed them as leaders over you—as commanders of thousands, of hundreds, of
fifties, and of tens, and as
officers for your tribes.
And I sent messengers out of the wilderness of Kedemoth unto Sihon king of
Heshbon with words of peace, saying,
So from the Wilderness of Kedemoth I sent messengers with an
offer of peace to Sihon king of
Heshbon, saying,
Only the cattle we took for a prey unto ourselves, and the
spoil of the cities which we took.
We carried
off for ourselves only the
livestock and the
plunder from the cities we captured.
But all the cattle, and the
spoil of the cities, we took for a prey to ourselves.
I call heaven and earth to witness against you this day, that ye shall soon utterly perish from
off the land
whereunto ye go over Jordan to possess it; ye shall not
prolong your days upon it, but shall utterly be destroyed.
I call heaven and earth as witnesses against you this day that you will quickly perish from the land that you are crossing the Jordan to possess. You will not live long upon it, but will be utterly destroyed.
(For the LORD thy God is a
jealous God among you) lest the anger of the LORD thy God be
kindled against thee, and destroy thee from
off the face of the earth.
For the LORD your God, who is among you, is a
jealous God. Otherwise the anger of the LORD your God will be
kindled against you, and He will
wipe you
off the face of the earth.
And the children of Israel took their journey from Beeroth of the children of Jaakan to Mosera: there Aaron died, and there he was buried; and
Eleazar his son ministered in the priest’s
office in his
stead.
The Israelites traveled from Beeroth
Bene-jaakan to Moserah, where Aaron died and was buried, and
Eleazar his son succeeded him as priest.
And then the LORD’S wrath be
kindled against you, and he shut up the heaven, that there be no rain, and that the land yield not her fruit; and lest ye perish quickly from
off the good land which the LORD giveth you.
or the anger of the LORD will be
kindled against you. He will shut the heavens so that there will be no rain, nor will the land yield its produce, and you will soon perish from the good land that the LORD is giving you.
And thither ye shall bring your burnt
offerings, and your sacrifices, and your
tithes, and
heave offerings of your hand, and your vows, and your
freewill offerings, and the firstlings of your herds and of your flocks:
To that place you are to bring your burnt
offerings and sacrifices, your
tithes and
heave offerings, your
vow offerings and
freewill offerings, as well as the
firstborn of your herds and flocks.
Then there shall be a place which the LORD your God shall choose to cause his name to dwell there; thither shall ye bring all that I command you; your burnt
offerings, and your sacrifices, your
tithes, and the
heave offering of your hand, and all your choice vows which ye
vow unto the LORD:
then the LORD your God will choose a dwelling for His Name. And there you are to bring everything I command you: your burnt
offerings and sacrifices, your
tithes and special gifts, and all the choice
offerings you
vow to the LORD.
Take
heed to
thyself that thou
offer not thy burnt
offerings in every place that thou seest:
Be careful not to offer your burnt offerings in just any place you see;
But in the place which the LORD shall choose in one of thy tribes, there thou shalt offer thy burnt offerings, and there thou shalt do all that I command thee.
you must
offer them only in the place the LORD will choose in one of your
tribal territories, and there you shall do all that I command you.
Thou mayest not eat within thy gates the
tithe of thy corn, or of thy wine, or of thy oil, or the firstlings of thy herds or of thy flock, nor any of thy vows which thou vowest, nor thy
freewill offerings, or
heave offering of thine hand:
Within your gates you must not eat the
tithe of your grain or new wine or oil, the
firstborn of your herds or flocks, any of the
offerings that you have
vowed to give, or your
freewill offerings or special gifts.
Only thy holy things which thou hast, and thy vows, thou shalt take, and go unto the place which the LORD shall choose:
But you are to take your holy things and your
vow offerings and go to the place the LORD will choose.
And thou shalt offer thy burnt offerings, the flesh and the blood, upon the altar of the LORD thy God: and the blood of thy sacrifices shall be poured out upon the altar of the LORD thy God, and thou shalt eat the flesh.
Present the meat and blood of your burnt offerings on the altar of the LORD your God. The blood of your other sacrifices must be poured out beside the altar of the LORD your God, but you may eat the meat.
When the LORD thy God shall cut
off the nations from before thee,
whither thou goest to possess them, and thou succeedest them, and dwellest in their land;
When the LORD your God cuts off before you the nations you are entering to dispossess, and you drive them out and live in their land,
Namely, of the gods of the people which are round about you,
nigh unto thee, or far
off from thee, from the one end of the earth even unto the other end of the earth;
the gods of the peoples around you, whether near or far, whether from one end of the earth or the other),
And thou shalt gather all the
spoil of it into the midst of the street thereof, and shalt burn with fire the city, and all the
spoil thereof every
whit, for the LORD thy God: and it shall be an
heap for ever; it shall not be built again.
And you are to gather all its
plunder in the middle of the public square, and completely burn the city and all its
plunder as a whole burnt
offering to the LORD your God. The city must remain a
mound of ruins
forever, never to be rebuilt.
And it shall be, if he say unto thee, I will not go away from thee; because he loveth thee and thine house, because he is well with thee;
But if your servant says to you, ‘I do not want to leave you,’ because he loves you and your household and is well off with you,
Thou shalt therefore sacrifice the
passover unto the LORD thy God, of the flock and the
herd, in the place which the LORD shall choose to place his name there.
You are to
offer to the LORD your God the
Passover sacrifice from the
herd or flock in the place the LORD will choose as a dwelling for His Name.
But at the place which the LORD thy God shall choose to place his name in, there thou shalt sacrifice the
passover at even, at the going down of the sun, at the season that thou camest forth out of Egypt.
You must only
offer the
Passover sacrifice at the place the LORD your God will choose as a dwelling for His Name. Do this in the evening as the sun sets, at the same time you departed from Egypt.
Seven weeks shalt thou number unto thee: begin to number the seven weeks from such time as thou beginnest to put the
sickle to the corn.
You are to count
off seven weeks from the time you first put the
sickle to the standing grain.
And thou shalt keep the feast of weeks unto the LORD thy God with a tribute of a
freewill offering of thine hand, which thou shalt give unto the LORD thy God, according as the LORD thy God hath blessed thee:
And you shall
celebrate the Feast of Weeks to the LORD your God with a
freewill offering that you give in proportion to how the LORD your God has blessed you,
Judges and officers shalt thou make thee in all thy gates, which the LORD thy God giveth thee, throughout thy tribes: and they shall judge the people with just judgment.
You are to
appoint judges and
officials for your tribes in every town that the LORD your God is giving you. They are to judge the people with righteous judgment.
The priests the Levites, and all the tribe of Levi, shall have no part nor inheritance with Israel: they shall eat the offerings of the LORD made by fire, and his inheritance.
The
Levitical priests—indeed the whole tribe of Levi—shall have no portion or inheritance with Israel. They are to eat the
offerings made by fire to the LORD; that is their inheritance.
And this shall be the priest’s due from the people, from them that
offer a sacrifice, whether it be ox or sheep; and they shall give unto the priest the shoulder, and the two cheeks, and the
maw.
This shall be the priests’ share from the people who offer a sacrifice, whether a bull or a sheep: the priests are to be given the shoulder, the jowls, and the stomach.
When the LORD thy God hath cut off the nations, whose land the LORD thy God giveth thee, and thou succeedest them, and dwellest in their cities, and in their houses;
When the LORD your God has cut off the nations whose land He is giving you, and when you have driven them out and settled in their cities and houses,
As when a man goeth into the wood with his neighbour to
hew wood, and his hand fetcheth a stroke with the
axe to cut down the tree, and the head slippeth from the
helve, and lighteth upon his neighbour, that he die; he shall
flee unto one of those cities, and live:
If he goes into the forest with his
neighbor to cut timber and swings his
axe to
chop down a tree, but the
blade flies off the handle and strikes and kills his
neighbor, he may
flee to one of these cities to save his life.
One witness shall not rise up against a man for any iniquity, or for any sin, in any sin that he sinneth: at the mouth of two witnesses, or at the mouth of three witnesses, shall the matter be established.
A
lone witness is not sufficient to establish any
wrongdoing or sin against a man, regardless of what
offense he may have committed. A matter must be established by the testimony of two or three witnesses.
Then both the men, between whom the controversy is, shall stand before the LORD, before the priests and the judges, which shall be in those days;
both parties to the dispute must stand in the presence of the LORD, before the priests and judges who are in office at that time.
And the
officers shall speak unto the people, saying, What man is there that hath built a new house, and hath not dedicated it? let him go and return to his house, lest he die in the battle, and another man
dedicate it.
Furthermore, the
officers are to address the army, saying, “Has any man built a new house and not dedicated it? Let him return home, or he may die in battle and another man
dedicate it.
And the
officers shall speak further unto the people, and they shall say, What man is there that is fearful and
fainthearted? let him go and return unto his house, lest his brethren’s heart
faint as well as his heart.
Then the
officers shall speak further to the army, saying, “Is any man afraid or
fainthearted? Let him return home, so that the hearts of his brothers will not
melt like his own.”
And it shall be, when the officers have made an end of speaking unto the people, that they shall make captains of the armies to lead the people.
When the
officers have finished addressing the army, they are to
appoint commanders to lead it.
When thou comest
nigh unto a city to fight against it, then
proclaim peace unto it.
When you approach a city to fight against it, you are to make an offer of peace.
And it shall be, if it make thee answer of peace, and open unto thee, then it shall be, that all the people that is found therein shall be tributaries unto thee, and they shall serve thee.
If they accept your offer of peace and open their gates, all the people there will become forced laborers to serve you.
Thus shalt thou do unto all the cities which are very far off from thee, which are not of the cities of these nations.
This is how you are to treat all the cities that are far away from you and do not belong to the nations nearby.
And the elders of that city shall bring down the
heifer unto a rough valley, which is neither eared nor sown, and shall strike
off the
heifer’s neck there in the valley:
bring the
heifer to a valley with running water that has not been
plowed or sown, and break its neck there by the stream.
And she shall put the
raiment of her captivity from
off her, and shall remain in thine house, and
bewail her father and her mother a full month: and after that thou shalt go in unto her, and be her husband, and she shall be thy wife.
and put aside the clothing of her captivity. After she has lived in your house a full month and
mourned her father and mother, you may have relations with her and be her husband, and she shall be your wife.
He that is wounded in the stones, or hath his privy member cut off, shall not enter into the congregation of the LORD.
No man with
crushed or severed
genitals may enter the assembly of the LORD.
