And he blessed them that day, saying, In thee shall Israel
bless, saying, God make thee as Ephraim and as
Manasseh: and he set Ephraim before
Manasseh.
So that day Jacob blessed them and said: “By you shall Israel
pronounce this blessing: ‘May God make you like Ephraim and
Manasseh.’” So he put Ephraim before
Manasseh.
Or if a soul
swear,
pronouncing with his lips to do evil, or to do good,
whatsoever it be that a man shall
pronounce with an oath, and it be
hid from him; when he knoweth of it, then he shall be guilty in one of these.
Or if someone swears
thoughtlessly with his lips to do anything good or evil—in whatever matter a man may
rashly pronounce an oath—even if he is unaware of it, when he realizes it, he is guilty in the matter.
And the priest shall look on the plague in the skin of the flesh: and when the hair in the plague is turned white, and the plague in sight be deeper than the skin of his flesh, it is a plague of
leprosy: and the priest shall look on him, and
pronounce him unclean.
The priest is to examine the
infection on his skin, and if the hair in the
infection has turned white and the
sore appears to be deeper than the skin, it is a skin disease. After the priest examines him, he must
pronounce him unclean.
And the priest shall look on him again the seventh day: and, behold, if the plague be somewhat dark, and the plague spread not in the skin, the priest shall
pronounce him clean: it is but a
scab: and he shall wash his clothes, and be clean.
The priest will examine him again on the seventh day, and if the
sore has
faded and has not spread on the skin, the priest shall
pronounce him clean; it is a
rash. The person must wash his clothes and be clean.
And if the priest see that, behold, the
scab spreadeth in the skin, then the priest shall
pronounce him unclean: it is a
leprosy.
The priest will reexamine him, and if the
rash has spread on the skin, the priest must
pronounce him unclean; he has a skin disease.
It is an old
leprosy in the skin of his flesh, and the priest shall
pronounce him unclean, and shall not shut him up: for he is unclean.
it is a
chronic skin disease and the priest must
pronounce him unclean. He need not
isolate him, for he is unclean.
Then the priest shall consider: and, behold, if the
leprosy have covered all his flesh, he shall
pronounce him clean that hath the plague: it is all turned white: he is clean.
the priest shall examine him, and if the disease has covered his entire body, he is to
pronounce the
infected person clean. Since it has all turned white, he is clean.
And the priest shall see the raw flesh, and
pronounce him to be unclean: for the raw flesh is unclean: it is a
leprosy.
When the priest sees the raw flesh, he must
pronounce him unclean. The raw flesh is unclean; it is a skin disease.
And the priest shall see him: and, behold, if the plague be turned into white; then the priest shall
pronounce him clean that hath the plague: he is clean.
The priest will reexamine him, and if the
infection has turned white, the priest is to
pronounce the
infected person clean; then he is clean.
And if, when the priest
seeth it, behold, it be in sight lower than the skin, and the hair thereof be turned white; the priest shall
pronounce him unclean: it is a plague of
leprosy broken out of the
boil.
The priest shall examine it, and if it appears to be beneath the skin and the hair in it has turned white, the priest shall
pronounce him unclean; it is a diseased
infection that has broken out in the
boil.
And if it spread much abroad in the skin, then the priest shall
pronounce him unclean: it is a plague.
If it spreads any further on the skin, the priest must
pronounce him unclean; it is an
infection.
But if the bright spot stay in his place, and spread not, it is a burning
boil; and the priest shall
pronounce him clean.
But if the spot remains unchanged and does not spread, it is only the
scar from the
boil, and the priest shall
pronounce him clean.
Then the priest shall look upon it: and, behold, if the hair in the bright spot be turned white, and it be in sight deeper than the skin; it is a
leprosy broken out of the burning: wherefore the priest shall
pronounce him unclean: it is the plague of
leprosy.
the priest must examine it. If the hair in the spot has turned white and the spot appears to be deeper than the skin, it is a disease that has broken out in the burn. The priest must
pronounce him unclean; it is a diseased
infection.
And the priest shall look upon him the seventh day: and if it be spread much abroad in the skin, then the priest shall
pronounce him unclean: it is the plague of
leprosy.
On the seventh day the priest is to reexamine him, and if it has spread further on the skin, the priest must
pronounce him unclean; it is a diseased
infection.
And if the bright spot stay in his place, and spread not in the skin, but it be somewhat dark; it is a rising of the burning, and the priest shall
pronounce him clean: for it is an inflammation of the burning.
But if the spot is unchanged and has not spread on the skin but has
faded, it is a swelling from the burn, and the priest is to
pronounce him clean; for it is only the
scar from the burn.
Then the priest shall see the plague: and, behold, if it be in sight deeper than the skin; and there be in it a yellow thin hair; then the priest shall
pronounce him unclean: it is a dry
scall, even a
leprosy upon the head or
beard.
the priest shall examine the
infection, and if it appears to be deeper than the skin and the hair in it is yellow and thin, the priest must
pronounce him unclean; it is a
scaly outbreak, an
infectious disease of the head or
chin.
And in the seventh day the priest shall look on the
scall: and, behold, if the
scall be not spread in the skin, nor be in sight deeper than the skin; then the priest shall
pronounce him clean: and he shall wash his clothes, and be clean.
On the seventh day the priest shall examine the
scaly outbreak, and if it has not spread on the skin and does not appear to be deeper than the skin, the priest is to
pronounce him clean. He must wash his clothes, and he will be clean.
But if the
scall be in his sight at a stay, and that there is black hair grown up therein; the
scall is
healed, he is clean: and the priest shall
pronounce him clean.
If, however, in his sight the
scaly outbreak is unchanged and black hair has grown in it, then it has
healed. He is clean, and the priest is to
pronounce him clean.
He is a
leprous man, he is unclean: the priest shall
pronounce him utterly unclean; his plague is in his head.
the man is diseased; he is unclean. The priest must
pronounce him unclean because of the
infection on his head.
This is the law of the plague of
leprosy in a garment of woollen or linen, either in the
warp, or
woof, or any thing of skins, to
pronounce it clean, or to
pronounce it unclean.
And he shall
sprinkle upon him that is to be
cleansed from the
leprosy seven times, and shall
pronounce him clean, and shall let the living bird loose into the open field.
Seven times he shall
sprinkle the one to be
cleansed of the skin disease. Then he shall
pronounce him clean and release the live bird into the open field.
And if the priest shall come in, and look upon it, and, behold, the plague hath not spread in the house, after the house was plaistered: then the priest shall
pronounce the house clean, because the plague is
healed.
If, however, the priest comes and inspects it, and the
mildew has not spread after the house has been replastered, he shall
pronounce the house clean, because the
mildew is gone.
At that time the LORD separated the tribe of Levi, to bear the ark of the covenant of the LORD, to stand before the LORD to minister unto him, and to
bless in his name, unto this day.
At that time the LORD set apart the tribe of Levi to carry the ark of the covenant of the LORD, to stand before the LORD to serve Him, and to
pronounce blessings in His name, as they do to this day.
And the priests the sons of Levi shall come near; for them the LORD thy God hath chosen to minister unto him, and to
bless in the name of the LORD; and by their word shall every controversy and every stroke be tried:
And the priests, the sons of Levi, shall come forward, for the LORD your God has chosen them to serve Him and
pronounce blessings in His name and to give a ruling in every dispute and case of
assault.
And this is the blessing,
wherewith Moses the man of God blessed the children of Israel before his death.
This is the blessing that Moses the man of God pronounced upon the Israelites before his death.
Then said they unto him, Say now
Shibboleth: and he said Sibboleth: for he could not frame to
pronounce it right. Then they took him, and
slew him at the passages of Jordan: and there fell at that time of the Ephraimites forty and two thousand.
they told him, “Please say
Shibboleth.” If he said, “Sibboleth,” because he could not
pronounce it correctly, they seized him and killed him at the fords of the Jordan. So at that time 42,000 Ephraimites were killed.
And as thy servant was
busy here and there, he was gone. And the king of Israel said unto him, So shall thy judgment be;
thyself hast decided it.
But while your servant was
busy here and there, the man disappeared.” And the king of Israel said to him, “So shall your judgment be; you have
pronounced it on
yourself.”
Now therefore, behold, the LORD hath put a lying spirit in the mouth of all these thy prophets, and the LORD hath spoken evil concerning thee.
So you see, the LORD has put a lying spirit in the mouths of all these prophets of yours, and the LORD has
pronounced disaster against you.”
Then he said, What title is that that I see? And the men of the city told him, It is the
sepulchre of the man of God, which came from Judah, and proclaimed these things that thou hast done against the altar of
Bethel.
Then the king asked, “What is this monument I see?” And the men of the city replied, “It is the tomb of the man of God who came from Judah and
pronounced these things that you have done to the altar of
Bethel.”
So they took the king, and brought him up to the king of Babylon to Riblah; and they gave judgment upon him.
The Chaldeans seized the king and brought him up to the king of Babylon at Riblah, where they pronounced judgment on him.
Remember his marvellous works that he hath done, his wonders, and the judgments of his mouth;
Remember the wonders He has done, His marvels, and the judgments He has pronounced,
The sons of Amram; Aaron and Moses: and Aaron was separated, that he should
sanctify the most holy things, he and his sons for ever, to burn incense before the LORD, to minister unto him, and to
bless in his name for ever.
The sons of Amram: Aaron and Moses. Aaron and his descendants were set apart
forever to
consecrate the most holy things, to burn incense before the LORD, to minister before Him, and to
pronounce blessings in His name
forever.
Now therefore, behold, the LORD hath put a lying spirit in the mouth of these thy prophets, and the LORD hath spoken evil against thee.
So you see, the LORD has put a lying spirit in the mouths of these prophets of yours, and the LORD has
pronounced disaster against you.”
Now concerning his sons, and the greatness of the burdens laid upon him, and the repairing of the house of God, behold, they are written in the story of the book of the kings. And
Amaziah his son reigned in his
stead.
The accounts of the sons of
Joash, as well as the many
pronouncements about him and about the restoration of the house of God, are indeed written in the Treatise of the Book of the Kings. And his son
Amaziah reigned in his place.
And, lo, I perceived that God had not sent him; but that he
pronounced this prophecy against me: for
Tobiah and
Sanballat had
hired him.
I realized that God had not sent him, but that he had uttered this prophecy against me because
Tobiah and
Sanballat had
hired him.
Thou
didst cause judgment to be heard from heaven; the earth feared, and was still,
From heaven You pronounced judgment, and the earth feared and was still
Remember his marvellous works that he hath done; his wonders, and the judgments of his mouth;
Remember the wonders He has done, His marvels, and the judgments He has pronounced,
And I will utter my judgments against them touching all their wickedness, who have
forsaken me, and have burned incense unto other gods, and worshipped the works of their own hands.
I will
pronounce My judgments against them for all their wickedness, because they have
forsaken Me to burn incense to other gods and to worship the works of their own hands.
Even a full wind from those places shall come unto me: now also will I give sentence against them.
a wind too strong for that comes from Me. Now I also
pronounce judgments against them.”
For the LORD of hosts, that planted thee, hath
pronounced evil against thee, for the evil of the house of Israel and of the house of Judah, which they have done against themselves to
provoke me to anger in offering incense unto
Baal.
The LORD of Hosts, who planted you, has decreed
disaster against you on account of the evil that the house of Israel and the house of Judah have brought upon themselves,
provoking Me to anger by burning incense to
Baal.”
And it shall come to pass, when thou shalt
shew this people all these words, and they shall say unto thee, Wherefore hath the LORD
pronounced all this great evil against us? or what is our iniquity? or what is our sin that we have committed against the LORD our God?
When you tell these people all these things, they will ask you, ‘Why has the LORD
pronounced all this great
disaster against us? What is our guilt? What is the sin that we have committed against the LORD our God?’
If that nation, against whom I have
pronounced, turn from their evil, I will
repent of the evil that I thought to do unto them.
But if that nation I
warned turns from its evil, then I will relent of the
disaster I had
planned to bring.
Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will bring upon this city and upon all her towns all the evil that I have
pronounced against it, because they have
hardened their necks, that they might not hear my words.
“This is what the LORD of Hosts, the God of Israel, says: ‘Behold, I am about to bring on this city and on all the villages around it every
disaster I have
pronounced against them, because they have
stiffened their necks so as not to
heed My words.’”
And I will bring upon that land all my words which I have
pronounced against it, even all that is written in this book, which Jeremiah hath
prophesied against all the nations.
I will bring upon that land all the words I have
pronounced against it, all that is written in this book, which Jeremiah has
prophesied against all the nations.
Therefore now
amend your ways and your doings, and obey the voice of the LORD your God; and the LORD will
repent him of the evil that he hath
pronounced against you.
So now, correct your ways and deeds, and obey the voice of the LORD your God, so that He might relent of the
disaster He has
pronounced against you.
Did
Hezekiah king of Judah and all Judah put him at all to death? did he not fear the LORD, and
besought the LORD, and the LORD
repented him of the evil which he had
pronounced against them? Thus might we
procure great evil against our souls.
Did
Hezekiah king of Judah or
anyone else in Judah put him to death? Did
Hezekiah not fear the LORD and seek His favor, and did not the LORD relent of the
disaster He had
pronounced against them? But we are about to bring great
harm on ourselves!”
But thou shalt die in peace: and with the burnings of thy fathers, the former kings which were before thee, so shall they burn odours for thee; and they will
lament thee, saying,
Ah lord! for I have
pronounced the word, saith the LORD.
you will die in peace. As spices were burned for your fathers, the former kings who preceded you, so people will burn spices for you and
lament, ‘
Alas, O master!’ For I Myself have spoken this word, declares the LORD.”
Therefore thus saith the LORD God of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will bring upon Judah and upon all the inhabitants of Jerusalem all the evil that I have pronounced against them: because I have spoken unto them, but they have not heard; and I have called unto them, but they have not answered.
Therefore this is what the LORD God of Hosts, the God of Israel, says: ‘Behold, I will bring to Judah and to all the residents of Jerusalem all the
disaster I have
pronounced against them, because I have spoken to them but they have not obeyed, and I have called to them but they have not answered.’”
It may be they will present their
supplication before the LORD, and will return every one from his evil way: for great is the anger and the
fury that the LORD hath
pronounced against this people.
Perhaps they will bring their petition before the LORD, and each one will turn from his wicked way; for great are the anger and
fury that the LORD has
pronounced against this people.”
Then
Baruch answered them, He
pronounced all these words unto me with his mouth, and I wrote them with ink in the book.
“It was at his
dictation,”
Baruch replied. “He recited all these words to me and I wrote them in ink on the
scroll.”
And I will
punish him and his seed and his servants for their iniquity; and I will bring upon them, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and upon the men of Judah, all the evil that I have
pronounced against them; but they
hearkened not.
I will
punish him and his descendants and servants for their iniquity. I will bring on them, on the residents of Jerusalem, and on the men of Judah, all the
calamity about which I
warned them but they did not
listen.”
But the Chaldeans’ army pursued after them, and overtook
Zedekiah in the plains of
Jericho: and when they had taken him, they brought him up to
Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon to Riblah in the land of
Hamath, where he gave judgment upon him.
But the army of the Chaldeans pursued them and overtook
Zedekiah in the plains of
Jericho. They seized him and brought him up to
Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon at Riblah in the land of
Hamath, where he
pronounced judgment on him.
And the captain of the guard took Jeremiah, and said unto him, The LORD thy God hath pronounced this evil upon this place.

disaster on this place,

Hamath; where he gave judgment upon him.
The Chaldeans seized the king and brought him up to the king of Babylon at Riblah in the land of
Hamath, where he
pronounced judgment on
Zedekiah.
And I
polluted them in their own gifts, in that they caused to pass through the fire all that openeth the
womb, that I might make them
desolate, to the end that they might know that I am the LORD.
And I
pronounced them unclean through their gifts—the sacrifice of every
firstborn in the fire—so that I might
devastate them, in order that they would know that I am the LORD.
Until the Ancient of days came, and judgment was given to the saints of the most High; and the time came that the saints possessed the kingdom.
until the Ancient of Days arrived and pronounced judgment in favor of the saints of the Most High, and the time came for them to possess the kingdom.
For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye
mete, it shall be measured to you again.
For with the same judgment you
pronounce, you will be judged; and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.
For I
verily, as absent in body, but present in spirit, have judged already, as though I were present, concerning him that hath so done this deed,
Although I am absent from you in body, I am present with you in spirit, and I have already pronounced judgment on the one who did this, just as if I were present.
But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe.
But the Scripture pronounces all things confined by sin, so that by faith in Jesus Christ the promise might be given to those who believe.
Rejoice over her, thou heaven, and ye holy apostles and prophets; for God hath
avenged you on her.
Rejoice over her, O heaven, O saints and apostles and prophets, because God has
pronounced for you His judgment against her.
And they came unto her, and she said unto them, Hear me now, O ye governors of the inhabitants of Bethulia: for your words that ye have spoken before the people this day are not right, touching this oath which ye made and pronounced between God and you, and have promised to deliver the city to our enemies, unless within these days the Lord turn to help you.
We are esteemed of him as counterfeits: he abstaineth from our ways as from
filthiness: he
pronounceth the end of the just to be blessed, and maketh his
boast that God is his father.
Therefore the Lord hath made good his word, which he pronounced against us, and against our judges that judged Israel, and against our kings, and against our princes, and against the men of Israel and Juda,
For all these plagues are come upon us, which the Lord hath pronounced against us
For thou hast
pronounced false judgment and hast condemned the innocent and hast let the guilty go free;
albeit the Lord saith, The innocent and righteous shalt thou not
slay.
