bless with the spirit, how shall he that occupieth the room of the unlearned say
Amen at thy giving of
thanks,

Amen” to your

seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which

beset us, and let us run with

encumbrance and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with
endurance the race set out for us.

godliness,
Since everything will be destroyed in this way, what kind of people ought you to be? You ought to conduct
yourselves in
holiness and
godliness Wherefore, beloved,
seeing that ye look for such things, be
diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and
blameless.
Therefore, beloved, as you
anticipate these things, make every effort to be found at peace—spotless and
blameless in His sight.
Ye therefore, beloved,
seeing ye know these things before,
beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own
stedfastness.
Therefore, beloved, since you already know these things, be on your guard so that you will not be carried away by the error of the lawless and fall from your secure standing.
O ye men, how can it be but women should be strong, seeing they do thus?
But
forasmuch as the people are many, and it is foul weather, so that we cannot stand without, and this is not a work of a day or two,
seeing our sin in these things is spread far:
Seeing ye have
forsaken me, I will
forsake you also; when ye desire me to be
gracious unto you, I shall have no mercy upon you.
And I asked, and said,

Now therefore why disquietest thou
thyself,
seeing thou art but a corruptible man? and why art thou moved, whereas thou art but
mortal?
Even so now, seeing corruption is grown up, and wickedness increased, and the righteous have prayed for the ungodly: wherefore shall it not be so now also?

Seeing then we understand that this people alone is continually in opposition unto all men, differing in the strange manner of their laws, and evil affected to our state, working all the mischief they can that our kingdom may not be firmly established:

sore afraid, and
seeing also the host of

seeing the coming of the multitude, and the
