The anger of the LORD shall not return, until he have executed, and till he have performed the thoughts of his heart: in the latter days ye shall consider it perfectly.
The anger of the LORD will not turn back until He has fully accomplished the purposes of His heart. In the days to come you will understand this clearly.
For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans to
prosper you and not to
harm you, to give you a future and a hope.
Waters flowed over mine head; then I said, I am cut off.
The waters flowed over my head, and I thought I was going to die.
And the Spirit of the LORD fell upon me, and said unto me, Speak; Thus saith the LORD; Thus have ye said, O house of Israel: for I know the things that come into your mind, every one of them.
And the Spirit of the LORD fell upon me and told me to declare that this is what the LORD says: “That is what you are thinking, O house of Israel; and I know the thoughts that arise in your minds.
Thus saith the Lord GOD; It shall also come to pass, that at the same time shall things come into thy mind, and thou shalt think an evil thought:
This is what the Lord GOD says: On that day,
thoughts will arise in your mind, and you will
devise an evil plan.
As for thee, O king, thy
thoughts came into thy mind upon thy bed, what should come to pass
hereafter: and he that revealeth secrets maketh known to thee what shall come to pass.
As you lay on your bed, O king, your
thoughts turned to the future, and the
Revealer of Mysteries made known to you what will happen.
But as for me, this secret is not revealed to me for any wisdom that I have more than any living, but for their sakes that shall make known the interpretation to the king, and that thou mightest know the thoughts of thy heart.
And to me this
mystery has been revealed, not because I have more wisdom than any man alive, but in order that the interpretation might be made known to the king, and that you may understand the
thoughts of your mind.
I
thought it good to
shew the signs and wonders that the high God hath wrought toward me.
I am pleased to declare the signs and wonders that the Most High God has performed for me.
I saw a dream which made me afraid, and the thoughts upon my bed and the visions of my head troubled me.
I had a dream, and it
frightened me; while in my bed, the images and visions in my mind
alarmed me.
Then Daniel, whose name was Belteshazzar, was
astonied for one hour, and his
thoughts troubled him. The king spake, and said, Belteshazzar, let not the dream, or the interpretation thereof, trouble thee. Belteshazzar answered and said, My lord, the dream be to them that
hate thee, and the interpretation thereof to thine enemies.
For a time, Daniel, who was also known as Belteshazzar, was
perplexed, and his
thoughts alarmed him. So the king said, “Belteshazzar, do not let the dream or its interpretation
alarm you.” “My lord,” replied Belteshazzar, “may the dream apply to those who
hate you, and its interpretation to your enemies!
Then the king’s countenance was changed, and his
thoughts troubled him, so that the joints of his loins were loosed, and his knees
smote one against another.
his face grew pale and his
thoughts so
alarmed him that his hips gave way and his knees
knocked together.
Now the queen, by reason of the words of the king and his lords, came into the
banquet house: and the queen spake and said, O king, live for ever: let not thy
thoughts trouble thee, nor let thy countenance be changed:
Hearing the outcry of the king and his nobles, the queen entered the
banquet hall. “O king, may you live
forever!” she said. “Do not let your
thoughts terrify you, or your face grow pale.
Then this Daniel was preferred above the presidents and princes, because an excellent spirit was in him; and the king thought to set him over the whole realm.
Soon, by his extraordinary spirit, Daniel distinguished himself among the administrators and satraps. So the king
planned to set him over the whole kingdom.
Hitherto is the end of the matter. As for me Daniel, my cogitations much troubled me, and my countenance changed in me: but I kept the matter in my heart.
Thus ends the matter. As for me, Daniel, my thoughts troubled me greatly, and my face turned pale. But I kept the matter to myself.”
For their mother hath played the
harlot: she that conceived them hath done
shamefully: for she said, I will go after my lovers, that give me my bread and my water, my wool and my flax, mine oil and my drink.
For their mother has played the
harlot and has conceived them in disgrace. For she
thought, ‘I will go after my lovers, who give me bread and water, wool and linen, oil and drink.’
For, lo, he that formeth the mountains, and createth the wind, and declareth unto man what is his thought, that maketh the morning darkness, and treadeth upon the high places of the earth, The LORD, The God of hosts, is his name.
For behold, He who forms the mountains, who creates the wind and reveals His
thoughts to man, who turns the
dawn to darkness and strides on the heights of the earth— the LORD, the God of Hosts, is His name.”
But they know not the
thoughts of the LORD, neither understand they his counsel: for he shall gather them as the
sheaves into the floor.
But they do not know the
thoughts of the LORD or understand His plan, for He has gathered them like
sheaves to the
threshing floor.
But my words and my statutes, which I commanded my servants the prophets, did they not take hold of your fathers? and they returned and said, Like as the LORD of hosts thought to do unto us, according to our ways, and according to our doings, so hath he dealt with us.
But did not My words and My statutes, which I commanded My servants the prophets, overtake your fathers? They
repented and said, ‘Just as the LORD of Hosts purposed to do to us according to our ways and deeds, so He has done to us.’”
For thus saith the LORD of hosts; As I
thought to
punish you, when your fathers
provoked me to wrath, saith the LORD of hosts, and I
repented not:
For this is what the LORD of Hosts says: “Just as I resolved to bring
disaster upon you when your fathers
provoked Me to anger, and I did not relent,” says the LORD of Hosts,
So again have I thought in these days to do well unto Jerusalem and to the house of Judah: fear ye not.
“so now I have resolved to do good again to Jerusalem and Judah. Do not be afraid.
Then they that feared the LORD spake often one to another: and the LORD
hearkened, and heard it, and a book of
remembrance was written before him for them that feared the LORD, and that
thought upon his name.
At that time those who feared the LORD spoke with one another, and the LORD
listened and heard them. So a
scroll of
remembrance was written before Him regarding those who feared the LORD and honored His name.
But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost.
But after he had
pondered these things, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, “Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to embrace Mary as your wife, for the One conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit.
Therefore I say unto you, Take no
thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than
raiment?
Therefore I tell you, do not
worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes?
Which of you by taking
thought can add one
cubit unto his
stature?
Who of you by
worrying can add a single hour to his life?
And why take ye
thought for
raiment? Consider the
lilies of the field, how they grow; they
toil not, neither do they
spin:
And why do you
worry about clothes? Consider how the
lilies of the field grow: They do not labor or
spin.
Therefore take no
thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or,
Wherewithal shall we be clothed?
Therefore do not
worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’
Take therefore no
thought for the
morrow: for the
morrow shall take
thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

But Jesus knew what they were thinking and said, “Why do you
harbor evil in your hearts?
But when they deliver you up, take no thought how or what ye shall speak: for it shall be given you in that same hour what ye shall speak.
But when they hand you over, do not
worry about how to
respond or what to say. In that hour you will be given what to say.
And Jesus knew their
thoughts, and said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to
desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand:
Knowing their thoughts, Jesus said to them, “Every kingdom divided against itself will be laid waste, and every city or household divided against itself will not stand.
For out of the heart proceed evil
thoughts, murders,
adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies:
For out of the heart come evil
thoughts, murder,
adultery, sexual immorality,
theft, false testimony, and
slander.
For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil
thoughts,
adulteries, fornications, murders,
For from within the hearts of men come evil
thoughts, sexual immorality,
theft, murder,
adultery,
But when they shall lead you, and deliver you up, take no
thought beforehand what ye shall speak, neither do ye
premeditate: but
whatsoever shall be given you in that hour, that speak ye: for it is not ye that speak, but the Holy Ghost.
But when they arrest you and hand you over, do not
worry beforehand what to say. Instead, speak whatever you are given at that time, for it will not be you speaking, but the Holy Spirit.
And the second time the
cock crew. And Peter called to mind the word that Jesus said unto him, Before the
cock crow twice, thou shalt deny me
thrice. And when he
thought thereon, he
wept.
And immediately the
rooster crowed a second time. Then Peter remembered the word that Jesus had spoken to him: “Before the
rooster crows twice, you will deny Me three times.” And he broke down and
wept.
He hath shewed strength with his arm; he hath scattered the proud in the imagination of their hearts.
He has performed mighty deeds with His arm; He has scattered those who are proud in the thoughts of their hearts.
(
Yea, a sword shall
pierce through thy own soul also,) that the
thoughts of many hearts may be revealed.
so that the
thoughts of many hearts will be revealed— and a sword will
pierce your soul as well.”
But when Jesus perceived their thoughts, he answering said unto them, What reason ye in your hearts?
Knowing what they were thinking, Jesus replied, “Why are you thinking these things in your hearts?
But he knew their
thoughts, and said to the man which had the
withered hand, Rise up, and stand forth in the midst. And he arose and stood forth.
But Jesus knew their
thoughts and said to the man with the
withered hand, “Get up and stand among us.” So he got up and stood there.
Wherefore neither
thought I myself worthy to come unto thee: but say in a word, and my servant shall be
healed.
That is why I did not consider myself worthy to come to You. But just say the word, and my servant will be
healed.
And Jesus, perceiving the thought of their heart, took a child, and set him by him,
But Jesus, knowing the thoughts of their hearts, had a little child stand beside Him.
But he, knowing their
thoughts, said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to
desolation; and a house divided against a house falleth.
Knowing their thoughts, Jesus said to them, “Every kingdom divided against itself will be laid waste, and a house divided against a house will fall.
And when they bring you unto the synagogues, and unto magistrates, and powers, take ye no thought how or what thing ye shall answer, or what ye shall say:
When you are brought before synagogues, rulers, and authorities, do not
worry about how to defend
yourselves or what to say.
And he
thought within himself, saying, What shall I do, because I have no room where to
bestow my fruits?
So he thought to himself, ‘What shall I do, since I have nowhere to store my crops?’

Then Jesus said to His disciples, “Therefore I tell you, do not
worry about your life, what you will eat, or about your body, what you will wear.
And which of you with taking
thought can add to his
stature one
cubit?
Who of you by
worrying can add a single hour to his life?
If ye then be not able to do that thing which is least, why take ye thought for the rest?
So if you cannot do such a small thing, why do you
worry about the rest?
And as they heard these things, he added and spake a parable, because he was
nigh to Jerusalem, and because they
thought that the kingdom of God should immediately appear.
While the people were
listening to this, Jesus proceeded to tell them a parable, because He was near Jerusalem and they
thought the kingdom of God would appear
imminently.
And he said unto them, Why are ye troubled? and why do thoughts arise in your hearts?
“Why are you troubled,” Jesus asked, “and why do doubts arise in your hearts?
Howbeit Jesus spake of his death: but they
thought that he had spoken of taking of rest in sleep.
They
thought that Jesus was talking about actual sleep, but He was speaking about the death of
Lazarus.
For some of them
thought, because
Judas had the
bag, that Jesus had said unto him,
Buy those things that we have need of against the feast; or, that he should give something to the poor.
Since
Judas kept the money
bag, some
thought that Jesus was telling him to
buy what was needed for the feast, or to give something to the poor.
But Peter said unto him, Thy money perish with thee, because thou hast thought that the gift of God may be purchased with money.
But Peter replied, “May your silver perish with you, because you
thought you could
buy the gift of God with money!

thought of thine heart may be
forgiven thee.
Repent, therefore, of your wickedness, and pray to the Lord. Perhaps He will
forgive you for the intent of your heart.
While Peter thought on the vision, the Spirit said unto him, Behold, three men seek thee.
As Peter continued to
reflect on the vision, the Spirit said to him, “Behold, three men are looking for you.
And he went out, and followed him; and
wist not that it was true which was done by the angel; but
thought he saw a vision.
So Peter followed him out, but he was unaware that what the angel was doing was real. He thought he was only seeing a vision.
But Paul
thought not good to take him with them, who departed from them from
Pamphylia, and went not with them to the work.
But Paul
thought it best not to take him, because he had deserted them in
Pamphylia and had not accompanied them in the work.
Why should it be
thought a thing
incredible with you, that God should raise the dead?
Why would any of you consider it
incredible that God raises the dead?
I
verily thought with myself, that I ought to do many things contrary to the name of Jesus of
Nazareth.
And when the south wind
blew softly, supposing that they had obtained their purpose, loosing thence, they sailed close by
Crete.
When a gentle south wind began to blow, they
thought they had their opportunity. So they
weighed anchor and sailed along,
hugging the coast of
Crete.
Which
shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their
thoughts the mean while
accusing or else
excusing one another;)
So they show that the work of the law is written on their hearts, their consciences also bearing witness, and their
thoughts either
accusing or defending them
For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.
For who among men knows the thoughts of man except his own spirit within him? So too, no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God.
And again, The Lord knoweth the thoughts of the wise, that they are vain.
And again, “The Lord knows that the
thoughts of the wise are
futile.”
When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I
thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away
childish things.
When I was a child, I talked like a child, I
thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I set aside
childish ways.
Therefore I
thought it necessary to
exhort the brethren, that they would go before unto you, and make up
beforehand your
bounty,
whereof ye had notice before, that the same might be ready, as a matter of
bounty, and not as of
covetousness.
So I
thought it necessary to
urge the brothers to visit you
beforehand and make arrangements for the
bountiful gift you had promised. This way, your gift will be prepared generously and not begrudgingly.
Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh,
fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.
All of us also lived among them at one time,
fulfilling the cravings of our flesh and
indulging its desires and
thoughts. Like the rest, we were by nature children of wrath.
Who, being in the form of God,
thought it not
robbery to be equal with God:
Who, existing in the form of God, did not consider equality with God something to be
grasped,
Yet I supposed it necessary to send to you Epaphroditus, my brother, and companion in labour, and fellow soldier, but your
messenger, and he that ministered to my wants.
But I
thought it necessary to send back to you Epaphroditus, my brother, fellow worker, and fellow soldier, who is also your
messenger and minister to my needs.
Wherefore when we could no longer
forbear, we
thought it good to be left at Athens alone;
So when we could bear it no longer, we were willing to be left on our own in Athens.
For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any
twoedged sword,
piercing even to the dividing
asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and
marrow, and is a
discerner of the
thoughts and intents of the heart.
For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it pierces even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and
marrow. It judges the
thoughts and intentions of the heart.
Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be
thought worthy, who hath
trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant,
wherewith he was
sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done
despite unto the Spirit of grace?
How much more severely do you think one deserves to be punished who has
trampled on the Son of God,
profaned the blood of the covenant that
sanctified him, and
insulted the Spirit of grace?
For they
verily for a few days
chastened us after their own pleasure; but he for our profit, that we might be partakers of his
holiness.
Our fathers disciplined us for a short time as they
thought best, but God disciplines us for our good, so that we may share in His
holiness.
Are ye not then partial in
yourselves, and are become judges of evil
thoughts?
It turneth also every
thought into
jollity and
mirth, so that a man remembereth neither sorrow nor debt:
In the
thirtieth year after the ruin of the city I was in Babylon, and lay troubled upon my bed, and my
thoughts came up over my heart:
The thought of the wood was in vain, for the fire came and consumed it.
The
thought of the floods of the sea came likewise to
nought, for the sand stood up and stopped them.
I answered and said,
Verily it is a
foolish thought that they both have devised, for the ground is given unto the wood, and the sea also hath his place to bear his floods.
And after seven days so it was, that the
thoughts of my heart were very
grievous unto me again,
For when they had taken liberty, they
despised the most High,
thought scorn of his law, and
forsook his ways.
Then let I my thoughts go that I was in, and turned me unto her,
What aileth thee? and why art thou so disquieted? and why is thine understanding troubled, and the thoughts of thine heart?
And I
beheld, and, lo, the feathers that were under the wing
thought to set up themselves and to have the rule.
And I
beheld, and, lo, the two that remained
thought also in themselves to reign:
And when they so
thought, behold, there
awaked one of the heads that were at rest, namely, it that was in the midst; for that was greater than the two other heads.
And shall lay before them their evil
thoughts, and the torments
wherewith they shall begin to be
tormented, which are like unto a flame: and he shall destroy them without labour by the law which is like unto me.
Let go from thee
mortal thoughts, cast away the burdens of man, put off now the weak nature,
And set aside the
thoughts that are most heavy unto thee, and
haste thee to
flee from these times.
Behold, the Lord knoweth all the works of men, their imaginations, their thoughts, and their hearts:
Whe she heard these things, she was very sorrowful, so that she
thought to have
strangled herself; and she said, I am the only daughter of my father, and if I do this, it shall be a reproach unto him, and I shall bring his old age with sorrow unto the grave.
For thou hast wrought not only those things, but also the things which fell out before, and which
ensued after; thou hast
thought upon the things which are now, and which are to come.
Then went in Bagoas, and
knocked at the door of the tent; for he
thought that he had
slept with
Judith.
Then Mardocheus thought upon all the works of the Lord, and made his prayer unto him,
For by these means he thought, finding us destitute of friends to have translated the kingdom of the Persians to the Macedonians.
For
froward thoughts separate from God: and his power, when it is tried, reproveth the unwise.
For the holy spirit of discipline will
flee deceit, and remove from
thoughts that are without understanding, and will not
abide when unrighteousness cometh in.
But ungodly men with their works and words called it to them: for when they
thought to have it their friend, they consumed to
nought, and made a covenant with it, because they are worthy to take part with it.
He was made to reprove our thoughts.
For she goeth about seeking such as are worthy of her, sheweth herself favourably unto them in the ways, and meeteth them in every thought.
For the
thoughts of
mortal men are
miserable, and our devices are but uncertain.
For, look, for what things they grudged, when they were punished, that is, for them whom they
thought to be gods; now being punished in them, when they saw it, they acknowledged him to be the true God, whom before they denied to know: and therefore came extreme
damnation upon them.
