gazingstock both by reproaches and afflictions; and partly, whilst ye became companions of them that were so used.

And what shall I more say? for the
time would fail me to tell of Gedeon, and of
Barak, and of
Samson, and of Jephthae; of David also, and Samuel, and of the prophets:
And what more shall I say?
Time will not allow me to tell of
Gideon,
Barak,
Samson,
Jephthah, David, Samuel, and the prophets,
For they
verily for a few days
chastened us after their own pleasure; but he for our profit, that we might be partakers of his
holiness.
Our fathers disciplined us for a short
time as they thought best, but God disciplines us for our good, so that we may share in His
holiness.
Now no
chastening for the present seemeth to be
joyous, but
grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby.
No discipline seems enjoyable at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it yields a harvest of righteousness and peace to those who have been trained by it.
Whose voice then
shook the earth: but now he hath promised, saying, Yet once more I
shake not the earth only, but also heaven.

time His voice

shake not only the earth, but heaven as well.”
Whereas ye know not what shall be on the
morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little
time, and then vanisheth away.
You do not even know what will happen
tomorrow! What is your life? You are a
mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes.

And if ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons judgeth according to every man’s work, pass the
time of your
sojourning here in fear:
Since you call on a Father who judges each one’s work impartially, conduct
yourselves in
reverent fear during your stay as foreigners.
Who
verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last
times for you,

That he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God.
Consequently, he does not live out his remaining time on earth for human passions, but for the will of God.
For the
time past of our life may suffice us to have wrought the will of the Gentiles, when we walked in
lasciviousness, lusts, excess of wine, revellings, banquetings, and
abominable idolatries:
For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?

yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may
exalt you in due
time:
Humble
yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, so that in due
time He may
exalt you.

decease to have these things always in
remembrance.
And I will make every effort to
ensure that after my departure, you will be able to recall these things at all
times.
For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.

deceptive words. The longstanding

Little children, it is the last
time: and as ye have heard that
antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last
time.

antichrist is coming, so now many antichrists have appeared. This is how we know it is the last hour.

antichrist,
whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.
and every spirit that does not
confess Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the
antichrist, which you have heard is coming and which is already in the world at this
time.

encircling the throne, and their number was myriads of myriads and thousands of thousands.
And
sware by him that liveth for ever and ever, who created heaven, and the things that therein are, and the earth, and the things that therein are, and the sea, and the things which are therein, that there should be
time no longer:
And he
swore by Him who lives
forever and ever, who created heaven and everything in it, the earth and everything in it, and the sea and everything in it: “There will be no more delay!
And the nations were
angry, and thy wrath is come, and the
time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth.
The nations were
enraged, and Your wrath has come. The
time has come to judge the dead and to reward Your servants the prophets, as well as the saints and those who fear Your name, both small and great— and to destroy those who destroy the earth.”
Therefore
rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them.
Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short
time.
Therefore
rejoice, O heavens, and you who dwell in them! But
woe to the earth and the sea; with great
fury the devil has come down to you, knowing he has only a short
time.”

nourished for a
time, and
times, and half a

nourished for a
time, and
times, and half a
time.
And another angel came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to him that sat on the cloud, Thrust in thy
sickle, and
reap: for the
time is come for thee to
reap; for the harvest of the earth is ripe.

sinned, and did wickedly against the Lord above all people and kingdoms, and how they
grieved him exceedingly, so that the words of the Lord rose up against Israel.

time that it were built;
And there were gathered unto them out of the other nations of the land, and they erected the altar upon his own place, because all the nations of the land were at
enmity with them, and
oppressed them; and they offered sacrifices according to the
time, and burnt offerings to the Lord both morning and evening.
And by their secret plots, and popular persuasions and commotions, they hindered the finishing of the building all the
time that king Cyrus lived: so they were hindered from building for the space of two years, until the reign of
Darius.
At the same time came unto them Sisinnes the governor of Syria and Phenice, with Sathrabuzanes and his companions, and said unto them,
And they were not hindered from building, until such
time as signification was given unto
Darius concerning them, and an answer received.

time cometh, the
womb preserved delivereth up the things that grew in it.

nourished for a
time, till thou disposest it to thy mercy.

wilt begin to do in the last
times: but at what

time diligently in itself: and when thou seest part of the signs past, which I have told thee before,
Then shalt thou understand, that it is the very same time, wherein the Highest will begin to visit the world which he made.
Even so the times also of the Highest have plain beginnings in wonder and powerful works, and endings in effects and signs.
And he answered me, saying, Like as the field is, so is also the seed; as the flowers be, such are the colours also; such as the

fearfulness, and over the whole compass of the earth with much wicked oppression; and so long
time dwelt he upon the earth with
deceit.

shew me the last
times.

time than any of the twelve.

time of that kingdom there shall arise great strivings, and it shall stand in
peril of failing: nevertheless it shall not then fall, but shall be restored again to his beginning.

endure the
peril in that
time hath kept himself: they that be fallen into danger are such as have works, and faith toward the
