together against Moses and Aaron and told them, “You have taken too much upon
yourselves! For
everyone in the entire congregation is holy, and the LORD is in their midst. Why then do you
exalt yourselves above the assembly of the LORD?”
For which cause both thou and all thy company are gathered
together against the LORD: and what is Aaron, that ye
murmur against him?

conspired against the LORD! As for Aaron, who is he that you should
grumble against him?”

assemble the congregation. You and your brother Aaron are to speak to the rock while they watch, and it will pour out its water. You will bring out water from the rock and provide drink for the congregation and their
livestock.”
And Moses and Aaron gathered the congregation
together before the rock, and he said unto them, Hear now, ye rebels; must we

Balaam, and he struck his hands
together and said to
Balaam, “I summoned you to
curse my enemies, but behold, you have
persisted in blessing them these three times.
And the earth opened her mouth, and
swallowed them up
together with
Korah, when that company died, what time the fire
devoured two hundred and fifty men: and they became a sign.
And the earth opened its mouth and
swallowed them along with
Korah, whose followers died when the fire consumed 250 men. They serve as a
warning sign.
Our father died in the wilderness, and he was not in the company of them that gathered themselves
together against the LORD in the company of
Korah; but died in his own sin, and had no sons.
“Our father died in the wilderness, but he was not among the followers of
Korah who gathered

And their meat offering shall be of flour mingled with oil, three tenth deals for a

ephah with the ram,
Specially the day that thou stoodest before the LORD thy God in
Horeb, when the LORD said unto me, Gather me the people
together, and I will make them hear my words, that they may learn to fear me all the days that they shall live upon the earth, and that they may teach their children.

Horeb, the LORD said to me, “Gather the people before Me to hear My words, so that they may learn to fear Me all the days they live on the earth, and that they may teach them to their children.”
Thou shalt not
plow with an ox and an
ass together.
Do not
plow with an ox and a
donkey yoked
together.
Thou shalt not wear a garment of
divers sorts, as of woollen and linen
together.
Do not wear clothes of wool and linen
woven together.
If brethren dwell together, and one of them die, and have no child, the wife of the dead shall not marry without unto a stranger: her husband’s brother shall go in unto her, and take her to him to wife, and perform the duty of an husband’s brother unto her.
When brothers dwell
together and one of them dies without a son, the widow must not marry outside the family. Her husband’s brother is to take her as his wife and
fulfill the duty of a brother-in-law for her.
When men
strive together one with another, and the wife of the one draweth near for to deliver her husband out of the hand of him that smiteth him, and putteth forth her hand, and taketh him by the secrets:
If two men are fighting, and the wife of one steps in to
rescue her husband from the one striking him, and she reaches out her hand and grabs his
genitals,
Gather the people together, men, and women, and children, and thy stranger that is within thy gates, that they may hear, and that they may learn, and fear the LORD your God, and observe to do all the words of this law:
Assemble the people—men, women, children, and the foreigners within your gates—so that they may
listen and learn to fear the LORD your God and to follow carefully all the words of this law.
And he was king in
Jeshurun, when the heads of the people and the tribes of Israel were gathered
together.

Jeshurun when the leaders of the people gathered, when the tribes of Israel came
together.
His glory is like the
firstling of his
bullock, and his horns are like the horns of unicorns: with them he shall
push the people
together to the ends of the earth: and they are the ten thousands of Ephraim, and they are the thousands of
Manasseh.
His majesty is like a
firstborn bull, and his horns are like those of a wild ox. With them he will
gore the nations, even to the ends of the earth. Such are the myriads of Ephraim, and such are the thousands of
Manasseh.”
And Joshua, and all Israel with him, took
Achan the son of Zerah, and the silver, and the garment, and the
wedge of gold, and his sons, and his daughters, and his oxen, and his
asses, and his sheep, and his tent, and all that he had: and they brought them unto the valley of
Achor.
Then Joshua,
together with all Israel, took
Achan son of Zerah, the silver, the
cloak, the bar of gold, his sons and daughters, his oxen and
donkeys and sheep, his tent, and everything else he owned, and brought them to the Valley of
Achor.
And all the people that were in
Ai were called
together to pursue after them: and they pursued after Joshua, and were drawn away from the city.

That they gathered themselves
together, to fight with Joshua and with Israel, with one
accord.
they came
together to
wage war against Joshua and Israel.
Therefore the five kings of the
Amorites, the king of Jerusalem, the king of
Hebron, the king of Jarmuth, the king of
Lachish, the king of
Eglon, gathered themselves
together, and went up, they and all their hosts, and
encamped before
Gibeon, and made war against it.
So the five kings of the
Amorites—the kings of Jerusalem,
Hebron, Jarmuth,
Lachish, and
Eglon—joined forces and advanced with all their armies. They camped before
Gibeon and made war against it.
And the men of
Gibeon sent unto Joshua to the camp to
Gilgal, saying,
Slack not thy hand from thy servants; come up to us quickly, and save us, and help us: for all the kings of the
Amorites that dwell in the mountains are gathered
together against us.
Then the men of
Gibeon sent word to Joshua in the camp at
Gilgal: “Do not
abandon your servants. Come quickly and save us! Help us, because all the kings of the
Amorites from the hill country have joined forces against us.”
So Joshua
smote all the country of the hills, and of the south, and of the
vale, and of the springs, and all their kings: he left none remaining, but utterly destroyed all that breathed, as the LORD God of Israel commanded.
So Joshua conquered the whole region—the hill country, the Negev, the foothills, and the slopes, together with all their kings—leaving no survivors. He devoted to destruction everything that breathed, just as the LORD, the God of Israel, had commanded.
And when all these kings were met
together, they came and pitched

Manasseh’s was to the north, having the Sea as its border and adjoining Asher on the north and
Issachar on the east.
And the whole congregation of the children of Israel assembled
together at
Shiloh, and set up the tabernacle of the congregation there. And the land was subdued before them.
Then the whole congregation of Israel assembled at

And they spake unto them at
Shiloh in the land of
Canaan, saying, The LORD commanded by the hand of Moses to give us cities to dwell in, with the suburbs thereof for our cattle.
at
Shiloh in the land of
Canaan and said to them, “The LORD commanded through Moses that we be given cities in which to live,
together with pasturelands for our
livestock.”
And the children of Israel gave by lot unto the Levites these cities with their suburbs, as the LORD commanded by the hand of Moses.
So the Israelites
allotted to the Levites these cities,
together with their pasturelands, as the LORD had commanded through Moses.
Thus they gave to the children of Aaron the priest
Hebron with her suburbs, to be a city of refuge for the
slayer; and
Libnah with her suburbs,
So to the descendants of Aaron the priest they gave these cities,
together with their pasturelands:
Hebron, a city of refuge for the
manslayer,
Libnah,
And
Ain with her suburbs, and Juttah with her suburbs, and Beth-shemesh with her suburbs; nine cities out of those two tribes.
Ain, Juttah, and Beth-shemesh—nine cities from these two tribes,
together with their pasturelands.
Anathoth with her suburbs, and
Almon with her suburbs; four cities.
Anathoth, and
Almon—four cities,
together with their pasturelands.
All the cities of the children of Aaron, the priests, were thirteen cities with their suburbs.
In all, thirteen cities, together with their pasturelands, were given to the priests, the descendants of Aaron.
And Kibzaim with her suburbs, and Beth-horon with her suburbs; four cities.
Kibzaim, and Beth-horon—four cities, together with their pasturelands.
