For thy servant became
surety for the
lad unto my father, saying, If I bring him not unto thee, then I shall bear the
blame to my father for
ever.
Indeed, your servant
guaranteed the boy’s safety to my father, saying, ‘If I do not return him to you, I will bear the guilt before you, my father, all my life.’
Then Joseph could not
refrain himself before all them that stood by him; and he
cried, Cause
every man to go out from me. And there stood no man with him, while Joseph made himself known unto his brethren.
Then Joseph could no longer control himself before all his attendants, and he
cried out, “Send
everyone away from me!” So none of them were with Joseph when he made himself known to his brothers.
And thou shalt dwell in the land of
Goshen, and thou shalt be near unto me, thou, and thy children, and thy children’s children, and thy flocks, and thy herds, and all that thou hast:
You shall settle in the land of
Goshen and be near me—you and your children and grandchildren, your flocks and herds, and
everything you own.
And there will I
nourish thee; for yet there are five years of famine; lest thou, and thy household, and all that thou hast, come to poverty.
And there I will provide for you, because there will be five more years of famine. Otherwise, you and your household and
everything you own will come to
destitution.’
And ye shall tell my father of all my glory in Egypt, and of all that ye have seen; and ye shall
haste and bring down my father
hither.
Tell my father about all my
splendor in Egypt and
everything you have seen. And bring my father down here quickly.”
That ye shall say, Thy servants’ trade hath been about cattle from our youth even until now, both we, and also our fathers: that ye may dwell in the land of
Goshen; for
every shepherd is an
abomination unto the Egyptians.
you are to say, ‘Your servants have raised
livestock ever since our youth—both we and our fathers.’ Then you will be allowed to settle in the land of
Goshen, since all
shepherds are
detestable to the Egyptians.”
And Joseph bought all the land of Egypt for Pharaoh; for the Egyptians sold every man his field, because the famine prevailed over them: so the land became Pharaoh’s.
So Joseph acquired for Pharaoh all the land in Egypt; the Egyptians, one and all, sold their fields because the famine was so severe upon them. The land became Pharaoh’s,
And said unto me, Behold, I will make thee fruitful, and multiply thee, and I will make of thee a multitude of people; and will give this land to thy seed after thee for an
everlasting possession.
and told me, ‘Behold, I will make you fruitful and multiply you; I will make you a multitude of peoples, and will give this land to your descendants after you as an
everlasting possession.’
The blessings of thy father have prevailed above the blessings of my progenitors unto the utmost bound of the
everlasting hills: they shall be on the head of Joseph, and on the crown of the head of him that was separate from his brethren.
The blessings of your father have surpassed the blessings of the ancient mountains and the
bounty of the
everlasting hills. May they rest on the head of Joseph, on the
brow of the prince of his brothers.
All these are the twelve tribes of Israel: and this is it that their father spake unto them, and blessed them; every one according to his blessing he blessed them.
These are the tribes of Israel, twelve in all, and this was what their father said to them. He blessed them, and he blessed each one with a suitable blessing.
Now these are the names of the children of Israel, which came into Egypt; every man and his household came with Jacob.
These are the names of the sons of Israel who went to Egypt with Jacob, each with his family:
And they made their lives bitter with hard
bondage, in
morter, and in brick, and in all manner of service in the field: all their service, wherein they made them serve, was with rigour.
and made their lives bitter with hard labor in brick and mortar, and with all kinds of work in the fields. Every service they imposed was harsh.
And Pharaoh charged all his people, saying, Every son that is born ye shall cast into the river, and every daughter ye shall save alive.
Then Pharaoh commanded all his people: “Every son born to the Hebrews you must throw into the Nile, but every daughter you may allow to live.”
And God said moreover unto Moses, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, The LORD God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, hath sent me unto you: this is my name for
ever, and this is my
memorial unto all generations.
God also told Moses, “Say to the Israelites, ‘The LORD, the God of your fathers—the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob—has sent me to you.’ This is My name
forever, and this is how I am to be remembered in
every generation.
But
every woman shall
borrow of her neighbour, and of her that sojourneth in her house, jewels of silver, and jewels of gold, and
raiment: and ye shall put them upon your sons, and upon your daughters; and ye shall
spoil the Egyptians.
Every woman shall ask her
neighbor and any woman staying in her house for silver and gold
jewelry and clothing, and you will put them on your sons and daughters. So you will
plunder the Egyptians.”
And Moses told Aaron all the words of the LORD who had sent him, and all the signs which he had commanded him.
And Moses told Aaron everything the LORD had sent him to say, and all the signs He had commanded him to perform.
And Aaron spake all the words which the LORD had spoken unto Moses, and did the signs in the sight of the people.
and Aaron relayed everything the LORD had said to Moses. And Moses performed the signs before the people,
For since I came to Pharaoh to speak in thy name, he hath done evil to this people; neither hast thou delivered thy people at all.
Ever since I went to Pharaoh to speak in Your name, he has brought trouble on this people, and You have not delivered Your people in any way.”
That the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, I am the LORD: speak thou unto Pharaoh king of Egypt all that I say unto thee.
He said to him, “I am the LORD; tell Pharaoh king of Egypt everything I say to you.”
For they cast down
every man his rod, and they became serpents: but Aaron’s rod
swallowed up their rods.
Each one threw down his staff, and it became a serpent. But Aaron’s staff
swallowed up the other staffs.
Behold, to
morrow about this time I will cause it to rain a very
grievous hail, such as hath not been in Egypt since the foundation thereof even until now.
Behold, at this time
tomorrow I will rain down the worst
hail that has
ever fallen on Egypt, from the day it was founded until now.
Send therefore now, and gather thy cattle, and all that thou hast in the field; for upon
every man and beast which shall be found in the field, and shall not be brought home, the
hail shall come down upon them, and they shall die.
So give orders now to shelter your
livestock and
everything you have in the field.
Every man or beast that remains in the field and is not brought inside will die when the
hail comes down upon them.’”
And the LORD said unto Moses, Stretch forth thine hand toward heaven, that there may be
hail in all the land of Egypt, upon man, and upon beast, and upon
every herb of the field, throughout the land of Egypt.
Then the LORD said to Moses, “Stretch out your hand toward heaven, so that
hail may fall on all the land of Egypt—on man and beast and
every plant of the field throughout the land of Egypt.”
So there was
hail, and fire mingled with the
hail, very
grievous, such as there was none like it in all the land of Egypt since it became a nation.
The
hail fell and the
lightning continued
flashing through it. The
hail was so severe that nothing like it had
ever been seen in all the land of Egypt from the time it became a nation.
And the
hail smote throughout all the land of Egypt all that was in the field, both man and beast; and the
hail smote every herb of the field, and
brake every tree of the field.
Throughout the land of Egypt, the
hail struck down
everything in the field, both man and beast; it beat down
every plant of the field and
stripped every tree.
And they shall cover the face of the earth, that one cannot be able to see the earth: and they shall eat the residue of that which is escaped, which remaineth unto you from the
hail, and shall eat
every tree which groweth for you out of the field:
They will cover the face of the land so that no one can see it. They will
devour whatever is left after the
hail and eat
every tree that grows in your fields.
And they shall fill thy houses, and the houses of all thy servants, and the houses of all the Egyptians; which neither thy fathers, nor thy fathers’ fathers have seen, since the day that they were upon the earth unto this day. And he turned himself, and went out from Pharaoh.
They will fill your houses and the houses of all your officials and every Egyptian—something neither your fathers nor your grandfathers have seen since the day they came into this land.’” Then Moses turned and left Pharaoh’s presence.
And he said unto them, Let the LORD be so with you, as I will let you go, and your little ones: look to it; for evil is before you.
Then Pharaoh told them, “May the LORD be with you if I ever let you go with your little ones. Clearly you are bent on evil.
And the LORD said unto Moses, Stretch out thine hand over the land of Egypt for the locusts, that they may come up upon the land of Egypt, and eat
every herb of the land, even all that the
hail hath left.
Then the LORD said to Moses, “Stretch out your hand over the land of Egypt, so that the locusts may
swarm over it and
devour every plant in the land—
everything that the
hail has left behind.”
For they covered the face of the whole earth, so that the land was
darkened; and they did eat
every herb of the land, and all the fruit of the trees which the
hail had left: and there remained not any green thing in the trees, or in the herbs of the field, through all the land of Egypt.
They covered the face of all the land until it was black, and they consumed all the plants on the ground and all the fruit on the trees that the
hail had left behind. Nothing green was left on any tree or plant in all the land of Egypt.
Speak now in the ears of the people, and let
every man
borrow of his neighbour, and
every woman of her neighbour, jewels of silver, and jewels of gold.
Now
announce to the people that men and women alike should ask their neighbors for articles of silver and gold.”
and
every firstborn son in the land of Egypt will die, from the
firstborn of Pharaoh who sits on his throne, to the
firstborn of the servant
girl behind the hand mill, as well as the
firstborn of all the cattle.
Speak ye unto all the congregation of Israel, saying, In the tenth day of this month they shall take to them every man a lamb, according to the house of their fathers, a lamb for an house:
Tell the whole congregation of Israel that on the tenth day of this month each man must select a lamb for his family, one per household.
And if the household be too little for the lamb, let him and his neighbour next unto his house take it according to the number of the souls; every man according to his eating shall make your count for the lamb.
If the household is too small for a whole lamb, they are to share with the nearest
neighbor based on the number of people, and
apportion the lamb accordingly.
For I will pass through the land of Egypt this night, and will
smite all the
firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and against all the gods of Egypt I will
execute judgment: I am the LORD.
On that night I will pass through the land of Egypt and strike down
every firstborn male, both man and beast, and I will
execute judgment against all the gods of Egypt. I am the LORD.
And this day shall be unto you for a
memorial; and ye shall keep it a feast to the LORD throughout your generations; ye shall keep it a feast by an
ordinance for
ever.
And this day will be a
memorial for you, and you are to
celebrate it as a feast to the LORD, as a permanent statute for the generations to come.
And in the first day there shall be an holy
convocation, and in the seventh day there shall be an holy
convocation to you; no manner of work shall be done in them, save that which
every man must eat, that only may be done of you.
On the first day you are to hold a sacred assembly, and another on the seventh day. You must not do any work on those days, except to prepare the meals—that is all you may do.
And ye shall observe the feast of
unleavened bread; for in this
selfsame day have I brought your armies out of the land of Egypt: therefore shall ye observe this day in your generations by an
ordinance for
ever.
So you are to keep the Feast of
Unleavened Bread, for on this very day I brought your divisions out of the land of Egypt. You must keep this day as a permanent statute for the generations to come.
And ye shall observe this thing for an
ordinance to thee and to thy sons for
ever.
And you are to keep this command as a permanent statute for you and your descendants.
But
every man’s servant that is bought for money, when thou hast
circumcised him, then shall he eat thereof.
But any slave who has been purchased may eat of it, after you have
circumcised him.
That thou shalt set apart unto the LORD all that openeth the
matrix, and
every firstling that cometh of a beast which thou hast; the males shall be the LORD’S.
And it came to pass, when Pharaoh would hardly let us go, that the LORD
slew all the
firstborn in the land of Egypt, both the
firstborn of man, and the
firstborn of beast: therefore I sacrifice to the LORD all that openeth the
matrix, being males; but all the
firstborn of my children I
redeem.
And when Pharaoh
stubbornly refused to let us go, the LORD killed
every firstborn in the land of Egypt, both of man and beast. This is why I sacrifice to the LORD the
firstborn male of
every womb, but I
redeem all the
firstborn of my sons.’
And he took six hundred chosen
chariots, and all the
chariots of Egypt, and captains over
every one of them.
He took 600 of the best
chariots, and all the other
chariots of Egypt, with officers over all of them.
And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which he will
shew to you to day: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen to day, ye shall see them again no more for
ever.
But Moses told the people, “Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the LORD’s salvation, which He will
accomplish for you
today; for the Egyptians you see
today, you will never see again.
The LORD shall reign for ever and ever.
The LORD will reign
forever and
ever!”
Then said the LORD unto Moses, Behold, I will rain bread from heaven for you; and the people shall go out and gather a certain rate every day, that I may prove them, whether they will walk in my law, or no.
Then the LORD said to Moses, “Behold, I will rain down bread from heaven for you. Each day the people are to go out and gather enough for that day. In this way I will test whether or not they will follow My instructions.
This is the thing which the LORD hath commanded, Gather of it
every man according to his eating, an
omer for
every man, according to the number of your persons; take ye
every man for them which are in his tents.
This is what the LORD has commanded: ‘Each one is to gather as much as he needs. You may take an
omer for each person in your tent.’”
And when they did
mete it with an
omer, he that gathered much had nothing over, and he that gathered little had no lack; they gathered
every man according to his eating.
When they measured it by the
omer, he who gathered much had no excess, and he who gathered little had no shortfall. Each one gathered as much as he needed to eat.
And they gathered it every morning, every man according to his eating: and when the sun waxed hot, it melted.
Every morning each one gathered as much as was needed, and when the sun grew hot, it melted away.
See, for that the LORD hath given you the sabbath, therefore he giveth you on the sixth day the bread of two days;
abide ye
every man in his place, let no man go out of his place on the seventh day.
Understand that the LORD has given you the Sabbath; that is why on the sixth day He will give you bread for two days. On the seventh day,
everyone must stay where he is; no one may leave his place.”
And let them judge the people at all seasons: and it shall be, that
every great matter they shall bring unto thee, but
every small matter they shall judge: so shall it be easier for
thyself, and they shall bear the burden with thee.
Have these men judge the people at all times. Then they can bring you any major issue, but all minor cases they can judge on their own, so that your load may be
lightened as they share it with you.
So Moses
hearkened to the voice of his father in law, and did all that he had said.
Moses
listened to his father-in-law and did
everything he said.
And they judged the people at all seasons: the hard causes they brought unto Moses, but every small matter they judged themselves.
And they judged the people at all times; they would bring the difficult cases to Moses, but any minor issue they would judge themselves.
And all the people answered together, and said, All that the LORD hath spoken we will do. And Moses returned the words of the people unto the LORD.
And all the people answered together, “We will do everything that the LORD has spoken.” So Moses brought their words back to the LORD.
And the LORD said unto Moses, Lo, I come unto thee in a thick cloud, that the people may hear when I speak with thee, and believe thee for ever. And Moses told the words of the people unto the LORD.
The LORD said to Moses, “Behold, I will come to you in a dense cloud, so that the people will hear when I speak with you, and they will always put their trust in you.” And Moses relayed to the LORD what the people had said.
An altar of earth thou shalt make unto me, and shalt sacrifice
thereon thy burnt offerings, and thy peace offerings, thy sheep, and thine oxen: in all places where I record my name I will come unto thee, and I will
bless thee.
You are to make for Me an altar of earth, and sacrifice on it your burnt offerings and peace offerings, your sheep and goats and cattle. In
every place where I cause My name to be remembered, I will come to you and
bless you.
Then his master shall bring him unto the judges; he shall also bring him to the door, or unto the door post; and his master shall bore his ear through with an aul; and he shall serve him for ever.
then his master is to bring him before the judges. And he shall take him to the door or
doorpost and
pierce his ear with an
awl. Then he shall serve his master for life.
And in all things that I have said unto you be
circumspect: and make no mention of the name of other gods, neither let it be heard out of thy mouth.
Pay close attention to
everything I have said to you. You must not
invoke the names of other gods; they must not be heard on your lips.
But if thou shalt indeed obey his voice, and do all that I speak; then I will be an enemy unto thine enemies, and an
adversary unto thine
adversaries.
But if you will
listen carefully to his voice and do
everything I say, I will be an enemy to your enemies and a
foe to your foes.
I will send my fear before thee, and will destroy all the people to whom thou shalt come, and I will make all thine enemies turn their backs unto thee.
I will send My terror
ahead of you and throw into confusion
every nation you
encounter. I will make all your enemies turn and run.
Speak unto the children of Israel, that they bring me an offering: of every man that giveth it willingly with his heart ye shall take my offering.
“Tell the Israelites to bring Me an offering. You are to receive My offering from every man whose heart compels him.
And look that thou make them after their pattern, which was shewed thee in the mount.
See to it that you make everything according to the pattern shown you on the mountain.
The length of one
curtain shall be eight and twenty cubits, and the breadth of one
curtain four cubits: and
every one of the curtains shall have one measure.
Each
curtain shall be twenty-eight cubits long and four cubits wide—all curtains the same size.
The length of the court shall be an hundred cubits, and the breadth fifty
every where, and the height five cubits of fine
twined linen, and their sockets of brass.
The entire
courtyard shall be a hundred cubits long and fifty cubits wide, with curtains of finely
spun linen five cubits high, and with bronze bases.
All the vessels of the tabernacle in all the service thereof, and all the pins thereof, and all the pins of the court, shall be of brass.
All the utensils of the tabernacle for
every use, including all its tent pegs and the tent pegs of the
courtyard, shall be made of bronze.
In the tabernacle of the congregation without the
vail, which is before the testimony, Aaron and his sons shall order it from evening to morning before the LORD: it shall be a statute for
ever unto their generations on the behalf of the children of Israel.
In the Tent of Meeting, outside the
veil that is in front of the Testimony, Aaron and his sons are to tend the lamps before the LORD from evening until morning. This is to be a permanent statute for the Israelites for the generations to come.
And the stones shall be with the names of the children of Israel, twelve, according to their names, like the engravings of a
signet;
every one with his name shall they be according to the twelve tribes.
The twelve stones are to correspond to the names of the sons of Israel, each engraved like a seal with the name of one of the twelve tribes.
And they shall be upon Aaron, and upon his sons, when they come in unto the tabernacle of the congregation, or when they come near unto the altar to minister in the holy place; that they bear not iniquity, and die: it shall be a statute for ever unto him and his seed after him.
Aaron and his sons must wear them whenever they enter the Tent of Meeting or approach the altar to minister in the Holy Place, so that they will not
incur guilt and die. This is to be a permanent statute for Aaron and his descendants.
And it shall be Aaron’s and his sons’ by a statute for
ever from the children of Israel: for it is an
heave offering: and it shall be an
heave offering from the children of Israel of the sacrifice of their peace offerings, even their
heave offering unto the LORD.
This will belong to Aaron and his sons as a regular portion from the Israelites, for it is the
heave offering the Israelites will make to the LORD from their peace offerings.
And Aaron shall burn
thereon sweet incense
every morning: when he dresseth the lamps, he shall burn incense upon it.
And Aaron is to burn
fragrant incense on it
every morning when he tends the lamps.
When thou takest the sum of the children of Israel after their number, then shall they give
every man a
ransom for his soul unto the LORD, when thou numberest them; that there be no plague among them, when thou numberest them.
“When you take a census of the Israelites to number them, each man must pay the LORD a
ransom for his life when he is counted. Then no plague will come upon them when they are numbered.
This they shall give,
every one that passeth among them that are numbered, half a
shekel after the
shekel of the sanctuary: (a
shekel is twenty gerahs:) an half
shekel shall be the offering of the LORD.
Everyone who crosses over to those counted must pay a half
shekel, according to the sanctuary
shekel, which weighs twenty gerahs. This half
shekel is an offering to the LORD.
Every one that passeth among them that are numbered, from twenty years old and above, shall give an offering unto the LORD.
Everyone twenty years of age or older who crosses over must give this offering to the LORD.
So they shall wash their hands and their feet, that they die not: and it shall be a statute for ever to them, even to him and to his seed throughout their generations.
Thus they are to wash their hands and feet so that they will not die; this shall be a permanent statute for Aaron and his descendants for the generations to come.”
And in cutting of stones, to set them, and in
carving of timber, to work in all manner of
workmanship.
to cut gemstones for settings, and to
carve wood, so that he may be a master of
every craft.
Ye shall keep the sabbath therefore; for it is holy unto you:
every one that defileth it shall surely be put to death: for
whosoever doeth any work therein, that soul shall be cut off from among his people.
Keep the Sabbath, for it is holy to you.
Anyone who profanes it must surely be put to death.
Whoever does any work on that day must be cut off from among his people.
It is a sign between me and the children of Israel for ever: for in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he rested, and was refreshed.
It is a sign between Me and the Israelites
forever; for in six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth, but on the seventh day He rested and was refreshed.’”
Remember Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, thy servants, to whom thou swarest by thine own self, and saidst unto them, I will multiply your seed as the stars of heaven, and all this land that I have spoken of will I give unto your seed, and they shall
inherit it for
ever.
Remember Your servants Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, to whom You
swore by Your very self when You declared, ‘I will make your descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky, and I will give your descendants all this land that I have promised, and it shall be their inheritance
forever.’”
And he said unto them, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, Put
every man his sword by his side, and go in and out from gate to gate throughout the camp, and
slay every man his brother, and
every man his companion, and
every man his neighbour.
He told them, “This is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says: ‘Each of you men is to
fasten his sword to his side, go back and forth through the camp from gate to gate, and
slay his brother, his friend, and his
neighbor.’”
For Moses had said,
Consecrate yourselves to day to the LORD, even
every man upon his son, and upon his brother; that he may
bestow upon you a blessing this day.
Afterward, Moses said, “
Today you have been ordained for service to the LORD, since each man went against his son and his brother; so the LORD has bestowed a blessing on you this day.”
And Moses took the tabernacle, and pitched it without the camp,
afar off from the camp, and called it the Tabernacle of the congregation. And it came to pass, that
every one which sought the LORD went out unto the tabernacle of the congregation, which was without the camp.
Now Moses used to take the tent and pitch it at a distance outside the camp. He called it the Tent of Meeting, and
anyone inquiring of the LORD would go to the Tent of Meeting outside the camp.
And it came to pass, when Moses went out unto the tabernacle, that all the people rose up, and stood every man at his tent door, and looked after Moses, until he was gone into the tabernacle.
Then, whenever Moses went out to the tent, all the people would stand at the entrances to their own tents and watch Moses until he entered the tent.
And all the people saw the
cloudy pillar stand at the tabernacle door: and all the people rose up and worshipped,
every man in his tent door.
When all the people saw the
pillar of cloud standing at the entrance to the tent, they would stand up and worship, each one at the entrance to his own tent.
All that openeth the
matrix is mine; and
every firstling among thy cattle, whether ox or sheep, that is male.
The first offspring of
every womb belongs to Me, including all the
firstborn males among your
livestock, whether cattle or sheep.
And afterward all the children of Israel came
nigh: and he gave them in commandment all that the LORD had spoken with him in mount
Sinai.
And after this all the Israelites came near, and Moses commanded them to do
everything that the LORD had told him on Mount
Sinai.
Take ye from among you an offering unto the LORD:
whosoever is of a willing heart, let him bring it, an offering of the LORD; gold, and silver, and brass,
Take from among you an offering to the LORD. Let
everyone whose heart is willing bring an offering to the LORD: gold, silver, and bronze;
And every wise hearted among you shall come, and make all that the LORD hath commanded;
Let
every skilled
craftsman among you come and make
everything that the LORD has commanded:
And they came,
every one whose heart
stirred him up, and
every one whom his spirit made willing, and they brought the LORD’S offering to the work of the tabernacle of the congregation, and for all his service, and for the holy garments.
And
everyone whose heart
stirred him and whose spirit
prompted him came and brought an offering to the LORD for the work on the Tent of Meeting, for all its services, and for the holy garments.
And they came, both men and women, as many as were willing hearted, and brought bracelets, and earrings, and rings, and tablets, all jewels of gold: and every man that offered offered an offering of gold unto the LORD.
So all who had willing hearts, both men and women, came and brought brooches and earrings, rings and necklaces, and all kinds of gold
jewelry. And they all presented their gold as a wave offering to the LORD.
And every man, with whom was found blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine linen, and goats’ hair, and red skins of rams, and badgers’ skins, brought them.
Everyone who had blue, purple, or scarlet yarn, or fine linen, goat hair, ram skins
dyed red, or articles of fine leather, brought them.
Every one that did offer an offering of silver and brass brought the LORD’S offering: and
every man, with whom was found
shittim wood for any work of the service, brought it.
And all who could present an offering of silver or bronze brought it as a contribution to the LORD. Also,
everyone who had
acacia wood for any part of the service brought it.
And all the women that were wise hearted did
spin with their hands, and brought that which they had
spun, both of blue, and of purple, and of scarlet, and of fine linen.
Every skilled woman
spun with her hands and brought what she had
spun: blue, purple, or scarlet yarn, or fine linen.
The children of Israel brought a willing offering unto the LORD, every man and woman, whose heart made them willing to bring for all manner of work, which the LORD had commanded to be made by the hand of Moses.
So all the men and women of the Israelites whose hearts
prompted them brought a
freewill offering to the LORD for all the work that the LORD through Moses had commanded them to do.
And in the cutting of stones, to set them, and in
carving of wood, to make any manner of
cunning work.
to cut gemstones for settings, and to
carve wood, so that he may be a master of
every artistic craft.
Them hath he filled with wisdom of heart, to work all manner of work, of the
engraver, and of the
cunning workman, and of the
embroiderer, in blue, and in purple, in scarlet, and in fine linen, and of the
weaver, even of them that do any work, and of those that
devise cunning work.
He has filled them with skill to do all kinds of work as engravers, designers, embroiderers in blue, purple, and scarlet yarn and fine linen, and as weavers—as artistic designers of every kind of craft.
Then wrought Bezaleel and Aholiab, and every wise hearted man, in whom the LORD put wisdom and understanding to know how to work all manner of work for the service of the sanctuary, according to all that the LORD had commanded.
“So Bezalel, Oholiab, and every skilled person are to carry out everything commanded by the LORD, who has given them skill and ability to know how to perform all the work of constructing the sanctuary.”
