Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye be come into the land of your habitations, which I give unto you,
“Speak to the Israelites and tell them: After you enter the land that I am giving you as a home
Of the first of your
dough ye shall
give unto the LORD an
heave offering in your generations.
Throughout your generations, you are to
give the LORD an offering from the first of your
dough.
Moreover thou hast not brought us into a land that floweth with milk and honey, or
given us inheritance of fields and vineyards:
wilt thou put out the eyes of these men? we will not come up.
Moreover, you have not brought us into a land flowing with milk and honey or
given us an inheritance of fields and vineyards. Will you
gouge out the eyes of these men? No, we will not come!”
And I, behold, I have taken your brethren the Levites from among the children of Israel: to you they are given as a gift for the LORD, to do the service of the tabernacle of the congregation.
Behold, I Myself have selected your fellow Levites from the Israelites as a gift to you, dedicated to the LORD to perform the service for the Tent of Meeting.
Therefore thou and thy sons with thee shall keep your priest’s office for every thing of the altar, and within the
vail; and ye shall serve: I have
given your priest’s office unto you as a service of gift: and the stranger that cometh
nigh shall be put to death.
But only you and your sons shall attend to your priesthood for everything concerning the altar and what is inside the
veil, and you are to perform that service. I am giving you the work of the priesthood as a gift, but any outsider who comes near the sanctuary must be put to death.”
And the LORD spake unto Aaron, Behold, I also have
given thee the charge of mine
heave offerings of all the
hallowed things of the children of Israel; unto thee have I
given them by reason of the
anointing, and to thy sons, by an
ordinance for ever.
Then the LORD said to Aaron, “Behold, I have put you in charge of My offerings. As for all the sacred offerings of the Israelites, I have given them to you and your sons as a portion and a permanent statute.
And this is thine; the
heave offering of their gift, with all the wave offerings of the children of Israel: I have
given them unto thee, and to thy sons and to thy daughters with thee, by a statute for ever: every one that is clean in thy house shall eat of it.
And this is yours as well: the offering of their gifts, along with all the wave offerings of the Israelites. I have
given this to you and your sons and daughters as a permanent statute. Every
ceremonially clean person in your household may eat it.
All the best of the oil, and all the best of the wine, and of the wheat, the firstfruits of them which they shall offer unto the LORD, them have I given thee.
I give you all the freshest olive oil and all the finest new wine and grain that the Israelites give to the LORD as their firstfruits.
All the
heave offerings of the holy things, which the children of Israel offer unto the LORD, have I
given thee, and thy sons and thy daughters with thee, by a statute for ever: it is a covenant of salt for ever before the LORD unto thee and to thy seed with thee.
All the holy offerings that the Israelites present to the LORD I give to you and to your sons and daughters as a permanent statute. It is a permanent covenant of salt before the LORD for you and your offspring.”
And, behold, I have given the children of Levi all the tenth in Israel for an inheritance, for their service which they serve, even the service of the tabernacle of the congregation.
Behold, I have
given to the Levites all the
tithes in Israel as an inheritance in return for the work they do, the service of the Tent of Meeting.
But the
tithes of the children of Israel, which they offer as an
heave offering unto the LORD, I have
given to the Levites to
inherit: therefore I have said unto them, Among the children of Israel they shall have no inheritance.
For I have
given to the Levites as their inheritance the
tithe that the Israelites present to the LORD as a contribution. That is why I told them that they would not receive an inheritance among the Israelites.”
Thus speak unto the Levites, and say unto them, When ye take of the children of Israel the
tithes which I have
given you from them for your inheritance, then ye shall offer up an
heave offering of it for the LORD, even a tenth part of the
tithe.
“Speak to the Levites and tell them: ‘When you receive from the Israelites the
tithe that I have
given you as your inheritance, you must present part of it as an offering to the LORD—a
tithe of the
tithe.
Thus ye also shall offer an
heave offering unto the LORD of all your
tithes, which ye receive of the children of Israel; and ye shall
give thereof the LORD’S
heave offering to Aaron the priest.
So you are to present an offering to the LORD from all the
tithes you receive from the Israelites, and from these you are to
give the LORD’s offering to Aaron the priest.
And ye shall
give her unto
Eleazar the priest, that he may bring her forth without the camp, and one shall
slay her before his face:
Give it to
Eleazar the priest, and he will have it brought outside the camp and slaughtered in his presence.
Take the rod, and gather thou the assembly together, thou, and Aaron thy brother, and speak ye unto the rock before their eyes; and it shall give forth his water, and thou shalt bring forth to them water out of the rock: so thou shalt give the congregation and their beasts drink.
“Take the staff and
assemble the congregation. You and your brother Aaron are to speak to the rock while they watch, and it will pour out its water. You will bring out water from the rock and provide drink for the congregation and their
livestock.”
And the LORD spake unto Moses and Aaron, Because ye believed me not, to
sanctify me in the eyes of the children of Israel, therefore ye shall not bring this congregation into the land which I have
given them.
But the LORD said to Moses and Aaron, “Because you did not trust Me to show My
holiness in the sight of the Israelites, you will not bring this assembly into the land that I have
given them.”
Thus
Edom refused to
give Israel passage through his border: wherefore Israel turned away from him.
So
Edom refused to allow Israel to pass through their territory, and Israel turned away from them.
Aaron shall be gathered unto his people: for he shall not enter into the land which I have given unto the children of Israel, because ye rebelled against my word at the water of Meribah.
“Aaron will be gathered to his people; he will not enter the land that I have given the Israelites, because both of you rebelled against My command at the waters of Meribah.
And from thence they went to Beer: that is the well
whereof the LORD spake unto Moses, Gather the people together, and I will
give them water.
From there they went on to Beer, the well where the LORD said to Moses, “Gather the people so that I may give them water.”
Woe to thee, Moab! thou art undone, O people of
Chemosh: he hath
given his sons that escaped, and his daughters, into captivity unto Sihon king of the
Amorites.
Woe to you, O Moab! You are destroyed, O people of
Chemosh! He gave up his sons as refugees, and his daughters into captivity to Sihon king of the
Amorites.
And he said unto them,
Lodge here this night, and I will bring you word again, as the LORD shall speak unto me: and the princes of Moab abode with
Balaam.
“
Spend the night here,”
Balaam replied, “and I will
give you the answer that the LORD speaks to me.” So the princes of Moab stayed with
Balaam.
And
Balaam rose up in the morning, and said unto the princes of Balak, Get you into your land: for the LORD refuseth to
give me leave to go with you.
So
Balaam got up the next morning and said to Balak’s princes, “Go back to your homeland, because the LORD has refused to let me go with you.”
And
Balaam answered and said unto the servants of Balak, If Balak would
give me his house full of silver and gold, I cannot go beyond the word of the LORD my God, to do less or more.
But
Balaam replied to the servants of Balak, “If Balak were to
give me his house full of silver and gold, I could not do anything small or great to go beyond the command of the LORD my God.
And the LORD put a word in
Balaam’s mouth, and said, Return unto Balak, and thus thou shalt speak.
Then the LORD put a message in
Balaam’s mouth, saying, “Return to Balak and
give him this message.”
And he took up his parable, and said, Rise up, Balak, and hear;
hearken unto me, thou son of Zippor:
Then
Balaam lifted up an
oracle, saying: “Arise, O Balak, and
listen;
give ear to me, O son of Zippor.
If Balak would give me his house full of silver and gold, I cannot go beyond the commandment of the LORD, to do either good or bad of mine own mind; but what the LORD saith, that will I speak?
that even if Balak were to
give me his house full of silver and gold, I could not do anything of my own
accord, good or bad, to go beyond the command of the LORD? I will speak whatever the LORD says.
Wherefore say, Behold, I give unto him my covenant of peace:
Declare, therefore, that I am granting him My covenant of peace.
To many thou shalt give the more inheritance, and to few thou shalt give the less inheritance: to every one shall his inheritance be given according to those that were numbered of him.
Increase the inheritance for a large tribe and decrease it for a small one; each tribe is to receive its inheritance according to the number of those registered.
And those that were numbered of them were twenty and three thousand, all males from a month old and upward: for they were not numbered among the children of Israel, because there was no inheritance given them among the children of Israel.
The
registration of the Levites totaled 23,000, every male a month old or more; they were not numbered among the other Israelites, because no inheritance was
given to them among the Israelites.
Why should the name of our father be done away from among his family, because he hath no son? Give unto us therefore a possession among the brethren of our father.
Why should the name of our father disappear from his clan because he had no sons? Give us property among our father’s brothers.”
The daughters of Zelophehad speak right: thou shalt surely give them a possession of an inheritance among their father’s brethren; and thou shalt cause the inheritance of their father to pass unto them.
“The daughters of Zelophehad speak correctly. You certainly must give them property as an inheritance among their father’s brothers, and transfer their father’s inheritance to them.
And if he have no daughter, then ye shall give his inheritance unto his brethren.
If he has no daughter, give his inheritance to his brothers.
And if he have no brethren, then ye shall give his inheritance unto his father’s brethren.
If he has no brothers, give his inheritance to his father’s brothers.
And if his father have no brethren, then ye shall
give his inheritance unto his
kinsman that is next to him of his family, and he shall possess it: and it shall be unto the children of Israel a statute of judgment, as the LORD commanded Moses.
And if his father has no brothers,
give his inheritance to the next of
kin from his clan, that he may take possession of it. This is to be a
statutory ordinance for the Israelites, as the LORD has commanded Moses.’”
And the LORD said unto Moses, Get thee up into this mount Abarim, and see the land which I have given unto the children of Israel.
Then the LORD said to Moses, “Go up this mountain of the Abarim range and see the land that I have given the Israelites.
And set him before
Eleazar the priest, and before all the congregation; and
give him a charge in their sight.
Have him stand before
Eleazar the priest and the whole congregation, and commission him in their sight.
Take it of their half, and
give it unto
Eleazar the priest, for an
heave offering of the LORD.
Take it from their half and
give it to
Eleazar the priest as an offering to the LORD.
And of the children of Israel’s half, thou shalt take one portion of fifty, of the persons, of the
beeves, of the
asses, and of the flocks, of all manner of beasts, and
give them unto the Levites, which keep the charge of the tabernacle of the LORD.
From the Israelites’ half, take one out of every fifty, whether persons, cattle,
donkeys, sheep, or other animals, and
give them to the Levites who keep charge of the tabernacle of the LORD.”
Wherefore, said they, if we have found grace in thy sight, let this land be given unto thy servants for a possession, and bring us not over Jordan.
“If we have found favor in your sight,” they said, “let this land be given to your servants as a possession. Do not make us cross the Jordan.”
And wherefore discourage ye the heart of the children of Israel from going over into the land which the LORD hath given them?
Why are you discouraging the Israelites from crossing into the land that the LORD has given them?
For when they went up unto the valley of
Eshcol, and saw the land, they discouraged the heart of the children of Israel, that they should not go into the land which the LORD had
given them.
For when your fathers went up to the Valley of
Eshcol and saw the land, they discouraged the Israelites from entering the land that the LORD had
given them.
Surely none of the men that came up out of Egypt, from twenty years old and upward, shall see the land which I
sware unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob; because they have not wholly followed me:
‘Because they did not follow Me wholeheartedly, not one of the men twenty years of age or older who came out of Egypt will see the land that I
swore to
give Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob—
And Moses said unto them, If the children of
Gad and the children of
Reuben will pass with you over Jordan, every man armed to battle, before the LORD, and the land shall be subdued before you; then ye shall
give them the land of
Gilead for a possession:
And Moses said to them, “If the Gadites and Reubenites cross the Jordan with you, with every man armed for battle before the LORD, and the land is subdued before you, then you are to
give them the land of
Gilead as a possession.
And ye shall dispossess the inhabitants of the land, and dwell therein: for I have given you the land to possess it.
You are to take possession of the land and settle in it, for I have given you the land to possess.
And ye shall divide the land by lot for an inheritance among your families: and to the more ye shall
give the more inheritance, and to the fewer ye shall
give the less inheritance: every man’s inheritance shall be in the place where his lot falleth; according to the tribes of your fathers ye shall
inherit.
And you are to divide the land by lot according to your clans. Give a larger inheritance to a larger clan and a smaller inheritance to a smaller one. Whatever falls to each one by lot will be his. You will receive an inheritance according to the tribes of your fathers.
And Moses commanded the children of Israel, saying, This is the land which ye shall
inherit by lot, which the LORD commanded to
give unto the nine tribes, and to the half tribe:
So Moses commanded the Israelites, “
Apportion this land by lot as an inheritance. The LORD has commanded that it be
given to the nine and a half tribes.
Command the children of Israel, that they give unto the Levites of the inheritance of their possession cities to dwell in; and ye shall give also unto the Levites suburbs for the cities round about them.
“Command the Israelites to give, from the inheritance they will possess, cities for the Levites to live in and pasturelands around the cities.
And the suburbs of the cities, which ye shall give unto the Levites, shall reach from the wall of the city and outward a thousand cubits round about.
The pasturelands around the cities you are to give the Levites will extend a thousand cubits from the wall on every side.
And among the cities which ye shall
give unto the Levites there shall be six cities for refuge, which ye shall
appoint for the
manslayer, that he may
flee thither: and to them ye shall add forty and two cities.
Six of the cities you
give the Levites are to be appointed as cities of refuge, to which a
manslayer may
flee. In addition to these,
give the Levites forty-two other cities.
So all the cities which ye shall give to the Levites shall be forty and eight cities: them shall ye give with their suburbs.
The total number of cities you give the Levites will be forty-eight, with their corresponding pasturelands.
And the cities which ye shall give shall be of the possession of the children of Israel: from them that have many ye shall give many; but from them that have few ye shall give few: every one shall give of his cities unto the Levites according to his inheritance which he inheriteth.
The cities that you
apportion from the territory of the Israelites should be
given to the Levites in proportion to the inheritance of each tribe: more from a larger tribe and less from a smaller one.”
And of these cities which ye shall give six cities shall ye have for refuge.
The cities you select will be your six cities of refuge.
Ye shall
give three cities on this side Jordan, and three cities shall ye
give in the land of
Canaan, which shall be cities of refuge.
Select three cities across the Jordan and three in the land of
Canaan as cities of refuge.
And they said, The LORD commanded my lord to give the land for an inheritance by lot to the children of Israel: and my lord was commanded by the LORD to give the inheritance of Zelophehad our brother unto his daughters.
saying, “When the LORD commanded my lord to give the land as an inheritance to the Israelites by lot, He also commanded him to give the inheritance of our brother Zelophehad to his daughters.
And it came to pass in the
fortieth year, in the
eleventh month, on the first day of the month, that Moses spake unto the children of Israel, according unto all that the LORD had
given him in commandment unto them;
In the
fortieth year, on the first day of the
eleventh month, Moses proclaimed to the Israelites all that the LORD had commanded him concerning them.
Behold, I have set the land before you: go in and possess the land which the LORD
sware unto your fathers, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, to
give unto them and to their seed after them.
See, I have placed the land before you. Enter and possess the land that the LORD
swore He would
give to your fathers Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and to their descendants after them.”
And I said unto you, Ye are come unto the mountain of the
Amorites, which the LORD our God
doth give unto us.
I said: “You have reached the hill country of the
Amorites, which the LORD our God is giving us.
And they took of the fruit of the land in their hands, and brought it down unto us, and brought us word again, and said, It is a good land which the LORD our God
doth give us.
They took some of the fruit of the land in their hands, carried it down to us, and brought us word: “It is a good land that the LORD our God is giving us.”
Surely there shall not one of these men of this evil generation see that good land, which I
sware to
give unto your fathers,
“Not one of the men of this evil generation shall see the good land I
swore to
give your fathers,
Save
Caleb the son of Jephunneh; he shall see it, and to him will I
give the land that he hath
trodden upon, and to his children, because he hath wholly followed the LORD.
except
Caleb son of Jephunneh. He will see it, and I will
give him and his descendants the land on which he has set foot, because he followed the LORD wholeheartedly.”
Moreover your little ones, which ye said should be a prey, and your children, which in that day had no knowledge between good and evil, they shall go in thither, and unto them will I give it, and they shall possess it.
And the little ones you said would become
captives—your children who on that day did not know good from evil—will enter the land that I will
give them, and they will possess it.
And ye returned and
wept before the LORD; but the LORD would not
hearken to your voice, nor
give ear unto you.
And you returned and
wept before the LORD, but He would not
listen to your voice or
give ear to you.
Meddle not with them; for I will not
give you of their land, no, not so much as a
footbreadth; because I have
given mount
Seir unto
Esau for a possession.
Do not
provoke them, for I will not
give you any of their land, not even a
footprint, because I have
given Mount
Seir to
Esau as his possession.
And the LORD said unto me, Distress not the Moabites, neither
contend with them in battle: for I will not
give thee of their land for a possession; because I have
given Ar unto the children of Lot for a possession.
Then the LORD said to me, “Do not
harass the Moabites or
provoke them to war, for I will not
give you any of their land, because I have
given Ar to the descendants of Lot as their possession.”
And when thou comest
nigh over against the children of
Ammon, distress them not, nor
meddle with them: for I will not
give thee of the land of the children of
Ammon any possession; because I have
given it unto the children of Lot for a possession.
But when you get close to the
Ammonites, do not
harass them or
provoke them, for I will not
give you any of the land of the
Ammonites. I have
given it to the descendants of Lot as their possession.”
Rise ye up, take your journey, and pass over the river
Arnon: behold, I have
given into thine hand Sihon the Amorite, king of
Heshbon, and his land: begin to possess it, and
contend with him in battle.
“Arise, set out, and cross the
Arnon Valley. See, I have delivered into your hand Sihon the Amorite, king of
Heshbon, and his land. Begin to take possession of it and
engage him in battle.
Thou shalt sell me meat for money, that I may eat; and give me water for money, that I may drink: only I will pass through on my feet;
You can sell us food to eat and water to drink in exchange for silver. Only let us pass through on foot,
(As the children of
Esau which dwell in
Seir, and the Moabites which dwell in Ar, did unto me;) until I shall pass over Jordan into the land which the LORD our God
giveth us.
just as the descendants of
Esau who live in
Seir and the Moabites who live in Ar did for us, until we cross the Jordan into the land that the LORD our God is giving us.”
And the LORD said unto me, Behold, I have begun to
give Sihon and his land before thee: begin to possess, that thou mayest
inherit his land.
Then the LORD said to me, “See, I have begun to deliver Sihon and his land over to you. Now begin to
conquer and possess his land.”
And I commanded you at that time, saying, The LORD your God hath given you this land to possess it: ye shall pass over armed before your brethren the children of Israel, all that are meet for the war.
At that time I commanded you: “The LORD your God has
given you this land to possess. All your men of
valor are to cross over, armed for battle,
ahead of your brothers, the Israelites.
But your wives, and your little ones, and your cattle, (for I know that ye have much cattle,) shall
abide in your cities which I have
given you;
But your wives, your children, and your
livestock—I know that you have much
livestock—may remain in the cities I have
given you,
Until the LORD have given rest unto your brethren, as well as unto you, and until they also possess the land which the LORD your God hath given them beyond Jordan: and then shall ye return every man unto his possession, which I have given you.
until the LORD gives rest to your brothers as He has to you, and they too have taken possession of the land that the LORD your God is giving them across the Jordan. Then each of you may return to the possession I have given you.”
Now therefore
hearken, O Israel, unto the statutes and unto the judgments, which I teach you, for to do them, that ye may live, and go in and possess the land which the LORD God of your fathers
giveth you.
Hear now, O Israel, the statutes and ordinances I am teaching you to follow, so that you may live and may enter and take possession of the land that the LORD, the God of your fathers, is giving you.
Furthermore the LORD was
angry with me for your sakes, and
sware that I should not go over Jordan, and that I should not go in unto that good land, which the LORD thy God
giveth thee for an inheritance:
The LORD, however, was
angry with me on account of you, and He
swore that I would not cross the Jordan to enter the good land that the LORD your God is giving you as an inheritance.
To drive out nations from before thee greater and mightier than thou art, to bring thee in, to give thee their land for an inheritance, as it is this day.
to drive out before you nations greater and mightier than you, and to bring you into their land and give it to you for your inheritance, as it is this day.
Thou shalt keep therefore his statutes, and his commandments, which I command thee this day, that it may go well with thee, and with thy children after thee, and that thou mayest
prolong thy days upon the earth, which the LORD thy God
giveth thee, for ever.
Keep His statutes and commandments, which I am giving you
today, so that you and your children after you may
prosper, and that you may live long in the land that the LORD your God is giving you for all time.
Honour thy father and thy mother, as the LORD thy God hath commanded thee; that thy days may be prolonged, and that it may go well with thee, in the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.
Honor your father and your mother, as the LORD your God has commanded you, so that your days may be long and that it may go well with you in the land that the LORD your God is giving you.
But as for thee, stand thou here by me, and I will speak unto thee all the commandments, and the statutes, and the judgments, which thou shalt teach them, that they may do them in the land which I give them to possess it.
But you stand here with Me, that I may speak to you all the commandments and statutes and ordinances you are to teach them to follow in the land that I am giving them to possess.”
That thou mightest fear the LORD thy God, to keep all his statutes and his commandments, which I command thee, thou, and thy son, and thy son’s son, all the days of thy life; and that thy days may be prolonged.
so that you and your children and grandchildren may fear the LORD your God all the days of your lives by keeping all His statutes and commandments that I give you, and so that your days may be prolonged.
And it shall be, when the LORD thy God shall have brought thee into the land which he
sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to
give thee great and goodly cities, which thou buildedst not,
And when the LORD your God brings you into the land He
swore to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, that He would
give you—a land with great and splendid cities that you did not build,
Ye shall
diligently keep the commandments of the LORD your God, and his
testimonies, and his statutes, which he hath commanded thee.
You are to
diligently keep the commandments of the LORD your God and the
testimonies and statutes He has
given you.
And thou shalt do that which is right and good in the sight of the LORD: that it may be well with thee, and that thou mayest go in and possess the good land which the LORD
sware unto thy fathers,
Do what is right and good in the sight of the LORD, so that it may be well with you and that you may enter and possess the good land that the LORD your God
swore to
give your fathers,
And he brought us out from thence, that he might bring us in, to
give us the land which he
sware unto our fathers.
But He brought us out from there to lead us in and
give us the land that He had
sworn to our fathers.
Neither shalt thou make marriages with them; thy daughter thou shalt not give unto his son, nor his daughter shalt thou take unto thy son.
Do not
intermarry with them. Do not
give your daughters to their sons or take their daughters for your sons,
And he will love thee, and
bless thee, and multiply thee: he will also
bless the fruit of thy
womb, and the fruit of thy land, thy corn, and thy wine, and thine oil, the increase of thy
kine, and the flocks of thy sheep, in the land which he
sware unto thy fathers to
give thee.
He will love you and
bless you and multiply you. He will
bless the fruit of your
womb and the produce of your land—your grain, new wine, and oil, the young of your herds and the lambs of your flocks—in the land that He
swore to your fathers to
give you.
But the LORD thy God shall deliver them unto thee, and shall destroy them with a mighty destruction, until they be destroyed.
But the LORD your God will give them over to you and throw them into great confusion, until they are destroyed.
All the commandments which I command thee this day shall ye observe to do, that ye may live, and multiply, and go in and possess the land which the LORD
sware unto your fathers.
You must carefully follow every commandment I am giving you
today, so that you may live and multiply, and enter and possess the land that the LORD
swore to
give your fathers.
When thou hast eaten and art full, then thou shalt
bless the LORD thy God for the good land which he hath
given thee.
When you eat and are satisfied, you are to
bless the LORD your God for the good land that He has
given you.
But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for it is he that
giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he
sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day.
But remember that it is the LORD your God who
gives you the power to gain wealth, in order to
confirm His covenant that He
swore to your fathers even to this day.
Understand therefore, that the LORD thy God giveth thee not this good land to possess it for thy righteousness; for thou art a stiffnecked people.
Understand, then, that it is not because of your righteousness that the LORD your God is giving you this good land to possess, for you are a stiff-necked people.
Likewise when the LORD sent you from Kadesh-barnea, saying, Go up and possess the land which I have
given you; then ye rebelled against the commandment of the LORD your God, and ye believed him not, nor
hearkened to his voice.
And when the LORD sent you out from Kadesh-barnea, He said, “Go up and possess the land that I have given you.” But you rebelled against the command of the LORD your God. You neither believed Him nor obeyed Him.
And the LORD said unto me, Arise, take thy journey before the people, that they may go in and possess the land, which I
sware unto their fathers to
give unto them.
Then the LORD said to me, “Get up. Continue your journey
ahead of the people, that they may enter and possess the land that I
swore to their fathers to
give them.”
And that ye may
prolong your days in the land, which the LORD
sware unto your fathers to
give unto them and to their seed, a land that floweth with milk and honey.
and so that you may live long in the land that the LORD
swore to your fathers to
give them and their descendants, a land flowing with milk and honey.
That I will give you the rain of your land in his due season, the first rain and the latter rain, that thou mayest gather in thy corn, and thy wine, and thine oil.
then I will provide rain for your land in season, the autumn and spring rains, that you may gather your grain, new wine, and oil.
And then the LORD’S wrath be
kindled against you, and he shut up the heaven, that there be no rain, and that the land yield not her fruit; and lest ye perish quickly from off the good land which the LORD
giveth you.
or the anger of the LORD will be
kindled against you. He will shut the heavens so that there will be no rain, nor will the land yield its produce, and you will soon perish from the good land that the LORD is giving you.
That your days may be multiplied, and the days of your children, in the land which the LORD
