And account that the
longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom
given unto him hath written unto you;
Consider also that our Lord’s
patience brings salvation, just as our beloved brother Paul also wrote you with the wisdom God gave him.
Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.
Behold what manner of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God. And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know Him.
And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And
hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath
given us.
Whoever keeps His commandments remains in God, and God in him. And by this we know that He remains in us: by the Spirit He has
given us.
Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath
given us of his Spirit.
By this we know that we remain in Him, and He in us: He has given us of His Spirit.
If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater: for this is the witness of God which he hath
testified of his Son.
Even if we accept human testimony, the testimony of God is greater. For this is the testimony that God has given about His Son.
He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a
liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son.
Whoever believes in the Son of God has this testimony within him;
whoever does not believe God has made Him out to be a
liar, because he has not believed in the testimony that God has
given about His Son.
And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.
And this is that testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son.
And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.
And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding, so that we may know Him who is true; and we are in Him who is true—in His Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life.

And I saw, and behold a white horse: and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was

So I looked and saw a white horse, and its rider held a bow. And he was
given a crown, and he
rode out to overcome and
conquer.
And there went out another horse that was red: and power was
given to him that sat
thereon to take peace from the earth, and that they should kill one another: and there was

slay one another. And he was
given a great sword.
And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and
Hell followed with him. And power was
given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth.
Then I looked and saw a pale green horse. Its rider’s name was Death, and Hades followed close behind. And they were given authority over a fourth of the earth, to kill by sword, by famine, by plague, and by the beasts of the earth.
And white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellowservants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled.
Then each of them was
given a white
robe and told to rest a little while longer, until the full number of their fellow servants, their brothers, were killed, just as they had been killed.

cried with a loud voice to the four angels, to whom it was
given to
hurt the earth and the sea,
And I saw another angel ascending from the east, with the seal of the living God. And he called out in a loud voice to the four angels who had been

trumpets.

Abyss.

And to them it was
given that they should not kill them, but that they should be
tormented five months: and their
torment was as the
torment of a
scorpion, when he striketh a man.
And there was given me a reed like unto a rod: and the angel stood, saying, Rise, and measure the temple of God, and the altar, and them that worship therein.
Then I was given a measuring rod like a staff and was told, “Go and measure the temple of God and the altar, and count the number of worshipers there.
But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is
given unto the Gentiles: and the holy city shall they
tread under foot forty and two months.
But
exclude the
courtyard outside the temple. Do not measure it, because it has been
given over to the nations, and they will
trample the holy city for 42 months.
And when the
dragon saw that he was cast unto the earth, he
persecuted the woman which brought forth the man child.
And when the
dragon saw that he had been thrown to the earth, he pursued the woman who had
given birth to the male child.
And to the woman were
given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is
nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent.
But the woman was
given two wings of a great eagle to fly from the presence of the serpent to her place in the wilderness, where she was
nourished for a time, and times, and half a time.
And they worshipped the
dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him?
They worshiped the
dragon who had
given authority to the beast, and they worshiped the beast, saying, “Who is like the beast, and who can
wage war against it?”

And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.
Because of the signs it was
given to perform on behalf of the first beast, it
deceived those who dwell on the earth, telling them to make an image to the beast that had been wounded by the sword and yet had lived.

And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was
given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were
beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.
Then I saw the thrones, and those seated on them had been
given authority to judge. And I saw the souls of those who had been
beheaded for their testimony of Jesus and for the word of God, and those who had not worshiped the beast or its image, and had not received its mark on their foreheads or hands. And they came to life and reigned with Christ for a thousand years.

And unto the people that was found there Josias gave thirty thousand lambs and kids, and three thousand
calves: these things were
given of the king’s allowance, according as he promised, to the people, to the priests, and to the Levites.
And in all
Jewry they
mourned for Josias,
yea, Jeremy the prophet
lamented for Josias, and the chief men with the women made
lamentation for him unto this day: and this was
given out for an
ordinance to be done continually in all the nation of Israel.

hewn stones, and one row of new wood of that country; and the expences thereof to be
given out of the house of king Cyrus:
And out of the tribute of Celosyria and Phenice a portion carefully to be given these men for the sacrifices of the Lord, that is, to Zorobabel the governor, for bullocks, and rams, and lambs;
This
Esdras went up from Babylon, as a
scribe, being very ready in the law of Moses, that was
given by the God of Israel.
Having determined to deal
graciously, I have
given order, that such of the nation of the Jews, and of the priests and Levites being within our realm, as are willing and
desirous should go with thee unto Jerusalem.
With that also which is
given of the people for the temple of the Lord their God at Jerusalem: and that silver and gold may be collected for bullocks, rams, and lambs, and things
thereunto appertaining;
And the holy vessels of the Lord, which are given thee for the use of the temple of thy God, which is in Jerusalem, thou shalt set before thy God in Jerusalem.
And I
weighed them the gold, and the silver, and the holy vessels of the house of our Lord, which the king, and his council, and the princes, and all Israel, had
given.

given unto Israel.

thanks unto him that hath led you to the heavenly kingdom.
I answered and said,
Verily it is a
foolish thought that they both have devised, for the ground is
given unto the wood, and the sea also hath his place to bear his floods.
Then answered he me, and said, Thou hast
given a right judgment, but why judgest thou not
thyself also?
For like as the ground is given unto the wood, and the sea to his floods: even so they that dwell upon the earth may understand nothing but that which is upon the earth: and he that dwelleth above the heavens may only understand the things that are above the height of the heavens.
For it was not my mind to be curious of the high things, but of such as pass by us daily, namely, wherefore Israel is
given up as a reproach to the heathen, and for what cause the people whom thou hast loved is
given over unto ungodly nations, and why the law of our forefathers is brought to
nought, and the written covenants come to none effect,
And now, O Lord, why hast thou given this one people over unto many? and upon the one root hast thou prepared others, and why hast thou scattered thy only one people among many?

given me the way, I will proceed to speak before thee: for our mother, of whom thou hast told me that she is young, draweth now
nigh unto age.
But we thy people, whom thou hast called thy
firstborn, thy only
begotten, and thy
fervent lover, are
given into their hands.
If this city now were given unto a man for an inheritance, if he never shall pass the danger set before it, how shall he receive this inheritance?

given the earth unto Adam: or else, when it was
given him, to have restrained him from
sinning.

And
forasmuch as he is a righteous judge, he took from you in time the thing that he had
given you.
But she replied upon me, It was
given for a gift more than the wages.

bade her render it to the owners: and I was
abashed at her. But she replied upon me, Where are thine
alms and thy righteous deeds? behold, thou and all thy works are known.

given us to live with
doth suffice us.

maid hath been
given to seven men, who all died in the marriage chamber.
Then the angel said unto him,
Dost thou not remember the precepts which thy father gave thee, that thou shouldest marry a wife of thine own kindred? wherefore hear me, O my brother; for she shall be
given thee to wife; and make thou no
reckoning of the evil spirit; for this same night shall she be
given thee in marriage.
I have
given my daughter in marriage to seven men, who died that night they came in unto her: nevertheless for the present be
merry. But Tobias said, I will eat nothing here, till we agree and
swear one to another.
After these things Tobias went his way, praising God that he had given him a prosperous journey, and blessed Raguel and Edna his wife, and went on his way till they drew near unto Nineve.
For the which cause our fathers were
given to the sword, and for a
spoil, and had a great fall before our enemies.
And hast
given their wives for a prey, and their daughters to be
captives, and all their spoils to be divided among thy
dear children; which were moved with thy zeal, and
abhorred the
pollution of their blood, and called upon thee for aid: O God, O my God, hear me also a widow.
And took her, and asked her, Of what people art thou? and whence comest thou? and
whither goest thou? And she said, I am a woman of the Hebrews, and am fled from them: for they shall be

forthwith do it, and they shall be
given to thee to be destroyed the same day.

given them out of the
flinty rock, and their
thirst was
quenched out of the hard stone.

How that having
given them leave to depart, and sent them
hastily away, they would
repent and pursue them.

given to evil; neither could they make to themselves
fleshy hearts for
stony.
To whom hath he given power to declare his works? and who shall find out his noble acts?
A labouring man that A is
given to
drunkenness shall not be rich: and he that contemneth small things shall fall by little and little.
