today to
love the LORD your God, to walk in His ways, and to keep His commandments, statutes, and ordinances, so that you may live and increase, and the LORD your God may
bless you in the land that you are entering to possess.
That thou mayest
love the LORD thy God, and that thou mayest obey his voice, and that thou mayest
cleave unto him: for he is thy life, and the length of thy days: that thou mayest dwell in the land which the LORD
sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give them.

And
Samson’s wife
wept before him, and said, Thou
dost but
hate me, and
lovest me not: thou hast put forth a
riddle unto the children of my people, and hast not told it me. And he said unto her, Behold, I have not told it my father nor my mother, and shall I tell it thee?
Then
Samson’s wife came to him,
weeping, and said, “You
hate me! You do not really
love me! You have
posed to my people a
riddle, but have not explained it to me.” “Look,” he said, “I have not even explained it to my father or mother, so why should I explain it to you?”

mocked me and failed to
reveal to me the source of your great strength!”

loves you and is better to you than seven sons, has given him birth.”

I am distressed for thee, my brother
Jonathan: very pleasant hast thou been unto me: thy
love to me was wonderful, passing the

I
grieve for you,
Jonathan, my brother. You were delightful to me; your
love to me was extraordinary,
surpassing the
love of women.

lean from day to day?

love Tamar, my brother
Absalom’s sister.
so he asked Amnon, “Why are you, the son of the king, so depressed morning after morning? Won’t you tell me?” Amnon replied, “I am in
love with Tamar, my brother
Absalom’s sister.”
Then Amnon
hated her exceedingly; so that the hatred
wherewith he
hated her was greater than the
love wherewith he had
loved her. And Amnon said unto her, Arise, be gone.
Then Amnon
hated Tamar with such intensity that his hatred was greater than the
love he previously had. “Get up!” he said to her. “Be gone!”
In that thou
lovest thine enemies, and hatest thy friends. For thou hast declared this day, that thou regardest neither princes nor servants: for this day I perceive, that if
Absalom had lived, and all we had died this day, then it had pleased thee well.
You
love those who
hate you and
hate those who
love you! For you have made it clear
today that the commanders and soldiers mean nothing to you. I know
today that if

Of the nations concerning which the LORD said unto the children of Israel, Ye shall not go in to them, neither shall they come in unto you: for surely they will turn away your heart after their gods: Solomon

love.

seer went out to
confront him and said to King
Jehoshaphat, “Should you help the wicked and
love those who
hate the LORD? Because of this, the wrath of the LORD is upon you.
Also he built towers in the desert, and
digged many wells: for he had much cattle, both in the low country, and in the plains:
husbandmen also, and vine dressers in the mountains, and in
Carmel: for he
loved husbandry.
Since he had much
livestock in the foothills and in the plain, he built towers in the desert and
dug many cisterns. And since he was a
lover of the soil, he had farmers and vinedressers in the hill country and in the fertile fields.

beseech thee, O LORD God of heaven, the great and terrible God, that keepeth covenant and mercy for them that

love Him and keep His commandments,
Did not Solomon king of Israel sin by these things? yet among many nations was there no king like him, who was beloved of his God, and God made him king over all Israel: nevertheless even him did
outlandish women cause to sin.

And he brought up Hadassah, that is,
Esther, his uncle’s daughter: for she had neither father nor mother, and the
maid was fair and beautiful; whom
Mordecai, when her father and mother were dead, took for his own daughter.
And
Mordecai had brought up Hadassah (that is,
Esther), the daughter of his uncle, because she did not have a father or mother. The young woman was
lovely in form and appearance, and when her father and mother had died,
Mordecai had taken her in as his own daughter.
And the king
loved Esther above all the women, and she obtained grace and favour in his sight more than all the virgins; so that he set the royal crown upon her head, and made her queen instead of Vashti.
And the king
loved Esther more than all the other women, and she found grace and favor in his sight more than all of the other virgins. So he placed the royal crown upon her head and made her queen in place of Vashti.
All my inward friends
abhorred me: and they whom I
loved are turned against me.
All my best friends
despise me, and those I
love have turned against me.
O ye sons of men, how long will ye turn my glory into shame? how long will ye
love vanity, and seek after
leasing?
Selah.
How long, O men, will my honor be
maligned? How long will you
love vanity and seek after lies?
Selah But let all those that put their trust in thee
rejoice: let them ever
shout for joy, because thou defendest them: let them also that
love thy name be joyful in thee.
But let all who take refuge in You
rejoice; let them ever
shout for joy. May You shelter them, that those who
love Your name may
rejoice in You.

loveth righteousness; his countenance
doth behold the upright.

I will love thee, O LORD, my strength.
I love You, O LORD, my strength.

loved the
habitation of thy house, and the place where thine honour dwelleth.

O
love the LORD, all ye his saints: for the LORD preserveth the faithful, and
plentifully rewardeth the proud
doer.
Love the LORD, all His saints. The LORD preserves the faithful, but fully repays the
arrogant.
He loveth righteousness and judgment: the earth is full of the goodness of the LORD.
The LORD loves righteousness and justice; the earth is full of His loving devotion.
What man is he that desireth life, and loveth many days, that he may see good?
Who is the man who delights in life, who desires to see good days?
For the LORD loveth judgment, and forsaketh not his saints; they are preserved for ever: but the seed of the wicked shall be cut off.
For the LORD
loves justice and will not
forsake His saints. They are preserved
forever, but the offspring of the wicked will be cut off.
My beloved and friends
shun my disease, and my
kinsmen stand at a distance.
Let all those that seek thee
rejoice and be
glad in thee: let such as
love thy salvation say continually, The LORD be
magnified.
May all who seek You
rejoice and be
glad in You; may those who
love Your salvation always say, “The LORD be
magnified!”

lovest righteousness, and hatest wickedness: therefore God, thy God, hath
anointed thee with the oil of
gladness above thy fellows.
You have
loved righteousness and
hated wickedness; therefore God, your God, has
anointed you above your companions with the oil of joy.
He shall choose our inheritance for us, the
excellency of Jacob whom he
loved.
Selah.
He chooses our inheritance for us, the pride of Jacob, whom He
loves.
Selah Thou
lovest evil more than good; and lying rather than to speak righteousness.
Selah.
You
love evil more than good,
falsehood more than speaking truth.
Selah You
love every word that devours, O
deceitful tongue.
The seed also of his servants shall
inherit it: and they that
love his name shall dwell therein.
The descendants of His servants will
inherit it, and those who
love His name will settle in it.
Let all those that seek thee
rejoice and be
glad in thee: and let such as
love thy salvation say continually, Let God be
magnified.
May all who seek You
rejoice and be
glad in You; may those who
love Your salvation always say, “Let God be
magnified!”

Zion which he
loved.
But He chose the tribe of Judah, Mount
Zion, which He
loved.
How
amiable are thy tabernacles, O LORD of hosts!
How lovely is Your dwelling place, O LORD of Hosts!
