To set up on high those that be low; that those which
mourn may be
exalted to safety.
He sets the lowly on high, so that mourners are lifted to safety.
When men are cast down, then thou shalt say, There is lifting up; and he shall save the humble person.
When men are brought low and you say, ‘Lift them up!’ then He will save the lowly.
He lieth in wait secretly as a lion in his den: he lieth in wait to catch the poor: he
doth catch the poor, when he draweth him into his net.

SelahThough the LORD be high, yet hath he respect unto the
lowly: but the proud he knoweth
afar off.
Though the LORD is on high, He attends to the
lowly; but the proud He knows from
afar.
Surely he scorneth the scorners: but he giveth grace unto the lowly.

When pride cometh, then cometh shame: but with the lowly is wisdom.
When pride comes, disgrace follows, but with

Say unto the king and to the queen, Humble
yourselves, sit down: for your
principalities shall come down, even the crown of your glory.
Say to the king and to the queen mother: “Take a lowly seat, for your glorious crowns have fallen from your heads.”
Thus saith the Lord GOD; Remove the
diadem, and take off the crown: this shall not be the same:
exalt him that is low, and
abase him that is high.
This is what the Lord GOD says: ‘Remove the
turban, and take off the crown. Things will not remain as they are:
Exalt the
lowly and bring low the
exalted.
And I will bring again the captivity of Egypt, and will cause them to return into the land of Pathros, into the land of their
habitation; and they shall be there a base kingdom.
I will restore Egypt from captivity and bring them back to the land of Pathros, the land of their origin. There they will be a lowly kingdom.
Rejoice greatly, O daughter of
Zion;
shout, O daughter of Jerusalem: behold, thy King cometh unto thee: he is just, and having salvation;
lowly, and riding upon an
ass, and upon a
colt the
foal of an

He chose the
lowly and
despised things of the world, and the things that are not, to
nullify the things that are,
Who shall change our
vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to
subdue all things unto himself.
who, by the power that enables Him to subject all things to Himself, will
transform our
lowly bodies to be like His glorious body.
The light and the sun rose up, and the

exalted, and
