And thou shalt make holy garments for Aaron thy brother for glory and for beauty.
Make holy garments for your brother Aaron, to give him glory and
splendor.
And thou shalt speak unto all that are wise hearted, whom I have filled with the spirit of wisdom, that they may
make Aaron’s garments to
consecrate him, that he may minister unto me in the priest’s office.
You are to
instruct all the skilled
craftsmen, whom I have filled with a spirit of wisdom, to
make garments for Aaron’s
consecration, so that he may serve Me as priest.
And these are the garments which they shall
make; a
breastplate, and an
ephod, and a
robe, and a
broidered coat, a
mitre, and a
girdle: and they shall
make holy garments for Aaron thy brother, and his sons, that he may minister unto me in the priest’s office.
These are the garments that they shall
make: a breastpiece, an
ephod, a
robe, a
woven tunic, a
turban, and a
sash. They are to
make these holy garments for your brother Aaron and his sons, so that they may serve Me as priests.
And they shall
make the
ephod of gold, of blue, and of purple, of scarlet, and fine
twined linen, with
cunning work.
They are to
make the
ephod of finely
spun linen
embroidered with gold, and with blue, purple, and scarlet yarn.
With the work of an
engraver in stone, like the engravings of a
signet, shalt thou
engrave the two stones with the names of the children of Israel: thou shalt
make them to be set in ouches of gold.
Engrave the names of the sons of Israel on the two stones the way a
gem cutter engraves a seal. Then mount the stones in gold
filigree settings.
And thou shalt make ouches of gold;
And two chains of pure gold at the ends; of
wreathen work shalt thou
make them, and
fasten the
wreathen chains to the ouches.
and two chains of pure gold, made of
braided cord work; and
attach these chains to the settings.
And thou shalt
make the
breastplate of judgment with
cunning work; after the work of the
ephod thou shalt
make it; of gold, of blue, and of purple, and of scarlet, and of fine
twined linen, shalt thou
make it.
You are also to
make a breastpiece of judgment with the same
workmanship as the
ephod. Construct it with gold, with blue, purple, and scarlet yarn, and with finely
spun linen.
For the breastpiece,
make braided chains like cords of pure gold.
And thou shalt
make upon the
breastplate two rings of gold, and shalt put the two rings on the two ends of the
breastplate.
You are also to
make two gold rings and
fasten them to the two corners of the breastpiece.
And thou shalt
make two rings of gold, and thou shalt put them upon the two ends of the
breastplate in the border thereof, which is in the side of the
ephod inward.
Make two more gold rings and
attach them to the other two corners of the breastpiece, on the inside edge next to the
ephod.
And two other rings of gold thou shalt
make, and shalt put them on the two sides of the
ephod underneath, toward the
forepart thereof, over against the other coupling thereof, above the curious
girdle of the
ephod.
Make two additional gold rings and
attach them to the bottom of the two shoulder pieces of the
ephod, on its front, near its
seam just above its
woven waistband.
And thou shalt
make the
robe of the
ephod all of blue.
You are to
make the
robe of the
ephod entirely of blue cloth,
And beneath upon the
hem of it thou shalt
make pomegranates of blue, and of purple, and of scarlet, round about the
hem thereof; and bells of gold between them round about:
Make pomegranates of blue, purple, and scarlet yarn all the way around the lower
hem, with gold bells between them,
And thou shalt
make a plate of pure gold, and grave upon it, like the engravings of a
signet,
HOLINESS TO THE LORD.
You are to
make a plate of pure gold and
engrave on it as on a seal: HOLY TO THE LORD.
And for Aaron’s sons thou shalt make coats, and thou shalt make for them girdles, and bonnets shalt thou make for them, for glory and for beauty.
Make tunics, sashes, and headbands for Aaron’s sons, to give them glory and
splendor.
And thou shalt
make them linen
breeches to cover their nakedness; from the loins even unto the thighs they shall reach:
Make linen undergarments to cover their bare flesh, extending from
waist to
thigh.
And it shall be Aaron’s and his sons’ by a statute for ever from the children of Israel: for it is an
heave offering: and it shall be an
heave offering from the children of Israel of the sacrifice of their peace offerings, even their
heave offering unto the LORD.
This will belong to Aaron and his sons as a regular portion from the Israelites, for it is the
heave offering the Israelites will
make to the LORD from their peace offerings.
Seven days thou shalt
make an
atonement for the altar, and
sanctify it; and it shall be an altar most holy:
whatsoever toucheth the altar shall be holy.
For seven days you shall
make atonement for the altar and
consecrate it. Then the altar will become most holy; whatever touches the altar will be holy.
And thou shalt
make an altar to burn incense upon: of
shittim wood shalt thou
make it.
“You are also to
make an altar of
acacia wood for the burning of incense.
And thou shalt overlay it with pure gold, the top thereof, and the sides thereof round about, and the horns thereof; and thou shalt make unto it a crown of gold round about.
Overlay with pure gold the top and all the sides and horns, and
make a
molding of gold around it.
And two golden rings shalt thou
make to it under the crown of it, by the two corners thereof, upon the two sides of it shalt thou
make it; and they shall be for places for the
staves to bear it
withal.
And
make two gold rings below the
molding on opposite sides to hold the poles used to carry it.
And thou shalt
make the
staves of
shittim wood, and overlay them with gold.
Make the poles of
acacia wood and overlay them with gold.
And Aaron shall
make an
atonement upon the horns of it once in a year with the blood of the sin offering of atonements: once in the year shall he
make atonement upon it throughout your generations: it is most holy unto the LORD.
Once a year Aaron shall
make atonement on the horns of the altar. Throughout your generations he shall
make atonement on it annually with the blood of the sin offering of
atonement. The altar is most holy to the LORD.”
The rich shall not give more, and the poor shall not give less than half a
shekel, when they give an offering unto the LORD, to
make an
atonement for your souls.
In making the offering to the LORD to
atone for your lives, the rich shall not give more than a half
shekel, nor shall the poor give less.
And thou shalt take the
atonement money of the children of Israel, and shalt
appoint it for the service of the tabernacle of the congregation; that it may be a
memorial unto the children of Israel before the LORD, to
make an
atonement for your souls.
Take the
atonement money from the Israelites and use it for the service of the Tent of Meeting. It will serve as a
memorial for the Israelites before the LORD to
make atonement for your lives.”
Thou shalt also
make a
laver of brass, and his foot also of brass, to wash
withal: and thou shalt put it between the tabernacle of the congregation and the altar, and thou shalt put water therein.
“You are to make a bronze basin with a bronze stand for washing. Set it between the Tent of Meeting and the altar, and put water in it,
Upon man’s flesh shall it not be poured, neither shall ye make any other like it, after the composition of it: it is holy, and it shall be holy unto you.
It must not be used to
anoint an ordinary man, and you must not
make anything like it with the same formula. It is holy, and it must be holy to you.
And as for the
perfume which thou shalt
make, ye shall not
make to
yourselves according to the composition thereof: it shall be unto thee holy for the LORD.
You are never to use this formula to
make incense for
yourselves; you shall regard it as holy to the LORD.
Whosoever shall
make like unto that, to smell
thereto, shall even be cut off from his people.
Anyone who
makes something like it to enjoy its
fragrance shall be cut off from his people.”
And I, behold, I have given with him Aholiab, the son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of
Dan: and in the hearts of all that are wise hearted I have put wisdom, that they may
make all that I have commanded thee;
Moreover, I have selected Oholiab son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of
Dan, as his assistant. I have also given skill to all the
craftsmen, that they may fashion all that I have commanded you:
And the
anointing oil, and sweet incense for the holy place: according to all that I have commanded thee shall they do.
in addition to the
anointing oil and
fragrant incense for the Holy Place. They are to
make them according to all that I have commanded you.”
And when the people saw that Moses delayed to come down out of the mount, the people gathered themselves together unto Aaron, and said unto him, Up,
make us gods, which shall go before us; for as for this Moses, the man that brought us up out of the land of Egypt, we
wot not what is become of him.
Now when the people saw that Moses was delayed in coming down from the mountain, they gathered around Aaron and said, “Come, make us gods who will go before us. As for this Moses who brought us up out of the land of Egypt, we do not know what has happened to him!”
Now therefore let me alone, that my wrath may wax hot against them, and that I may
consume them: and I will
make of thee a great nation.
Now leave Me alone, so that My anger may burn against them and
consume them. Then I will
make you into a great nation.”
Remember Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, thy servants, to whom thou swarest by thine own self, and saidst unto them, I will multiply your seed as the stars of heaven, and all this land that I have spoken of will I give unto your seed, and they shall
inherit it for ever.
Remember Your servants Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, to whom You
swore by Your very self when You declared, ‘I will
make your descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky, and I will give your descendants all this land that I have promised, and it shall be their inheritance
forever.’”
For they said unto me,
Make us gods, which shall go before us: for as for this Moses, the man that brought us up out of the land of Egypt, we
wot not what is become of him.
They told me, ‘Make us gods who will go before us. As for this Moses who brought us up out of the land of Egypt, we do not know what has happened to him!’
And it came to pass on the
morrow, that Moses said unto the people, Ye have
sinned a great sin: and now I will go up unto the LORD;
peradventure I shall
make an
atonement for your sin.
The next day Moses said to the people, “You have committed a great sin. Now I will go up to the LORD; perhaps I can
make atonement for your sin.”
And he said, I will
make all my goodness pass before thee, and I will
proclaim the name of the LORD before thee; and will be
gracious to whom I will be
gracious, and will
shew mercy on whom I will
shew mercy.
“I will cause all My goodness to pass before you,” the LORD replied, “and I will
proclaim My name—the LORD—in your presence. I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I will have
compassion on whom I have
compassion.”
And he said, Behold, I make a covenant: before all thy people I will do marvels, such as have not been done in all the earth, nor in any nation: and all the people among which thou art shall see the work of the LORD: for it is a terrible thing that I will do with thee.
And the LORD said, “Behold, I am making a covenant. Before all your people I will perform wonders that have never been done in any nation in all the world. All the people among whom you live will see the LORD’s work, for it is an
awesome thing that I am doing with you.
Take
heed to
thyself, lest thou
make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land
whither thou goest, lest it be for a
snare in the midst of thee:
Be careful not to
make a treaty with the inhabitants of the land you are entering, lest they become a
snare in your midst.
Lest thou
make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land, and they go a
whoring after their gods, and do sacrifice unto their gods, and one call thee, and thou eat of his sacrifice;
Do not
make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land, for when they
prostitute themselves to their gods and sacrifice to them, they will
invite you, and you will eat their sacrifices.
And thou take of their daughters unto thy sons, and their daughters go a
whoring after their gods, and
make thy sons go a
whoring after their gods.
And when you take some of their daughters as brides for your sons, their daughters will
prostitute themselves to their gods and cause your sons to do the same.
Thou shalt
make thee no
molten gods.
And every wise hearted among you shall come, and make all that the LORD hath commanded;
Let every skilled
craftsman among you come and
make everything that the LORD has commanded:
And in the cutting of stones, to set them, and in
carving of wood, to
make any manner of
cunning work.
to cut gemstones for settings, and to
carve wood, so that he may be a master of every artistic craft.
And they received of Moses all the offering, which the children of Israel had brought for the work of the service of the sanctuary, to
make it
withal. And they brought yet unto him free offerings every morning.
They received from Moses all the contributions that the Israelites had brought to carry out the service of constructing the sanctuary. Meanwhile, the people continued to bring
freewill offerings morning after morning,
And they spake unto Moses, saying, The people bring much more than enough for the service of the work, which the LORD commanded to make.
and said to Moses, “The people are bringing more than enough for doing the work the LORD has commanded us to do.”
And Moses gave commandment, and they caused it to be proclaimed throughout the camp, saying, Let neither man nor woman make any more work for the offering of the sanctuary. So the people were restrained from bringing.
After Moses had given an order, they sent a
proclamation throughout the camp: “No man or woman should
make anything else as an offering for the sanctuary.” So the people were restrained from bringing more,
For the stuff they had was sufficient for all the work to make it, and too much.
since what they already had was more than enough to perform all the work.
One board had two tenons, equally distant one from another: thus did he make for all the boards of the tabernacle.
Two tenons were connected to each other for each frame. He made all the frames of the tabernacle in this way.
And
therewith he made the sockets to the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, and the
brasen altar, and the
brasen grate for it, and all the vessels of the altar,
He used it to
make the bases for the entrance to the Tent of Meeting, the bronze altar and its bronze
grating, all the utensils for the altar,
And he shall put his hand upon the head of the burnt offering; and it shall be accepted for him to
make atonement for him.
He is to lay his hand on the head of the burnt offering, so it can be accepted on his behalf to
make atonement for him.
And he shall do with the
bullock as he did with the
bullock for a sin offering, so shall he do with this: and the priest shall
make an
atonement for them, and it shall be
forgiven them.
He shall offer this bull just as he did the bull for the sin offering; in this way the priest will
make atonement on their behalf, and they will be
forgiven.
And he shall burn all his fat upon the altar, as the fat of the sacrifice of peace offerings: and the priest shall
make an
atonement for him as concerning his sin, and it shall be
forgiven him.
He must burn all its fat on the altar, like the fat of the peace offerings; thus the priest will
make atonement for that man’s sin, and he will be
forgiven.
And he shall take away all the fat thereof, as the fat is taken away from off the sacrifice of peace offerings; and the priest shall burn it upon the altar for a sweet savour unto the LORD; and the priest shall
make an
atonement for him, and it shall be
forgiven him.
Then he is to remove all the fat, just as it is removed from the peace offering, and the priest is to burn it on the altar as a pleasing
aroma to the LORD. In this way the priest will
make atonement for him, and he will be
forgiven.
And he shall take away all the fat thereof, as the fat of the lamb is taken away from the sacrifice of the peace offerings; and the priest shall burn them upon the altar, according to the offerings made by fire unto the LORD: and the priest shall
make an
atonement for his sin that he hath committed, and it shall be
forgiven him.
And he shall remove all the fat, just as the fat of the lamb is removed from the peace offerings, and he shall burn it on the altar along with the offerings made by fire to the LORD. In this way the priest will
make atonement for him for the sin he has committed, and he will be
forgiven.
And he shall bring his
trespass offering unto the LORD for his sin which he hath
sinned, a female from the flock, a lamb or a
kid of the goats, for a sin offering; and the priest shall
make an
atonement for him concerning his sin.
and he must bring his guilt offering to the LORD for the sin he has committed: a female lamb or goat from the flock as a sin offering. And the priest will
make atonement for him concerning his sin.
And he shall offer the second for a burnt offering, according to the manner: and the priest shall
make an
atonement for him for his sin which he hath
sinned, and it shall be
forgiven him.
And the priest must prepare the second bird as a burnt offering according to the
ordinance. In this way the priest will
make atonement for him for the sin he has committed, and he will be
forgiven.
And the priest shall
make an
atonement for him as touching his sin that he hath
sinned in one of these, and it shall be
forgiven him: and the
remnant shall be the priest’s, as a meat offering.
In this way the priest will
make atonement for him for any of these sins he has committed, and he will be
forgiven. The remainder will belong to the priest, like the grain offering.”
And he shall
make amends for the
harm that he hath done in the holy thing, and shall add the fifth part
thereto, and give it unto the priest: and the priest shall
make an
atonement for him with the ram of the
trespass offering, and it shall be
forgiven him.
Regarding any holy thing he has
harmed, he must
make restitution by adding a fifth of its value to it and giving it to the priest, who will
make atonement on his behalf with the ram as a guilt offering, and he will be
forgiven.
And he shall bring a ram without
blemish out of the flock, with thy
estimation, for a
trespass offering, unto the priest: and the priest shall
make an
atonement for him concerning his ignorance wherein he
erred and
wist it not, and it shall be
forgiven him.
He is to bring to the priest an
unblemished ram of proper value from the flock as a guilt offering. Then the priest will
make atonement on his behalf for the wrong he has committed in ignorance, and he will be
forgiven.
Or all that about which he hath
sworn falsely; he shall even restore it in the principal, and shall add the fifth part more
thereto, and give it unto him to whom it appertaineth, in the day of his
trespass offering.
or anything else about which he has
sworn falsely. He must
make restitution in full, add a fifth of the value, and pay it to the owner on the day he acknowledges his guilt.
And the priest shall
make an
atonement for him before the LORD: and it shall be
forgiven him for any thing of all that he hath done in
trespassing therein.
In this way the priest will
make atonement for him before the LORD, and he will be
forgiven for anything he may have done to
incur guilt.”
And no sin offering,
whereof any of the blood is brought into the tabernacle of the congregation to
reconcile withal in the holy place, shall be eaten: it shall be burnt in the fire.
But no sin offering may be eaten if its blood has been brought into the Tent of Meeting to
make atonement in the Holy Place; it must be burned.
As the sin offering is, so is the
trespass offering: there is one law for them: the priest that
maketh atonement therewith shall have it.
The guilt offering is like the sin offering; the same law applies to both. It belongs to the priest who
makes atonement with it.
And he
slew it; and Moses took the blood, and put it upon the horns of the altar round about with his finger, and
purified the altar, and poured the blood at the bottom of the altar, and
sanctified it, to
make reconciliation upon it.
Moses slaughtered the bull, took some of the blood, and applied it with his finger to all four horns of the altar,
purifying the altar. He poured out the rest of the blood at the base of the altar and consecrated it so that
atonement could be made on it.
As he hath done this day, so the LORD hath commanded to do, to
make an
atonement for you.
What has been done
today has been commanded by the LORD in order to
make atonement on your behalf.
And Moses said unto Aaron, Go unto the altar, and offer thy sin offering, and thy burnt offering, and
make an
atonement for
thyself, and for the people: and offer the offering of the people, and
make an
atonement for them; as the LORD commanded.
Then Moses said to Aaron, “Approach the altar and sacrifice your sin offering and your burnt offering to
make atonement for
yourself and for the people. And sacrifice the people’s offering to
make atonement for them, as the LORD has commanded.”
Wherefore have ye not eaten the sin offering in the holy place, seeing it is most holy, and God hath given it you to bear the iniquity of the congregation, to
make atonement for them before the LORD?
“Why didn’t you eat the sin offering in the holy place? For it is most holy; it was given to you to take away the guilt of the congregation by making
atonement for them before the LORD.
And for these ye shall be unclean:
whosoever toucheth the
carcase of them shall be unclean until the even.
These creatures will
make you unclean.
Whoever touches their
carcasses will be unclean until evening,
To make a difference between the unclean and the clean, and between the beast that may be eaten and the beast that may not be eaten.
You must distinguish between the unclean and the clean, between animals that may be eaten and those that may not.’”
Who shall offer it before the LORD, and
make an
atonement for her; and she shall be
cleansed from the issue of her blood. This is the law for her that hath born a male or a female.
And the priest will present them before the LORD and
make atonement for her; and she shall be
ceremonially cleansed from her flow of blood. This is the law for a woman giving birth, whether to a male or to a female.
