Berean Standard Bible BSB Bible
And he shall lay his hand upon the head of the goat, and kill it in the place where they kill the burnt offering before the LORD: it is a sin offering.
He is to lay his hand on the head of the goat and slaughter it at the place where the burnt offering is slaughtered before the LORD. It is a sin offering.
And the priest shall take of the blood of the sin offering with his finger, and put it upon the horns of the altar of burnt offering, and shall pour out his blood at the bottom of the altar of burnt offering.
Then the priest is to take some of the blood of the sin offering with his finger, put it on the horns of the altar of burnt offering, and pour out the rest of the blood at the base of the altar.
And he shall burn all his fat upon the altar, as the fat of the sacrifice of peace
offerings: and the priest shall make an
atonement for him as concerning his sin, and it shall be
forgiven him.
He must burn all its fat on the altar, like the fat of the peace
offerings; thus the priest will make
atonement for that man’s sin, and he will be
forgiven.
Or if his sin, which he hath
sinned, come to his knowledge: then he shall bring his
offering, a
kid of the goats, a female without
blemish, for his sin which he hath
sinned.
When he becomes aware of the sin he has committed, he must bring an
unblemished female goat as his
offering for that sin.
And he shall lay his hand upon the head of the sin
offering, and
slay the sin
offering in the place of the burnt
offering.
He is to lay his hand on the head of the sin offering and slaughter it at the place of the burnt offering.
And the priest shall take of the blood thereof with his finger, and put it upon the horns of the altar of burnt offering, and shall pour out all the blood thereof at the bottom of the altar.
Then the priest is to take some of its blood with his finger, put it on the horns of the altar of burnt offering, and pour out the rest of the blood at the base of the altar.
And he shall take away all the fat thereof, as the fat is taken away from off the sacrifice of peace
offerings; and the priest shall burn it upon the altar for a sweet savour unto the LORD; and the priest shall make an
atonement for him, and it shall be
forgiven him.
Then he is to remove all the fat, just as it is removed from the peace
offering, and the priest is to burn it on the altar as a pleasing
aroma to the LORD. In this way the priest will make
atonement for him, and he will be
forgiven.
And if he bring a lamb for a sin
offering, he shall bring it a female without
blemish.
If, however, he brings a lamb as a sin
offering, he must bring an
unblemished female.
And he shall lay his hand upon the head of the sin
offering, and
slay it for a sin
offering in the place where they kill the burnt
offeringAnd he is to lay his hand on the head of the sin offering and slaughter it as a sin offering at the place where the burnt offering is slaughtered.
And the priest shall take of the blood of the sin offering with his finger, and put it upon the horns of the altar of burnt offering, and shall pour out all the blood thereof at the bottom of the altar:
Then the priest is to take some of the blood of the sin offering with his finger, put it on the horns of the altar of burnt offering, and pour out the rest of its blood at the base of the altar.
And he shall take away all the fat thereof, as the fat of the lamb is taken away from the sacrifice of the peace
offerings; and the priest shall burn them upon the altar, according to the
offerings made by fire unto the LORD: and the priest shall make an
atonement for his sin that he hath committed, and it shall be
forgiven him.
And he shall remove all the fat, just as the fat of the lamb is removed from the peace
offerings, and he shall burn it on the altar along with the
offerings made by fire to the LORD. In this way the priest will make
atonement for him for the sin he has committed, and he will be
forgiven.
And he shall bring his
trespass offering unto the LORD for his sin which he hath
sinned, a female from the flock, a lamb or a
kid of the goats, for a sin
offering; and the priest shall make an
atonement for him concerning his sin.
and he must bring his guilt
offering to the LORD for the sin he has committed: a female lamb or goat from the flock as a sin
offering. And the priest will make
atonement for him concerning his sin.
And if he be not able to bring a lamb, then he shall bring for his
trespass, which he hath committed, two turtledoves, or two young pigeons, unto the LORD; one for a sin
offering, and the other for a burnt
offering.
If, however, he cannot afford a lamb, he may bring to the LORD as
restitution for his sin two turtledoves or two young pigeons—one as a sin
offering and the other as a burnt
offering.
And he shall bring them unto the priest, who shall offer that which is for the sin
offering first, and
wring off his head from his neck, but shall not divide it
asunder:
He is to bring them to the priest, who shall first present the one for the sin offering. He is to twist its head at the front of its neck without severing it;
And he shall
sprinkle of the blood of the sin
offering upon the side of the altar; and the rest of the blood shall be
wrung out at the bottom of the altar: it is a sin
offering.
then he is to
sprinkle some of the blood of the sin
offering on the side of the altar, while the rest of the blood is drained out at the base of the altar. It is a sin
offering.
And he shall offer the second for a burnt
offering, according to the manner: and the priest shall make an
atonement for him for his sin which he hath
sinned, and it shall be
forgiven him.
And the priest must prepare the second bird as a burnt
offering according to the
ordinance. In this way the priest will make
atonement for him for the sin he has committed, and he will be
forgiven.
But if he be not able to bring two turtledoves, or two young pigeons, then he that
sinned shall bring for his
offering the tenth part of an
ephah of fine flour for a sin
offering; he shall put no oil upon it, neither shall he put any
frankincense thereon: for it is a sin
offering.
But if he cannot afford two turtledoves or two young pigeons, he may bring a tenth of an
ephah of fine flour as a sin
offering. He must not put olive oil or
frankincense on it, because it is a sin
offering.
Then shall he bring it to the priest, and the priest shall take his handful of it, even a
memorial thereof, and burn it on the altar, according to the
offerings made by fire unto the LORD: it is a sin
offering.
He is to bring it to the priest, who shall take a handful from it as a
memorial portion and burn it on the altar
atop the
offerings made by fire to the LORD; it is a sin
offering.
And the priest shall make an
atonement for him as touching his sin that he hath
sinned in one of these, and it shall be
forgiven him: and the
remnant shall be the priest’s, as a meat
offering.
In this way the priest will make
atonement for him for any of these sins he has committed, and he will be
forgiven. The remainder will belong to the priest, like the grain
offering.”
If a soul commit a
trespass, and sin through ignorance, in the holy things of the LORD; then he shall bring for his
trespass unto the LORD a ram without
blemish out of the flocks, with thy
estimation by shekels of silver, after the
shekel of the sanctuary, for a
trespass offering:
“If someone acts unfaithfully and sins
unintentionally against any of the LORD’s holy things, he must bring his guilt
offering to the LORD: an
unblemished ram from the flock, of proper value in silver shekels according to the sanctuary
shekel; it is a guilt
offering.
And he shall make
amends for the
harm that he hath done in the holy thing, and shall add the fifth part
thereto, and give it unto the priest: and the priest shall make an
atonement for him with the ram of the
trespass offering, and it shall be
forgiven him.
Regarding any holy thing he has
harmed, he must make
restitution by adding a fifth of its value to it and giving it to the priest, who will make
atonement on his behalf with the ram as a guilt
offering, and he will be
forgiven.
And he shall bring a ram without
blemish out of the flock, with thy
estimation, for a
trespass offering, unto the priest: and the priest shall make an
atonement for him concerning his ignorance wherein he
erred and
wist it not, and it shall be
forgiven him.
He is to bring to the priest an
unblemished ram of proper value from the flock as a guilt
offering. Then the priest will make
atonement on his behalf for the wrong he has committed in ignorance, and he will be
forgiven.
It is a guilt offering; he was certainly guilty before the LORD.”
Or all that about which he hath
sworn falsely; he shall even restore it in the principal, and shall add the fifth part more
thereto, and give it unto him to whom it appertaineth, in the day of his
trespass offering.
or anything else about which he has
sworn falsely. He must make
restitution in full, add a fifth of the value, and pay it to the owner on the day he acknowledges his guilt.
Then he must bring to the priest his guilt
offering to the LORD: an
unblemished ram of proper value from the flock.
Command Aaron and his sons, saying, This is the law of the burnt offering: It is the burnt offering, because of the burning upon the altar all night unto the morning, and the fire of the altar shall be burning in it.
“Command Aaron and his sons that this is the law of the burnt
offering: The burnt
offering is to remain on the
hearth of the altar all night, until morning, and the fire must be kept burning on the altar.
And the priest shall put on his linen garment, and his linen
breeches shall he put upon his flesh, and take up the ashes which the fire hath consumed with the burnt
offering on the altar, and he shall put them beside the altar.
And the priest shall put on his linen
robe and linen undergarments, and he shall remove from the altar the ashes of the burnt
offering that the fire has consumed and place them beside it.
And the fire upon the altar shall be burning in it; it shall not be put out: and the priest shall burn wood on it every morning, and lay the burnt
offering in order upon it; and he shall burn
thereon the fat of the peace
offerings.
The fire on the altar shall be kept burning; it must not be
extinguished. Every morning the priest is to add wood to the fire, arrange the burnt
offering on it, and burn the fat portions of the peace
offerings on it.
And this is the law of the meat offering: the sons of Aaron shall offer it before the LORD, before the altar.
Now this is the law of the grain offering: Aaron’s sons shall present it before the LORD in front of the altar.
And he shall take of it his handful, of the flour of the meat
offering, and of the oil thereof, and all the
frankincense which is upon the meat
offering, and shall burn it upon the altar for a sweet savour, even the
memorial of it, unto the LORD.
The priest is to remove a handful of fine flour and olive oil, together with all the
frankincense from the grain
offering, and burn the
memorial portion on the altar as a pleasing
aroma to the LORD.
It shall not be
baken with
leaven. I have given it unto them for their portion of my
offerings made by fire; it is most holy, as is the sin
offering, and as the
trespass offering.
It must not be
baked with
leaven; I have assigned it as their portion of My
offerings made by fire. It is most holy, like the sin
offering and the guilt
offering.
All the males among the children of Aaron shall eat of it. It shall be a statute for ever in your generations concerning the offerings of the LORD made by fire: every one that toucheth them shall be holy.
Any male among the sons of Aaron may eat it. This is a permanent portion from the offerings made by fire to the LORD for the generations to come. Anything that touches them will become holy.”
This is the
offering of Aaron and of his sons, which they shall offer unto the LORD in the day when he is
anointed; the tenth part of an
ephah of fine flour for a meat
offering perpetual, half of it in the morning, and half thereof at night.
“This is the
offering that Aaron and his sons must present to the LORD on the day he is
anointed: a tenth of an
ephah of fine flour as a regular grain
offering, half of it in the morning and half in the evening.
In a pan it shall be made with oil; and when it is
baken, thou shalt bring it in: and the
baken pieces of the meat
offering shalt thou offer for a sweet savour unto the LORD.
It shall be prepared with oil on a
griddle; you are to bring it well-
kneaded and present it as a grain
offering broken in pieces, a pleasing
aroma to the LORD.
For every meat offering for the priest shall be wholly burnt: it shall not be eaten.
Every grain offering for a priest shall be burned completely; it is not to be eaten.”
Speak unto Aaron and to his sons, saying, This is the law of the sin offering: In the place where the burnt offering is killed shall the sin offering be killed before the LORD: it is most holy.
“Tell Aaron and his sons that this is the law of the sin offering: In the place where the burnt offering is slaughtered, the sin offering shall be slaughtered before the LORD; it is most holy.
The clay pot in which the sin
offering is boiled must be broken; if it is boiled in a bronze pot, the pot must be
scoured and
rinsed with water.
And no sin
offering,
whereof any of the blood is brought into the tabernacle of the congregation to
reconcile withal in the holy place, shall be eaten: it shall be burnt in the fire.
But no sin
offering may be eaten if its blood has been brought into the Tent of Meeting to make
atonement in the Holy Place; it must be burned.
Likewise this is the law of the
trespass offering: it is most holy.
“Now this is the law of the guilt offering, which is most holy:
In the place where they kill the burnt
offering shall they kill the
trespass offering: and the blood thereof shall he
sprinkle round about upon the altar.
The guilt
offering must be slaughtered in the place where the burnt
offering is slaughtered, and the priest shall
sprinkle its blood on all sides of the altar.
And the priest shall burn them upon the altar for an
offering made by fire unto the LORD: it is a
trespass offering.
The priest shall burn them on the altar as an offering made by fire to the LORD; it is a guilt offering.
As the sin
offering is, so is the
trespass offering: there is one law for them: the priest that maketh
atonement therewith shall have it.
The guilt
offering is like the sin
offering; the same law applies to both. It belongs to the priest who makes
atonement with it.
And the priest that offereth any man’s burnt offering, even the priest shall have to himself the skin of the burnt offering which he hath offered.
As for the priest who presents a burnt
offering for
anyone, the hide of that
offering belongs to him.
And all the meat
offering that is
baken in the
oven, and all that is dressed in the
fryingpan, and in the pan, shall be the priest’s that offereth it.
Likewise, every grain
offering that is
baked in an
oven or
cooked in a pan or on a
griddle belongs to the priest who presents it,
And every meat offering, mingled with oil, and dry, shall all the sons of Aaron have, one as much as another.
and every grain offering, whether dry or mixed with oil, belongs equally to all the sons of Aaron.
And this is the law of the sacrifice of peace offerings, which he shall offer unto the LORD.
Now this is the law of the peace offering that one may present to the LORD:
Besides the cakes, he shall offer for his
offering leavened bread with the sacrifice of
thanksgiving of his peace
offerings.
Along with his peace
offering of
thanksgiving he is to present an
offering with cakes of
leavened bread.
And of it he shall offer one out of the whole
oblation for an
heave offering unto the LORD, and it shall be the priest’s that sprinkleth the blood of the peace
offerings.
From the cakes he must present one portion of each offering as a contribution to the LORD. It belongs to the priest who sprinkles the blood of the peace offering.
And the flesh of the sacrifice of his peace
offerings for
thanksgiving shall be eaten the same day that it is offered; he shall not leave any of it until the morning.
The meat of the sacrifice of his peace
offering of
thanksgiving must be eaten on the day he offers it; none of it may be left until morning.
But if the sacrifice of his
offering be a
vow, or a voluntary
offering, it shall be eaten the same day that he offereth his sacrifice: and on the
morrow also the remainder of it shall be eaten:
If, however, the sacrifice he offers is a
vow or a
freewill offering, it shall be eaten on the day he presents his sacrifice, but the remainder may be eaten on the next day.
And if any of the flesh of the sacrifice of his peace
offerings be eaten at all on the third day, it shall not be accepted, neither shall it be imputed unto him that offereth it: it shall be an
abomination, and the soul that eateth of it shall bear his iniquity.
If any of the meat from his peace
offering is eaten on the third day, it will not be accepted. It will not be credited to the one who presented it; it shall be an
abomination, and the one who eats of it shall bear his iniquity.
But the soul that eateth of the flesh of the sacrifice of peace
offerings, that
pertain unto the LORD, having his uncleanness upon him, even that soul shall be cut off from his people.
But if
anyone who is unclean eats meat from the peace
offering that belongs to the LORD, that person must be cut off from his people.
Moreover the soul that shall touch any unclean thing, as the uncleanness of man, or any unclean beast, or any
abominable unclean thing, and eat of the flesh of the sacrifice of peace
offerings, which
pertain unto the LORD, even that soul shall be cut off from his people.
If one touches anything unclean, whether human uncleanness, an unclean animal, or any unclean,
detestable thing, and then eats any of the meat of the peace
offering that belongs to the LORD, that person must be cut off from his people.”
For
whosoever eateth the fat of the beast, of which men offer an
offering made by fire unto the LORD, even the soul that eateth it shall be cut off from his people.
If
anyone eats the fat of an animal from which an
offering made by fire may be presented to the LORD, the one who eats it must be cut off from his people.
Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, He that offereth the sacrifice of his peace
offerings unto the LORD shall bring his
oblation unto the LORD of the sacrifice of his peace
offerings.
“Speak to the Israelites and say, ‘
Anyone who presents a peace
offering to the LORD must bring it as his sacrifice to the LORD.
His own hands shall bring the offerings of the LORD made by fire, the fat with the breast, it shall he bring, that the breast may be waved for a wave offering before the LORD.
With his own hands he is to bring the offerings made by fire to the LORD; he shall bring the fat, together with the breast, and wave the breast as a wave offering before the LORD.
And the right shoulder shall ye give unto the priest for an
heave offering of the sacrifices of your peace
offerings.
And you are to give the right
thigh to the priest as a contribution from your peace
offering.
He among the sons of Aaron, that offereth the blood of the peace offerings, and the fat, shall have the right shoulder for his part.
The son of Aaron who presents the blood and fat of the peace
offering shall have the right
thigh as a portion.
For the wave breast and the
heave shoulder have I taken of the children of Israel from off the sacrifices of their peace
offerings, and have given them unto Aaron the priest and unto his sons by a statute for ever from among the children of Israel.
I have taken from the sons of Israel the breast of the wave
offering and the
thigh of the contribution of their peace
offerings, and I have given them to Aaron the priest and his sons as a permanent portion from the sons of Israel.’”
This is the portion of the
anointing of Aaron, and of the
anointing of his sons, out of the
offerings of the LORD made by fire, in the day when he presented them to minister unto the LORD in the priest’s office;
This is the portion of the offerings made by fire to the LORD for Aaron and his sons since the day they were presented to serve the LORD as priests.
This is the law of the burnt
offering, of the meat
offering, and of the sin
offering, and of the
trespass offering, and of the consecrations, and of the sacrifice of the peace
offerings;
This is the law of the burnt
offering, the grain
offering, the sin
offering, the guilt
offering, the
ordination offering, and the peace
offering,
Which the LORD commanded Moses in mount
Sinai, in the day that he commanded the children of Israel to offer their oblations unto the LORD, in the wilderness of
Sinai.
which the LORD gave Moses on Mount
Sinai on the day He commanded the Israelites to present their
offerings to the LORD in the Wilderness of
Sinai.
“Take Aaron and his sons, their garments, the
anointing oil, the bull of the sin
offering, the two rams, and the
basket of
unleavened bread,
And he brought the
bullock for the sin
offering: and Aaron and his sons laid their hands upon the head of the
bullock for the sin
offering.
Moses then brought the bull near for the sin offering, and Aaron and his sons laid their hands on its head.
And he brought the ram for the burnt offering: and Aaron and his sons laid their hands upon the head of the ram.
Then Moses presented the ram for the burnt offering, and Aaron and his sons laid their hands on its head.
And he washed the inwards and the legs in water; and Moses burnt the whole ram upon the altar: it was a burnt sacrifice for a sweet savour, and an offering made by fire unto the LORD; as the LORD commanded Moses.
He washed the
entrails and legs with water and burned the entire ram on the altar as a burnt
offering, a pleasing
aroma, an
offering made by fire to the LORD, just as the LORD had commanded Moses.
And he put all upon Aaron’s hands, and upon his sons’ hands, and waved them for a wave offering before the LORD.
He put all these in the hands of Aaron and his sons and waved them before the LORD as a wave offering.
And Moses took them from off their hands, and burnt them on the altar upon the burnt offering: they were consecrations for a sweet savour: it is an offering made by fire unto the LORD.
Then Moses took these from their hands and burned them on the altar with the burnt
offering. This was an
ordination offering, a pleasing
aroma, an
offering made by fire to the LORD.
And Moses took the breast, and waved it for a wave
offering before the LORD: for of the ram of
consecration it was Moses’ part; as the LORD commanded Moses.
He also took the breast—Moses’ portion of the ram of
ordination—and waved it before the LORD as a wave
offering, as the LORD had commanded him.
And Moses said unto Aaron and to his sons,
Boil the flesh at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation: and there eat it with the bread that is in the
basket of consecrations, as I commanded, saying, Aaron and his sons shall eat it.
And Moses said to Aaron and his sons, “
Boil the meat at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting and eat it there with the bread that is in the
basket of
ordination offerings, as I commanded, saying, ‘Aaron and his sons are to eat it.’
And he said unto Aaron, Take thee a young
calf for a sin
offering, and a ram for a burnt
offering, without
blemish, and offer them before the LORD.
He said to Aaron, “Take for
yourself a young bull for a sin
offering and a ram for a burnt
offering, both without
blemish, and present them before the LORD.
And unto the children of Israel thou shalt speak, saying, Take ye a
kid of the goats for a sin
offering; and a
calf and a lamb, both of the first year, without
blemish, for a burnt
offering;
Then speak to the Israelites and say, ‘Take a male goat for a sin
offering, a
calf and a lamb—both a year old and without
blemish—for a burnt
offering,
Also a
bullock and a ram for peace
offerings, to sacrifice before the LORD; and a meat
offering mingled with oil: for to day the LORD will appear unto you.
an ox and a ram for a peace
offering to sacrifice before the LORD, and a grain
offering mixed with oil. For
today the LORD will appear to you.’”
And Moses said unto Aaron, Go unto the altar, and offer thy sin
offering, and thy burnt
offering, and make an
atonement for
thyself, and for the people: and offer the
offering of the people, and make an
atonement for them; as the LORD commanded.
Then Moses said to Aaron, “Approach the altar and sacrifice your sin
offering and your burnt
offering to make
atonement for
yourself and for the people. And sacrifice the people’s
offering to make
atonement for them, as the LORD has commanded.”
Aaron therefore went unto the altar, and
slew the
calf of the sin
offering, which was for himself.
So Aaron approached the altar and slaughtered the
calf as a sin
offering for himself.
But the fat, and the
kidneys, and the
caul above the liver of the sin
offering, he burnt upon the altar; as the LORD commanded Moses.
On the altar he burned the fat, the
kidneys, and the
lobe of the liver from the sin
offering, as the LORD had commanded Moses.
And he
slew the burnt
offering; and Aaron’s sons presented unto him the blood, which he
sprinkled round about upon the altar.
Then Aaron slaughtered the burnt
offering. His sons brought him the blood, and he
sprinkled it on all sides of the altar.
And they presented the burnt offering unto him, with the pieces thereof, and the head: and he burnt them upon the altar.
They brought him the burnt offering piece by piece, including the head, and he burned them on the altar.
And he did wash the inwards and the legs, and burnt them upon the burnt offering on the altar.
He washed the
entrails and the legs and burned them
atop the burnt
offering on the altar.
And he brought the people’s
offering, and took the goat, which was the sin
offering for the people, and
slew it, and offered it for sin, as the first.
Aaron then presented the people’s offering. He took the male goat for the people’s sin offering, slaughtered it, and offered it for sin like the first one.
And he brought the burnt offering, and offered it according to the manner.
He presented the burnt
offering and offered it according to the
ordinance.
And he brought the meat offering, and took an handful thereof, and burnt it upon the altar, beside the burnt sacrifice of the morning.
Next he presented the grain offering, took a handful of it, and burned it on the altar in addition to the morning’s burnt offering.
He
slew also the
bullock and the ram for a sacrifice of peace
offerings, which was for the people: and Aaron’s sons presented unto him the blood, which he
sprinkled upon the altar round about,
Then he slaughtered the ox and the ram as the people’s peace
offering. His sons brought him the blood, and he
sprinkled it on all sides of the altar.
And the breasts and the right shoulder Aaron waved for a wave offering before the LORD; as Moses commanded.
but he waved the breasts and the right
thigh as a wave
offering before the LORD, as Moses had commanded.
And Aaron lifted up his hand toward the people, and blessed them, and came down from offering of the sin offering, and the burnt offering, and peace offerings.
Aaron lifted up his hands toward the people and blessed them. And having made the sin
offering, the burnt
offering, and the peace
offering, he
stepped down.
And there came a fire out from before the LORD, and consumed upon the altar the burnt
offering and the fat: which when all the people saw, they
shouted, and fell on their faces.
Fire came out from the presence of the LORD and consumed the burnt
offering and the fat portions on the altar. And when all the people saw it, they
shouted for joy and fell facedown.
And Moses spake unto Aaron, and unto
Eleazar and unto
Ithamar, his sons that were left, Take the meat
offering that remaineth of the
offerings of the LORD made by fire, and eat it without
leaven beside the altar: for it is most holy:
And Moses said to Aaron and his remaining sons,
Eleazar and
Ithamar, “Take the grain
offering that remains from the
offerings made by fire to the LORD and eat it without
leaven beside the altar, because it is most holy.
And ye shall eat it in the holy place, because it is thy due, and thy sons’ due, of the sacrifices of the LORD made by fire: for so I am commanded.
You shall eat it in a holy place, because it is your share and your sons’ share of the offerings made by fire to the LORD; for this is what I have been commanded.
And the wave breast and
heave shoulder shall ye eat in a clean place; thou, and thy sons, and thy daughters with thee: for they be thy due, and thy sons’ due, which are given out of the sacrifices of peace
offerings of the children of Israel.
And you and your sons and daughters may eat the breast of the wave
offering and the
thigh of the contribution in a
ceremonially clean place, because these portions have been assigned to you and your children from the peace
offerings of the sons of Israel.
The
heave shoulder and the wave breast shall they bring with the
offerings made by fire of the fat, to wave it for a wave
offering before the LORD; and it shall be thine, and thy sons’ with thee, by a statute for ever; as the LORD hath commanded.
They are to bring the
thigh of the contribution and the breast of the wave
offering, together with the fat portions of the
offerings made by fire, to wave as a wave
offering before the LORD. It will belong permanently to you and your children, as the LORD has commanded.”
And Moses
diligently sought the goat of the sin
offering, and, behold, it was burnt: and he was
angry with
Eleazar and
Ithamar, the sons of Aaron which were left alive, saying,
Later, Moses searched carefully for the goat of the sin
offering, and behold, it had been burned up. He was
angry with
Eleazar and
Ithamar, Aaron’s remaining sons, and asked,
Wherefore have ye not eaten the sin
offering in the holy place, seeing it is most holy, and God hath given it you to bear the iniquity of the congregation, to make
atonement for them before the LORD?
“Why didn’t you eat the sin
offering in the holy place? For it is most holy; it was given to you to take away the guilt of the congregation by making
atonement for them before the LORD.
And Aaron said unto Moses, Behold, this day have they offered their sin
offering and their burnt
offering before the LORD; and such things have
befallen me: and if I had eaten the sin
offering to day, should it have been accepted in the sight of the LORD?
But Aaron replied to Moses, “Behold, this very day they presented their sin
offering and their burnt
offering before the LORD. Since these things have happened to me, if I had eaten the sin
offering today, would it have been acceptable in the sight of the LORD?”
And when the days of her
purifying are fulfilled, for a son, or for a daughter, she shall bring a lamb of the first year for a burnt
offering, and a young
pigeon, or a
turtledove, for a sin
offering, unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, unto the priest:
When the days of her
purification are complete, whether for a son or for a daughter, she is to bring to the priest at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting a year-old lamb for a burnt
offering and a young
pigeon or a
turtledove for a sin
offering.
And if she be not able to bring a lamb, then she shall bring two turtles, or two young pigeons; the one for the burnt
offering, and the other for a sin
offering: and the priest shall make an
atonement for her, and she shall be clean.
But if she cannot afford a lamb, she shall bring two turtledoves or two young pigeons, one for a burnt
offering and the other for a sin
offering. Then the priest will make
atonement for her, and she will be clean.’”
And on the eighth day he shall take two he lambs without
blemish, and one
ewe lamb of the first year without
blemish, and three tenth deals of fine flour for a meat
offering, mingled with oil, and one log of oil.
On the eighth day he is to bring two
unblemished male lambs, an
unblemished ewe lamb a year old, a grain
offering of three-tenths of an
ephah of fine flour mixed with olive oil, and one log of olive oil.
And the priest that maketh him clean shall present the man that is to be made clean, and those things, before the LORD, at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation:
The priest who performs the
cleansing shall present the one to be
cleansed, together with these
offerings, before the LORD at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting.
And the priest shall take one he lamb, and offer him for a
trespass offering, and the log of oil, and wave them for a wave
offering before the LORD:
Then the priest is to take one of the male lambs and present it as a guilt offering, along with the log of olive oil; and he must wave them as a wave offering before the LORD.
And he shall
slay the lamb in the place where he shall kill the sin
offering and the burnt
offering, in the holy place: for as the sin
offering is the priest’s, so is the
trespass offering: it is most holy:
Then he is to slaughter the lamb in the sanctuary area where the sin offering and burnt offering are slaughtered. Like the sin offering, the guilt offering belongs to the priest; it is most holy.
And the priest shall take some of the blood of the
trespass offering, and the priest shall put it upon the
tip of the right ear of him that is to be
cleansed, and upon the
thumb of his right hand, and upon the great
toe of his right foot:
The priest is to take some of the blood from the guilt
offering and put it on the right earlobe of the one to be
cleansed, on the
thumb of his right hand, and on the
big toe of his right foot.
