And, behold, I, even I, do bring a flood of waters upon the earth, to destroy all flesh, wherein is the breath of life, from under heaven; and every thing that is in the earth shall die.
And behold, I will bring floodwaters upon the earth to destroy every creature under the heavens that has the breath of life. Everything on the earth will perish.
And all flesh died that moved upon the earth, both of fowl, and of cattle, and of beast, and of every
creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth, and every man:

And there was a
strife between the herdmen of
Abram’s cattle and the herdmen of Lot’s cattle: and the

Canaanites and the
Perizzites were also living in the land.

period.” So
Laban searched, but could not find the household idols.
And Jacob said to
Simeon and Levi, Ye have troubled me to make me to
stink among the inhabitants of the land, among the
Canaanites and the
Perizzites: and I being few in number, they shall gather themselves together against me, and
slay me; and I shall be destroyed, I and my house.
Then Jacob said to
Simeon and Levi, “You have brought trouble upon me by making me a
stench to the
Canaanites and
Perizzites, the people of this land. We are few in number; if they unite against me and attack me, I and my household will be destroyed.”
And that food shall be for store to the land against the seven years of famine, which shall be in the land of Egypt; that the land perish not through the famine.
This food will be a reserve for the land during the seven years of famine to come upon the land of Egypt. Then the country will not perish in the famine.”
Wherefore shall we die before thine eyes, both we and our land?
buy us and our land for bread, and we and our land will be servants unto Pharaoh: and give us seed, that we may live, and not die, that the land be not
desolate.
Why should we
perish before your eyes—we and our land as well? Purchase us and our land in exchange for food. Then we, along with our land, will be slaves to Pharaoh. Give us seed that we may live and not die, and that the land may not become
desolate.”
And I am come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians, and to bring them up out of that land unto a good land and a large, unto a land flowing with milk and honey; unto the place of the

Perizzites, and the
Hivites, and the Jebusites.

perish.
And if a man
smite the eye of his servant, or the eye of his
maid, that it
perish; he shall let him go free for his eye’s sake.
If a man strikes and blinds the eye of his
manservant or
maidservant, he must let the servant go free as compensation for the eye.
And I will send an angel before thee; and I will drive out the
Canaanite, the Amorite, and the Hittite, and the
Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite:
Observe thou that which I command thee this day: behold, I drive out before thee the Amorite, and the
Canaanite, and the Hittite, and the
Perizzite, and the Hivite, and the Jebusite.
And if a woman have an issue of her blood many days out of the time of her separation, or if it run beyond the time of her separation; all the days of the issue of her uncleanness shall be as the days of her separation: she shall be unclean.
When a woman has a discharge of her blood for many days at a time other than her
menstrual period, or if it continues beyond her
period, she will be unclean all the days of her unclean discharge, just as she is during the days of her
menstruation.
Every bed
whereon she lieth all the days of her issue shall be unto her as the bed of her separation: and
whatsoever she sitteth upon shall be unclean, as the uncleanness of her separation.
Any bed on which she lies or any furniture on which she sits during the days of her discharge will be unclean, like her bed during her
menstrual period.
And of her that is sick of her flowers, and of him that hath an issue, of the man, and of the woman, and of him that lieth with her that is unclean.
of a woman in her
menstrual period, of any male or female who has a discharge, and of a man who lies with an unclean woman.’”
Also thou shalt not approach unto a woman to uncover her nakedness, as long as she is put apart for her uncleanness.
You must not approach a woman to have sexual relations with her during her
menstrual period.
And ye shall perish among the heathen, and the land of your enemies shall eat you up.
You will
perish among the nations, and the land of your enemies will
consume you.
All the days of the
vow of his separation there shall no
razor come upon his head: until the days be fulfilled, in the which he separateth himself unto the LORD, he shall be holy, and shall let the locks of the hair of his head grow.
For the entire
period of his
vow of separation, no
razor shall pass over his head. He must be holy until the time of his separation to the LORD is complete; he must let the hair of his head grow long.
They, and all that
appertained to them, went down alive into the pit, and the earth closed upon them: and they

Anyone who comes near the tabernacle of the LORD will die. Are we all going to
perish?”

We have shot at them;
Heshbon is
perished even unto Dibon, and we have laid them waste even unto Nophah, which reacheth unto Medeba.
But we have overthrown them;
Heshbon is destroyed as far as Dibon. We
demolished them as far as Nophah, which reaches to Medeba.”
And when he looked on Amalek, he took up his parable, and said, Amalek was the first of the nations; but his latter end shall be that he perish for ever.
Then
Balaam saw Amalek and lifted up an
oracle, saying: “Amalek was first among the nations, but his end is destruction.”
And ships shall come from the coast of
Chittim, and shall
afflict Asshur, and shall
afflict Eber, and he also shall
perish for ever.
Ships will come from the coasts of
Cyprus; they will
subdue Asshur and Eber, but they too will
perish forever.”
And the space in which we came from Kadesh-barnea, until we were come over the
brook Zered, was thirty and eight years; until all the generation of the men of war were wasted out from among the host, as the LORD
sware unto them.
The time we spent traveling from Kadesh-barnea until we crossed over the
Brook of Zered was thirty-eight years, until that entire generation of fighting men had
perished from the camp, as the LORD had
sworn to them.
For indeed the hand of the LORD was against them, to destroy them from among the host, until they were consumed.
Indeed, the LORD’s hand was against them, to
eliminate them from the camp, until they had all
perished.
I call heaven and earth to witness against you this day, that ye shall soon utterly
perish from off the land
whereunto ye go over Jordan to possess it; ye shall not
prolong your days upon it, but shall utterly be destroyed.
I call heaven and earth as witnesses against you this day that you will quickly perish from the land that you are crossing the Jordan to possess. You will not live long upon it, but will be utterly destroyed.
When the LORD thy God shall bring thee into the land
whither thou goest to possess it, and hath cast out many nations before thee, the
Hittites, and the Girgashites, and the
Amorites, and the
Canaanites, and the
Perizzites, and the
Hivites, and the Jebusites, seven nations greater and mightier than thou;
When the LORD your God brings you into the land that you are entering to possess, and He drives out before you many nations—the
Hittites, Girgashites,
Amorites,
Canaanites,
Perizzites,
Hivites, and Jebusites, seven nations larger and stronger than you—
Moreover the LORD thy God will send the
hornet among them, until they that are left, and hide themselves from thee, be destroyed.
Moreover, the LORD your God will send the
hornet against them until even the survivors hiding from you have
perished.
And it shall be, if thou do at all
forget the LORD thy God, and walk after other gods, and serve them, and worship them, I
testify against you this day that ye shall surely
perish.
If you ever
forget the LORD your God and go after other gods to worship and bow down to them, I
testify against you
today that you will surely
perish.
As the nations which the LORD destroyeth before your face, so shall ye
perish; because ye would not be
obedient unto the voice of the LORD your God.
Like the nations that the LORD has destroyed before you, so you will perish if you do not obey the LORD your God.
And then the LORD’S wrath be
kindled against you, and he shut up the heaven, that there be no rain, and that the land yield not her fruit; and lest ye
perish quickly from off the good land which the LORD giveth you.
or the anger of the LORD will be
kindled against you. He will shut the heavens so that there will be no rain, nor will the land yield its produce, and you will soon
perish from the good land that the LORD is giving you.
And thou shalt speak and say before the LORD thy God, A
Syrian ready to
perish was my father, and he went down into Egypt, and
sojourned there with a few, and became there a nation, great, mighty, and
populous:
and you are to declare before the LORD your God, “My father was a wandering
Aramean, and he went down to Egypt few in number and lived there and became a great nation, mighty and numerous.
The LORD shall send upon thee
cursing,
vexation, and
rebuke, in all that thou settest thine hand unto for to do, until thou be destroyed, and until thou
perish quickly; because of the wickedness of thy doings, whereby thou hast
forsaken me.
The LORD will send curses upon you, confusion and reproof in all to which you put your hand, until you are destroyed and quickly
perish because of the wickedness you have committed in
forsaking Him.
The LORD shall
smite thee with a consumption, and with a fever, and with an inflammation, and with an extreme burning, and with the sword, and with blasting, and with
mildew; and they shall pursue thee until thou
perish.
The LORD will strike you with wasting disease, with fever and inflammation, with
scorching heat and
drought, and with
blight and
mildew; these will pursue you until you
perish.
And he shall eat the fruit of thy cattle, and the fruit of thy land, until thou be destroyed: which also shall not leave thee either corn, wine, or oil, or the increase of thy
kine, or flocks of thy sheep, until he have destroyed thee.
They will eat the offspring of your
livestock and the produce of your land until you are destroyed. They will leave you no grain or new wine or oil, no
calves of your herds or lambs of your flocks, until they have caused you to
perish.
I
denounce unto you this day, that ye shall surely
perish, and that ye shall not
prolong your days upon the land,
whither thou passest over Jordan to go to possess it.
I declare to you
today that you will surely
perish; you shall not
prolong your days in the land that you are crossing the Jordan to possess.
And Joshua said,
Hereby ye shall know that the living God is among you, and that he will without fail drive out from before you the
Canaanites, and the
Hittites, and the
Hivites, and the
Perizzites, and the Girgashites, and the
Amorites, and the Jebusites.
And it came to pass, when all the kings which were on this side Jordan, in the hills, and in the valleys, and in all the coasts of the great sea over against
Lebanon, the Hittite, and the Amorite, the
Canaanite, the
Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite, heard thereof;
And to the
Canaanite on the east and on the west, and to the Amorite, and the Hittite, and the
Perizzite, and the Jebusite in the mountains, and to the Hivite under
Hermon in the land of Mizpeh.
Joshua made war a long time with all those kings.
Joshua
waged war against all these kings for a long
period of time.
In the mountains, and in the valleys, and in the plains, and in the springs, and in the wilderness, and in the south country; the
Hittites, the
Amorites, and the
Canaanites, the
Perizzites, the
Hivites, and the Jebusites:
the hill country, the foothills, the Arabah, the slopes, the wilderness, and the Negev—the lands of the
Hittites,
Amorites,
Canaanites,
Perizzites,
Hivites, and Jebusites):
And Joshua answered them, If thou be a great people, then get thee up to the wood country, and cut down for
thyself there in the land of the
Perizzites and of the giants, if mount Ephraim be too narrow for thee.
Joshua answered them, “If you have so many people that the hill country of Ephraim is too small for you, go to the forest and clear for
yourself an area in the land of the
Perizzites and the
Rephaim.”
Did not
Achan the son of Zerah commit a
trespass in the
accursed thing, and wrath fell on all the congregation of Israel? and that man
perished not alone in his iniquity.
Was not
Achan son of Zerah unfaithful regarding what was set apart for destruction, bringing wrath upon the whole congregation of Israel? Yet it was not only
Achan who
perished because of his sin!’”
Know for a certainty that the LORD your God will no more drive out any of these nations from before you; but they shall be snares and
traps unto you, and scourges in your sides, and thorns in your eyes, until ye
perish from off this good land which the LORD your God hath given you.
know for sure that the LORD your God will no longer drive out these nations before you. Instead, they will become for you a
snare and a
trap, a
scourge in your sides and thorns in your eyes, until you
perish from this good land that the LORD your God has given you.
When ye have
transgressed the covenant of the LORD your God, which he commanded you, and have gone and served other gods, and bowed
yourselves to them; then shall the anger of the LORD be
kindled against you, and ye shall
perish quickly from off the good land which he hath given unto you.
If you
transgress the covenant of the LORD your God, which He commanded you, and go and serve other gods and bow down to them, then the anger of the LORD will burn against you, and you will quickly
perish from this good land He has given you.”
And Judah went up; and the LORD delivered the
Canaanites and the
Perizzites into their hand: and they
slew of them in Bezek ten thousand men.
When Judah attacked, the LORD delivered the
Canaanites and
Perizzites into their hands, and they struck down ten thousand men at Bezek.
And there they found Adoni-bezek and fought against him, striking down the
Canaanites and
Perizzites.
So let all thine enemies perish, O LORD: but let them that love him be as the sun when he goeth forth in his might. And the land had rest forty years.
So may all Your enemies
perish, O LORD! But may those who love You
shine like the sun at its brightest.” And the land had rest for forty years.
He will keep the feet of his saints, and the wicked shall be silent in darkness; for by strength shall no man prevail.
He guards the steps of His faithful ones, but the wicked perish in darkness; for by his own strength shall no man prevail.
David said
furthermore, As the LORD liveth, the LORD shall
smite him; or his day shall come to die; or he shall descend into battle, and
perish.
David added, “As surely as the LORD lives, the LORD Himself will strike him down; either his day will come and he will die, or he will go into battle and perish.
And David said in his heart, I shall now
perish one day by the hand of Saul: there is nothing better for me than that I should speedily escape into the land of the Philistines; and Saul shall
despair of me, to seek me any more in any coast of Israel: so shall I escape out of his hand.
David, however, said to himself, “One of these days now I will be swept away by the hand of Saul. There is nothing better for me than to escape to the land of the Philistines. Then Saul will stop searching for me all over Israel, and I will slip out of his hand.”
How are the mighty fallen, and the weapons of war perished!
How the mighty have fallen and the weapons of war have perished!”
For the whole house of
Ahab shall
perish: and I will cut off from
Ahab him that pisseth against the wall, and him that is shut up and left in Israel:
The whole house of
Ahab will
perish, and I will cut off from
Ahab every male, both slave and free, in Israel.
And their brethren, which were in their villages, were to come after seven days from time to time with them.
Their relatives came from their villages at fixed times to serve with them for seven-day periods.
Now when these things were done, the princes came to me, saying, The people of Israel, and the priests, and the Levites, have not separated themselves from the people of the lands, doing according to their abominations, even of the
Canaanites, the
Hittites, the
Perizzites, the Jebusites, the
Ammonites, the Moabites, the Egyptians, and the
Amorites.
After these things had been accomplished, the leaders approached me and said, “The people of Israel, including the priests and Levites, have not kept themselves separate from the surrounding peoples whose abominations are like those of the
Canaanites,
Hittites,
Perizzites, Jebusites,
Ammonites, Moabites, Egyptians, and
Amorites.
The children of Solomon’s servants: the children of Sotai, the children of Sophereth, the children of Perida,
The descendants of the servants of Solomon: the descendants of Sotai, the descendants of Sophereth, the descendants of Perida,
And foundest his heart faithful before thee, and madest a covenant with him to give the land of the
Canaanites, the
Hittites, the
Amorites, and the
Perizzites, and the Jebusites, and the Girgashites, to give it, I say, to his seed, and hast performed thy words; for thou art righteous:
You found his heart faithful before You, and made a covenant with him to give the land of the
Canaanites and
Hittites, of the
Amorites and
Perizzites, of the Jebusites and Girgashites— to give it to his descendants. You have kept Your promise, because You are righteous.
And the letters were sent by posts into all the king’s provinces, to destroy, to kill, and to cause to
perish, all Jews, both young and old, little children and women, in one day, even upon the
thirteenth day of the
twelfth month, which is the month
Adar, and to take the
spoil of them for a prey.
And the letters were sent by couriers to each of the royal provinces with the order to destroy, kill, and
annihilate all the Jews—young and old, women and children—and to
plunder their possessions on a single day, the
thirteenth day of
Adar, the
twelfth month.
For if thou altogether holdest thy peace at this time, then shall there
enlargement and
deliverance arise to the Jews from another place; but thou and thy father’s house shall be destroyed: and who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this?
For if you remain silent at this time, relief and
deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your father’s house will
perish. And who knows if perhaps you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this?”
Go, gather together all the Jews that are present in
Shushan, and fast ye for me, and neither eat nor drink three days, night or day: I also and my maidens will fast likewise; and so will I go in unto the king, which is not according to the law: and if I
perish, I
perish.
“Go and
assemble all the Jews who can be found in
Susa, and fast for me. Do not eat or drink for three days, night or day, and I and my maidens will fast as you do. After that, I will go to the king, even though it is against the law. And if I
perish, I
perish!”
For we are sold, I and my people, to be destroyed, to be slain, and to
perish. But if we had been sold for
bondmen and
bondwomen, I had held my tongue, although the enemy could not
countervail the king’s damage.
For my people and I have been sold out to destruction, death, and
annihilation. If we had merely been sold as menservants and maidservants, I would have remained silent, because no such distress would
justify burdening the king.”
Wherein the king granted the Jews which were in every city to gather themselves together, and to stand for their life, to destroy, to
slay, and to cause to
perish, all the power of the people and province that would
assault them, both little ones and women, and to take the
spoil of them for a prey,
By these letters the king permitted the Jews in each and every city the right to
assemble and defend themselves, to destroy, kill, and
annihilate all the forces of any people or province hostile to them, including women and children, and to
plunder their possessions.
And that these days should be remembered and kept throughout every generation, every family, every province, and every city; and that these days of
Purim should not fail from among the Jews, nor the
memorial of them
perish from their seed.
These days should be remembered and celebrated by every generation, family, province, and city, so that these days of
Purim should not fail to be observed among the Jews, nor should the memory of them
fade from their descendants.
Let the day perish wherein I was born, and the night in which it was said, There is a man child conceived.
“May the day of my birth perish, and the night it was said, ‘A boy is conceived.’
Why died I not from the
womb? why did I not give up the ghost when I came out of the
belly?
Why did I not
perish at birth; why did I not die as I came from the
womb?
Remember, I pray thee, who ever perished, being innocent? or where were the righteous cut off?
Consider now, I
plead: Who, being innocent, has ever
perished? Or where have the upright been destroyed?
By the blast of God they perish, and by the breath of his nostrils are they consumed.
By the breath of God they perish, and by the blast of His anger they are consumed.
The old lion
perisheth for lack of prey, and the
stout lion’s whelps are scattered abroad.
The old lion
perishes for lack of prey, and the cubs of the
lioness are scattered.
They are destroyed from morning to evening: they perish for ever without any regarding it.
The paths of their way are turned aside; they go to nothing, and perish.
Caravans turn aside from their routes; they go into the wasteland and perish.
So are the paths of all that
forget God; and the
hypocrite’s hope shall
perish:
Such is the
destiny of all who
forget God; so the hope of the godless will
perish.
His
remembrance shall
perish from the earth, and he shall have no name in the street.
The memory of him perishes from the earth, and he has no name in the land.
Yet he shall perish for ever like his own dung: they which have seen him shall say, Where is he?
he will
perish forever, like his own dung; those who had seen him will ask, ‘Where is he?’
Therefore snares are round about thee, and sudden fear troubleth thee;
The blessing of him that was ready to perish came upon me: and I caused the widow’s heart to sing for joy.
The dying man blessed me, and I made the widow’s heart sing for joy.
Yea,
whereto might the strength of their hands profit me, in whom old age was
perished?
What use to me was the strength of their hands, since their
vigor had left them?
If I have seen any perish for want of clothing, or any poor without covering;
if I have seen one
perish for lack of clothing, or a
needy man without a
cloak,
He keepeth back his soul from the pit, and his life from perishing by the sword.
to preserve his soul from the Pit and his life from perishing by the sword.
All flesh shall perish together, and man shall turn again unto dust.
all flesh would perish together and mankind would return to the dust.
But if they obey not, they shall perish by the sword, and they shall die without knowledge.
But if they do not obey, then they perish by the sword and die without knowledge.
For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.
For the LORD guards the path of the righteous, but the way of the wicked will perish.
Kiss the Son, lest he be
angry, and ye
perish from the way, when his wrath is
kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.
Kiss the Son, lest He be
angry and you
perish in your rebellion, when His wrath ignites in an instant. Blessed are all who take refuge in Him.
When mine enemies are turned back, they shall fall and perish at thy presence.
When my enemies retreat, they
stumble and
perish before You.
O thou enemy, destructions are come to a perpetual end: and thou hast destroyed cities; their
memorial is
perished with them.
The enemy has come to eternal ruin, and You have uprooted their cities; the very memory of them has
vanished.
For the
needy shall not
alway be forgotten: the expectation of the poor shall not
perish for ever.
The LORD is King for ever and ever: the heathen are perished out of his land.
The LORD is King
forever and ever; the nations
perish from His land.
But the wicked shall
perish, and the enemies of the LORD shall be as the fat of lambs: they shall
consume; into smoke shall they
consume away.
But the wicked and enemies of the LORD will
perish like the glory of the fields. They will
vanish; like smoke they will
fade away.
Remove thy stroke away from me: I am consumed by the blow of thine hand.
Remove Your
scourge from me; I am
perishing by the force of Your hand.
Mine enemies speak evil of me, When shall he die, and his name perish?
My enemies say with
malice: “When will he die and be forgotten?”
For he
seeth that wise men die, likewise the
fool and the
brutish person
perish, and leave their wealth to others.
For it is clear that wise men die, and the
foolish and the senseless both
perish and leave their wealth to others.
